2161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally! One of the top porn stars accepts and promotes Bitcoin. on: May 17, 2014, 10:10:32 PM
Sorry Phinn, don't get me wrong, I usually take good notice on the posts/advice you give in these forums but....
why is this important for Bitcoin?Huh?

Because a lot of people watch porn, and paying with bitcoin is anonymous, so that your parents don't know you are paying with your credit card, instead, you can use Bitcoin.
2162  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNING: Black Arrow Scam on: May 17, 2014, 10:07:59 PM
Black Arrow is a scam company that's currently defrauding it's customers for millions of dollars and thousands of BTC.
Proof?

Just look at their website, they're selling batch 2 X-3 units with a stated shipping date of 15 May 2014. It's currently the 17th and not a single batch 1 order has shipped.

They sold pre-orders for 24 Feb 2014 dispatch until 29 Jan 2014. It takes 2+ months after tape-out to have the ASICs forged and packaged. Undeniable proof that they lied to get customers money.

This is fraud over $5000, an indictable offence.

First, it does not say it ships on 15 May 2014. It says it ships around 15 May 2014, which isn't an exact date.
Second, there are delays for all companies. Would you call all of them scam? No. Only Butterfly Labs and Hashfast, since they don't even have the equipment in production.
2163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Multiple BTC wallets for security? on: May 17, 2014, 09:55:59 PM
Everyone that doesn't use a mixing service is exposing their total balance to the recipient whenever they send BTC?

Technically yes. Change addresses can be traced, and someone can determine which addresses belong to who in that way.

Black Arrow is a scam company that's currently defrauding it's customers for millions of dollars and thousands of BTC.

Are you basing this statement purely because they are delaying shipping?
That's very stupid, a lot of companies had to delay for genuine reasons, and they are legit.
2165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Multiple BTC wallets for security? on: May 17, 2014, 09:51:00 PM
Is there a way to send BTC to people without making it easy for them to see my BTC balance, and also limit the number of private keys I need to back up?

Well, yes. You can do this:
1. Create 2 addresses, "1abc" and "1def".
2. Have the funds in 1abc. (lets say 1 BTC)
3. Send your coins to a mixing service, with forwarding addresses 1def and your recipient's address.
4. Next time you want to send a transaction, do the same but send to 1abc.

This isn't as good as using new addresses every time, but the coins are still untraceable, and no one will know that 1abc and 1def are both yours. You will only need to backup 2 private keys.

I read something about Electrum that I didn't like.  Something about it being centralized in some way?

What do you mean it is "centralized"? It does rely on specific servers, since it does not download the entire blockchain.

Yep, that's what I mean.  From what I understand, multibit also does not download the entire blockchain and is able to function without relying on centralized servers.

Is it possible to have the best of both worlds?  Meaning security/privacy through changing addresses, backing up only one private key or seed, and not relying on somebody's servers?

That already exists... Bitcoin Core.... Multibit... They already have those features.
If you consider nodes as servers, then no, that is impossible.

I use multibit so that's great news.  I just click the "New" button under the Request tab and I'm sending from a brand new address that is not easy to associate with my whole stash and I only have to back up the one private key?  It sounds too good to be true.

Nodes are OK.  Have to connect to the network somehow.

Oh. You meant a single private key for more than one address.
Well, that's impossible. I suppose someone could implement a seed function for Bitcoin Core, but I dunno if we desperately need that.
2167  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] X11 Hashing Power on: May 17, 2014, 09:18:48 PM
Have you ever tried Leaserig.net? You can rent all sorts of hashpower there. They have a nice GUI too, with feedback and ratings.
2168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Quick Bounty - Riser Configuration on: May 17, 2014, 08:25:24 PM
USB Risers are more expensive, but better nonetheless. My next rig will be built entirely out of them.

IOS Update - Unfortunately Apple decided that the app didn't provide enough features. So I'll focus on Android for now, and get 4-5 more features and then resubmit. I'm also looking into Cydia and trying to get that up, hopefully, within the next week or so.

What a crappy excuse, what features do they want? Ability to use your iPhone to hash for PBMining?
They just don't want bitcoin-related apps on the App Store.

They don't allow bitcoin wallets. But there are many bit coin apps on iOS.

I say that the developers of the remaining apps paid them a big lump of money to get their apps on there.

Come and trade today! No ID verification is needed!
That doesn't sound sustainable...

What isn't sustainable? I don't understand your question.
No ID verification needed, thats a great way to get your bank accounts closed.

I think you didn't understand me there. There is no ID verification for trading in cryptocurrencies, but there is for fiat currencies. We request this information to comply with KYC/AML laws. Even though we are based in Hong Kong, other governments may ask us for such information.
That makes more sense.

Who do you bank with in Australia? A bank or a payment service?

We work with a bank, but I am not sure if I can tell you which one it is. I'll ask and get back to you.
The wire transfer details would give that away, I'm just not verified.

I understand. I'll get back to you soon, because that information might actually be confidential, I don't know.
Meanwhile, you could try out our altcoin exchange, ANXPRO, which requires no verification at all. We also have an Android and iOS app.

You can call me , skype with me , visit my personal , no problem at all

I know the people not trust me

But their have trust in.. KNC, cointerra and other companies that promise the stars from heaven ..and pay a lot of money for a preorder..

If a person have interest they can also pickup items in switzerland

Can you show us some photographic evidence to prove that the product exists, along with some hashpower proof?
It would be awesome if you shipped one to a trusted forum member, so they can verify its existence.

Has someone already received the last monthly payment?

And here we go again.
In next few days there will be 5 pages people asking about payments...

I think this is natural and fine. To answer the question: I don't think anyone has as it's still very early Last month I was paid 3 days after I think.
Yep it's on the higher scale of 48h i'd say 48-72h

I was like the only exception, since Stunna missed my PM and paid me like a week later.
2175  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin trading sites are reliable and stable? on: May 17, 2014, 07:41:27 PM
I recommend ANXPRO. It's a reliable Bitcoin exchange based in hong kong, with 0% trading fee.
Anybody with a 0% trading fee is somehow screwing you.

That is incorrect, we have deposit fees for some payment gateways, and a small withdrawal fee. So we do make profit, just not as much as others do, since our priority is our customers.

I signed up and added the sig line on May 4th (post 5364?) but I was a little unclear about the posts vs activity as the post above mine confused me. Anyways, my activity back then was at 126 and now it was at 180, and apparently my posts are the same (still unsure about the two). Either way, I've cleared the minimum requirement and since I don't troll I imagine all of my postings where constructive on some level. What would one do in this situation?

If you posted, the posts go up. You probably read incorrectly.
Also, you did not post your starting posts and bitcoin address, so you are not eligible for payment.
