Laporta also is backing Xavi so I think they are much more focused on building a strong squad at Barcelona which is ideal thing to do for them right now. They stand 3 points behind the table leaders in LaLiga so I think they have good chance of winning the title unlike last season and they have decent enough squad to keep on going for LaLiga title with Madrid till the end. Hope Xavi can help Barca bring at least one of the titles.

It's good when fans still have optimism about their team's chances even if their Champions League has failed miserably. Barcelona have a chance to win the title in Laliga, Copa Del Rey or Europa League this season, but I don't know which title is most likely for them.

That is going to be a hard endeavor in my opinion as Real Madrid constantly delivers solid results recently and I am not of the impression that that will change significantly. The performance in the champions league now was almost without any passion and the goals against them looked too easy sometimes.

One way out is the EL, but I wonder what even the title in that competition would eventually mean to the fans and to the club as a whole. Winning the PD against Real Madrid is probably even more prestige.

La Liga is the main target Xavi. I'm sure of it. after returning the game from Barca last season, and managed to finish well. this season Xavi will focus on La Liga.

I suppose by actors you mean players there but anyway, I think Barcelona are on road to recovery. Given how Barcelona have been struggling financially, it is tough to keep up in transfer window but they somehow are adjusting by selling broadcasting rights and getting enough funds to be active in transfer window and bring players and make the squad strong. At this point they are obviously gonna struggle but if I compare the Barca 1-2 years back and the Barca right now, then I find the current Barca better with lot of potential. In my opinion, players like Gavi, Pedri, Araujo or Fati have lot of potential and can make Barca a world class squad again at some point if they are given chances like Xavi is giving right now.

If someone is thinking of absolute result from Barca, then forget it. They might have chance at other titles this season but CL requires just more than a better squad (otherwise teams like PSG and City would have already won something in these last 2-3 years). They are building a squad right now so expect few and up downs from them for the time being.

The problem is with doubts that they failed in the Champions League whether they really believe that to get CDR, Europa League or La Liga.
We know that CDR may not be that important for Real Madrid because they always allow their substitutes to play if they reflect on the previous season but for La Liga it is clear that Madrid don't want that even though they are still quite comfortable at the top even though Barcelona are still stuck.
As for the Europa League, they were also the favorites last season but in the end they also failed because they even lost unexpectedly.

For some reason, I am starting to think that we had given the new coach of Barcelona, Xavi a little too much credit which he probably did not even deserve. I don't think that the performance of Barcelona actually improved that much, to be honest.

I know that a lot of people are not going to agree with me but that's okay. When he came as the coach of Barcelona at first, it was a sudden boost in the team. And he also brought back the favorite style of Barcelona, tiki-taka. And the style was quite familiar to the players of Barcelona. I think that's why they did well initially but now he does not have anything else to offer to Barcelona. And I don't think if it does not win the la Liga title he will not be under any kind of threat to lose his job.

After Barcelona are confirmed out of the Champions League, then I think they will really want to get something good in Laliga. This week Barcelona will away to Valencia for matchday 12, and for this match I can expect Barcelona to do better despite the disappointments they experienced in the Champions League. On the other hand, Real Madrid who played at home against Girona seemed to be very superior compared to their opponents. Girona has odds of 12 to win, but this is something hard to win.

This is why I believe that we shouldn't be really shocked to see Real still keeping it a tight competition, but Barcelona do have the advantage in the league right now with how free their schedule became.

It is because Xavi didn't prioritize buying top defenders. The only defender who is strong enough already bought by Xavi, is Kounde. But this man seems a bit difficult to adapt to Barcelona game/tactic. And he needs another good defender as his partner in Barcelona defence line. Pique, Christensen, and García seem not stong enough as Centre-Back who is paired with Kounde. I assume Xavi must buy a strong Centre-Back in the next transfer window. But it is better for an experienced Centre-Back, don't buy a young Centre-Back.

Real Madrid is just three point above Barcelona, which means that if Madrid lose just one match Barcelona would catchup. The only advantage Real Madrid have over Barcelona is that Real has an experienced tactician Carlo Ancelotti. He is one of the best coaches’ globally, meanwhile Xavi is a newbie in the coaching field. The league is still fresh and I hope that some teams would have to use the January transfer window to readjust their teams effectively and efficiently. And I also feel that  Barca bought more players than they can maintain, they need to offload some players.
