14441  Economy / Services / Re: [FREE] Redrose vanity address generation service on: July 27, 2017, 03:40:56 PM
How many custom characters are you willing to accept generate? Please specify for each case sensitive and insensitive.

Would be good to write this into the thread to avoid users asking for a vanity address with 10 custom characters.
14442  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: how do i backup electrum wallet on several usbs ? on: July 27, 2017, 11:15:36 AM
a. Find your wallet file on the Electrum folder and sent it to each one of your flash drives.

On windows:
  • Go to C:/Users/YourUserName/AppData/Roaming/Electrum/wallets

On Mac:
  • Open Finder
  • Go to folder (shift+cmd+G) and type ~/.electrum

On Linux:
  • Home Folder
  • Go -> Location and type ~/.electrum

b. Save your backup seed on a txt file and sent it to your flash drives.
14443  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [ Selling ] Steam Account +40 Games [ Current account value : $242 ] on: July 27, 2017, 12:18:52 AM
I really hate to say that, but your account isn't worth close to $16. I can say for sure that at least 80% of those games were given for free. If not more or all of them.

People would pay some money for accounts with quality games like GTA V, The Witcher 3, DOOM, etc. But thats not your case, and most of those games are shit anyway.
14444  Economy / Services / Re: [Slots Increased but still FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | 0.00075 BTC/post on: July 26, 2017, 07:06:27 PM
Former Bitmixer campaigners should not be allowed here. You are the enemy and want to work for ChipMixer?

Funny. Grin
LOL. Weren't you kicked from the campaign because of your low quality postings?

Btw, Bitmixer was closed. Why can't they start advertising a new service that can take the place as the biggest mixer? It's not personal.
14445  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: [Alert] Move Your Coins From Blockchain.info ASAP! on: July 26, 2017, 06:10:33 PM
They probably disabled the message feature because people were spamming them all day.

Btw, you can export your private keys from Blockchain. So, if you still want to keep your coins there (not the best option IMO), you can get your BCC coins with another wallet and keep using them for the regular Bitcoin chain.
14446  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Counterwallet - how to empty wallet? on: July 26, 2017, 06:03:50 PM
Try to import your wallet with the Counterwallet seed phrase at FreeWallet and send your whole balance from there.

Some time ago I had some tokens in a old wallet and didn't had the BTC 0.0005 required to do transactions with Counterwallet. So I just used FreeWallet to do the transaction with a fee of 0.0001 and it worked;
14447  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paper Wallet - is walletgenerator.net legit? on: July 26, 2017, 05:00:30 PM
Edit: not safe anymore, read https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5461181.0

Yes, they are legit.

Last question, if I download the generator from GitHub, and launch it without internet - can I move coins to it safely, and expect them to be on the paper wallet?
That's actually the best way of generating your paper wallet and avoiding any possible malwares. So, yes. Your generated address will work.

That I won't be sending them to an invalid or wrong address, that the paper wallet generated is legit, and I will indeed - have my coins, in my control.
No worries. You will be safe. Download the source code and generate a wallet while offline if you want to be 100% safe. You can also generate a temporary paper wallet, send a small amount of BTC and test the private key to see if you are really in control of your coins. Then, just generate a new one that you will keep it safe.
14448  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What's the current bitmixer situation? on: July 26, 2017, 02:26:33 PM
Of course the signature campaign will stop. Why would they keep paying money to advertise a service that doesn't exist anymore?

The campaign thread managed by Lauda is already locked. Some people reported that they received their payments this last few days. Not sure about the other users.
14449  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Issue receiving BTC on Jaxx Wallet on: July 26, 2017, 12:47:12 PM
Looks like the problem is only with Jaxx not updating the tx status, since your transaction seems to be confirmed already.

You could try:

1 - Reset the Jaxx Cache on settings.
2 - Reinstall Jaxx and import your wallet with the backup phrase.
14450  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it prohibited to participate in pay-to-spam campaigns? on: July 26, 2017, 12:26:11 PM
He is probably talking about the recent thread that got deleted because of the extreme spam that was coming from the campaign.

Joining a signature campaign and making constructive posts in the whole forum it's ok. Paying users to do insubstantial posts in their threads is already against rules, but it was even worse considering that the campaign from Decentraland was allowing users to do 10 posts per day in the same thread.

Here is theymos answer:
That is very much not allowed. The threads are trashed, the poster is banned for 60 days, everyone who participated is banned for 3 days, and everyone who participated cannot display a signature for 30 days.
14451  Other / Meta / Re: Paying to keep Thread on Top / Pay per Post on Bitcointalk on: July 26, 2017, 12:51:46 AM
Well honestly this is just my 1st time too seeing this and i gotta say that this is just to help the project advertise its ico. This kind of ppp to me unusual but seems legit. It is not the typical ppp that i was accostumed of. I too am curious feel free to update you posts if you have came across the same type of ppp.
In my opinion, it makes the ICO lose credibility.

If you haven't seen already, the campaign manager allows people to post 10 times a day in the ANN thread. Do you really believe that someone can make 10 constructive posts per day in the same thread without spamming? They don't even check the quality of those posts before paying their users.

As I said in a previously post: "The guy managing this campaign is legit asking people to spam on the forum for cents."

Edit: Good news :)

New Rule

Only 1 post in 24hr will count.

Rule will be applied after this post

14452  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: steps to make paypal transactions safer on: July 25, 2017, 08:44:41 PM
This seems too much overkill for a simple trade.

The best solution is actually quite simple: Only sell/buy from people you trust. There are plenty of trusted sellers and buyers on BitcoinTalk that accept Paypal and are willing to do safe trades with you anytime.

I honestly do not know why people insist on doing trades with newbies and randoms. Especially since Bitcoin is an irreversible currency and Paypal is not. It seems they are asking to get scammed.
14453  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Valve Complete Pack / STEAM&BLIZZARD Gift Cards GLOBAL&EU REGIONS on: July 25, 2017, 08:20:43 PM

Did you at least refund this guy? Why the code didn't work?

Bought Steam gift card 10 usd , and it doesnt work . Waiting for change or refund !

14454  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum sign message on: July 25, 2017, 06:49:58 PM
Are you sure you are doing everything right?
Try to do the step-by-step guide on this thread and post your signed message here so I can check.

14455  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: July 25, 2017, 05:29:55 PM
-snip-
First of all, if you ever have any issues, it's better to contact ChipMixer support on chipmixer@protonmail.com

Now, they made a post explaining why this may have happened just two posts above yours.
First, due to unexpected amount of traffic, all prepared chips were withdrawn (there were not enough for this demand), which means that some of you may have received less chips and a voucher for a missing sum. If you are one of those, you can now use your voucher. Why is it bad? Because chips you will withdraw now will be created after deposit which is one of the reasons why ChipMixer gives more privacy than other mixers. In this case, due to traffic, we could not offer that to you.

Sad to hear that this happened and some people may have had a bad first experience with ChipMixer. But imagine being flooded by all the users of your old biggest competitor... Problems can happen.

OP what details or proofs you needed I can provide and lets make that quick because my session might end in next 48 hours.
Even if they take some time to answer you and your session is close to expire (I doubt they will take that long), you can always extend your session while mixing.

14457  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is it safe to keep bitcoins at Xapo wallet during the 1st August period? on: July 24, 2017, 10:17:51 PM
-snip-
[...] It all depends on how the exchanges chooses to handle it.
/thread

Do you want any more reasons to not keep your coins with Xapo?

Just please don't say that like it was ok for them to choose if you can or not get your coins on both sides of the chain.
14458  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: July 24, 2017, 08:08:07 PM
Does anyone know if ChipMixer will be affected by the potential fork? Will they halt all mixing for any period of time before or after Aug 1?

I personally will probably not mix any near that date just to be safe, but if anyone knows of implications of doing so, please share.
This is the third time someone is asking this. Please check the last few pages before making questions that already have been answered before.

Aug 1 / BIP148 is coming in 15 days. ChipMixer will closed a day before Aug 1 till situation get stable.

What does it mean for you?

If you have withdrawn chips (private keys) - you can spend them any time you want, even when ChipMixer is closed. If hardfork happen, your funds will be spendable on both forks.
If you have unspent voucher(s) - redeem them for private key before or wait till we reopen. Same if you need to mix some coins.

In case of doubt, redeem and sweep before Aug 1.

Does ChipMixer support BIP148/BIP149/Segwit/Segwitx2/others?

No. We focus on privacy and Segwit does not give us anything related to privacy. Hardfork means lack of stability and loss of Bitcoin value.
14459  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is not Anonymous on: July 24, 2017, 08:01:31 PM
All of the guys above are suggesting you can take measures to assure your anonymity, but no-one gave you a solid advice. There are certain sites, mixers that provide you a highly secure service. They scramble your coins with their own and prevent others from tracking your BTC.

Let's say you receive ten $100 bills that have consecutive serial numbers. Someone could check where those particular notes end up and figure out what you used them for. But you could go to a bank and get ten different bills that are basically untraceable.

You could try any, but I highly recommend Bitmixer the site in my signature bellow.
You seems to be a little out of the loop.

Bitmixer just got closed by his owner. Here is the announcement thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2042470.0
14460  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Problem with my blockchain account. on: July 24, 2017, 05:48:54 PM
Your password is most likely incorrect. They send you a email to authenticate a new login even if you insert an incorrect password.

Did you at least backup your wallet recovery phrase?

I know that when you try to logout they recommend you to do that to avoid any issues like forgeting your password.

Btw, why use Blockchain wallet? Download an offline wallet and you will never have this kind of problem again.
