141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: August 17, 2023, 09:05:18 PM
How big it is ? I don't think we can measure how much the gambling industry is worth today but we can say for sure that they are everywhere , in every sport , in every team. This boom happened since 2015 when a lot of bookies have been founded and since then , I don't remember any big casino or sport bookies who had financial problems or any similarities with this.

Lately , we can see more and more esports teams being sponsored by betting houses but this will help the esports industry grow a bit more faster even if a lot of esports fans are not pleased.
It's quite clear that it has become significantly big, particularly over the past couple of years. The growth has been insane especially with the start of online gambling sites accepting crypto. As you mentioned, It's very obvious how sports teams sponsor these gambling sites. Whether it's football or basketball ..etc, these sponsorships are visible on TV. Even in esports, you can notice that teams are sponsored by betting houses as you mentioned earlier as well.

So I think this industry is already very big and imho It'll grow much more in the next few years.

The innovation of the latest technology has made the gambling industry bigger because many people are now into it and more are still getting into gambling daily. We can even measure it since we can't count the number of users easily since more gamblers are now into crypto and online gambling which is untrackable.
In our country, gambling was just known silently or specifically through local sweepstakes and other traditional games but nowadays, more local online gambling games are even existing so I could say that the gambling industry is really increasing in our country. I'm not sure if it's a good development as lots of people are even falling into gambling addiction here but I believe that the gambling industry will still continue to grow in the future.
142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you will do? on: August 17, 2023, 08:06:46 PM
This happened to be multiple times, I didn't feel bored but rather hopeless because I have been having lose streak no matter what strategies I would apply so I decided to stop for a while because I might only be needing enough time to rest and try to analyze my wrong moves.
Well, I stopped for a while but I didn't totally quit. I've just used that rest to manage the risks and to find out the wrong moves and decisions that I do.
I've lessened my gambling expences and just handled my emotions wisely because it also has a huge effect on my gambling journey. It's fine to take a break so we could notice if we're already exceeding our limits.
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dreaming That I'm Playing In A Casino, Do You Have One, on: August 17, 2023, 03:01:10 PM

As many people have said, if someone pays attention to things too much with their team, he or she will start having imaginations about doing things, so I may say that maybe because you do play casino or you think much about it often, that is why that imagination is coming to you when you sleep. I have also experienced that many things that I played bet on and won, sometimes in different forms. But I cannot also deny that it is not a dream because a dream can come in any way, but it may carry another meaning according to religion.

I agree, based on my experience, you will dream of anything that you have been thinking of or imagining before going to bed. Our dreams sometimes have a connection with our thoughts. However, if you're trying to stop gambling for a while, you better ignore that kind of dream because sometimes, dreaming that you're still doing gambling is a sign that you're really hooked on it and you have been doing it for long hours.
It simply means that you really need to take a break or stop for a while and keep yourself away from anything that would tempt you to gamble more. Temptations could be everywhere and if you know for yourself that you're gambling too much without proper control then you better know what to avoid.
However, some dreams are meaningless, but they could also be a sign for you to make the right decisions the next day. You could have it as a motivation to quit rather than seeing it as a temptation.
144  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: We're all the same! on: August 16, 2023, 08:32:33 PM
1️⃣. Greed, lack of knowledge and patience. They just want "easy money". We do not intend to wait for the "market to give". Everyone wants a lot in the moment. As a rule, they are always super poor (crazy. displays of who a person is in real life).
Sure, people have greed. But, the way people manage and minimize the risk of greed taking over their decision is different for each trader. Some people would need to completely limit their trading so they wouldn't get too overconfident and only need to trade what they are capable of in the first place, but for some people that they can control the greed then it would make a greed as their motivation to gain more but of course with limitation as well. Once you have set your limit, then I think you are already in a good spot.

Most of people human's nature are basically the same but each person has different trait that makes it unique to handle some circumstances.

If we know how to deal with our greed and manage the risk at the same time, we will be able to hit the profit that we want but we shouldn't be overconfident all the time as the volatility of the market is mostly hard to deal with so we have to be careful with our actions and decisions.
If we are struggling controlling our greed, we better set a certain amount for trading and as much as possible, discipline ourselves so we won't take wrong trading moves. If we're having a losing streak in trading, we better check our mistakes and see what we have done wrong so we can analyze how to correct it the next trading activity. Also, we shouldn't stop learning and try applying specific strategies that will help us earn better.
145  Economy / Economics / Re: It ain't meant to be easy on: August 16, 2023, 07:41:53 PM
Good points. Achievements are not easy to get, that is the reason why they are called achievements because you work hard to achieve them. Your goals in life are achievements that you need to work for constantly until you finally achieve them. Some people manage to get everything without doing anything, and that raises the question that whether achieving everything you want and wish for is only dependent on hard work or whether you also need luck for that.

Destiny does play its role, that's for sure, but that doesn't mean that one should just sit back and say I will let my destiny play out since I won't get anything if I'm not destined to get it, but that isn't true, hard work and prayers can actually make one's destiny changed, so it's always about hard work and dedication.

You are the product of your past decisions. We create our own destiny and future by acting upon those. It's not about where are you at now in your life, or how many bitcoins are you currently holding. It's all about how are you working hard towards your goals. And for most of us, the end goal is to give back to people and help. However, we cannot help anyone if we don't help ourselves first.

As much as there is nothing free in this world, all of those things that we want must be worked hard first.

We cannot achieve anything without effort. If we make an effort, we must raise the quality of our effort. Every day should be better than the day before. We must first improve ourselves and then be useful to our family and environment. Nothing is easy. Seeing people around me striving to achieve some of their goals motivates me. I also try to make good things happen. Lots of people here are also trying.

We must gain our economic freedom and positively affect our environment in this sense. Of course there is destiny. We are the ones who determine the direction of our destiny. Our choices and efforts lead us to where we want to be.

We can't get everything we want instantly without exerting an effort. Everything has to be worked hard for. We will go through a lot before achieving what we want but it will all be worth it. Hard work always pays off so we need to double our effort to achieve what we want. There's no shortcut to everything.
We might say that we were born poor or we were born without too much opportunities but it is us who could change our fate. We can always make things better no matter how hard life is.
Life is what we make it and we can't just always complain about it if we aren't doing something to make our lives better.
146  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 16, 2023, 06:49:22 PM
There is no wrong if you hide your gambling habit in front of other people. The society today also look gambling as a taboo and thinks it only destroy a people. Yes Gambling addiction can be bad, but if a person is trying hard to earn some extra income through gambling for his family, then no harm is there. The people and the society thinks gambling is not noble work. So we cannot change the people, and hence people like to keep it as a secret, their gambling habit.
It's not wrong if you know to your self that you are still responsible or you don't over gamble but if you are like this then why would you be afraid to let others know about your gambling hobby? Gambling can be a taboo on some selected place or religion while there are also religions and place who allow it but there are still people who think it's bad.

I think it's because this is what they hear from others or they themselves had a bad experience with it. The truth is gambling is not bad as long as we are doing limiting ourselves and we gamble according to its true purpose. Gambling addiction on the other hand is bad and treating gambling as a primary source of income is also bad.

Gambling doesn't make you a bad person especially if you're responsible in dealing with its risks. People will always say negative things about gambling because they all have personal views about it specifically those who aren't fully aware of how if really works but I don't think their opinion really matters.

If you are a sensitive person and won't be able to deal with the negative opinions that you might hear, then better keep it a secret so you could gamble freely and happily. What important is, you know for yourself that you are doing it responsibly and you are managing your finances in silence. Just reach success silently and just enjoy what you're doing.
147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a gambler do you have a potential winning amount limit? on: August 16, 2023, 06:29:07 PM
The only thing the only way we can really leave and forget about gambling is to keep ourselves as busy as possible so that there is no time to play gambling," But I am unable to do this.
If you find yourself coming back to gambling after you have left it, it means the person is an addict. Although the reason that most people are stocked in playing gamble is because of multiplier effect that they wish even though some argue that they are gambling for fun but many people too have disagreed to that also. Most people who gamble are people who are less busy and seeking for job so it is a remedy to set a gambler with a job and their rate of gambling will definitely reduce
Average gamblers always have some job, they don't just gamble when they have nothing but they earn an income and use a small portion of that for their gambling activities, but addicted gamblers don't work, or I should say they can't work because their focus is on gambling all the time. When they have money, they keep gambling, and when they get out of money, they keep thinking of ways how they can get more money so that they can gamble more.

So when it comes to work or job, addicted gamblers are basically too lazy to do that and they want to get money from gambling and use that money for their daily expenses which is basically not possible because you can't keep getting profits from gambling and you will lose more than you will win.

People who rely on gambling and are really addicted to it could also have a job but the problem is they can't manage their finances wisely because they don't have gambling limits. Most of their assets and income are allocated to gambling.
As for me, it is important that we put gambling limits to manage our finances wisely no matter how big or small our winnings are. Once we reach our limit, we should stop and control our urges or else, we could end up chasing our losses. Self discipline is very important for us to have a good gambling journey.

I知 thinking to quit participating on signature campaign that involves gambling discussion in an event that my gambling activities is increasing above my normal habit.
Mate, I'd tell you this, man is the master of his fate. You are in control of what happens to you here.

Actually, I知 already involved on gambling before for more than a year. My urge to gamble more is just developing recently due to reading discussion about players winning huge amount as well as watching streamers winning jackpot price. I have money in my bank that I can use to gamble as high roller and this is what I知 afraid to happened on my life in case I fall into addiction. I知 still not on that phase but I really feel that I might turn into someday if I continue doing this.

My gambling activity is still controllable though and I知 mot losing any huge amount aside from my salary. It痴 just regretting thinking about those campaign salary that loss in gambling. But the good side is I'm enjoying in return, this makes me think twoce on my decision to take.

I was actually a regular gambler before and reading gambling discussions excite me more but as time passes by I've realized that it isn't really necessary that we'll get influenced by what we read. It is still our personal decision to control our urges and there is nothing to be blamed but us because it is our choice.

Some topics are really tempting but there are also gambling topics that always warn and remind us about the negative effects of gambling. We should still be responsible for our actions no matter what we read or what we watch.

Temptations are everywhere but we should still be strong enough not to always be influenced by stuff about gambling. It is fine to be updated but it is necessary that we'll always know our limits.
149  Economy / Economics / Re: Would You Consider Adding Bitcoin to Your Retirement Savings on: August 13, 2023, 09:07:06 PM
I'm too far from retirement age but as early as possible, I'm already saving and investing Bitcoin for the future. We have seen how Bitcoin could be profitable and we all know how it could change lives and give financial freedom in the future so as early as we can, we should grab the chance to invest on it.
It should actually be a part of our retirement plan in the future so if unexpected things happen in the future, we can still survive and we'll still have something to leave for our loved ones.
Aside from other investment, we should prioritize buying Bitcoin and must set it as part of our lifetime goals as we will benefit from it in the long run.
https://bitpinas.com/business/bdo-cbdc-digital-dollar-project/

151  Economy / Economics / Re: All millions are from real estate. on: August 13, 2023, 07:34:28 PM
One of the advantages offered in the real estate business is price growth over time. The potential for loss is very small unless the situation is not supportive, for example a war occurs. It is true that all millionaires come from this investment, because before technological advances, say E-commerce took part as a new form of investment, all owners of capital must have invested in real estate.

On the other hand investing in real estate is very safe, but this of course really depends on the region, regulations and opportunities available.

Investing in properties is a wise investment though there are still things to consider such as the quality of the location and its accessibility. Properties in good locations could easily strike a high price in just a shorter time especially in urban residences.
It might only take time and effort to generate profit as there are also documents and requirements that you need to comply with but it will all be worth the wait.
152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Passive income with crypto on: August 13, 2023, 05:55:59 PM
If you see Bitcoin was still in the bear market then it's an opportunity to hold more Bitcoins. But in my opinion, base on my analysis in the market, I consider Bitcoin as a bullish. The market volume is quite low that's why others think Bitcoin is still bearish. If we compare it before, when advancing starts, the price move to the upside drastically. Aside from that, if you want to earn passive income in crypto, I can recommend to stake your tokens but this not a guarantee that you will be profitable because even though you will get more tokens the price might decrease. So you have think it every well before you decide.

I agree with staking, if you want a passive income then staking would be the best option but you have to make sure that you're staking in a trusted and reputable coin like Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB and other top coins. There are still other ways to earn in crypto since it has a lot to opportunities to offer but it takes time and effort to learn everything about it and to deal with the risks.
You can earn from trading, investing, joining campaigns and more but you have to invest skills and knowledge to be successful in these fields as you know, earning isn't easy these days, you still have to exert and invest time and effort to succeed.
153  Economy / Economics / Re: New Research found Work from home workers to be less productive on: August 12, 2023, 09:19:20 PM
It depends on the salary though.

I mean, I wouldn't give my 100% best in my work if I'm being underpaid with a lot of workload to do every single day. But if I'm being paid correctly based of my talent, for sure I'm always going to be productive whether I'm working in the office or at home. The other thing is that, introvert people are more productive when working at home rather than working in the office.

In short, it will depend on a certain person if he'll slack off in his work wherever it is.
Well, we all work to receive good compensation. But if we are not fully compensated, a lot would prefer to leave the job instead than to work still, and end up less productive. Not just in working from home, but also in working on site. However, on the part of introvert people, if they値l stay more productive working from home, does that mean that they will be less productive if they are assigned at the office? For me, whether you池e introvert or extrovert, as long as you池e properly compensated, you should make your job impressive as well, right?

Yeah, look for other jobs instead of not being happy with the current pay. And I guess for the employers, if their WFH employees are submitting everything in a timely manner and everything looks good then there they are happy and so we can say that the employees are productive as well.

And not just in the pandemic, but even prior to that there are a lot of us here who have found WFH already. Even in the early 2000's WFH is a thing already, so if it is not productive then how come companies are allowing it before?

I agree that it all depends on the salary and the impact of the company to their employees mental health. As for me, if a person is happy with the compensation and the working environment, he will be productive especially if he's enjoying his job but if the company is lowballing their employees, unproductiveness usually exist.
I have experienced this multiple times. As per my personal observation, it is really easier and lighter to perform our best to a company that values our effort and compensate us with what we deserve. If the company knows how to value their workers and how to give them importance, they will surely give back the best performance to keep the position.
154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling scenario that keeps repeating on you on: August 12, 2023, 07:47:21 PM
If the same scenario keeps on repeating then you should know when to stop. When you reach almost three digits then stop for a while and just do it again the next day. You just have to get along with the usual movement of your activity and don't force yourself to reach a high target if you are having a hard time reaching it.
There's nothing wrong in stopping for a while pr resting if you can't hit your target profit. Sometimes our greed could make us lost everything in an instance so baby steps would still be good than rushing to reach a high profit.
155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you have any methods to do it? on: August 11, 2023, 08:36:24 PM
If you utilize huge amount of money in trading then probably you will get the huge rewards like that of 100$ but also don't forget that with greater payback you will also face greater harm.

If you have more money and you want to make good use of it then you should grab bitcoin for longer time with the help of which you can escape loss and also you will take the benefit of halving which is nearer.

In spot trading you can achieve such a huge payback for only three or four times but it will also make it possible to loss more than this after few days so always try to move towards investment not trading.

Trading has risks and there's no assurance that you could generate an specific amount of profit everyday no matter how big or small your capital is. There's even a possibility that you could lose everything including your capital in just one wrong move. If you want to continiously make a decent profit then learn techniques and effective strategies that would apply for you but of course, you also need to be wise and careful. You can generate a good profit in trading but you also need to consider the risks.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that you will be hold till next Bull Run on: August 11, 2023, 08:06:40 PM
ETH and BNB for me without a doubt. Those two are the apples of my eye and I will always hold them no matter what happens to them. In fact, I can go as far as saying that I will keep holding them even if they crash, because I trust that they will do better and I am willing to lay my money down to prove that as well.

But to be realistic, they are not going to crash, they are going to be fine and the result will not be that big of a deal, we just need to make sure that it does nice enough compared to the market and nothing will get any worse. Life is not easy when you are doing something like this and put all your money into just three coins, but if you know what you are doing, then you are going to end up just fine with it.

I also put my trust in these coins. They are well established and has a firm foundation so I see no reason to doubt it. It has built a good reputation for a long time and the trust that they gained from their investors isn't questionable. They were able to deal with every market condition and I must say that they're strong enough to conquer even the worst market situation.
Ethereum and BNB are worth holding especially in a long term basis. I'm sure that they could still reach a better price when the bull season approaches.
157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Slot Streamers on: August 11, 2023, 07:34:55 PM
I do not like online casino streamers. They are scammers and deceivers. I signed a petition some months ago for online gambling streamers to be banned. These folks which include but not limited to the list the OP has provided make a lot of easy money from every other thing other than gambling. They lead their young viewers astray deep in to the dungeon of gambling addiction. First, the do not gamble with their own money so, they don't even know the real risk involved. I doubt that they even talk about bankroll management. Second, they are paid by the casinos to promote their platforms and they also get paid through affiliate marketing. This is my viewpoint and opinion on the topic.

I understand your point of view very well.
Here in Italy, the advertising of gambling sites is prohibited and you can see the difference after a few years with less banners and promotion posted everywhere.
I understand there is a lot of interest in seeing streamers but seeing someone play a slot machine (and I never know if they are playing for real money or bonus money) is a type of entertainment that doesn't excite me.

Yes, for others, watching gambling streamers is entertaining especially if we're enjoying their choice of gambling. However, it can also have a negative effect to some innocent viewets who aren't too aware of gambling risks. They could also fall into their trap and might also fall into gambling addiction if they get deceived and fooled by flowery words from streamers.
Gambling streamers focus on earning and making money and that's something that we should be mindful of. We should be careful not to believe in everything that they say.
158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: August 11, 2023, 06:03:19 PM
Main goal.of gambling is to give a satisfaction to the people who wants to play gambling some of them treat this as an entertainment purpose only but some of them make this too much serious they made the game as source of income reason why they urge to win but it's gambling the assurance right there is quite small unlike taking a business. In that case people keep chasing their losses and hoping to hit a jackpot in some point it's true but it does not always happen the house always wins the game.
Gambling is an entertainment but only few people treat it as that because most gambler see it as a way to escape from their lifestyle which there are not satisfied with and they can only achieved this by hitting a huge win and this huge win is very hard especially when you are a gambler with an expectation of always winning. It's very hard to win against the house even though in some cases you might be lucky but an annoying fact still stand and that's the fact that the money won will still always circle back to the house being victorious.

When they started to feel that thing and they let their emotion think that gambling can be a passive income for all, it will be very bad since it is being created so that people will be entertained not to be addicted. It is their responsibility to not be addicted to it, when they play they need to be satisfy whatever the result might be and they need to understand it is not always rainbows and butterflies.

Our mindset has a big role in how we deal with gambling. If we see it the wrong way then we will surely make decisions that will surely affect our gambling journey negatively. We should know the real purpose of gambling in our lives so we could not see it as the only way to succeed. We should only consider it as a source of entertainment and not a source of living.

Gambling could entertain us but wouldn't help us survive life because not everyone could really be lucky on it. It has a huge risk to be considered as a source of passive income. We should see it the right way or else, we might lose everything we have because of the wrong mindset. Gambling will always be addictive so we should place it in not on top of everything so we will not fall into gambling addiction easily.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: August 11, 2023, 05:32:07 PM
Both had their own fault in the game, because the loan guy should get to know the purpose of loan.So that the loan getting person will pay their loan without any delay. The most avoided thing of the gambler is he/she should not loan from the agent to get the game. Most of the people use the loan option for the gambling after the complete loss to the game.So mostly I advice my friends, gambling is good but the loan with the gambling is the unnecessary one for the good gamblers.Because such game will not allow them to owe some one for the money.
In this world we can't count others are going to be kind to us, so we have to be very careful with our personal decisions. Something that may look a gift at the first impression might be more of a curse than a blessing, after all... That was the case with the agent offering the loan to the gambler. The same happens quite often even outside the gambling environment, when people in general go to their local banks and the manager offer them abundant loans offers for different reasons, without caring if those people will have money to repay the loan back futurely.

Despite what you are going to do, it can be to gamble, to travel, to refurbish, to invest... Always be very careful if you are going to borrow money for those reasons. Make sure you don't have any other alternatives before doing so. Because once you take a loan, you will have to pay a very expensive interest rate later.

In the economic crisis that we're experiencing right now, most people are willing to sacrifice relationships and their own reputation in the name of money. They are willing to fool and deceive others regardless of it's negative effect on a person's life and we have to be careful for that as we might fall into their trap. We all want to make money but if they are offering too good to be true bonuses and promotions, we need to think twice or better yet look for ways to research and seek legitimacy.
If we will grab every little thing that would seem legit, we could easily be deceived so we should never trust easily especially if it involves money. There will be no one to blame if we fall for their trap but it is us who are making personal decisions. It's better to be sure than to be fooled.
160  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you rather start/grow a business from scratch or buy an existing business? on: August 10, 2023, 08:51:29 PM
Honestly speaking I cannot afford to buy a company but only shares of it. I am sure of this poorness. Anyways I believe these options would depend on situation. I would not personally start anything related to business right now because there is sticky inflation in global world. Even the most developed countries have issues. But on the other hand its better to build your own business than buying from someone you don't know exactly for sure.
People like us certainly can never afford to buy a company because there will never be enough money available, but all we can do is buy stocks like you said. To sustain life's needs is also difficult in the midst of unstable economic conditions, how is it possible that we can buy a company whose price cannot be calculated by the amount of income we earn every day. Even if we save in a few years it is not necessarily enough because buying a company is not an easy matter to provide as much money as the price.

I prefer to run a business that sells basic needs in the midst of today's economic conditions, because developing a business buying and selling basic needs is a promising potential because people inevitably have to meet these needs, even though the economic conditions are not so stable which is affected by the recession.

Buying stocks would be the first step that we can do if we can't buy a whole business especially if we're pertaining to huge companies. As for me, if I would be given a chance, I would rather start and grow my own business from scratch so I could build it up based on my own plans and business strategies. A small business that grows in time is so fulfilling. I would love to see the fruits of my labor and hardwork without relying on the previous business owner's ideas and business flow. Even if it's just a small businesses, growing and generating profit from it even if it takes a long time is a bug fulfillment and achievement.
