This was one of the rare games that we watched Napoli having problems on winning. Roma played much better than I expected. Especially after seeing their performance against Napoli in Rome I thought like Napoli would get even a more comfortable win here. Still Napoli got the win of course that's what matters for them. Osimhen and Simeone's goals brought the victory.
Now we see Napoli 13 points ahead of Inter in the standings. They are in a very comfortable position from now on.
They dominated the match and Roma did not create too much challenge against Napoli. Roma did not play too good with attacking in the match and the equalizing goal is one of very few opportunities they had in the match. In contrast, Napoli created so many opportunities but anyway a late goal from Simeone solved everything for them. Napoli should be awarded Scudetto in this season because I don't see how they will waste 13 points difference too easily. Napoli's dominance is still unstoppable for now and even with this they are solidifying with their 13 point gap.
Even though this is indeed an interesting match because indeed Roma also presented a performance that actually can still be said to be good, but it is clear that Napoli still cannot be stopped for now
Result is only 2 - 1 for Napoli but during the match, they dominated AS Roma and really deserved that winning. Roma did not have too many dangerous opportunities in this match but Napoli had abundant chances to score more than 2 goals. This winning from Derby del Sol actually gives Napoli a very good big and safe difference with other clubs, not only Inter Milan. On the other hand, after Roma in the next 3 matches they will still face easy opponents and I am still quite sure that Napoli can continue to gain points.
Roma still have chance to join top four because even after this defeat, they are only 3 points less than Inter Milan at the second position. However they must avoid missing points in coming matches if they don't want to waste good chance in this race. |

I also believe that we will see Gakpo as one of the main players of the starting eleven. They have signed him with the aim of strengthening their attacking line in the end. Gakpo is a player who can play at swings and in the middle of Liverpool trio so he is so good as a replacement for Firmino. Diaz has made a big impact but Liverpool were still unable to fill Mane's place. After the Gakpo transfer they can fix their problems in productivity in time hopefully.
