1381  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Importing an encrypted paper wallet on: September 29, 2022, 02:06:49 PM
It's better to sweep than to import but I just tried to copy an encrypted private key into Electrum and the sweep button is still greyed out, so I'm guessing BIP38 is not supported. You should however be able to sweep encrypted PKs on Exodus but it's not the type of wallet I'd recommend for storing large amounts.
1382  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [Discussion] Taro: A new protocol for multi-asset Bitcoin and Lightning on: September 28, 2022, 04:05:00 PM
The alpha release of the Taro daemon is officially here[1][2] and It should now be possible for developers to experiment with it on the bitcoin testnet.

You can use Coinbase if you're from the U.S[1] otherwise your best best would be to use P2P platform like Paxful.

1385  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [List] Bitcoin Payment Processors on: September 28, 2022, 02:16:43 PM
I just noticed that CoinOS (an open-source web-based lightning wallet) has launched its own point-of-sale app. They don't require any identity verification, and there's only a 0.1% fee if you want to send your funds from LN to on-chain. You can't accept BTC directly though, only LN is supported.
1386  Other / Archival / Re: Current list of exchanges without KYC on: September 28, 2022, 01:36:00 PM
For OKX, you can also withdraw using the lightning network. The minimum amount you can withdraw is 0.000001 BTC (100 satoshis) and the fee is 10 satoshis.
1387  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: BTC demo wallet exists? on: September 27, 2022, 04:44:17 PM
Yes, you can use the testnet instead of the mainnet.

I suggest going with a lightweight wallet like Electrum. Here's a guide on how to do it[1], you can ignore the steps after the screenshot.

You can use the testnet faucets at the bottom of the article to claim some free (testnet) bitcoin to play around with.

1388  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Questions from a new crypto user on: September 27, 2022, 04:30:13 PM
1. Not if the transaction has been confirmed, no.

2. If you send it using RBF (Replace-by-fee) then yes, you can increase the fees. Not all wallets support this feature though.
1389  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Open source wallet and closed source wallet discussion on: September 26, 2022, 05:31:05 PM
We all appreciate open source wallets, they are the best around but have we ever thought that being closed source is security?

There should be nothing (serious).to target if everything is stored on the user's device locally. If I remember correctly, they were afraid people would create similar copies of the wallet (same design) and add malicious code to it...which by the way, is something that scammers still do.
1390  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: Binance تفتح فرع في لبنان on: September 26, 2022, 01:49:38 PM

1392  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Where to see the seed on: September 23, 2022, 10:58:40 AM
I cant enter into "Seed", it doesnt let me

Then you're not using a standard wallet. Is it a watch-only wallet by any chance? (it should show in the window's title) If so, there's no way to access your funds unless you have the original wallet file + password stored somewhere else.
1393  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Where to see the seed on: September 23, 2022, 10:47:25 AM
Open Electrum, go to menu -> wallet -> seed (as shown below). Type your password, and it should show. If you don't have the password either, there's no way to access your funds.

1394  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: How to transfer wallet from one computer to another without transaction? on: September 23, 2022, 08:08:07 AM
Import: You're moving the same address/private key from one device to another (you're not making a transaction).
Sweep (recommended): You're basically sending the funds from the old address/private key to a new one.
1396  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: How to transfer wallet from one computer to another without transaction? on: September 23, 2022, 07:26:43 AM
You can't just move the wallet file because Electrum and Bitcoin core don't have the same file format.

Since you're going to be using a new computer, don't you think it would be best to sweep the private key to a new wallet[1] (after exporting it from bitcoin core[2]) instead of importing the old private key?

You won't need to connect your old device to the internet.

1397  Economy / Exchanges / Re: No KYC Debit card 2022? on: September 21, 2022, 06:40:43 PM
This has been discussed a lot of times in here so...

You basically have PrepaidDigitalSolutions which I'm not sure where you can still get with bitcoin, ever since coinsbee decided to stop selling them...
They also have a lot of bad reviews on trustpilot..

Alternatively, there's EzzoCard. I haven't tried them myself so I can't give my feedback but they seem to be very expensive.

If the service you want to buy doesn't have any gift cards you can buy from Bitrefill, and you're not going to be buying on a regular basis... I would just suggest looking for someone in the services board, to buy on your behalf in exchange for bitcoin (+ fee).
1398  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GINOXE.COM on: September 21, 2022, 10:20:29 AM
I have already deposited 400 more dollars because they said that is how they verify the external wallet. yet i missed the 1% fee and need to deposit more funds in order to be verified. Is this a real thing that needs to be done in some cases or am I being scammed. Can I get my money back that I have deposited somehow?

As mentioned above, it's a scam. If the transaction is already verified, there's sadly nothing you can do to get your funds back and you should obviously not send more funds.

Do you mind telling us how you came across this site though? It barely has any online presence.

1399  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: البيتكوين في الامارات on: September 21, 2022, 08:17:09 AM

I appreciate everyone's response. I tried some of the suggestions given, but nothing really worked. I simply kept retrying and the problem fixed itself today apparently.
