v8 -> v9 power consumption jump ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) ~35% How did you measure it? What cards do you use? I see much less jump, may be 5-10%. It's my mistake, VGA wasn't downclock Power consumption from wall.
I measured it on one of my rig, not new (old): - CPU: core2duo - Mem: DDR2 2Gb - PSU: Enermax 550W (old, even not bronze) - VGA: 2*XFX280X GPU/MEM:1030/1500 VCDD:1v
miner setting GPU 0/1: -ss 1/2 -t default/8
Miner v2.0 375w Miner v2.1 380w Miner v3.0 405w Miner v3.1b 410w Miner v4.0 405w Miner v5.0 400w Miner v6.0 395w
I don't remember v7 and v8 power consumption but I did last measurement v9.1 460 That's getting a little high for wattage for the v9.1. Maybe try to underclock the memory and it shouldn't affect the cpd as long as the core clock isn't changed.

Phase changing cooling is good, but the only thing you have to watch for is condensation. Water cooling probably is cheaper than phase changing cooling and more widely available.
|
|
|
Would underclocking memory negatively affect the hash rates?
|
|
|
Which algo's are unaffected by underclocking gpu memory and still hash away at the same rate? ie. X11, Scrypt-OG, HEFTY-1, Groestl, Maru, XPM (GPU mining), etc.....

That's the guy who actively wanted to bring this pool down with DDOS and whatnot...or at least he claimed to be.
Yes. Rather unfortunate to have such individuals in this world. He was cheering for madMAx's pool to go down, now he wants help with the solo miner. That's irony in it self, really ungrateful.

Surprised that the 5770 even works with the miner.

one fpga mining x11 equal 10 card 280x speed, but one fpga mining script only equal one 7850 card speed. use fpga mining x11 coin can get a very high speed than gpu miner, that's why gpu miner can't get a good profitability for mining x11,because x11 net hash has many many fpga speed. someone why know fpga,i think you know x11 can be very easy design by fpga, and if one fpga worth 100usd,the gpu miner at least use 1000usd video card can get a equal speed for fpga
Where is the proof/evidence that there is one working that efficiently? You posted a topic about people should stop mining X11 with gpu. Once you show the proof, then people will believe you. As the saying goes, "Seeing is believing" . Rumors and speculation aren't going to prove anything.

Thanks for the input so far. I'd like to multiport mine X11 once DRM PoW is over. I have a multipool that mines about 7 X11 coins depending on profitability but we pay out in HIRO
What's your url to the pool? Oh, you also own TradeMyBit too?

pool.trademybit.com, has x11 multiport
Thanks. Does the profit switching work fine on the X11 coins?

This guy is tripping. Even if FPGA's are out there, ONLY VERY VERY FEW have them. I remember when maxcoin was released, holy cow, there were some MONSTER GPU Farms on that 1gh, and keccak was pretty much GPU, since asics wasnt really out in the mainstream. There are LOTS of GPU farms that can push over a million on X11, so like i said earlier, this guy must tripping.
X11 ASIC's aren't going to come out until X11 coins are profitable enough like Scrypt. An FPGA is probably doable, but haven't heard any solid and concrete evidence of one yet. this does not esclude, that they are already testing some for the future, you really think that scrypt asic were available only when we have begun to buy them? i know there are at least two users here with a KNC Titan for pre-test KNC has a bad rep for mining with customers mining equipment before shipping it. I don't doubt someone has a X11 ASIC in the works.

I know there is http://www.coinmine.pw/, but it only has HIRO and DRK. Is there any other multipool that have at least 10 or more X11 coins to mine?

This should be titled "Best performing crypto for the 1st quarter of 2014". The title is kind of vague, since only a quarter of the year has passed only.

overclocking cards helps more cpd? Yes, my 3xRadeon R9 290X @ 1040/1250MHz (memory overclocking has no effect unlike scrypt mining): [GPU 0] T=-1C A=-1% E=0 primes=0.102172 fermat=624595/sec cpd=6.69/day [GPU 1] T=-1C A=-1% E=0 primes=0.102141 fermat=625096/sec cpd=6.68/day [GPU 2] T=-1C A=-1% E=0 primes=0.102151 fermat=624178/sec cpd=6.67/day
also it says balance:1.6xpm requested:1xpm. Whats that requested xpm mean? 1 xpm ready to payout.. payouts starts after two days mining. Yes, the modular exponentiation code that was released with this miner is a good start for others to use, but very slow.
I'm wrong about 400% (miner shows 500-600k Fermat tests per second, but miner do some other work, not only Fermat tests ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) ), really 100-120%. Did you compile an improve version of the madMAx miner? If yes, is it solo and/or pool?

Seems like it isn't profitable at the moment, if even marginal. Comparing the difficulty of mining some of these coins don't correlate to the market prices. Maybe the whales aren't sold on X11 yet or X11 coins are not getting enough advertisement in the public, who knows. Does look really dire for gpu mining at the moment, unless you got super cheap electricity and/or designed a fpga to mine it efficiently. Only thing I see profitable to mine with gpu's is XPM.

Where is the announcement of this coin and details?

Is it support lowend card like 7790 ? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Works with all GCN cards. It will work on that 7790, but not very fast.

Hopefully someone can tune this miner to make the older AMD/ATI cards run better, ie. 5800's and 6900's....

Is it just coincidental, or did Claymore just grab this open source miner, recompile it, and post it on his version 8.0 miner? The CPD is right about what madMax promised(4.8-4.9 CPD at 1150); Caymore's miner was previously running about 2.33 CPD (version 7.0).
I love the fact that madMax open sourced his miner, and I do plan to donate, but if someone else is going to be charging for his work, I think he should give it an extra days worth of work and post the miner up for a pool (with or without a fee). Just a thought.
As much as I hate to see Windows-only, ypool-only, 10% dev fee (dev fee is fine, 10% is too much. Also, Claymore and primeGPU, have not kept to their words to releasing their source when 2 GPU miners were open sourced. Now why should ppl be held random to these 2 buggers?) xpm mafia devs, I do not think it is easy to just grab the code, recompile and post as his 8.0 miner. My suspicion is that Claymore did not release his fastest miner outright at the start. He might not have released his fastest miner, but Claymore specialized in optimizing his miner for 290s. To get double the CPD from a 280x using his miner, just a day after this open source miner was released is a little fishy. I wouldn't mind if he improved on it and charged 5% -- but 10%? I have a hunch that he releases the latest version after the open source version of madMAx, then took what ever code in that and merged it with his. That is just my speculation on it.
