1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chia and decentralized trade on: October 30, 2022, 09:57:06 PM
sure if a developer of a smart contract manages to block certain wallets it is not a pleasant thing, obviously to be safe is better to use the cat tokens, the chia value has dropped by 98% but perhaps at the moment the type of mining proposed (with hard disk) is the only one that is somehow still profitable
if it was the only form of mining that's still somehow profitable, then don't you think it would be the most talked about coin in the altcoin mining boards right now?
Perhaps if the price went back up to $1,600 or even 5x from that price, it would make some sense but not at $32
1362  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How does a broker store the same coin deposited via different networks? on: October 30, 2022, 09:45:29 PM
Yet where do the coins actually reside on Binance?
Binance hot wallet and cold wallets. When you deposit money in the ban with specific notes, it doesn't mean you will get the exact notes when you withdraw 1 hour later.

Quote
I imagine 10 USDT on an ETH wallet and 10 on a Tron wallet?
If so, what happens if the Tron network is compromised (e.g. hack or dump), do I lose half of my funds?
An attack on the tron USDT would probably mean an attack on the whole Tether token. I think the whole price of Tether token would be affected rather than just a half.

As far as I know I cannot see on binance that my USDT coins are devided amongst different addresses/networks.
yes it's just shown as USDT in general.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 30, 2022, 09:36:44 PM
Arsenal didn't surprise anyone and met the expectations by far. This huge 5-0 win was very satisfying for them after a point loss against Southampton. However Gabriel Jesus has been silent so far. This is his fourth match in a row in the league that he doesn't score any goal. He still made a solid contribution with 2 assists in this match maybe. But Arsenal need him to start scoring also. Not all the matches will be this comfortable in the end. They will need him those times.
Gabriel Jesus need a boost in his confidence which seems to have dipped a little due to the goal drought. He played so well today and even missed ago chance. I think he will soon rediscover his goal scoring boats.

Meanwhile, Arsenal continue to amaze me, I do hope they continue to be consistent until the end of the season, they will definitely get some silverware.
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: staking USDC possible? on: October 30, 2022, 08:38:32 PM
Thank you.

Its not possible to stake any other coins/tokens in a POS model because most of the time they prefer the native token/coin to be locked up.
Does this mean, that there are the designers of the blockchain, that decide if only the native coin is available for staking and no tokens. So can you say any blockchain, that allows also to stake any token?
To simplify your answer. Let's go back in time, when Ethereum was still POW. Ethereum was the blockchain network and ETH was the native coin of the network. In the same network there were thousands of ERC20 tokens built on it but all those coins and network depended on the native coin Ether for deployment of smart contracts, transaction fees etc.
The only coin that could be mined was ETH and the mining rewards we also in ETH not USDT, USDC, BAT or any other token. The same applies to the current POS Algorithm. On the Ethereum network, you only stake ETH.

1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: CoolWin Quantitative Trading System on: October 30, 2022, 08:27:38 PM
How about you show us how the bot works and the records of the returns it made in your previously documented traded?
Nobody is just going to throw away their hard-earned money by blindly using a service they have no idea about. There are lots of scams and malware in the field, so people here proceed with caution.
1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinbase wallet. on: October 30, 2022, 07:51:50 PM
Coinbase is a centralized platform for trading cryptocurrencies and therefore all of its service products are necessarily centralized, including the Coinbase wallet. I used Coinbase before and I did not have any problems, but since it is a central wallet, I cannot trust it at all, so I only used it for small amounts.
Personally, I do not advise you to use central wallets, and the best solution for you to store all your cryptocurrencies in one wallet is to buy a hardware wallet, and you will be able to withdraw your money from the trading platforms on your own wallet safely. Of course, on your hardware wallet, the fees will be almost zero since you will only have to pay network fees while making the transfers.
I think you are mixing up something a bit.
There is coinbase.com (Custodial exchange and wallet) and the also a mobile app called coinbase wallet which a noncustodial version though If you mind about privacy. I would notrecommend OP using it, including the noncustodial wallet.

1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: October 29, 2022, 09:40:38 PM
Speaking of the Croatia squad, we know what we are talking about. because after all, we have the statistics of the Croatia squad.  but, after all for me Croatia is one of the underdog teams that is always taken into account in this world cup.
although currently without the reinforcement of Ivan Rakitic, and several other players. however, they are still able to have a pretty good result with the current squad.

I'm not saying Croatia will repeat the 2018 world cup again, but at least they are a team that always counts.
slackovic is actually right. The Croatia team of 2018 was something different. All the players were not world-class, but they played as a single unit. Ivan Perišić was so good. Modric and Rakitic were quite a good duo in the midfield. Right now Modric is old though still very good, but I don't think they will be able to reignite the 2018 magic as a whole team
1368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 29, 2022, 09:13:07 PM
Cadiz 3 - 2 Atletico Madrid

I think it's time for Atletico Madrid's coach to be fired, in recent times Atletico Madrid has been a big disappointment, in the Champions League game I bet on them, and just when the game was about to end they had a penalty that they failed miserably, today they came back conceding many goals and worse, today they lost against a team that is fighting to get out of the relegation zone, honestly and disappointing the performance of Atlético Madrid
He was supposed to leave somewhere in 2017 after the previous year's champion's league final. That's when I believe the Atletico Madrid DNA he has instilled ended. Today the club just keeps getting worse.

Valencia 0 - 1 Barcelona

lewandowski saved barcelona from a defeat, at 90 + 3 minutes he scored a goal, without a doubt the best thing that barcelona did was to sign lewandoski
If he gets injured or laid off, Barcelona will struggle a lot. Lately, It has just been all about Lewandowski for them
1369  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchange platform with lowest fees on: October 28, 2022, 09:47:00 PM
If you want to achieve low fees when trying to convert fiat to crypto and vice versa

You are going to personally participate in trading. Place limit orders for spot trading on advanced options or use p2p platforms where you can place and order or buy and sell using the best offers available.
most centralized exchanges now offer custodial p2p service, just pick up your favourite like https://p2p.binance.com/en/trade/all-payments/USDT?fiat=EUR
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 28, 2022, 09:17:22 PM
I think otherwise actually. Leicester are having a difficult season and City on other hand are having a great run with their new striker. For Leicester, they have lost some crucial players in the last transfer window. Their goalkeeper usually tends to struggle in pressure and Haaland will create all sorts of trouble inside Leicester's box.
What we are seeing happening right now at Leicester City are the effects of not participating in the transfer market to sign some new players and bolster their squad, and yet they offloaded some.

I stand to be corrected, but Leicester City might go back to Championship.
1371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 28, 2022, 08:24:32 PM
There is still one game left for all clubs, PSG will 100% finish at the top, meaning they will face a second of another group, and looking at the seconds of the groups, unless they face Liverpool they won't have any type of trouble. And even if they face them, Liverpool is not really doing great this season so they may beat them easily too.
It's always those under looked second placed teams to kick out the so-called favorites. Last season was an exception because Real Madrid did the job themselves, being the record UCL champions. But, even then the biased media kept treating them as underdogs until final whistle of the competition.

If Barcelona want to do well in the Champions League, they need more quality players in their squad. Because to reach the Champions League with the current players is absolutely extraordinary. It is important to add some new midfielders and defense in their team. The exit from the Champions League led to some financial problems
Not just quality players, there is also need for team spirit and winning mentality among them. Look at PSG and Manchester City. They have had quality players for years now, and yet they always fell short in Champion's League.
1372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: October 28, 2022, 08:06:04 PM
@Agbe, your FIFA 2022 world cup poll is so biased or one-sided, am sorry to say  Cheesy, This is no Euro

How did you miss out the record world cup champions Brazil? Or even the likes of Argentina?
I am a Germany backer, but please, your poll does not represent what the world cup stands for.
1373  Other / Politics & Society / Re: To Russia and Ethiopia, why negotiate with the ones you called Terrorists? on: October 27, 2022, 09:56:22 PM
Let me give you a scenario you will perfectly understand

A terrorist or murderer attacks a place that has some of your loved ones and kills even some people in the process, and then he proceeds to hold your loved ones hostage. He sets up terms of which if you don't follow, he will kill all your loved ones.

Do you opt to negotiate with him so that your loved ones come out safe, or you refuse to negotiate and let him kill them?

Now, I think you know why some Governments end up negotiating with terrorist. Perhaps as away to avoid further bloodshed.
1374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bull started? on: October 27, 2022, 08:58:26 PM
Just of yesterday I have seen a strong move of the ethereum gaining about 10 percent from the previous price and I was triggered to know if the bull about to kick off.
What do you smells from it?
Not yet, we are probably still in accumulation phase. It will probably take months or even a couple of years.

Do not be easily carried way, In normal markets such mini pumps and dumps happen. Beware of Bull traps or you may end up being part of the prey that has been trapped. Remember, right now we are in a very tough economic situation.
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 27, 2022, 08:50:08 PM
Barcelona will not win any of the remaining trophies.
What? Are you a prophet of sorts?

Have you forgotten that they still have their favourite trophy to win? Copa del Rey?
They still have a chance in La Liga and Europa as well. Exiting Champion's League does not mean they don't have a chance of winning other trophies, unless if it's your first time knowing about football.
1376  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Problem posting images on: October 26, 2022, 09:36:25 PM
I was hoping to avoid using some image sharing site that will start to demand payment once I have invested significant effort.
I think imgur or ImgBB have no problem since they are free image hosting sites. Just make sure you upload images when not logged in if you are concerned about your privacy (The only downside is that you won't be able to delete the image once it's uploaded)
1377  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Surveillance Coin is coming to UK on: October 26, 2022, 08:36:33 PM
Just wondering, why are people making so much noise about CBDC's, yet the same people use fiat currencies every day? Isn't it the same thing in this case, but it's just fiat in digital form, or I am missing some detail?

Those who are smart will still choose Bitcoin over CBDCs if they want to make certain transactions like it is the case right now.
1378  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Duelbits] SCAM Withdrawal Issue on: October 24, 2022, 01:51:25 PM
It irritates me when I see people suggest a campaign manager to contact when a scam accusation has raised for a company. Hhampuz is just the campaign manager and he has no obligation to involve in such cases.
No need to get irritated over everything. Their official account hasn't been online for a while, and it isn't good to see some scam accusations drag on for so long and destroy a service's reputation. Hhampuz does chip in to help and things have worked out positively, that's why he's a great campaign manager.
1379  Other / Off-topic / Re: What about a smartphone keyboard on: October 23, 2022, 09:53:22 PM
can these hacks happen on a mobile smartphone too?
Android phones to be precise.
Absolutely! In fact, android devices are the most targeted among mobile phones because of a higher user base.

This is one of the few examples I just searched MysteryBot – the Android malware that’s keylogger, ransomware, and trojan

Like a common saying goes, "No system is 100% secure". Where it involves your personal data or money, be paranoid.
1380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Censorship be the end of the Ethereum Network? on: October 23, 2022, 09:23:55 PM
Although I’m sure they’ll try to steer Bitcoin towards PoS first to make their job easier.
They are already trying this with the stupid Bitcoin mining energy consumption agenda. Ethereum fell for the trap and what worsened was their very high transaction fees... lol

POS or not, Ethereum is still a very large network compared to other altcoins. From the beginning, their selling points were transaction fees and smart contracts. I don't think any other shitcoin like BNB will overtake them in terms of adoption, but they certainly will drop further down way from Bitcoin from many points.
