1381  Economy / Speculation / Re: Challenging the lows, 25.5k and lower possible break here on: September 28, 2023, 11:59:46 PM
27075 is the line I'll draw for positive BTC here, I relate that to the peak July and low August of Summer pricing fairly recently.  Referencing Fibonacci levels matches most of the daily action.   My take for 2023 prior and now still is consolidation or simpler still sideways.   We are somewhat positive but still sideways is a good description for most of the movement rather then being assuming negative on the down move or positive will last when we rise as we did today.
Without passing 27075 and also confirming it as support to rise further, put it in the rear view not overhead or a ceiling as it easily can still be now; we are sideways.   Seems we  have to write down sideways on the whiteboard and just look to check our course on every move, are we to do the same once again repeat or can we move forward some.   When we are negative, my take is look for a positive upwards and that was my idea recently, now I consider sideways and target upside is 28913.  If we get 28913, its past the 200 day average and can we stick that positive gain at that point will be my question or once again we must assume a repeat and sideways.

You would believe a bot account with 20k followers with information over your local news network. Crazy times.

If we say AI instead of bot would that make any more sense.    We're heading towards where a bot is easily more useful to follow for collated information and responses then a person can be.  This isnt a negative outcome, the part where its a bot but deceiving people or the info is false thats a negative and also true.  I think AI is not just hype, it'll increase seems like.

Whatever Elon's rules and the websites rules, there is a legal requirement in each and every country they operate in.  I know at least some of these countries will count some of the topics on X as hate speech and you cannot just say whatever you like when it involves whats perceived as threats or anything violence related.   I dont like the PC culture especially but I think we already know not every topic will be ok, point is that in the course heated discussion people basically can come close to legal boundaries and go past that line where its no longer a peaceful debate hence why the website is always going to need some kind of moderation.  You cannot have this dream like idea of total free speech, theres always some who want to take it too far thats been true every year that Twitter or X existed.
I beginning to think Elon's tenue might not be a disaster, he can perhaps turn it around enough to say Im done and exit at some point with a few improvements perhaps to the quality and bots he complained about.  Maybe thats all he needs but my doubt would still be he makes a profit or it was actually a worthwhile project for him in personal advancement but not everything is monetary.
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: September 28, 2023, 11:39:12 PM
The point about losing on slot is its fairly normal, its part of the game to lose but trick is to win more then you lose and thats how you get ahead overall.  Easier said then done, but anyone going into playing slots not accepting they will be losing maybe some maybe in majority that day is going to be blindsided by reality.    I try to outplay, outlast the losing cycle of any session and get into the wins enough that I can come out ahead of where I started, thats my simple plan.  When Im ahead I usually stop not that long after to bank the days gains.   Then I start all over and try again the next day Smiley

GT ticket gained from just the email spin is lottery winning type odds of unlikelihood.   Thats some great luck you should be grateful for.  As I understand it the gold tickets odds were not adjusted up or down, they just stayed the same which was they were always unlikely it was only ever the 50 500 5000 rewards that got altered to more unlikely.   So its always been rare, I believe since the start I may have got a ticket this way but I might just be dreaming that :p
I gave up looking at BTC price and thinking where next long ago. It goes where it goes, we wager and freeroll down the highway Smiley

It doesnt matter a ton but I was right enough of using up any spare spins, we seeing BTC price make moves today.  Very good action, now we're ahead of last 50 days average thats something new and just in time for those who bet the end of month price.   Can it last and actually stick so people outside of the favorite bet (and lowest odds) win their guess this month.
1385  Economy / Economics / Re: Diversification in Global reserves. on: September 27, 2023, 11:56:27 PM
Its already true to some extent crypto is held as some store of currency but in reserve terms only 1 or 2 central banks maybe have crypto.   The most famous is El Salvador, maybe if they are successful in their policy it will be there after a dozen or more and we can see it develop into something.  At present the value held is by the people, mostly those who wish to have some reference to global currency which they lack in their national currency.
1386  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - what are we expecting for the rest of 2023? on: September 27, 2023, 08:58:42 PM
I think sideways, continue as you were.   26111 is the current level I need price to hold as we are continually backing off from the highs but also multiple attempts to move upwards.
If I look for a clearer sign I would respect the higher time frames, peak prices are also in line with 50 day average.  So ideally I'm looking for that ceiling to break and our range to be something new not a repeat.    If all of that is true and 50 day average remains at our feet not above our heads I can believe in positive trending action for BTC in the remainder of this year.
1387  Economy / Economics / Re: X (formerly Twitter) may be telling people like me to exit the platform on: September 27, 2023, 05:27:01 AM
I give him a little more credit then that premise, I want to be a dictator.  The price was 40bn and presumably forcing people to agree with him is not going to work out on any timescale, do I really believe he thinks otherwise; I do not.    I cant see why he has bothered especially but now he is stuck with the hot potato he ordered, I imagine he does try to improve some factors and sell it on which is a feasible plan.   Even with regrets he could make a profit or break even, compared to Tesla he is wasting his time the moneyarty premium the market gives TSLA is gigantic they think he is a king.
Heres the first positive take I've seen on his administration and ultimately could be a big deal if somehow it is empowering to the crowd in any fair way.  I dont know how its balanced but evidently people love 'Community notes' as a feature: https://youtu.be/2HIrJGjvuFY?t=108
1388  Economy / Economics / Re: Has everyone become too pesimistic about the economy? on: September 27, 2023, 12:05:25 AM
The economy by itself is fine, the problem might be the burden from governments and those who are in power and able to do large amount of destructive acts like starting wars.   The various negatives from violent groups seizing power is nothing to do with economy, its the burden of people attacking others.   The destruction from government comes partly from government requiring so much debt and tax burden upon those actively working positively in an economy.  Government might arrange infrastructure spending and some suppose government is a positive but its only directing the power of those working in a capitalist economy usually, having the power to force others is not a positive by itself.   Thats the danger and growing threat I worry about, always we need a balance to these negatives in order that people who work are able to gain from doing so otherwise we might go backwards and people retreat from their honest endeavors.
1389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: September 26, 2023, 11:38:13 PM
We gambled when I was a kid, right from a young age but it was not really perhaps as serious as it might be today.  We gambled for like marbles and other things not really worth anything, it was no more serious then a game of football might be where the winner get the bag of sweets or whatever.   Now you have kids in general growing up with the power of technology at their fingertips which could be dangerous I suppose, something as innocuous as instragram can be a negative for distorting the self perception children have.  So I'm not sure its a gambling danger per say but the wider problem of being so interlinked to a global world, it introduces alot of dangers of everything immediately available and even adults must be careful so its a general danger.   I wouldnt give a smart phone to a child personally but its hard to do any different to what most do.
1390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: September 25, 2023, 06:17:11 PM
In a maths view perhaps with a lottery it could make sense to collect numbers.   On the basis of knowing which number combinations remain unused will increase the payout.   Like anything if your reward goes up for the same money risked, this is a better rate of return a superior yield.   Anytime you can do a bit of maths, deploy some statistics and probability to earn a few extra bucks its worth doing.
Ideally a computer would manage all this, just going person to person is not feasible by itself but maths 'genius' have deployed such ideas in the past to a profit, unbelievable but true Smiley
1391  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollercoasters have zero velocity on: September 25, 2023, 05:57:55 PM
I spent half a bitcoin on a second hand monitor back in the day, I was stuck on a old CRT and so it made sense for my eyesight at the time somehow Cheesy   If nobody had used BTC back then we'd not be here now, thats all I can say to cover my missing Lambo Tongue
I did roll all my spins recently, all gone for now.  We've come down a bit the reward went up a bit, most usual is the BTC price action wants to repeat its range back up again so no need to hold especially though I will look.   If we do not hold the daily lows of the last month or so then we're into a new era, a new phase most probably as it starts to negate the 2023 mostly positive move.   Majority of the time BTC is a roller-coaster, yes its all over the place but open your eyes and you end where you began full circle.
1392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: September 25, 2023, 05:42:04 PM
Professional gambling is specialist and imo most of us are not capable of being so controlled but anyone can keep a budget.   Mention professional winning in Las Vegas and you risk initiating day dream thinking in people, the path to any profit is more mundane and routine imo.
Ideally a whole month should have a budget to stop any particular day, say when you have a fight in a relationship which is normal but upsetting; a budget stops one leading to many days of losses.   If you isolate each days budget, dont expect to profit on any particular day and if using all that days money only return back to gamble the next day when you have slept and maybe are calmer.    All of these measures will help to isolate bad gambling behaviour and irrational reactive losses, I never even enjoy this type of loss anyway so why would we do it to ourselves.
1393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: September 25, 2023, 05:31:46 PM
Like any addiction its possible for the stream of consciousness during a day, what motivates you to continue doing your job the difficult things in life; all that can be disrupted.   I would argue none of this occurs by gambling cause alone, underlying causes that push a person into a negative bias is what I would mostly blame.  Depression or grief from loss of a loved one is perfectly normal behaviour and thats all it takes to de-stabilize someone enough to develop some kind of addiction imo.  The worst addictions are physical like drinking but also uncontrolled gambling would be a large negative imo its important to keep a fixed budget weeks ahead of time for this reason, avoiding upset.  Ideally people are helped as much as possible and consoled by a professional where possible.
1394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: September 25, 2023, 05:04:17 PM
The reason for the electoral college being arranged in a particular way is to do with the original union of the states, with many states lacking a larger population but contributing a large land mass and productive capacity.   USA has world class resources and independence that not many countries can boast from oil to farm land its all important.   To alter any of that is not as simple as it appears as it would require to allow states to vote on the new terms, more upset is really justified considering its worked for so long now.
1395  Economy / Economics / Re: On Apple's $200 billion dump and US shooting itself in the foot on: September 24, 2023, 11:56:10 PM
Dedollarisation was spoken about in the 80's, people had various ideas for alternatives.  Yet it survived then, rates went to 15% at one point and have declined alot since then generally though the recent rise appears big is nothing compared to what they had to do previously to turn around Dollar.
People point out now the national debt is far too much to carry the burden of higher rates and its unlikely the debt can be repaid any time soon to reduce the cost of that debt load hence a possible melt down in Dollar value.  We dont know that happens but alot of factors point to that outcome occurring.

dreaming wrong dreams

Alot of western economies became too dependent on production elsewhere,  too much service industry not able to innovate is a possible problem many  are concerned on that.   We import that production and capability from elsewhere, its obviously a vulnerability.
1396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How will you feel if it happens to you just like this? on: September 24, 2023, 10:53:04 PM
Always put down a placer bet to avoid regrets, not for the money but for the kudos on winning your bet simple things.  Play at least a little for the joy knowing you are right on a bet especially the sportsbets obviously thats cool because knowledge and prediction there is such a large thing.
Regret and emotional tilt is to be avoided for possible losses it can open up the possibility of in future bets, better to stay level longterm.
1397  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Simple Reason Why Bitcoin and Crypto Prices Must Fall to Zero on: September 24, 2023, 09:27:00 PM
Its not nonsense argument its just not correct, I've heard a few of these points before and they are quite mainstream and believed  by a few people as correct reasoning to be anti crypto.

Hence the inflation of cryptocurrencies - there are more than 20K of them.

This one I heard before, all crypto is equal and whatever value is in BTC can instantly be repeated elsewhere.  Primarily because its open source, its kinda a fair point that we do not retain copyright and some people thought this to be a fatal mistake in a capitalistic world.   However BTC is not easy to replicate definitely not out of nowhere, we already have this discussion in a massive way with the blockchain split.     BTC defeated its former backers attempts to replicate and their divergence in the code protocol:

These arent new and are not especially threat because ironically BTC is unique.  Despite no copyright and many other apparent negatives on retention of value BTC is not easily acquired or replaced by other means.  BTC is unique and hence has a specific value, we can argue over price but its not zero.   As soon as OP is true we'll see it more obviously, market tests pricing and demand for BTC everyday.
1398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a gambler do you have a potential winning amount limit? on: September 24, 2023, 09:19:43 PM
I think money management is the most important factor, luck we cannot control but choosing not to overbet during a losing cycle is important to last in your gambling session until a series of wins will return the profit wanted.    If you dont choose the right bet size and run out of money with bad luck then it lose you the opportunity to see the good luck, you wont be playing any more.   I think too many people are impatient and lose grasp of the game, the game plays them :p
1399  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Elon Musk keep what he said or not? on: September 23, 2023, 11:59:42 PM
Elon doesnt matter, he is just one guy.   Always was true, the Bitcoin effect is not one person and I dont think he is pivotal.  Nothing to do with liking or disliking him, even when BTC was doing very well and he was helping its hype perhaps I'd still have said the same.  It dont matter, we are hoping BTC is part of the world from the smallest people to the largest perhaps but its really only about the general dynamics true.  If he doesnt see its of any benefit thats his own problem to handle, love to hear he has ideas and innovation but I never really read anything interesting in that respect.
1400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Gambling to the society on: September 23, 2023, 11:50:22 PM
this is a good topic for discussion. in my country, many sites that are related to gambling are very closely related to charity; they buy ambulances and also help hospitals, this is a good deed. It is good when companies have a profit and are ready to share it at the level of government assistance.

Its potentially true in every country, gambling is often vital revenue to the government.  Thats not charity but governments often carry out essential services, in a recession the government can go broke or forced to suspend any investment and support to society if it were not for industry where revenue and profits are so reliable they pay out every year.
We know the odds on gambling mean sometimes winners take more then losers will give on a day, that is the casino is losing or giving away money on that day.  However overall its a very reliable revenue stream which means its beneficial and outside the normal economic cycle and that contagious recession and failure that can occur.
