It's better to sweep than to import but I just tried to copy an encrypted private key into Electrum and the sweep button is still greyed out, so I'm guessing BIP38 is not supported. You should however be able to sweep encrypted PKs on Exodus but it's not the type of wallet I'd recommend for storing large amounts.

I just noticed that CoinOS (an open-source web-based lightning wallet) has launched its own point-of-sale app. They don't require any identity verification, and there's only a 0.1% fee if you want to send your funds from LN to on-chain. You can't accept BTC directly though, only LN is supported.
|
|
|
For OKX, you can also withdraw using the lightning network. The minimum amount you can withdraw is 0.000001 BTC (100 satoshis) and the fee is 10 satoshis.

Yes, you can use the testnet instead of the mainnet. I suggest going with a lightweight wallet like Electrum. Here's a guide on how to do it[1], you can ignore the steps after the screenshot. You can use the testnet faucets at the bottom of the article to claim some free (testnet) bitcoin to play around with. [1] https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5393289.0

1. Not if the transaction has been confirmed, no.
2. If you send it using RBF (Replace-by-fee) then yes, you can increase the fees. Not all wallets support this feature though.

We all appreciate open source wallets, they are the best around but have we ever thought that being closed source is security?
There should be nothing (serious).to target if everything is stored on the user's device locally. If I remember correctly, they were afraid people would create similar copies of the wallet (same design) and add malicious code to it...which by the way, is something that scammers still do.

I cant enter into "Seed", it doesnt let me
Then you're not using a standard wallet. Is it a watch-only wallet by any chance? (it should show in the window's title) If so, there's no way to access your funds unless you have the original wallet file + password stored somewhere else.
|
|
|
Open Electrum, go to menu -> wallet -> seed (as shown below). Type your password, and it should show. If you don't have the password either, there's no way to access your funds.

Import: You're moving the same address/private key from one device to another (you're not making a transaction). Sweep (recommended): You're basically sending the funds from the old address/private key to a new one.

This has been discussed a lot of times in here so...
You basically have PrepaidDigitalSolutions which I'm not sure where you can still get with bitcoin, ever since coinsbee decided to stop selling them... They also have a lot of bad reviews on trustpilot..
Alternatively, there's EzzoCard. I haven't tried them myself so I can't give my feedback but they seem to be very expensive.
If the service you want to buy doesn't have any gift cards you can buy from Bitrefill, and you're not going to be buying on a regular basis... I would just suggest looking for someone in the services board, to buy on your behalf in exchange for bitcoin (+ fee).

I have already deposited 400 more dollars because they said that is how they verify the external wallet. yet i missed the 1% fee and need to deposit more funds in order to be verified. Is this a real thing that needs to be done in some cases or am I being scammed. Can I get my money back that I have deposited somehow?
As mentioned above, it's a scam. If the transaction is already verified, there's sadly nothing you can do to get your funds back and you should obviously not send more funds. Do you mind telling us how you came across this site though? It barely has any online presence.

I appreciate everyone's response. I tried some of the suggestions given, but nothing really worked. I simply kept retrying and the problem fixed itself today apparently.
