i am using a 500 watt pc power suply and using only the ltc chips the btc chips are off

Maybe it's because it's summer, so try additional cooling.
There are no "LTC Chips" or "BTC Chips", all 5 chips can hash both.

How come the OP of this thread is not banned? Even if what he said is true, at the end of the day it's his responsibility to have the funds safe and secure.

Banning the OP does not help in any way, in fact, it might worsen it, should he decide to reopen the site and cough up.
1343  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: June 26, 2014, 03:53:43 PM
I can't believe people pay for 5 years worth of mining.
Most companies in bitcoin world barely can stay active for more than 5 minutes.

They don't. There's no mining here. Just mixed coins.

Although that might be true, I trust PBMining, and I believe that they are legit.
Even cex.io has been around for some time.
1344  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Running 2 bfgminers on same PC? on: June 26, 2014, 03:52:23 PM
Ok, I think I know what might be the problem. Right when I open bfgminer I get following message:

Do not have user privileges required to open \\.\COM3

And then it goes on and start mining. One miner seems to perform normaly when the other one has abou 95 to 100 % HW.

Try running your miner as an administrator. Or install the COM drivers and configure them properly.

On the subject of d=xxx

If one has, say, two rigs of 4 x GS Blades mining on same BTC address; is the d=xxx based upon the total hash rate at the single address or the 'per blade' or even 'per module' hash rate?

I'm guessing its the total but just want to ensure best outcome...

As far as I understand, it should be per mining software. ex. if you have all the blades running on the same cgminer, then the vardiff is based on the total hashrate, but if they are on seperate controllers, then on every controller.
If you set the d=xxx, you should have to set it for every controller.
1346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: June 25, 2014, 10:34:59 PM
No excuse for stuck coins. If blocks are being solved for a coin by any pool then they mature.  Pay up.  If you cant do a manual payouts yourself, just stay away from that pool.

I mined at clever but the hashrate I get there after days and days is 5-10% lower than at say coinotron or f2pool and f2pool is like 8000+ miles away.
I test pools with some of my miners for a week or 2, compare payouts and go from there.

1.3Mhs x 5= 5.4 at clever but 6.5-7 or more at another pool when the reject/stale rate is included. I lost a tiny bit of profit during the testing.

vardiff locked at 512 may be the cause but I dont have time to wait for someone to fix their pool.  I leave and check back in a few weeks. ROI is all that is important.

Also, dont be a dick because he may take offense and your $1 will never arrive.

The pool now supports manual difficulty.

NEW! Setup your own difficulty
Our new stratum server has VARDIFF enabled and it should work great for most users. But if you have a miner with dozens of chips working as a single connection you might want to setup your own difficulty. You can do this by using password d=XXXX where XXXX is number between 128 and 65536 (only powers of 2 are accepted, so 128, 256, 512, etc, e.g. d=512). This will set a fixed difficulty and disable vardiff. It works per connection so you can choose separate difficulty for each of your miners.

http://clevermining.com/faq

Some temporary changes to the pool
Temporarily vardiff is disabled and there's a fixed difficulty 512. Fee is at a fixed 2%. The FAQ isn't updated yet to reflect this.

Then why is that up on the site still?

Because there are much more important things to do than updating the stupid faq, such as tweaking the profit engine, fix stuck balances and prepare the x11 multipool?
1347  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: June 25, 2014, 08:32:56 PM
I would like to hear more opinions about this change.  If there is enough users against it we will try to find other ways.  I'm just trying to heighten the security of our site, and by no means trying to leave a bad taste with anybody.

I assume before you allow an email address change, you send an email to the current email address to verify the change and also an email to the new email address to verify the address.

You other thing, you have perfectly easy way to verify the account owner is making a change. Ask them to sign a message that contains a random token you generate for them with their BTC private key of the address they have on file. If they can do that, it's 99 % sure they have they are the owner of the PB minning address/acct.

so, with the above in place in order for someone to change my PMMinning email address they would have to ....

1. Hack my email account.
2. Hack my BTC wallet.

you could even make it more secure by using 2FA. This adds:

3. Have stolen my cell phone.

But, I agree, not allowing an email address change is a bit draconian.

That's a great idea. Adding 2FA would be a simple and effective security method.
1348  Economy / Lending / Re: want 70$ btc on: June 25, 2014, 07:38:17 PM
You can simply exchange Skrill for BTC, find a trader in the Currency Exchange section.
1349  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: June 25, 2014, 07:37:21 PM
As of June 25th we are no longer allowing users to change their e-mail addresses under their PB Mining profile.  The e-mail address you register with is now intended to be a permanent link to your account.

We apologize if this is an inconvenience to users who try to sell their accounts, and we have done our best to cater to everyone's wishes.  However it has caused more frustration than it's worth for everybody.

This is also a reminder to make sure your PB Mining password is different than your e-mail password. For someone to change the payout address under your account, they would need access to both your PB Mining account AND your e-mail address.  For this reason, the passwords should be completely different.  You can change your password under "Your Profile".

Why is this new policy being implemented?
1350  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Running 2 bfgminers on same PC? on: June 25, 2014, 04:15:21 PM
Ok now it is working, but not properly I think...

One has 100% error rate the other one has 65%, any ideas?

Error rate as in Hardware Errors or Rejects? What pool are you mining on?

I am in UK - for some reason I pasted the US stratum server in my conf file instead of the EU stratum server!

So I know have some blades pointed at US and GS Mini pointed at EU stratums all under the same BTC address!

Does this actually matter?  Huh

No, as long as the worker addresses are the same, there's no problem.
I suggest you change all back to EU, since it's better.

TY for that - are you saying that the EU server is just better all round or better as I am in the UK?

Interestingly, I have been trying out MagicPool which is getting quite a lot of hashrate - comparing MP and CM, MP is 0.001020562 BTC/MHS/Day down on period 12th - 22nd June. Considering that Magic Pool is a 'switchpool switching pool' I would have thought there should be an advantage with them...

I think I read somewhere that the profitability check frequency is 6 hours - that's only 4 times a day so perhaps not granular enough?

EU server is nearer to you so its better, since the time it takes to send a completed share takes less time, there is a less chance that your share will get rejected or beckme stale.

ok i got it ..

pls mod or admin close this topic Smiley

thanks anyone for this funny topic

Not funny at all, you're quite annoying tbh. Also, its based on trust and activity, and not spam.
If you even bothered to read the stickies, you'd understand that no collateral = no loan. Now you have a big red negative trust.
You can lock the topic yourself.

I think there was some rumor that Stunna was switching to weekly payouts.  Is that something we should keep whispering about or is that bunk?

No, he's not, so stop whispering, it's still monthly, and as of now, the maximum posts are 400, but most of us want that limit to be raised.
1354  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Running 2 bfgminers on same PC? on: June 24, 2014, 09:30:37 PM
Have you tried starting BFGMiner with the option "--scan-serial erupter:all" yet?

Yes, try that, and make sure you have the correct drivers installed.
1355  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which code should I use for Bitcoin payment ? on: June 24, 2014, 09:21:46 PM
Probably it depends on user wallet software how it will react to each link, probably very diffirent reaction.
If everybody would use one standard would be great

AFAIK this approach is standard for Bitcoin-QT, but does not work for others. So, along with this, I'll also have the address and amount in simple text + the QR code of the address. I think, nothing else is required.

I think MultiBit and Bitcoin-QT supports it, and that's it. Electrum definitely doesn't. And yeah, a nice design with the address with the QR code like CoinBase or Bitpay would be fine.
1356  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: June 24, 2014, 09:19:30 PM
Looks like deal being changed Maximum of 100 posts per week will be counted 400 max as was use to be earn upto  2.4BTC per month depending on posts and a cut off of 3,000 post.

That is a 86% reduction in posts to be counted towards being paid for. Am guessing this signature campaign as got very big too quick or theirs been too many spammers around attacking the living day lights out of it.
This use to be the highest paying signature campaign however am now declining to think this will be a lot lower than others due to than max 100 posts cut off per week.

An idea for membership group and post cut off.

Hero Member - 0.0012BTC Per constructive post Max post count 3,000 per month cut off
Senior Member - 0.001BTC Per constructive post Max post count 2,500 per month cut off
Full Member - 0.0006BTC Per constructive post Max post count 2,000 per month cut off
Member - 0.0004BTC per constructive post Max post count 1,500 per month cut off
Jr Member - 0.0002 per constructive post Max post count 500 per month cut off must work a month behind subject to quality of posts.

This is a terrific idea!

I would be more than happy to be able to make up to 1000 posts and get paid for them. I have lots of free time. Smiley .

Great Idea ! But I think that 1000 post for Member is more right.

I think this calculation method would be much better for us, for Stunna, and for the community. It's an equal balance for all.

Post it with signature of your forum name written next to it atleast.

That doesn't help at all, no one will travel, hire a lawyer and sue you if you default on $25. Just go away, you won't get this loan.
Also, posting your personal information online isn't a good idea.

What you are describing isn't escrow at all, it sounds to me that you are trying to change WebMoney to BTC.
