13401  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Logged in to wallet but lost seed and access to 2FA on: January 10, 2018, 08:00:51 PM
Nope. You either need your 2FA to send the coins to a new wallet or the seed to get hold of the 2-of-3 private-keys necessary to spend them without any 2FA.

Without them, your coins are lost forever.
13402  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Where can I make virtual credit card? on: January 10, 2018, 07:02:05 PM
You are probably out of lucky. Almost every card loaded with Bitcoin was provided by Wavecrest. And they recently stopped providing cards for cryptocurrencies-backed card companies. So most of the cryptocurrency-backed debit cards have stopped working.

Some examples:

13403  Other / Meta / Re: How to Change User name on: January 10, 2018, 06:46:34 PM
You normally can't. Only if you have a very good reason or if you are a VIP user, then you can ask theymos and only if he accepts, he will change your username.
13404  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info login problem after email confirmation on: January 10, 2018, 05:18:10 AM
Are you sure that you are typing the right password? You may think that everything is right because you got a confirmation email. But that's not the case as you will receive an email even if you entered the wrong password.
13405  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Question about Coinbase & Gdax transferring features on: January 09, 2018, 10:58:47 PM
AFAIK that's not possible. Maybe the maximum you can do is automatically sell your BTC to USD, which it's explained in this page[1]. But not automatically receive them in your bank account.

13406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: /HELP/ Can't access my bitcoin wallet on: January 09, 2018, 10:52:08 PM
Is this what you are doing?

"File" -> "New/Restore" -> "Import Bitcoin adresses or private keys" -> Pasted the string starting with "L" -> "Next".

And do you see only "[imported]" or "[imported, watching only]" at the title of Electrum when you have the wallet open?
13407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: /HELP/ Can't access my bitcoin wallet on: January 09, 2018, 10:25:49 PM
Looks like sth went wrong. When I ran Electrum Installer dialogue I did not create a new wallet but I chose to import private keys. I was never given any seed phrase so right now my wallet is watching-only Sad
So funds are there but I cannot transfer them. Please help!
You imported the (public) address and not the private-key. When you paste and use the address, it will become a watch-only wallet. Check the bitaddress page you printed again and use the big string bellow "SHARE" (the one that doesn't start with a 1).
13408  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Searching inside threads on: January 09, 2018, 07:12:26 AM
Yes, your computer has a search function for words within a single scrolling page. The only limitation is that you can't check a whole thread, but you can check page by page.
Just click "All" right next to the page indicator to see every post in one single page.

Using the normal search box while in the post also works. E.g: try to search "control" and you will see HabBear's post.
13409  Economy / Goods / Re: Luxury Chocolates 4bars 80gr 20usd FREE shipment (worldwide) on: January 09, 2018, 04:45:01 AM
Can you take pictures with your name in a piece of paper next to some chocolates?

And do you know how long would it take to arrive in Brazil (since I guess it's coming from Venezuela)? I may buy some next week.
13410  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Heuristic Virus in Electrum 3.0.5 exe? on: January 09, 2018, 04:05:25 AM
It's probably just a false positive. I just run a virus total scan and there are some.

Just make sure to:

1. Download only from electrum.org;
2. Verify the integrity of the file[1].

13411  Other / Meta / Re: How to set proper notifications? on: January 08, 2018, 11:38:28 PM
TLDR: You can't.

You can't. The only kind of "notification" you can enable is the notification on new posts in a specific thread or forum board.

This feature will probably be available in the new forum software that should be releasing in the future. No ETA yet.

13412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claiming BCH from Electrum Multisig on: January 08, 2018, 11:30:35 PM
You do realize that its a 2-of-2 multi signature wallet and not a third party 2fa wallet right? (i own both wallets) is the procedure the same? Thanks
Then just download the same version (2.9.3), select Multi-signature wallet -> 2-of-2 -> I already have a seed -> Paste the first seed -> Enter cosigner seed -> Paste the second seed.
13413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claiming BCH from Electrum Multisig on: January 08, 2018, 10:54:56 PM
You will need to download the version 2.9.3 temporary as it kinda "supported" 2FA.

Just follow this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/6wf50x/recovering_your_bitcoin_cash_from_a_trustedcoin/
13414  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: January 08, 2018, 10:04:12 PM
Any plan to offer a BCH service ? Maybe it already exists, I haven't really looked.

ChipMixer regarding BCH:
We would rather use other altcoins than Bitcoin Cash. BCH only advantages are
1. There is less traffic therefore it is cheaper to send it.
2. It is less valuable therefore transaction fees are smaller.
3. Interface is almost the same as Bitcoin.

Disadvantages are:
1. It is a fork and we do not want to support forks.
2. Blockchain size is as big as Bitcoin blockchain.
3. Amount of transactions is much lower than Bitcoin half a year ago.

We do not plan to support Bitcoin Cash now.
13415  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does Bitpay have serious problems? on: January 08, 2018, 08:24:05 PM
Is there a decent alternative for Bitpay?
There is this Bitpay open source fork that I found at reddit: https://btcpay-server-testnet.azurewebsites.net/

"BTCPay Server is a free and open source server for merchants wanting to accept Bitcoin for their business. The API is compatible with Bitpay service to allow seamless migration."
13416  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Windows Defender prevent running Electrum 3.0.4 on: January 08, 2018, 07:49:10 PM
How to verify the signature?
Read the previous posts next time. https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@jklepatch/how-to-verify-the-integrity-of-electrum-wallet-executable-on-windows

-snip-

I searched for gpg.exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\Gpg4win dir, but there is no such file there...
Mine can be found inside the C:\Program Files (x86)\GnuPG folder.
13417  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: new trezor T vs trezor on: January 08, 2018, 07:44:23 PM
I would say that depends on what you are looking for, if you prefer a full touchscreen device or if you like the design of the old Trezor, etc...

Do you only plan on storing Bitcoin and the already supported altcoins? Or do you think you may diversify your holdings in the future?
Quote
TREZOR One (original) will not be discontinued. It will be supported alongside the TREZOT T. But:
TREZOR T has a different software stack, meaning coin integrations will be easier on the T. Some of which can be backported into the TREZOR One.
13418  Other / Meta / Re: how to add avatar ? on: January 08, 2018, 07:27:09 AM
You need to be at least Full Member to be able to use an avatar.

And before you do any more stupid questions like "how do I become Full Member" or "how do I get activity", read this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0
13419  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Unofficial] Exodus Wallet | Multi-Currency | Built-in Exchange on: January 08, 2018, 07:21:00 AM
If these keys are locally stored on your computer, how is an online-only recovery possible? How is losing the computer not a risk, or any local file to backup?
Your addresses (private-keys) are locally derived from the 12 word phrase that Exodus provides you when you backup your wallet. The email link (AFAIK) is also your word phrase but protected by both your passphrase and an Exodus 'key' (like explained in the page you linked). Your word phrase or private-keys isn't stored anywhere.

Are the keys not recovered with the e-mail link &/or 12 word phrase? (yes i'm aware you can export keys)
They are.
13420  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum new vulnerability, are all versions affected? on: January 08, 2018, 07:11:17 AM
I've updated to 3.0.4 but I can't see my history or balance at all.

I used old seed on the new wallet setup.

I can't seem to find a solution anywhere online
Are your addresses the same? Or have they changed?

Go to "View" -> "Show Addresses" and check them out.
