So, the file above didn't fixed it?

On Windows 7 and 8.1, binaries might work by default; if they don't work, the end-user should

  • try installing the KB2999226 Windows update
  • try installing Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015

13485  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Unofficial] Exodus Wallet | Multi-Currency | Built-in Exchange on: January 27, 2018, 04:33:09 PM
Is it possible to import BTC from another wallet and then claim BTG? Or can you just claim BTG if the BTC were on Exodus already?
No.

Tip: For that, you could use Bither[1]. They let you import private-keys and have a tool to claim BTG[2].

13487  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Can we identify relationship between bitcoin address .? on: January 27, 2018, 03:36:19 PM
Here my question is simple but small complicated .

Suppose I have my account for btc segwit wallet at electrum .
As 10+ adress available there to use ( in addresses bar ) without doing anything .

Can we find out with single adress that how many addresses are attached with that electrum account to which the first one is belong .
I meant connection between bech addresses
( start from bc1***** ) of same account to find is possible ( no transaction made between address)
No.

But as you do more transactions, your addresses can be linked together with blockchain analysis.
13488  Other / Meta / Re: sMerit rewards need to be multiplied by 10, or merit requirements divided by 10. on: January 27, 2018, 05:00:13 AM
I'll see how things are in a month or two and think about it. Basically, the "ideal new user" should be able to easily and without any particular "merit farming" be able to far exceed the merit requirements; for them, activity should be the limiting factor. If this is not achievable, then I absolutely will make tweaks until that goal is reached. But it's too early to say at this point.

I did consider a 1-point requirement for Member when designing the system, but I thought it might be too easy. We'll see.
I would keep it like that.

You need to do 60 posts (in a total of 5 differet periods, which is equal to 2 months) to have the activity necessary to become a Member. IMO getting 10 merits in 2 months should be fairly easy if you are not one the users making empty posts just to increase your activity (i.e, 90% of the Bitcoin Discussion board), which is sadly the majority of the users complaining about the new merit system.

I myself (and a lot of users) already got ~20 merits since the release of the merit sytem 3 days ago. And I doubt it was just because I'm already a Hero Member and people read my posts "unlike the Jr. Member posts" which are supposedly "mostly ignored".
13489  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: electrum received transaction with 0BTC instead of 0.275 on: January 26, 2018, 10:44:43 PM
is it possible to change server and/or import transaction from blockchain in electrum android?
1. Click the three dot menu at the top-right corner of the app -> Network.
2. Turn Auto-connect to OFF.
3. Click "Server" -> Choose from peers -> Select a different server.

If you still can't see your transaction history, make sure you have the wallet seed stored somewhere, clear the app data/reinstall the app and restore the wallet.

If for some magic reason you still can't make it work, download Electrum[1] for PC and create a new wallet by restoring the same seed.

13490  Other / Meta / Re: MERIT - A DEFINITION OF, RICH PEOPLE BECOME RICHER, POOR PEOPLE MAINTAIN POOR on: January 26, 2018, 10:05:05 PM
My point is the system should create something like anti-cheater app or just shut this system down because sMerit is now on trading.
We can fight merit farming/trading. Remember that everything is public.

Yes, in the short term, there will be some farming/trading. But in the long term, spammers will spend all their sMerits and only merit sources and users with good posting quality will have sMerits to spend (0.5 smerit for every merit you get). Meanwhile, new spammers won't be able to rank up anymore.

Why give sMerit too many for high level rank Member? And leave nothing for Newbee or Jr.Member??? If those new members find out a satisfied answer for their question. They can't merit because they are low level. If this merit given by devs, I have nothing to say. I am speechless.
Use this formula: the user has made a good post? Give him merit! It doesn't matter if he is theymos or a Newbie with 2 posts.

For example, I already gave merit to Jr. Members with good posts. Do you really want to prioritize merits based on the user's rank?

If this merit given by these old member, I disagree totally. What make them qualify for that authority?
I didn't understand what you said here.

Anyway, IMO this thread should go to the Trash Bin. A bunch of spammers won't change the system if the system was designed to combat them in the first place. /thread
13491  Other / Meta / Re: MERIT - A DEFINITION OF, RICH PEOPLE BECOME RICHER, POOR PEOPLE MAINTAIN POOR on: January 26, 2018, 08:54:04 PM
Then why are you keep reading?
If you aren't interested in it, welcome to leave. Don't shit post here?
Defending the one you don't even know and don't know where is my question. Then why you come to post?
For making fun???
Why do you keep attacking people instead of telling us what exactly do you want?

Can you start over again and say what is the point of this post? What do you want to discuss? Post your arguments/questions and I will happily answer/discuss them.
13492  Other / Meta / Re: MERIT - A DEFINITION OF, RICH PEOPLE BECOME RICHER, POOR PEOPLE MAINTAIN POOR on: January 26, 2018, 08:46:05 PM
-snip-
Which one exactly? Those are the only "questions" I see in the 3 posts you just quoted above:

"Lmao, are you threatening me? It seems to be."
"Is his silence because he doesn't agree or he have nothing to defend himself?"

Actually, what exactly is this post? I only see 10 pages of pure garbage and no arguments whatsoever.

Inb4: Something along the lines of "Hahaha another high rank level help each other out. You guys on the same board. i don't mind."
13493  Other / Meta / Re: Why I don't want to be a merit source. on: January 26, 2018, 05:04:05 PM
Oh dear! It looks as if that thread has been deleted.. I'm def. not a candidate to be a merit faucet. But I would like a way to say thank you to people who help me to improve my use of Bitcoin.

Now what has happened to the two merit points I gave - do I get them back, or have they gone forever?
You don't get them back. Even if the posts gets deleted afterwards. Just kook at your merit history:

Code:
Today at 07:17:57: 1 to InvestorBelarus for (Deleted/Off-limits/Ignored)
Today at 07:17:30: 1 to InvestorBelarus for (Deleted/Off-limits/Ignored)

Maybe they should be revoked if the post gets deleted by a mod?
13494  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Just Lost Wallet/$76 worth of Bitcoin on: January 26, 2018, 08:10:45 AM
Yes, I've tried Electrum. It does the same thing. Creates a wallet with no funds using the 12 words.  I created another wallet on Electrum using my lost wallet address ID and it created a "Watching Only" wallet that does show the funds.
Try to do this:

1. In Electrum: File -> New/Restore -> Standard Wallet -> I already have a seed.
2. Write your 12 words from Copay.
3. Click "Options" -> Check 'BIP39 seed" -> Next.
4. Leave the field like that (m/44'/0'/0') and click next.

This wallet should be the same as the one you originally created in Copay. If it's not, then something is wrong (maybe the 12 words seed?).

13496  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How much is the Electrum 2FA fee? on: January 26, 2018, 07:45:20 AM
The fee isn't hidden. You should have read the big disclaimer that is shown when you first create your 2FA wallet.

"A small fee will be charged on each transaction that uses the remote server. You may check and modify your billing preferences once installation is complete."

And why is a third party involved in a supposedly secure google authenticator service? Why is there even a middleman? Google provides the service for free.
You clearly don't know how a Bitcoin 2FA/multi-sig wallet works...

You are paying for TrustedCoin to act as a cosigner in your 2-of-3 multi-sig wallet. They validate the 2FA code you input and if it's correct, they sign the transaction.

Taken from the same disclaimer that you clearly didn't read: "Two-factor authentication is a service provided by TrustedCoin. It uses a multi-signature wallet, where you own 2 of 3 keys. The third key is stored on a remote server that signs transactions on your behalf. "
13497  Other / Meta / Re: Short breif and my thinking about merits on: January 26, 2018, 04:12:37 AM
Just a quick fix:

3. Every member with merits has a limited number per month. He can read carefully to decide what quality post is and hard to farm army of spam accounts by merits.
Only merit sources (users choosen by theymos) have a number of sMerits that are replenished per month. Normal users (like me) only have a limited amount of sMerit and they are not replenished per month.

Also, for every merit you receive, you also get 0.5 sMerit.
13498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Btc to usd or Eur on: January 26, 2018, 04:01:13 AM
You can't "transfer BTC to a bank account". First, you will need to sell them for USD/EUR.

Since most exchanges are limited to a number of countries, the first question would be: where are you from?

If you country is supporte by Coinbase (you can check it here[1]), just create and verify your account, deposit your BTC, sell them for USD/EUR and transfer them to your bank acocunt.

Also, Wirex isn't work anymore because all their cards have stopped working and it will likely stay like that until they can find a new card provider. You can read more about it here[2].

13499  Other / Meta / Re: Merit - A definition of, Rich people maintain Rich, POOR people will be POOR on: January 25, 2018, 11:17:26 PM
I'm looking past posts of Heros/Legendaries, many of them has spam posts in their beginning of here.
They became high ranks with spam posts, and now telling to ppl "Dont spam!".

You are the one of them. SO shut up

In this case, keyword: past.

Keyword: former. Literally everyone that joined in 2014 or later is a former/current spammer (except nullius, and maybe a few other exceptions). Read Lauda's first posts, my first posts, yahoo's first posts, etc.

But don't worry, I see why you seems so butthurt. The majority of your last posts (7 only yesterday) is "joining X campaign", which is the kind of post that will not get any merit. Thus you won't rank up very soon Undecided
