I've migrated completely off my computer to my smart phone and cold storage. Mycelium works great for storing coin and also spending from paper wallets.
Is mycelium new or something didn't heard of it, basically i want to buy Bitcoin send to my wallet and send o an exchange, but first want to send it to my wallet so need something simple like the original, do you know how much space the bitcoin-qt takes? Bitcoin QT takes up a ton of space, which is 17 GB right now. I suggest >Electrum.

Hello I'm new in this bitcoin thing. I'm deepweb user as you know deepweb users using btc, when i search for btc i saw btc has great potential, then i read some documents, there was pool mining for personal computers. I have GTX 650 ti boost, as i read mining pool is best way for earning btc. I have some questions. 1 : How much bitcoin i can earn with this poor gpu ? I can work in pool 8 hour in a day. 2 : Using another operating system can boost performance ? like linux. is this gpu enough for begining level ? I'm open for help Thanks.. -Forgive me for grammar fails- 1. Nothing, 8 hours means nothing, 24 hours means nothing either. 2. No, that won't help. To mine bitcoin, you need to buy specialized mining hardware, called ASICs. Please watch this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=GmOzih6I1zs

Later on it went to 657, then 1292. Everything works fine.
I can imagine than your miner can get extremely lucky and solve a lot of shares within a short timeframe and get high difficulty in result. You don't need to worry about it, because it will take you longer to submit this share, but it will be proportionally more worth. And you diff will go back down after couple of minutes when the pool detects you send shares infrequently.
Terk, I know this might be annoying, but do you have any plans for a x11 multipool? Byt411, I completely agree!! I am probably one of the few left that only has GPU's for Scrypt mining. Terk, could corner the market with an X11 multipool of this caliber. I love clever and have been here since the beginning, just missed the BETA. I'm currently splitting my hashrate between here and the only X11 multipool that I know of, but they are lagging when it comes to new coins. I'm splitting my hashrate between CM and leasing my rig out, since leasing out is more profitable, but I would say that there would be a lot of interest for a x11 multipool as good as CM.

Install electrum on the USB, and send you funds there. It still isn't a 100% secure offline wallet, but it's good enough.

So, I have an exclusive coupon on zoomhash, for a G-Blade. This coupon comes from a promotion between PoolWarz and ZoomHash.

Hey guys, I've been wondering what USB hub I should use for Antminer U1 and Antminer U2. I'm currently using Sabrent 10 usb port hub and I don't believe it's working well because not all the usbs are recognized meaning they're faulty and I don't get the full ghs out of each miner or my hub sucks.
That is probably because the hub does not provide enough power for 10 Antminer U1/U2s.

So I guess .1 is small?
I guess anything 1 btc below is slow as hell. Cause I waited for my .1 bet and came in so late.
No it's not. 1 confirmation for .1 BTC should be enough. You were just unlucky, the miners didn't find blocks for a whole hour.

I never really understood, because sometimes my transaction are within seconds or mins at most. But the other day, my transaction was literally past the 1hr mark.. like wtf? So seeing this explained a bit, kinda makes sens but I still dont get it lol. Basically, it's because things are never perfect and exact. 1 Confirmation is enough for payments of small quantities.

I am mining with two gridseed G-Blade. It starts really good, but after half an hour the pool difficulty rises to 2335!! and i don't get a single share anymore. What can I do?
It might be because your rig was extremely lucky and got too many shares within a short time frame. Even if difficulty changed to 2335 it should change back down within couple of minutes. Can you tell me your username? I'll monitor it and see how it's working. But it seems not to be corresponding with the gigh difficulty. I had Diff above 4000 a few minutes ago and i even got accepted share. It seems like after approximately half an hour no share is accepted anymore I was at 19000 just a minute ago, it's screwing with my auto-restart cause my miner thinks that blades are going down when in actuality it's just taking a long time to solve a share. What happened to fixed diff at 512? Yes, i would also like to have fixed diff at 512! I thinl this is really a nice Pool. I like it more than other Multicoin Pools. For now its running smooth for nearly an hour or so, but its not good if you don't know if it stops workinng in a moment when you're not looking at it for a couple of hours... Hm. So before, people complained about not having vardiff, and then that there is fixed difficulty. Now, one 512 share = 512, one 1 share = 1, one 1024 share = 1024. So 512 difficulty one shares equal 512. If you still don't understand, it means that there is no difference. If the difficulty is getting so high over time that a miner can't solve a share before it's stale, that's a problem. No it's not, because stales are also paid for.

where can I find an overview of how many posts are needed for the different member ranks at bitcointalk (Newbie, Member, Full Member, Senior Member...) ? Thank you ! All the main ranks that can be handed out to normal users are: Brand New, Newbie, Jr. Member, Member, Full Member, Sr. Member, and Hero Member. In addition to the main rankings, there are also sub-rankings that can be applied, and those are: SCAMMER, Donator, and VIP. Finally, staff sub-rankings are as follows: Staff, Moderator, Global Moderator, Administrator, and Founder. Rank | Description | Tag | Brand New: | 0 posts, gets 1 gold coin under his name. | | Newbie: | (none), gets 1 gold coin under his name. | | Jr. Member: | activity: 30, gets 1 gold coin under his name. | | Member: | Activity: 60, gets 2 gold coins under his name. | | Full Member: | Activity: 120, gets 3 gold coins under his name. | | Sr. Member: | Activity: 240, gets 4 gold coins under his name. | | Hero Member: | Activity: 480, gets 5 gold coins under his name.
| | Sub-Rank | Description | Tag | SCAMMER: | Manually applied by administration, regardless of post count and gets 5 red Xs under his name. | | Donator: | Manually applied by administration after 10 BTC donation, and gets 5 gold coins under his name of which the last is half green. 5 coins are shown regardless of post count when user is a Donator. | | VIP: | Manually applied by administration after 50 BTC donation, and gets 5 gold coins under his name of which the last is half purple. 5 coins are shown regardless of post count when user is a VIP.
| | | | Staff Rank | Description | Tag | Staff: | Shown when moderators (see next point) post outside of the sections that they moderate. Always shows 5 gold coins. | | Moderator: | Shown when moderators of specific sections post within those sections. Gets 5 gold coins, of which the last is shown as half faded-out green. | | Global Moderator: | Applied to Staff that have moderation privileges in all boards. Gets 5 gold coins, of which the last is half teal colored. | | Administrator: | Has all available permissions and can appoint moderators and perform other administrative tasks. Gets 5 gold coins, of which the last is shown half red regardless of post count. | | Founder: | Reserved for Satoshi, gets 5 platinum coins under his name. | | The way activity is calculated:The activity number is determined in this way: time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration activity = min(time * 14, posts)
Activity is updated every 30 minutes.
To become a Donator or a VIP, send a PM to theymos to get a unique donation address.Took the liberty to update it according to the new Activity & new member limits/groups.Edited with proper number of coins.I added a system of badges to SMF a while ago, though only two are defined now. Here are the current badges: Bitcoin expert | Dev&Tech only. People with this badge know enough about the Bitcoin network to reimplement something very like it from scratch. They are capable of intelligently discussing the Bitcoin network: current protocol, possible attacks, proposed changes, etc. Criteria: Recommendation by an existing Bitcoin expert or core dev and approval by a forum administrator. | Bitcoin-Qt core developer | Dev&Tech only. These are the core developers of Satoshi's Bitcoin client. They are listed here. Core developers are among the top contributors to Bitcoin-Qt, and they are all bitcoin experts, though they don't also get that badge. |
A core dev does not "outrank" a bitcoin expert (or vice-versa), and it's possible for someone without a badge to contribute meaningfully to a discussion with experts and core devs.

The general confirmation time is 10minutes(if you have paid the transaction fee), nowadays sometimes the mining of the blocks slow down due to the increase in the difficulty level, so sometimes your tx may take up to 1hour to confirm. To make the confirmations fast you can add a higher tx fee like some 0.001BTC.
The increase in difficulty does not really result in slower blocks, difficulty is adjusted according to hashrate. Highly impossible that there will be a sudden significant slow In block generation due to lower sudden hash rates as ASICs are shipped at a fast rate. Transaction fee of 0.0001 is already enough. After getting one confirmation, any other block generated will result in another confirmation. I meant that as the difficulty increases, people start getting less pay for more work and thus many people have been leaving the mining of the bitcoin that leads to the decrease in the hashrate. Indeed, difficulty has been increasing for more than a year, and the difficulty adjustment is lagging behind (average block time is a bit lower than 10 min even after difficulty adjustment). Exactly. Also, if it isn't a big amount, 1 Confirmation is enough.

every accusation made against my legitamacy i ahve debunked. this is fun though.
When you buy bitcoins, you are trading.... how stupid are you lol
We may be stupid, but YOU are the one asking for a measly $30... Also, so you mean you've had over $20K USD worth of transactions in BTC? I could do that too.. Just send BTC back and forth Just provide a collateral, and all of this will stop Exactly, and I can read. You so-called proof means nothing to us, and you are just contradicting yourself. Either lock this thread or provide collateral. Lol this was entertaining. I'm glad you guys are on top of things here though. My check cleared sooner than expected. BTW- how did u figure out how many btc's I had. 97.4 I'm dont remember that figure at any point. I think i would remember for an amount that large. Maybe because I checked your old wallets and saw that it had that much in it?

Dear Brothers,
I have been contacted by Black Arrow since my post on 18 May 2014. They induced me to sign an undertaking to not to defame them, and promised me to refund immediately. I signed, but then they refused to refund again.
I am bringing this to the solicitor and HK Police.
Good luck to us all.
P.S. note that the Hong Kong address Black Arrow used on their invoice may be fake. It is used by MANY MANY others on the internet, just search it on google and you will find many results.
This looks like an obvious scam now. Hm. If they're in mainland it won't be that easy, but if they are in hk you can definitely sue them.

Nice thing about the alts is I can usually get about 5-10% above the market rate if I'm just a little bit patient (like 1-2 days on average) listing them at a smaller exchange. That's one reason I don't mind when I see I've been given DOGE again. Yeah, there's risk (like with the current drop in DOGE, due to people presumably using their DOGE stashes to buy DARK), but the upside is nice too.
I can see why people would like an auto-trade option though, if they don't want to mess with exchanges themselves.
True. If we add more coins, we need to be able to choose which to keep and which to exchange.

when you want to rescind or pay for your order. or just complete the first time. i dont know why that page is there, it doesnt seem to serve much use.
It helps prevents database attacks by limiting the amount of pending orders a customer can have at once. We then needed some way for the customer to clear the list when it gets full. Finalizing allows you to place more orders once you have already paid for some. You don't need to finalize an order to complete it. We basically do that for you when we process it. A few days back, some people spammed the system and messed it up, so now there are restrictions in place.

Never mind doge, when are we going to be able to accept DARK?? (Asking half-seriously ;-)
Asked for that a while back - would also like BC to be accepted I agree with both of you. Vertcoin would be nice too.

Portugal here.
As far as I know this rumor is false, nothing like that from Bank of Portugal, plus bitcoin is quite unknown in Portugal.
Spain here. As far as the spanish banks are concerned, they are too busy figuring out ways to absorb all our money (such as charging a negative interest), so no announcements either. So true. I think portugal is better off than us right now? Or is that incorrect?
