141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What About Dogelon , The next DOGE or SHIBA? on: November 01, 2021, 03:29:18 PM
Too many shiba-related coins which I don't understand why, these memecoins are just following the current hype, and this is why I really think that Dogelon or any other memecoin won't definitely beat Doge or SHIB, they just keep on coming without properly planning and just to follow the hype, I may be wrong though.
142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 01, 2021, 03:23:49 PM

The coaching staff will do all they can do to find a better solution unto this but the question here is does their stars can adopt the changes to their team? If they are really willing to win maybe they should lower down their ego that they are a star. If all of them can able to play with each other and can rotate the ball for sure they will create a good chemistry also maybe they should try to use their other bench since maybe they can find better solution on their current problem.

Melo had a good season with the Lakers, they all have the superstar to dominate.

Westbrook and Melo had already shown that they can contribute big time to the team, and their contribution will be more useful in the playoffs.
Maybe they struggle a bit in the regular season but comes to the playoffs, I'm sure they are a team to beat and they will likely win a championship.

Also, did you guys see Jordan in this game? That alley-op dunk is his trademark and he contributed 8 points from 4-4 shooting.

Deandre Jordan can still be a threat offensively, he's just really often underlooked by his teammates since they have better scoring options like Melo and LeBron, their chemistry must still be developed, Rockets are in rebuilding mode right now which means Lakers can win easily, and they did.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will shiba inu coin beat bitcoin ? on: October 31, 2021, 10:25:06 PM
will shiba inu coin beat bitcoin or eth ? will  it take a top 5 spot ?
About beating bitcoin, it's a wish of everyone who invested heavily to shiba inu that will never happen. Come on guys, be serious about your question.
How many questions have been said about beating bitcoin with their invested altcoins? Let's say that it can make at the top 5 spot if the hype continues.
But beating bitcoin, never.

Assuming this account was created just for him/her to simply ask this silly question, there are currently so many fanboys of these memecoins and I find it impossible not to see stuff like this in the forum. SHIB will never amount to Bitcoin, value-wise, everything, so I don't think asking such a question would enlighten nor clarify things because it's a subject/topic that doesn't need to be asked, unless you are simply spamming/trolling.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy 13th Anniversary Bitcoin Whitepaper on: October 31, 2021, 10:20:37 PM
13 years has been a blink of an eye, and just looking at how Bitcoin grew throughout the years coming from a small value to thousands of dollars by now, this is actually my first time reading the whitepaper of Bitcoin and I get to see how the transactions were explained in a detailed manner, if I get to see that whitepaper back then, I would have told myself to definitely invest in this because it looks promising, more like the future of digital currency.

My hopes for the future of Bitcoin is definitely the access of Bitcoin anywhere, Bitcoin and cryptocurrency is definitely going to be utilized well in the future, so I really think that the accessibility of it is something I'm looking forward to.
145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL- Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: October 31, 2021, 03:42:12 PM

We have the 2021 Worlds quarter-final draws now. Honestly, the odds haven't been determined yet but my favourites for these 4 matches are like this respectively: RNG, GEN.G, T1, DK. Besides, I think that DK will win the tournament.

A lot of people were actually rooting for T1, I myself am, the veteran Faker playing with a young T1 against the players he used to play with (Khan, Kkoma, Poohmandu on the coaching side), it would really be a big upset but I guess Showmaker's era is starting now and Faker is really not no. 1 anymore as he retires as a pro. You may actually be right, I really think DamWon Kia will be the champions in the worlds.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why LTC stuck on same price range? on: October 31, 2021, 11:43:10 AM
why it's stuck on same price range?
I guess it happens due to the current defi or nft hype, a bunch of people has been carried by the hype and started pouring their money into them. These days most people tend to gamble their luck in other altcoin or the exact newly shitcoin whit hopes it could bring them to insane returns. In other words, litecoin is lacking demands from the market which makes it struggle to break the current ATH.

LTC has been passive lately, also, it is true that the hype has switched from NFT and DeFi projects, causing LTC to remain stagnant, also goes for other coins to be honest, I don't know when the hype will come to an end, seems to me that the NFT hype is just about to begin.

"This wallet bought roughly $8,000 of $SHIB last August.

It's now worth $5.7 billion.

From $8,000 to $5.7 billion in roughly 400 days. "

Who do you think makes millions of dollars? Investors in Meme Coins or their Developers Meme Coins?

These early investors are the sure winners, the hype is present and pretty much felt, these inu supporters are definitely all-in on these memecoins, but the question is for how long will this actually take place? will the hype be long enough to actually keep these memecoins alive? especially SHIB?
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Walmart Sells Bitcoin on: October 31, 2021, 02:01:32 AM
I seriously doubt it'll accept it as payment method anytime soon. That's because Bitcoin's wild fluctuations in price makes it a terrible currency for day-to-day payments.

Why would they accept Bitcoin as a means of payment if there is actually no interest from their customers in the matter? Most perceive Bitcoin as an asset that allows them to profit (short-term and long-term), and a smaller part occasionally use it as a currency. Volatility is not a problem for sellers because everyone uses payment processors that automatically convert BTC to fiat - the problem is fees that can sometimes be significant, and that on-chain transactions are not instant.

With Walmart in the game, I wonder which other company will adopt Bitcoin next? Huh

I wouldn’t call it an adaptation, they just allow Coinstar to have kiosks in their stores - and it doesn’t matter at all what kind of service is provided at those kiosks, as long as it’s nothing illegal. Here, choose the one you like best -> Starbucks, Lowe's, Wendy's, Kroger, The Home Depot, Shell, Dunkin' Donuts, Subway...

That’s because why should Bitcoiners waste their coins to purchase “things” from Walmart? We don’t need censorship-resistance to buy from that store, do we? We have our cash/fiat. We are pro-Bitcoin, but cash/fiat remains useful too.

I think this implementation is intended more to newbies or to casuals who go to Walmart, I think it's a good idea but it won't be that effective considering that most of the daily customers of Walmart do not know or has little knowledge about Bitcoin, of course fiat will still be dominant but with the exposure and availability, customers will definitely use these kiosks more often.
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 31, 2021, 01:54:00 AM
What happened to the Dallas Mavericks? I was expecting a very close game but it's just a one sided beatdown.

Luka needs help badly. I think the Mavs trusted in his ability to carry the team too much. There's really nobody else when he struggles. I thought the likes of Hardaway Jr. could help out but that's still not the case unfortunately. Kristap is also unreliable even if healthy.

Right, he can't do it alone every game, someone needs to step up, like Hardaway and Kristap, but they too has been struggling at the beginning of the season. So that is very dangerous for the Mavs right now.

And Denver as well have been in the losing skid, just about time to end it with a big win against the Dallas Mavericks. They have the reigning MVP, so they will continue to find a win and take advantage of their opponents struggling, like in this case the Mavs.

Jokic is a menace in the court, he just really needs a consistent scorer like Murray's presence, Aaron Gordon is more of a defensive player and Campazzo is pass-first of course, but it's too early to actually assume that they are in the losing skid, the season is still early, more adjustments will definitely be made.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gearing up for alt season on: October 31, 2021, 12:02:29 AM
Altcoin season is coming, the type we got in 2017 4th quarter to 2018 1st quarter so kindly chill me your holdings, what do you think will be the next 10x coins to hold right now? Low market cap or mid market cap coins?

Meme coin are currently making waves but that does not mean they are solid project to allocate your money into. The meme are just been hyped which means it is a 50/50 chance and the risk of getting dumped on is very high. Project like dot should be given attention as they have very high chances of increasing in price.

If you can not afford dot then buying some coins in the ecosystem would be good as they too will benefit from the money that will be flowing into the ecosystem. Polkadot is a very good alternate ethereum and should be getting some recognition very soon just as Solana and others are receiving.

I would rather invest in multiple coins, I'd say invest in a memecoin such as SHIB but with a small value, gain small profit, if not, then you have other options, I agree that Polkadot is quite underrated, I'm looking forward to actually invest in Solana and definitely Ethereum this upcoming alt season.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin - a joke or a way to make money? on: October 30, 2021, 11:24:56 PM
... Do you think it is real to earn on it or it's all a big bubble?

The coin has high volatility, and this always gives a lot of chances for a trader to get a profit. If we also recall that the most famous holder of this coin, Elon Musk, has not Shill Doge on his Twitter page for a very long time, then we can expect another pump of this coin.

Dogecoin isn't a joke anymore as many are interested to actually invest huge on Dogecoin, though it seems to me that SHIB is currently outshining Dogecoin and has beaten Doge's value in the market, I don't know but if Elon doesn't want to support Doge anymore then they might fall off soon enough, but that is unless someone else is actually willing to promote Dogecoin.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia doesn't wants its citizens earning with cryptos on: October 30, 2021, 09:52:52 PM
In another interview recently, Putin did mention crypto and how important its value can be, just not for trading 'oil' which I don't really understand but from his first statement wherein in he knows the value, he definitely knows that the people of Russia will benefit a lot from this, and knowing Russia, they won't lst their people profit without them actually taking profit as well.

153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Slovenia getting ready to tax crypto. Will others follow? on: October 30, 2021, 02:05:17 PM
Not surprising at all, imposing tax will be available to other countries too soon as they regulate and accept crypto. Fiat to crypto is subject for taxation but for a transfer? That's insane and absurd.
Buying or paying (sending to business) is considerable but for a transfer/giving/sending only? Nah.

The government here in my country is also starting to regulate cryptocurrency through the exchange of crypto to fiat, and no matter how much we complain about it, these governments will still find a way to actually gain profit from us sadly.
154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 30, 2021, 09:11:43 AM
Perhaps the Knicks anticipated that it will be DeRozan who are going to pull the last shot that's why they keep him with a bigger guy close to him. You can see that they didn't put a good defender on Lavine. Although is this kind of play I will still go with Lavine taking the last shot of the game.

Yes, tough lost, but we never expect them to close the lead of the Knicks to one and then Randle missing two FT, that was critical that could allow the Bulls to win. Just bad play in the last 4 seconds of the game.
They thought on it so well on that regards if that's the case, great coaching I say. LaVine was more agile and clutch I guess and I'd agree on that. I'd say the Bulls are still at its best even in this loss with the Knicks, I mean it's tough and close game, if they have take that as an opportunity miss they should have won it but yeah ball is round and there's too many possibilities and unexpected things that may happen. Now they're tied with Knicks and 2 other teams and only Jazz on the West remains undefeated.

Yes, at least they have been tested by a good team and knows how to react as they could have won this game if DeRozan made that shot. Nevertheless, the Bulls are really on the dark horse team in the league with their roster upgrade and everyone knows how to fit in the system. I'm also expressed with Caruso, if only Lakers could have made him a good offer, I think he still stay with them. But he already found a home and performing the Caruso that we have known him in LA.

Caruso deserves a better place and he played well in a team that has no Lebron that will tell him what to do. I don't know, but maybe if you are a player and you play with Lebron, it could be a toxic environment for you.  Look how fast his stats have improved already playing with the Bulls.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/c/carusal01.html

I don't think LeBron is the problem in LA, Caruso was still impressive when he was a Laker, LeBron is a team leader and got LA a championship but I don't think it's a toxic environment when he's around, not a LeBron fan but I don't think it's toxic, also, Caruso always had that potential, he definitely deserved to shine on a team like Bulls, LaVine needed their aid and he definitely deserve to be in Chicago, Lakers chemistry is really in shambles right now, Caruso's role in Chicago is just right, I think Billy Donovan wants to utilize them and not just place them on a single lineup.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Cryptos and NFTs are you Excited about? on: October 30, 2021, 04:07:42 AM
Mark Zuckerberg recently rebranded Facebook co. to Meta, I'd love to hear more about Metaverse as they will be supporting NFTs, this is such a game changer and I think more NFT projects will roll out once Metaverse is released, the potential is there, let's see if Mark Zucc executes this one well.

156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL, HODL, HODL when can one actually sell Bitcoin? on: October 30, 2021, 03:58:20 AM
So I keep hearing HODL, HODL, keep holding and all that. My simple question to everyone is "when is actually the right time to sell Bitcoin or we don't ever sell it"?

How then do we say we have made money from it if we don't sell?

The question is, are you really hodling something? if not, then why bother asking, if you do, then you should believe the people around you, hodling only means that you'll hold whatever you have until the opportunity comes, if you don't want to hold and keep idle, might as well find a way on how to earn more.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TV Commercials & How they attracting more clients in crypto industry. on: October 29, 2021, 11:34:22 PM
It depends on the country, here in my country, most of the viewers at the Television here are not that much knowledgeable when it comes to cryptocurrency, so I think advertising crypto-related commercials would be a bad idea, same thought with your country, I think normally advertising it without the whole of India would be a waste of budget for advertising, and since I think CoinSwitch is a sponsor of that match, they were able to roll out such advertisements whenever there are timeouts or halftime.

I don't watch cricket that much but I agree that international television can be a good way of promoting cryptocurrency.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your strategy to carry on making money when Bitcoin turns bearish on: October 26, 2021, 09:55:30 PM
I would like to try to put my bull market profits to good use. I was wondering what is your strategy to continue making money when things turn bearish?

BUIDL

The only strat that is essential is to simply not rely on Bitcoin alone, it's already the year 2021 and having a single option is unnecessary, better invest on fiat or on other coins if you don't want to lose profit when the bearish market starts, or you can simply HODL.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SNL had a skit where they said the Devil invented Bitcoin on: October 26, 2021, 10:58:34 AM
Consider bad publicity good publicity, people will still recognize Bitcoin but I am sure that the negative mindset towards Bitcoin will change soon as more people are starting to actually invest in Bitcoin.

SNL is a comedy show, I don't think that a lot of people will actually take it seriously, such jokes arent, Bitcoin may be considered as the devil but we don't care since we take profit and gain something while all these boomers do is humor about Bitcoin.  Cool
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks either adapt or face death on: October 26, 2021, 10:50:45 AM
I can't say that crypto is almost dominant all over the world, there are still certain parts in each country wherein crypto isn't influential or even recognized at all, and this is why some banks won't adapt just yet, but most of banks nowadays gives us the access to do transactions using their own e-wallets, in my country, digital fiat wallets are rising, though the adaptation of cryptocurrency, not yet, probably in the next few years this will be adapted even more or else these banks will really have no choice but to close down because of bankruptcy.
