Project valuations have gone crazy.  I'm officially (day)dreaming bigger than ever before for Komodo!   Kiss

Mkt. Cap @ $1 is starting to look like a complete joke with all this craziness.

I expect more than 1$ in future.Rich or die Grin

WAY more. I see all this crap that has nothing more than marketing behind it hovering around 100 USD today and raising, I KNOW KMD will be way more that one dollar! No doubt there, they are just getting started.

Maybe I don't understand something so you guys could explain it to me. Why should this coin rise? As far as I know it has no development work at the moment and it just seems dead.

Better yet, why should this coin even exist?

1344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚒ Syscoin - 2.1.3 w/Segwit Released! Decentralized Business Blockchain Platform! on: May 07, 2017, 04:48:25 PM
why there is no movement in Sys? why it is stucked at same level from last 5 days?

This happens to all coins, nothing to worry about.
1345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BitBay Thread |Smart Contracts Wallet UPDATE|Decentralized Marketplace on: May 07, 2017, 04:39:51 PM
Pretty sure I invested in BAY at the ICO. I logged into BTER and nothing there. What happened to BAY and is there a way to get my coins?

Read this quote from David explaining the situation to someone else:

"Unfortunately BTER owner is a thief. In addition to the problems we had with them, they also stole millions of btc in a "hack" later, dumped their bay and delisted it. If you want it back you will have to talk to the owner Lin or try filing a ticket or complaint with them. To be honest, i'm shocked the exchange still exists after everything they have done."

Lin from BTER screwed us all back then, no doubt about that but, through his tireless efforts and hard work, David has brought BAY back and is taking it into the future with one the most comprehensive feature sets in crypto. I doubt very much you will get anything from Lin, the thief who owns BTER but, you could buy BAY now and reap the rewards in the near future as this project is taking off...

Perhaps segwit adoption will bring more interest here Wink

Sure it would but, who's going to do it? Is there even a dev around anymore?

Ha I could help you but only if you promise not to post in here again lol Smiley

But on a serious note then I doubt you will get your account back only hero and legends usually get their accounts back because they are valuable. Even then it can take months.

I was at Hero level when I was hacked, never got it back. Guess we just have live with that...

1349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥[GUNBOT] Automatic Poloniex Profit Generator🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 on: May 06, 2017, 12:32:30 PM
Gunthar,  Forgive me i am kinda new to  trading alt currencies outside BTC, since bitcoin has been going up quickly and steady and you said that when BTc goes up other Krypto Currencies go down and with BTC gaining so much momentum is trading alt currencies using the bot still profitable and why and if this BTC rush keeps going will it make the bot  useless?
Thank you sir.

Basically the same question but, allow me to rephrase it. If the markets continue to raise, will there be enough volatility for the bot to remain profitable in it's current form?  Also, are there licenses left as I am quite interested. Thx
1350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NobleCoin[NOBL] - 8% PoS | 1Yr+ | MARKETPLACE | PAY | GIFT | CHARITIES/MERCHANTS on: May 05, 2017, 06:03:10 PM
Question : can you stake with a Cryptopia (or any ither exchange) account or you do have to stake it from a separated wallet ? can someone explain me how does stake work actually ?

thanks.

Exchanges don't stake coins, or so they say.  Grin

Simple explanation on staking: Using your local wallet. POS (Proof of Stake) lets your wallet do what miners do for the network on POW (Proof of Work) coins by verifying transactions inside your wallet. This keeps the network healthy and running smoothly. And, you get recurring small payments for the work your wallet is doing which increases your holdings just like POW "pools" would pay you periodically for doing the same remotely with others. The amount you get paid is proportional to how many coins you have, how long you have had them and your processing power which determines how much work your wallet does. There's more to it than that in reality but, that's the quick and dirty.

For a more "in depth" technical explanation, go here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proof-of-stake

is it still open for signature campaign sir ?

Yes, signature campaign is sill open. Check first page of this topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1781624.0
Edit: do not forget avatar campaign  Wink

This project is running smoothly and softly that is the reason why i wanted to join, and i also regret for knowing this too late.

Why are you too late? The ICO is open till the end of the month right?

1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLOAK] Private, Secure, Untraceable & Decentralized Digitalcurrency on: May 05, 2017, 05:08:25 PM
going open source is not going to turn this around..this is not the reason for the lack of interest.

other projects are closed and doing well.

This is being held down by someone.

Focus more on develpment funding and governance mechanisms and marketing.

I agree, in principle, with cryptohunter. I think the "open source" thing has gotten out of hand. The original discussion for "open source" was to get CLOAK on Poloniex. I'm sure there is a way to give it to them if that is indeed what is needed to be listed there, and not give it to the rest of the world at the same time. I would request the developers talk to Polo see if they can get a straight answer from them but, Polo will NOT make or break CLOAK, we still need PR and public awareness as well as places to use it. Polo is only one of many exchanges, remember that.

to Devs,
During the swap period, devs made statement that swapped BTCD will remain in 1 address and won't do anything which means burnt.
If swapped(burnt) BTCD is re-used by any means, Isn't it double profiting? (illegal?)
It could be violating the terms which made the BTCD/Komodo swap possible.
(creating millions worth of new coin generates enormous tax problems which Komodo devs solved by
swapping BTCD and ICO)
and to hear that swapped BTCD could be re-used again makes me worry because
it jeopardizes both Komodo holders and remaining BTCD holders.

any comment on this concern devs?

Yes, and that statement holds. All BTCD will be kept in that one public address for the duration of the swap.

https://www.blockexperts.com/btcd/address/RXL3YXG2ceaB6C5hfJcN4fvmLH2C34knhA

I have noticed there haven't been any incoming transfers to this address since April the 4th.

What happened to the 50k+ BTCD from the last batch?

Is James gonna gamble with them on Polo?

We don't sell or move the swapped BTCD. It just takes time for them to go to that address. I believe there's some min amount that has to be swapped before it bundles them all into a single transaction and sends to that final address.

Does the Agama app require connections outside the United States to operate correctly?

As far as I know no. Whether you are US resident or no you can enjoy the same GUI functionality as others. However, the recently discovered bug could be due to connectivity issues, namely a fair amount of connections from non-US IPS could trigger some kind of inconsistency in the code and result in what was referred to as bug but there's still the possibility it was a deliberate mistake.

Yeah, Agama Wallet is a permissionless app. You don't have to ask anyone's persmission to use it, just like you don't have to ask anyones permission to send/receive bitcoins. Just do it! Smiley

I understand that but, we have a firewall at work that blocks all connections (in or out) outside the US for security reasons. Will it operate properly with ONLY US connections?

1355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: May 05, 2017, 11:46:45 AM
Litecoin Accounts For 22% of Total Daily Cryptocurrency Trading Volume - SegWit Effect?
Bitcoin Core’s transaction malleability fix and scaling solution Segregated Witness (SegWit) was activated on Litecoin last week. Since then, Litecoin price massively increased at an exponential rate, due to rising interest from investors and traders.
On May 4, Litecoin briefly accounted for 22 percent of total daily cryptocurrency trading volume, hugely distancing itself from Ethereum. At the time or reporting, Litecoin still remains as the second most traded cryptocurrency in the market, at 15.31 percent of the global cryptocurrency exchange volume.More

Hypothetical question: Now that Litecoin is being recognized as more than just another ALT, where do you all see this going? Does LTC have a chance to rival BTC in the future or will it always be "close but no cigar"?

Absolutely! We've come this far, no reason to change direction now.

At what price do Notary Nodes (not miners) enter the green territory?   Kiss
I heard that at 0.00025 but I'm not sure
I also remember 25 being mentioned, but I don't recall if it was $0.25 or 0.00025...   I got a classic gif waiting!!!   Grin

I remember it being 0.3 btc per submission but that didnt last for long. It led to a commanding operator opening the gate for inflation. Next time he will be more careful when choosing the key person for handling group operations. I was there and know how it went. Someone got in conspiracy with established reddit members and reduced the price tag.

Say what?!?!?   Huh        ROFLMAO!   Grin

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

1360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on BiTTREX 🔹 on: May 04, 2017, 12:49:45 PM
I have 189 k Arks right now. I bought 160 k Arks when they were worth 5000 to 6000 satoshis. I bought the rest a little under 13 000 satoshis. I'm holding right now and I intend to hold for a very long time, at least until I see how the technologies Ark will have turn out.

I am really surprised to see how ARK is holding above the 10k sat mark considering BTC rising over 1400$ and is at its all time high, this shows how much potential ARK has and will rise easily to 50k sat in the coming months. Its a good buy for now even below 20k satoshi

It also shows how much new money is entering the markets. People are discovering crypto and alts, China is turning to alts, lots of new markets opening up. It's a good time for investors.
