Yes what was the average IPO buy price?tks
Was just going through the list and it's working out to roughly 870-890sat per XCR. I guess it depends on whatever bonuses people got.

So how much, roughly, did a person get for 1BTC in the pre-sale?

This should be fun to watch.

Not sure.

Well it is for me as I find all this so interesting to watch... 300k+ dumped at 2000.

1345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE - Oficial Discussion Thread! Launching Soon! Stay Tuned! on: August 01, 2014, 07:34:08 AM
I think Crypti will has above 6000BTC in cap. It's being developed in lightweight Node.JS from scratch , and can run on every device out there, including embedded nodes.

Who use Node.JS earlier? Crypti or Node? Smiley

BTW,Qora has 9000BTC-10000BTC cap when hit bter.

Don't know about any pre-announcements but NODE's ANN was a couple weeks before Crypti and near as I can tell (just logged into it today to have a look), NODE seems to have an actual live working wallet now.

Maybe you should see this thread:   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=654463
Crypti has testing wallet. And will launch on Aug.10.  It will trade on bter on Aug.1,today.

I have seen it and as you said, "testing" wallet. I also looked at their dev blog and it feels to me like there's still lots to do before launch which could lead to just rushing things. IMO it's also not a good sign that everyone is rushing to get to the market before it's even out, debugged and run live for awhile to get all the kinks out.
1346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The next SCAM - Developer Verification Parties on: August 01, 2014, 07:28:22 AM
I am the founder of Judge Coin.  I have voluntarily provided my personal data on the coin website!  I am not going to send my Drivers License to anyone!  If the altcoin market is going to demand that I send my drivers licence to someone I don't even know then I am out.  I don't have a personal facebook or twitter as those things can be used for stalking.  Why should I be punished with a lower trust score?  This is ridiculous.

I sort of agree with you. It's funny how everyone is clamoring to be able to do transactions anonymously, send messages anonymously etc etc etc and yet turn around demand that the developers not be allowed to be anonymous. On the other hand, you have to verify who you are on some exchanges (seems to just be for USD trading currently though) and it will expand over time.

If you buy a coin with a premine, then you will get scammed!

Simply don't agree with that one. It really depends on how big it is and what the plans are for it. It's like the community thinks all these coins should be developed for free by someone in their spare time. Things are changing. If you want a coin with real longevity, continued development, marketing etc it's going to require premines and/or IPOs to pay for all that.

Thing is, I looked at some of the recent scam coins and none of them had premines. It just doesn't matter. They can mine the shit out of it at the start or, like USBCoin, put some other code in to do a "post mine".

Will need to watch this one more closely cause I love me some node.js.

Does it occasionally take a long time for a transaction to confirm? It's been over 24 hours and a transaction of mine is sitting at only 6 peers.

Well, ouch... Log in today, click on Markets and I get this popup

Code:
failoverAPI: Call failed (failed over across all servers). Method: get_asset_names; Last error: JSON-RPC Error:
Type: Method not found

Code: -32601

Message: UNSPECIFIED

Clicking on assets other than XCP/BTC and they say "Asset doesn't exist"

Apologies, that was a regression with the 1.5.0PRE released a few minutes ago that has just been fixed (try shift-refresh and logging in again).
(In other news, it's looking like we're about to start development of an automated test suite that we'll be running before releases)

Working again, so far A-ok.

it would be good to hear some feedback on the general concept also.
As a means to spur the adoption of crypto currency and bitmark specifically, I think it's a pretty good overall plan. I was going to liken it to tipping which has shown itself to be a good way to gain adoption. But it also encompasses sharing content, voting/liking for something with a monetary value even if it's very minor which I think is a good thing. The getMarked.org idea is a good one, especially if you treat it similar to stumbleupon and of course you would develop a "share me" plugin for wordpress to expand on that. Integration with twitter would be good so that it could auto tweet to them that they just "bitmarked" something.

ummm.  There was something about "bitmark" that was nagging at me and I just realized what it was.  Bitly uses that phrase and so that could turn out to be a serious problem for you.  You create your bitmarks and they also have a bitmarklet for use in your browser.
1355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Read a document. on: July 30, 2014, 11:21:38 PM
Well, I'm not sure what to say as It really needs some work. Sentence structure, grammar, all of it just makes it hard to grasp the underlying concepts. It reads almost more as a brain dump than a clear concise document trying to explain the system. I also really don't like the use of "adoption". That is what a community, business etc may do, i.e. adopt the use of "marking", but I don't think it should then be used to label that group. I'm not even sure they need a label at all. There also needs to be a very clear and concise introduction that covers exactly what the entire document is going to outline. The way it is right now, it just jumps into things and feels like it meanders along. I may have a bit more feedback when I have a bit more coffee.

Edit: As a side note, not all that keen on the term "Marking" either. People being marked for something in history has typically had a negative connotation. Now, it could be made "cool" I suppose with some sort of catch phrase. But something different that might appeal to a younger demographic would be better. Even "getting Bitmarked" would be better than just "getting marked".

After looking at the source, I suspect this coin may be from these guys https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=656663.0 (Bountycoin). Notice the similarities? There's a couple other things like both coins having russian translations and it almost appears as if it was the same code. Not 100% sure about that though.

So has anyone actually fired up the wallet and looked at it? The help/about dialog maybe.

They say it's based on darkcoin. But I looked at some darkcoin code yesterday and this doesn't look similar. Not to mention some of the wallet stuff is filled with references to BottleCaps. And then there's this line "2009-2012 The Bitcoin developers, 2012-2013 The Ekita & PPCoin developers"

Anyone else getting this error when you try and look at asset trading. Been getting it for a couple hours now

"failoverAPI: Call failed (failed over across all servers). Method: get_market_details; Last error: undefined"

Update: Can look at a few markets but whenever I try and look at LTBCOIN/BTC (where I have a sell order), I get this error.

thanks for report. Just push a fix on github.

Does it still need to go live? Still getting the error.

Bump for this. Just tested again and still getting the same error. Seems to only be for the market where I have a sell order outstanding.

This coin looks pretty interesting. Sad thing is that I can't get the wallet to run. Dies every time it gets to the point of trying to load the block index. Tried a bunch of things, but no go. It's been white listed in the firewall. Not sure if this from the debug log means anything.

Error: Couldn't open socket for incoming connections (socket returned error 10047)
Bound to 0.0.0.0:27555

And yep, this is the only QT wallet I've had any problem with.
