The Taliban takeover of Afghanistan and the involvement of Pakistani forces in that changed the ground situation. Rather than any real change in the security status, this may be the factor that might have resulted in the tour cancellation.

Its important for future of Afghanistan cricket that ICC should continue support of Afghanistan. Afghan cricket team has made massive progress in last decade and it will be back to zero if ICC disconnect its support due to recent government change.

No one wants to risk their lives. I support the decision of the New Zealand Board. Because several players have received death threats. In a country like Pakistan, when players receive death threats, the players become emotionally scared and weak.

Absolutely wrong, there isn't anything like that happened at first place. New Zealan officials says they called off tour because there government said so. Details are never shared till date.

So to cut it short. PCB and other small boards have to increase there revenue if they want ICC to listen to them otherwise things will continue to move like that.
1362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 01, 2021, 06:15:04 PM
~~~
Such a rule will not work, as already posted previously.
The player will simply refuse to enter in to a contract with the national cricket board. Look at all the South African players. They refuse contracts from CSA, and now play domestic cricket in England, New Zealand or the United States due to the quota policy. And as long as they are not contracted, the national cricket board can't do anything against them. But if a player is contracted, then obviously he needs to follow whatever the board tells him. If the board ask him not to play in any of the franchise leagues, then he doesn't have any other choice but to follow that.
Its not good for cricket then. Players first choice will be T20 leagues not the national side matches. We have seen so many test, ODI and T20I series where teams were playing with new players as senior players went to play leagues.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: September 30, 2021, 05:01:37 PM
Yes most of the players played in the Oman national cricket team comes from Pakistan and India which already a good team. Oman already gained the highest point in the world cup selection match between Oman, USA, Papua new guinea and Scotland.
Not "most", but all (100%). The Oman cricket team in its history has never included an Omani citizen in its playing XI. They just give temporary contracts to domestic players from Pakistan and India and bring them to Oman with work visa to qualify for the 6-month residency requirement. But it has worked well for them, as they are on top of the points table. Other gulf nations also do the same. But in case of UAE and Kuwait, they used to have 1-2 Arab players in their playing XI earlier (Sultan Mohammed Zarawani and Fahad Al Hashemi are examples).
@Sithara007 and the ICC is okay with this?, isn’t this a manipulation of the rules because their own citizens don’t participate so how’s this allowed I don’t understand. Also do these player’s give up their country, and become permanent residents of Oman? if not then I feel this is not a legit way to make a team, maybe you’ll have a different perspective and I’m keen to know it.
Yes this is going in almost all Gulf countries cricket team and AFAIK same is with Canada cricket team, they also pick players from Pakistan, India, Bangla and SL (not sure they are permanent residents or just on work visa).
ICC is just happy with this since now he has some more teams in his list and getting some more funds. I don't see any role of ICC in regulating cricketing affairs worldwide.
Probably because of PCB efforts and criticism on ECB, they promised to tour in 2022 with tests and ODIs. Finally some good news for PCB and fans.
ECB chairman promises to 'do everything we can' to travel to Pakistan on schedule in 2022.
This doesn't mean anything. ECB still requires approval from the UK government to tour Pakistan. And with the current security situation, I would say that the probability of that is less than 1%. Just coming up with a statement, ensuring "we will do all that we could" doesn't need any approval or effort. But the problem is that such a statement doesn't guarantee that the England team would tour Pakistan in 2022. The PCB should arrange the matches in neutral venues such as the UAE or Oman, if they don't want any last minute cancellations.
Considering PCB recent reaction, they are unlikely to change their stance about playing on neutral ground.
ECB postponing tour, Australian looking for excuse just to cancel their tour and PCB CEO Wasim Khan also stepped down couple of days back. Things are not looking good for the PCB. This Wasim Khan was really hard working guy, hope his replacement able to fill his shoes.
After that rejection from ECB and NZL at the last possible moment, the future of cricket in Pakistan was in huge doubt. We all know what happened to Sri Lankan Team in the past and no one wants that to be repeated right? But it was a very nice gesture from ECB saying that they will tour in 2022 with ODI and Tests. But also, the tour highly depends on if the England Govt. will permit them to do so. Only time will tell what decision they will take.
Tour cancellation ECB's decision, not government's, says British HC to Pakistan
"The British High Commission supported the tour, did not advise against in on security grounds," Christian Turner tweets
On recent tour cancellation England govt said its decision of ECB which is an independent entity. Lets see what decision ECB takes this time.  There are very less chances of teams like NZL, England and Australia visiting Pakistan in near future. Though we have seen successful tour of RSA, Srilanka and Zimbabwe. Role of ICC is very important in resolving such matters but unfortunately its no where seen.
1365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 30, 2021, 06:49:40 AM
Pakistan has already invited and played safely against RSA, SL, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. It was time for other team to visit Pakistan but they refused. AFAIK, security was not the prime reason rather they were political decision. Either way its bad for PCB and bad for the game.
I am also saying the same thing but they should so some action like inviting more teams to their country or if ICC, don't allow this, then conduct more domestic tournaments and invite international players. I remember they started KPL this year along with PSL.
Only claiming that due to political reason no teams want to come here, why not  find ways to improve the situation.
Right now there is National T20 Cup going on in Pakistan domestic and all major players from national side are participating in that tournament. You are right that PCB should not sit back and just keep on cursing the political reasons.
The major bottleneck here is that since you have long list of banned countries, most potential players from the forum can't access your site.
Hence, how can they give you feedback or valid suggestions to improve your services?
Maybe, open your site for demo mode and let them see what's inside your site.
You can't receive their valuable suggestions if only few can access your site.
Since you are still working on your license, maybe you can open it to other countries which are not very strict to their gambling activities.
OP must be kidding. There is whole world in blocked list not sure how many are in allowed category. This is very first time I am seeing such huge restricted list.
Anyways is there anyone who has seen there "MASSIVE CRYPTO BONUS ON SIGNUP". How much they are giving to new comers?
My mood is greatly destroyed since my area is in restricted list so wont be trying it with VPN. If anyone can share insight of what sort of games they are offering?
1367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a new blockchain that will compete with Ethereum? on: September 26, 2021, 05:52:04 AM
we have both seen their growth namely Binance, most likely and many predict BNB or BINANCE is a strong competitor to Ethereum, but it is not easy to happen because ethereum continues to be developed by its developers.
I don't think comparison of BNB and Eth blockchain is valid since one is centralized and other is decentralized respectively.
Just like there is long list of P2P cash transfer coins but BTC still rules the market. On the same footing, there is long list of blockchains that allow hosting DAPPs (SOL, Cardano etc) but still Eth rules the alt coin market. The prime reason is its huge community of developers that keep on developing it.
1368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The risks of using Bitcoin on: September 26, 2021, 05:45:51 AM
The risk of Policy
The risk of the law
Governments of the world don't like bitcoin at all. Since this is something that is challenging the decade old centralized financial system that is abusing consumers. Risk associated with government policies are valid and have heavy impact on btc price. See China decision about crypto currency and its impact on btc price.
Quote
  • The risk of  Money laundering
I think its quite unfair to associate bad things like money laundering, ransomware etc with Bitcoin. As such things are happening with centralized fiat currencies before bitcoin was introduced. Even today major portion of money laundering goes with Fiat currency.
1369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Good ways to trade? on: September 26, 2021, 05:32:41 AM
Hi I am new to crypto and wonder what are some of the best technical indicators to use for trading?
If you are new to crypto then i sincerely advice you to stay away from crypto trading rather go for long term investment. Even before you made your mind about trading or HODLing, you need to spend time to understand how volatility of this market works.
For trading two widely known techniques are Fundamental and Technical Analysis, you can google and learn them.
1370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Tether crash to $0? on: September 25, 2021, 08:53:14 AM
Back in 2017, the topic of stablecoins like Tether completely crashing to $0. Is Tether still safe to hold your funds on?
Do you mean Tether crashes to 0 in 2017? Can you please share link where its mentioned.
Its at no 4 at CMC and one of the top choice for traders to keep there cash readily available for investing in btc and altcoins.
It has market cap of 68 billion usd right now. I dont know whether company has same no of usd in there reserves.
Its already written so many times that why it cant go to zero, so i wont discuss that.
1371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Cryptocurrency is best for long term investment? on: September 25, 2021, 08:47:15 AM
for me for the long term I just choose bitcoin and that is enough, unless we want a bigger profit, then we can choose another altcoin that is at the top of the coinmarketcap, where these altcoints have a greater chance than other altcoins , but if we understand the market movement, we can wait for the best price to buy
BTC should be the primary coin for investment in crypto. Its also good to build a diversified portfolio with BTC having majority share while remaining share be given to top alt coin of CMC like ETH, LTC, Monero etc.
Its very unlikely that alt coins may go up without btc price going up. That's one parameter we have to keep in mind while investing in alt coins.
1372  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many accounts per User or Company ? on: September 25, 2021, 08:32:25 AM
Most bounties have a rule that does not allow multiple account registration into the campaign. If caught, you will not receive any reward, and you will also get your accounts red tagged by DT members.
The sad reality is, bounties are not worth your time and Internet data. Most of the bounties pay out tokens that aren't even listed in exchanges, that is, if you are lucky to be paid. Yes, you may create 20 accounts and join different bounties, but what are you earning out of all that effort?
$2 overall?
Use your time to do something much more decent to earn you better. Like a job or selling the works of your skill or talent.
For bounty that is open for everyone, the reward is merely 1$ for weeks of work. So its not advisable to participant in such bounties. Its better to rank up to level of at-least full member and participate in bounties that give decent rewards for week of work. Such bounties wont only give you good reward but also increase your knowledge since you are required to post quality contents.
1373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One of the best coin Bitcoin on: September 25, 2021, 08:27:18 AM
as of now bitcoin is the best coin, because of how big the value of bitcoin is now and the amount of services and products you can buy with it, unlike other crypto their uses is still not widely propagated unlike bitcoin. many businesses like tesla approves the payment of bitcoin until recently and many businesses still uses bitcoin as their alternative way of payment. so for me bitcoin is still best coin
Bitcoin is no doubt the king of crypto market but I have a different stand when it comes to services and products that can be bought using Bitcoin. We can use BTC to buy specific things (there are very merchants that accept BTC) and too under certain conditions (like merchants accepting BTC via LN). Bitcoin despite massive popularity still hasn't made it to daily payment system and this is one of biggest concern about BTC in days to come.
1374  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Understand trading on: September 24, 2021, 05:43:12 PM
What are the most recommended methods that one could use to Understand trading?
Everything that we need to learn is already available online, you just need to exert an effort to educate yourself.
There are youtube tutorial videos, ebooks and articles that can be a big help to better understand how trading works. You can also try a demo account to practice trading without using real money to become familiar on it. Nevertheless experience is the best teacher so dont be afraid to lose because thats the start of becoming a pro trader.
Trading is not for everyone rather its for experts only. Many newbies have tried crypto trading and ended up in loss. You cant just learn trading from YouTube videos and by reading articles. Its a long learning process, you learn from your mistakes.
AFAIK, acompulsory tool learning for crypto trading is fundamental analysis and technical analysis.
1375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a good Time to Buy? on: September 24, 2021, 05:09:30 PM
Bitcoin rise and fall has its own history but since last halving BTC is refusing to go down. After every dip BTC rises and get stable around 50k or some other decent value. So based on last 6 month data, I think its the right time to buy BTC. Dont invest too much in it, since market is still volatile.
Based on warren saying "Buy when everyone fears to buy"
1376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With all your assets, Investing in Bitcoin is really a madness or beneficial ? on: September 24, 2021, 04:47:34 PM
This actually makes sense especially the last statement you mentioned.
Diversifying and allocating your investment into different investment mechanisms seems to be the right move for long-term investment profit. But in terms of crypto, generally, most people have invested here in short-term due to its high volatility nature. When millionaires invest into BTC, the slightest increase/decrease on its price would mean the gain or loss of thousands to millions of dollars on their part. That is why, only invest the money that you can lose.
We need to be practical for our daily living. Though crypto and other investment options are good, as they can give you huge profit (not to forget huge loss). That's why its advisable, if you have savings keep some of it in secure schemes like insurances, government backed schemes to tackle any uncertain situation. Rest of money you can invest in any sector of your choice.
1377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano overthrow Ethereum? on: September 24, 2021, 04:40:28 PM
In terms of price, volume and market-cap cardano stands no where near Eth. I dont know why we are making such comparison. Cardano concept is no doubdt innovative but that doesn't means it can take him ahead of most popular DAPP platform aka Eth. If BTC is king of crypto then Eth is the Queen.
1378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING: Skill-based vs. Chance-based on: September 24, 2021, 07:47:37 AM
We can't just rely only on lucks when it comes to card games but also it requires knowledge and skills as well. Maybe if we are in the lottery, that really it only needs luck in order to win but the rest will need both.
As a gambler, I choose those games that I already know, this was the advantage we have and our chances of winning are a little bit high than those who have less/nothing.
For relaxation, I prefer games of chance. Games that require skill have a significant drawback - it is very difficult to relax while playing them. The more money at stake, the higher the likelihood that you are playing with the most skilled opponent who treats this activity as making money, I do not want such stress when I need to rest.
For me they both are same way of climbing the same mountain i.e. losing the money (atleast for me). The irony of chance based game is that once you start you never stop unless you have nothing left in pocket. You start game for relaxation but you get anxiety n stress as you proceed.
These are just my two cents.
1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 24, 2021, 05:40:32 AM
Even most of the peoples denying, but one thing is sure this IPL factor is surely working in this all because it's giving some good enough money to BCCI, and they are sharing with few boards like CA, ECB and CNZ as their players are too much involved in IPL three boards very strong and one is their ally, so they are taking good advantage of this all but its already killed beauty of this game.
In near future we will have some more issues like this then surely these are going to be having Karma for this all, and they have to pay for this unsporting behavior nature never allow this all it's take his own revenge but if they want to do some better than surely they need to think about this right now and play fair game with all.
Everyday is not Sunday. We saw a situation where Bangladesh cricket team just escaped a massacre on Muslim worship place but small boards didn't made any issue out of it and continue there tour's to NZ. Definatly big 3 will need support of other boards in the long run. Who knows we may have something bigger then ipl from small boards in years to come.
1380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 23, 2021, 06:31:15 PM
The ICC is now only for weaker boards. The ICC continues to exert its influence on weak and financially poor boards. On the other hand, the big cricket boards are always doing what they want. They are not accountable to the ICC. Thus the Cricket Council will not be able to maintain its reputation for very long. The ICC must be aware of its responsibilities and fulfill its responsibilities properly.
Everyone says that neutral ICC must be authority to control all cricketing affairs of the world but in reality its not happening. Whats the way forward, is there any practical solution to this?
We will continue to discuss this but big 3 and there allies will dominate the administration of cricket. I dont think in near future we have neutral and fully empowered ICC.
