141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: January 11, 2015, 05:41:03 AM
It appears that Litecoin's days are all but numbered.  At least bitcoin still has a strong community and development/utility.  I would not touch LTC with a 10 foot pole right now.

Buy when there is blood in the street even if it is your own blood.
142  Economy / Economics / Re: lets make bitcoin price high on: January 11, 2015, 05:31:52 AM
hey guys i just bought some bitcoins today, let us all help each other to make bitcoin price go up Smiley

Long term buyer will like to keep price as low as possible in the short term so they can accumulate.
143  Economy / Economics / Re: Made a video on why I think Bitcoin is a very potent investment on: January 10, 2015, 01:56:23 PM
You're not going to defend your video!?!? Where did you go? Let's get a discussion going!

Current market price speaks louder than words.
144  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cheapest/Fastest Way To Buy BTC? (Wire) on: January 10, 2015, 01:46:30 PM
What is the cheapest/fastest way to purchase BTC with bank? Looking for lowest fees and quickest buy time. Been using Coinbase for some time but always looking for alternatives!

Coinbase is cheapest for small amount.  For large volume, use bitstamp.
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The real problem with Exchanges/Services...it's quite simple. on: January 10, 2015, 01:43:11 PM
is there anyone out there at this point who has used bitcoin and not been scammed / stolen from ? (aside from the folks who did the stealing of course)  Tongue
People get conned out of money every single day... no matter what the platform. What's your point?

People getting scammed in real life usually can report the scammer and let authority and the court system deal with him locally.

Bitcoin enable scammers from another part of the world to conduct scam where there is no global authority can deal with them.
146  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to buy? on: January 10, 2015, 01:33:07 PM
150-250 range is a good range to get in.
147  Economy / Economics / Re: Experts, please explain why decay is a good thing for a currency on: January 10, 2015, 01:30:37 PM
Bitcoin is an experiment. Any flaw discovered now will surely be corrected in next generation coin.
148  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did we finally reach the bottom? on: January 10, 2015, 01:28:47 PM
Do you guys think that we finally reached the bottom the other day at ~ 255 USD ? I'm also wondering what caused the recent "crash" from 315 to 255. I've read articles with different thoughts but wondered what you guys thought. I also read somewhere that market analysts predict a big rise sometime around February.

Thanks for your insight Smiley.

Very close to bottom. If price continue to go down, the whole system will implode and say goodbye to bitcoin.
149  Economy / Economics / Re: The reason that crude oil price crashed on: January 09, 2015, 04:08:11 PM
Real reason is weak demand.
150  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could face another bear market in 2015 on: January 09, 2015, 04:00:47 PM
Quite bullish at this point as the cost of production has been way below market price for a long time.
151  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM HODLING on: January 09, 2015, 03:59:15 PM
Both bull and bear will eventually get slaughtered.
152  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitstamp most likely will buy back the bitcoins they lost on: January 09, 2015, 03:56:47 PM
Rational choice is pay back the stolen coin out from their own pocket. They can make back the lost coins in a relatively short time frame?
153  Economy / Economics / Re: Some Bitcoin Exchanges Might Die in 2015 on: January 09, 2015, 03:48:29 PM
All exchanges are always under the risk of getting hacked or insider theft.
154  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin rise or fall on: January 09, 2015, 03:46:54 PM
Fall to desperate mode then rise.
155  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Canadian House Prices on: January 08, 2015, 04:37:56 PM
If you get a leader in there that wants to bring value back to the CAD, they will raise interest rates.

Reagan did this in the early 80s raising interest to almost 20%. It brought a shock to the economy at first but ended with a better economy overall.

We are so dependent on the housing "market".. it would annihilate our ecom.  I would even say if the housing goes below a 3% return a year things will get really bad.

A country wealth is build by service and production, not inflated asset.
156  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100.000$ investment on: January 08, 2015, 04:35:12 PM
Hello people, I got a really important question(s), is it worth to invest my $100k into bitcoins now? I am planning to let them for 6-12 months, would I get any profit on it? Tell me honestly, thank you.

If you are in the US, 100k is better off buying from Hud and rent those properties out at high yield.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Consensus Bitcoin Price on: January 08, 2015, 04:32:31 PM
The current consensus is whatever price you see right now.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Altcoins Are Dying And How To Make One In Under An Hour on: January 08, 2015, 04:31:45 PM

160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT is dying :-( on: January 08, 2015, 06:35:08 AM
Who says I'm over - Hyped? I still see a strong coin right now. Their still in the top 10, and it seems that other people don't seem to think it's dying.

All crypto coins seem to be going down the sink. Not just one or two coins.
