1381  Economy / Economics / Re: New Year - The crypto economics on: January 01, 2022, 05:14:19 PM
I am trying to be optimistic about this New Year 2022 about cryptocurrencies. Right now, we are witnessing advertisements in television from live broadcast of sports, dramas, comedies, and so on. We didn't have that before and I think that's a big leap for the industry to grow. People will now try to gain knowledge about it and maybe try to be a part of it by investing.
My economy. I didn't have a problem in the financial part but this pandemic made a dent in my savings. Suddenly, there are emergencies and some food that I can get myself before needs to be delivered and that means extra pay.
My goal this year is to fix that dent and if by any chance get lucky add more to it, preparing if something almost the same happens again.
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The moment of truth on: January 01, 2022, 02:04:00 PM
Moment of truth? You mean if this goes sideways then there's no good future anymore?
I'd like to disagree with just one chance only. The future is unknown when it comes to cryptocurrencies and I always believed and hoped there would be one project that would suffice the needs of everyone just like what Satoshi is aiming for. Not for self interest only which we are witnessing nowadays.
It's a long year, it will be, and this is just the start of it. Not the only moment.
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 01, 2022, 11:19:55 AM
Lakers gave us a nice new year gift last night.  Grin  I mean especially Lebron did it. Because in the game they completely destroyed Portland by 139-106, Lebron showed a superb performance with 43 points and 14 rebounds. Westbrook got a 50% field goal success but he still didn't score many points. He still managed to make a triple-double with 15 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists. And Lillard's poor performance played an important role in this loss also. He was able to score only 18 points. He was performing double this performance in his previous recent games.

Not only in this game, but Lebron has been playing high level basketball and has been scoring like 30 points ++ in his last couple of games and it's good that at least they have won and break their slump because you don't know what's going to happen with the team. They have traded Rondo already and probably there could be more trades in the future. Forget about Westbrook scoring, he is padding his stats with triple double everything.
Indeed he is. The competitive drive of him is back. I think what happened at the start of this roster was he expected too much from his new team mates who are really good players. But that should not be the case and he realized it. Fortunately, the realization came as early as possible or it may ruin their chance for a playoffs if he keeps on relying on them. He is the leader of that team and all should start from him while his teammates will surely follow him afterward.
Look at Melo now, 4/7 at the far line contributing 16 points to win against the Trail Blazers. That's because they are now busy defending Lebron giving him more Melo more space to shoot.
1384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I know legit and scam investment? on: December 31, 2021, 12:18:02 PM
My experience is I don't know if I should line them up with other scams. Most of my investments before didn't hit the soft cap so they need to stop their campaign and closing all the connections from presale buyers. Maybe it's a scam or maybe they just also want their money back. I don't know. Maybe I am a little soft about it.
So how could you tell. First, the true scammers are obvious especially those who don't really know what they are doing. But, those who knows how to manipulate people and to look like they are legitimate business, you cannot tell. Check the team behind it. That's what I always do first.
The project. Is it to good to be true? Their offers on early birds. Are they giving away too much bonus? Good luck.
1385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: December 31, 2021, 08:46:52 AM
I watched one episode of Trevor Noah talking about the gambling industry in the USA 2020. It was said in the news that it grew exponentially and more states are accepting the gambling industry with open hands.
$6.8B worth of bets and that report was on 2020. How far could it be now when you add the boring life given by Covid-19 to the people.
New Yorkers who are not allowed to bet that time using an application which I will not mention will ride a train to New Jersey just to put their bets then back to their place. That's how far they would go for it.
I think they already made the next big move. Smartphone application to make it accessible to anyone.
1386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best coin to farm right now on: December 31, 2021, 07:31:33 AM
I have never been absorbed by this kind of method since it's almost the same as what happened before. High yield investment programs. Like a combined staking and HYIP. But, some investors are good at this especially if they used the right research for the coin that they are farming.
Support is also a point to consider. Trusted exchange like Binance do support this kind of method but don't forget to double check as there maybe ToA about Binance not being responsible for any losses.

Another game was postponed and it adds to the long list. Wishing this will stop using the 10 day contract sign up.

They will still play those games but schedules are unknown yet, as they just want to follow whatever is written in the schedule given to each team. I think they will insert it before the play-in tournament. Who knows if those games will save teams from being knocked out in the playoffs.
1388  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital asset is for holding on: December 30, 2021, 09:38:21 AM
Easy to say, difficult to achieve.
When one is updated with the current events about cryptocurrencies, holding it needs a lot of restraint. I started during 3 digits of Bitcoin and I won't be a hypocrite to say I didn't sell some because I did. When you see something is profitable, the urge is there to sell it especially when you are in need.
Even for those who can afford their daily needs that urgency to sell is a big test. If you want to buy something like for hobbies or new clothing then who will stop you from taking what you feel is your own achievement.
But yes, years ago I learned the lesson and I want to witness if I am not late for that.
1389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about Dev Wallet Checker/Rug Check on PooCoin on: December 30, 2021, 07:13:27 AM
New or not, how will they do it? I bet no one will pay them by doing such hard work.
But if the project listed on them will be the ones to be judged then, its a good feature to make. A "rugpull" is not something you could predict. It just happens. Only an idiot developer will put signs that he will do a rug pull in the future. They will make it as good as possible, as sweet as they can to avoid flags of being a scammer. This is not different from what scammers did during the ICO.
1390  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It is possible to make a profit by trading on: December 30, 2021, 04:12:10 AM
You bought something at P2P and was not given yet? I dont understand that part of your sentence OP.
Yes, perhaps thats the benefit of an exchange, assurance that the coin will be given to you at the right time without the doubt of being scammed as long as it is a trusted exchange.
About profit in trading though, its always up to the one who controls it. If you know what you are doing then profits will surely come.
1391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 30, 2021, 02:00:18 AM
That's one thing I thought about when I first heard about LeBron and Russ pairing up.  LeBron gets noticeably frustrated with teammates who make mistakes, especially during crunch time.  Russ is sort of erratic and has a habit of making mistakes.  The below clip illustrates this perfectly as Russell Westbrook dribbles the ball off his own foot and out of bounds during a simple dribbling up the court play...  You can see LeBron's body language that he is frustrated.  This is not a good environment for Russ...  I think Lillard would have made a much better pairing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imhMPF41FCE
They have the same habit of frustration whenever their team mates makes an error. Russ was also like that back at OKC and a lot of times it was Adams being scolded.
While Lebron does the same, they also have the issues of team mates should be ignoring it if they are the one who makes the error.
Truly, they cannot be paired because of their same bad habit or the Lakers team will explode and all of them will be affected by it.
1392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best 2021 shittoken on BNB on: December 29, 2021, 08:21:52 AM
Voted for BoringCoin because it just sounds boring.  Grin

Jokes aside, it's not 99.9 percent. There are legit coins in BNB and you will just need to be wise about it. Buy and sell. Don't hold it. It's not freaking Bitcoin for crying out loud.
I have seen stories of my dear friends about gaining profits in the said chain but there are also losses. You cannot find a perfect method because everything has its risk. Ride the wave, play with them but don't go too near in the fire that may burn you.
1393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7 NFL Players Who Chose Crypto over Cash on: December 28, 2021, 03:27:17 PM
Expected. But that's just 7 out of how many? Tom Brady has his purpose but if he can pull more NFL players into doing such a wild thing (for them) then it will all be good. Because next to it will be the fans who doesn't know about Bitcoin and will try to google what is it.
Some NBA players also did the same so I guess we will just need to wait for this to grow in numbers as time flies by. Good news, indeed.
1394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Animal racing on: December 28, 2021, 02:56:08 PM
I've never been a fan of this types of gambling games. Using animals to compete with another species or the same one.
I know horse racing but even before it didn't give me the fun to see a horse being lashed by the racer just to speed it up. But perhaps this could be normal in rural places where people don't use internet or do not have the knowledge about card games. I may agree with what they will do but if it someone who has knowledge about other gambling games and has access to it, why choose animal races or fights?
A good options is near you so just use that kind of method to gamble yourself away.
1395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 28, 2021, 12:47:44 PM
These guys are finally back and they score big time vs Atlanta Hawks, they are winning some games again and building their new winning streaks. If they continue such games, they have a chance to regain back the top 1 in the eastern conference from the Nets again. It would be awesome to see them play against the Nets on January 13, I hope they won't postpone it.
I didn't know Trae Young was also back and it became a battle of offense with him finishing at 29 points. Total score was 248.  Shocked
But those monster duo or we could add the other one that makes them a trio beast of the Chicago Bulls. Nikola Vucevic. 24 points 17 rebounds.
Why do I feel like Vucevic found his home with the Bulls? He's enjoying the company of those two offensive players and his contribution went up compared to how he played with the Magic.
1396  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Kucoin vs FTX...which one do you recommend? on: December 28, 2021, 10:42:38 AM
I think FTX is not as safe as Kucoin
Trust rating, Kucoin is an old exchange so yeah, that will be my pick. It's in my second best exchange list because I never had a problem with them.
Regarding FTX, it's the first time I heard about it and that will be a problem because he is comparing it with one of the trusted exchange. It may have a better feature now because of being new but I'll stay with something I trust more to avoid future problems.
Binance is still my number 1 though as long as my altcoins are listed in it and also never had an issue about anything.
1397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of the NFTs on: December 28, 2021, 03:54:12 AM
A new wave will definitely come, no doubt. There will always be new things that will be discovered and they will try to trend it as much as they can.
But right now, it is still the time of NFT's and I do believe this will be for another 2-3 years before ideas will be depleted. NFT based games will surely take long especially if they are MMORPG's.
I mean, look at Axie Infinity. It's not even the best type when you look at their graphics but they can afford to make it as a long term investment with just new features and updates.
1398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 27, 2021, 04:59:05 PM
Spurs on their way to 8th seed by the looks of it, three wins in a row! That's great to see from them, I expected them to be better by next year but they are showing how they are still good even this year. I know that most people talk about the top teams and how they are good and when I talk about the 10th team in west as good some of you may feel weird.

However, as a person who had a chance of 20 years in a row dominant team, having a team that is not dominant at all was a weird feeling of love. I mean we never really had to say "I was a fan during bad days too", even Lakers fans had that but Spurs never had it until a few years ago when Kawhi left. On contrast, Lakers look like they are closer to 10th seed nowadays Cheesy. I mean not to be happy about it but I would say I rather see Spurs in playoffs than Lakers if that's what we got.
I have a friend who is just like you. Big fan of the Spurs, knows everything about their history and a fan in good and bad times up until now. There's not a lot of people who does that with all the bandwagons switching from different team because of their new found strength. That's cool of you.

The way to the 5th seed is not even far. Clippers with 17 wins only and they will be losing more games because of PG13's injury. Hanging to that spot will not be easy for them. If the Spurs can keep a healthy roster avoiding the health and safety protocol 10 day quarantine then the streak will keep on.
They are not a bad team and there's one other time they made a good streak defeating Celtics, Wizards, Trail Blazers, and the Warriors.
1399  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans overestimate social mobility in their country on: December 27, 2021, 04:23:18 PM
IMO, it depends on each person individually.
Think about having a lifestyle of a third world country spending just above $100 then you will be working in NY, LA or Europe. If you won't change the lifestyle as you did back when you are at home then definitely a millionaire will be born.
That's the problem I see from those who migrate in a different country. They try to be equal to their lifestyle or mimic what they see on people near them and forgets where they came from or what they eat and drink.
Jobs given will try to equal the living expenses in one place to afford everything but if you are used to cheaper lifestyle then you will be saving a lot of money.
1400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any life changing coin for 2022? What is your perspective? on: December 27, 2021, 02:30:32 PM
This is the hardest part of all, to be precise at looking for the coin that will change your life.
First, most of them are being known when the hype comes. That means, you are also late to ride the train.
Second, the fear of buying that coin when it was being shilled all over places like social media and forums. We mostly see this as a negative way of advertising and so we don't buy it.
Finally, its our past that made us doubt buying them. Specifically, ICO investors. Getting old in this industry means learning from those mistakes and that means going for less risky coins.
