yup, I could of swore I said that before. Glad you figured it out, now that you have TCP and UDP open, anyone connecting to you will be able to gossip with your node to get more. It's not specified on the OP and how to do it. Google "how to forward a port on my router" (without the quotes) Um, I have a CCNA cert...I know how to program Cisco routers/switch(layer 2 and layer 3), WAN, LAN, VPN, etc..Cisco is in 70~80% of the internet's infrastructure....I'm just stating the facts... |

I too must agree Expanse start nodes are a MESS!
keep going on wrong work and loosing nodes... it should be from start at least 8 nodes hard coded in europe, usa, asia, etc... now only ppl near main node will get most from the start
I went from 4 to null to 2 and now at 3, after putting those nodes in. I hope this helps out and not put me on the wrong chain.... |

there will be alot of minor forks due to the swift block time, the closer it gets to 1min the less forks, orphans, uncles we will see. I have 4 peers, do I need to add the node from the OP to get more peer? |

I give up i have 1 computer R9 380 getting like 100 coins i min is now up to over 700
another compurer 2 x R9 290x getting coins slowly and is up to 288
and a 3rd computer R9 270x getting coins same speed as the 2 x 290x
all running the same details so im assuming i have 3 different accounts?
How do i know if im connect to the right chain or blocks or even bloody coin?

ho wmuch hashrate you have with 1x R9 380? 380 = ~19 270x = ~ 17.9 2 x 290x = ~ 51 From what I'm seeing I get ~74 to 76~ off of 3x HD 7970, that's about 24~25 each gpu. 7970 is the same like the 280x |

Are there any clear and concise instruction on how to mine using Windows? (x64) I have tried following the instructions for Windows and it just doesn't work. In the updated instructions, it starts with: Doubleclick Setup_Step2_genesis.bat Then: Doubleclick Start_Expanse.bat and finally: Doubleclick Start_Mining.bat I do all the above in sequence and nothing happens. If I run any of them as administrator, it just flashed up the cmd window and then disappears. Also, and this may not have anything to do with it at all, but if I run Setup_Step_1_new_account.bat (which aren't in the instructions) It will allow me to type y/n for the terms etc, but when it asks me to type in a passphrase, it won't let me type anything? You have to make sure to close the genesis bat after you run it. Also, make sure no other instances of the wallet is running. |

So without peers solo mining is worthless...
Without peers, you can not update to the latest block/chain, which in turn you can not solo mine and/or send or receive EXP. |

That's why the blocks are still coming fast. We need a pool up so its fair atleast to a point for those noobs like me
ocminer will hopefully have the pool up in 5-7 hours from now at https://exp.suprnova.cc . If he wants to bring the pool up sooner that would be nice, but it is his pool and up to him. (Although you can pre register and get ready) I could understand from his perspective, he wants the pool to run smooth. Letting the network settle before staring it would minimize the issues. |

 why, what? is this right? Looks like you need to erase your DAG files and regenerate. Using the miner command on the wallet will do cpu mining. Use ethminer to gpu mine. |

It makes me wonder on what exchanges will Expanse be? I'm just going to buy some instead of mining them. I think it is much easier for me now that I don't have good hashrate. Would like to see Expanse on Cryptsy exchange  We need a block explorer before an exchange would take the coin. Preferably Poloniex, which I honest think is the best current exchange out there. Crypsty can be slow during high volume trading. Bittrex and C-Cex take on some maybe scam coins, but that's just my opinion and observations. |

The genesis json issue is really a major thing, we know you'll incorporate it in a future update. We really do need a real-time block explorer asap, would be really helpful. |

diff need time to adjust, maybe 3-5h or more I could see why ocminer wanted to wait 3 hours or more before launching the pool. Let the network stabilize a bit. |

Better do a relaunch...
Encode this genesis block thing just to shut that guy up. Then fix the difficulty adjustment. Something is seriously wrong. blocks are still being solved every 2 seconds.
Relaunch, that's an evil word in cryptos....lol The genesis json can be installed in an updated version, not really a concern right now. More worrisome part is the network block times and possible forks all over the place..... |

I hope my fork wins! I'm really getting a lot of coins. It makes me feel like I'm on the wrong fork.
I had 440, but it went down to 89 and now it back up at 246. Seems like it stabilizing and on the right chain, I really hope. Would suck to lose the EXP, if on the wrong chain. |
