141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Binance Smart Chain the "New Ethereum"? on: August 02, 2021, 10:52:14 AM
BSC use cases are very limited right now and only attaining to idiotic projects and tokens. I personally feel it could be a good alternative to Ethereum-like blockchains but it needs to get battle tested with much more important use cases like trade finance, cross border payments with smart contracts clauses etc. It's good if you want to launch your own token and project but apart from that I don't see a real value.
CZ certainly sees the value of it though.

During the press conference before the tournament in Washington, there was no shortage of questions about the Olympic Games. Nadal expressed all his regret for not being able to participate in the Olympics, where he boasts two gold medals.
As you know Novak was beaten by Zverev, who then won the gold medal. Nole was then forced to forfeit the mixed doubles due to a shoulder problem. The hope is that he will recover as well as possible for the US Open. Nadal went on patronizing Novak as he threw away his racket because that's not a great teaching to kids....
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: August 02, 2021, 10:36:22 AM
Pogba's gonna stay probably until January in England: many of you pointed out that he's not gonna sign a new contract with the Red Devils but he wants to keep the door open for a possible transfer in the middle of the season.
One thing's sure, he's not gonna sign for Juve or Psg but his next move is gonna be Spain

Aston Villa has a great window of opportunity to sign new players, in any case, Grealish gave his best years to his native club and now both the club and the player himself can now deal with their future development.

Let's be real. Aston Villa can get the money from Grealish transfer but who will they sign? It's clearly not an attraction zone. High profile players don't want to play there. They know they can't get any cups with Villa. You can only get unambitious Tier B players with money. I don't think Aston Villa have a plan to be in Top 6 teams in Premier League anyway. They will have another season ending in 10th-14th spots.
They'll just get the money and rethink their financials. They don't need to replace him, they can live without him as they're not a top tier team. Every year they survive in EPL, never showing much consistency. Presidency's happy to have made a huge profit that will get internalized. As you were saying I highly doubt they'll find a decent substitute for Grealish.

146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Layman's understanding of Lightening Network. on: August 01, 2021, 09:10:21 AM
Apart from the above clarifications by hatshepsut93 with LN there are two major things to consider:
1) you only need very few open channels to be able to transact with every node on the globe. To open/close channels you're required to make on-chain transactions but until you've got liquidity you don't need any other on-chain re-balancing. (any tx you make via LN is OFFCHAIN)
2) the coolest thing that will happen when taproot will become mainstream is that your LN channels opening and closure will become not distinguishable from other regular multisig transaction.

You still need some thought on LN but keep researching and use it.

We were able to listen to Novak's statements, finally with some reasoning behind: he knows that he'll recover from this Olympic delusion. He'll try to be there in Paris 2024 to win a medal for Serbia. Of course he's sorry to have disappointed many fans in his country, but this is sport, he said he gave all the energy he had, which was not much apparently. He now hopes that the physical consequences will not be a problem ahead of the US Open.
I have no doubts, he'll get back stronger than ever, learning from this defeat.

148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 01, 2021, 08:55:12 AM
Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri said after the Trofeo Berlusconi won in Monza: "Kulusevski has good potential, but he still has to improve a lot. He has plenty of time to do so because he's young."
Another one who played well was Ramsey who acted excellently in front of the defense and if he convinces himself he can become very good in that role.
Cristiano Ronaldo, on the other hand, seems to be back with great enthusiasm like everyone else, while Dybala had a slight strain in his left leg, but should be available for Barcelona.
Juventus looks like ready to start afresh again, all Serie A teams are warned.

Kane has finally decided to communicate his decision: he wants to leave Tottenham. Apparently, his decision is irrevocable, the English striker just wants to wear the Manchester City jersey. It remains to be seen if Man City and Tottenham will be able to find a suitable agreement for them and for the player. What is certain is that if Kane were to stay, he would be a very difficult person to manage.

150  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ BTCGOSU ⭐ Your Trusted Guide to the Best Bitcoin Casinos ⭐ on: July 31, 2021, 02:29:14 PM
I just noticed there are many new reviews on BTCGOSU while some of the most interesting data I'd want to find's missing: I'm referring to the KYC info for every casino reviewed. Many of the new reviews lack that and it'd be a great add as usual, since many players like me tend to go and play where KYC's not mandatory.

I would like to focus on Cristiano Ronaldo and get you guys feedback about it. So CR7's bound to Juventus by another year of contract (31m net per season). The Portuguese wants to leave Turin, but there are big obstacles.
Right now given his price tag + salary there is a lack of buyers. There would perhaps be Paris Saint-Germain left, but a possible offer by the French could only happen in case Mbappe goes to Real.
Why losing a rising star (Mbappe) for a falling one (CR7)?
152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: July 31, 2021, 02:20:33 PM
There is a lot of discussion about Mike Conley's future within Utah Jazz. Some expect a farewell from the player, some say he's looking for a big team, while others are convinced that the bond with the city and the fans will convince Conley to stay.
Keeping Conley will be a priority for the Jazz anyway. It's no coincidence that the management is preparing a three-year offer worth around $75 million.

Did not watch bronze medal match but I sort of feel like Djokovic lost it a bit after losing chance for gold and entered self destruct mode. After seeing him breaking racket and cursing I decided to try and cash in on his nerves, just placed a bet against him in mixed doubles for high stakes. Have a feeling it will be two very bad days of his career.
You found the right words to describe it, he went into self-destruct mode.
Unrecognizable Djokovic: imprecise, slow in moving his legs, exhausted and nervous, so nervous that he threw his racket away for the umpteenth off-ball. It was his brother's turn to retrieve it and bring it back to him. After yesterday's semifinal loss to German Zverev Nole  he said that his tennis suddenly collapsed.
I guess we all saw that.
154  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [2021-07-30] Binance banned in Malaysia, given 14 days notice to shut down opera on: July 31, 2021, 02:01:36 PM
Don't worry they are just shutting down temporarily in order to keep up with compliance and adjust to the rules of every major jurisdiction they're into. Haven't you heard they're gonna install HQs in some major regions? Again, don't worry, Binance's only bow before the regulators after years of piracy.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sen. Elizabeth Warren wants more regulation, doesn't think bitcoin is a hedge on: July 30, 2021, 01:56:06 PM
Think about it for a moment, what would you do if your employer had nothing but to lose from your statements with respect to something that obviously conflicts with what you do?
In the end, you have to understand them, they can't go against the established order that they themselves propagate.
Bitcoin as a truly democratic revolution, untying the issuance of currency from a central system does nothing but undermine the foundations of an old and oppressive financial world.
Let the Senator call all the regulation in the world because when bitcoin is even more widely adopted on a global scale, their regulation will melt away like snow in the sun.
156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambler? on: July 30, 2021, 01:46:20 PM
If I could give a piece of advice to myself first and then to everyone here, the following rules must be met to avoid becoming a degenerate gambler:
  • A practical gambler (PG) plays only for fun and prefers to gamble on usual occasions (not everyday);
  • a PG gambles with limited and controlled funds;
  • a PG knows well in his practice, the meaning of control and moderation;
  • a PG never falls into the temptation of letting himself be absorbed by the game;
  • a PG uses his winnings to better sustain his life, but not mainly to play more and in an obsessive way;
  • PG losses are always small and acceptable. One of its important characteristics, is to be never in debt because of gambling.
157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season Champion: Milwaukee Bucks on: July 30, 2021, 01:09:30 PM
Yes the Lakers got a reliable and a talented triple-double guy in Westbrook but lets not forget the contributions that Trez KCP and Kuz to the Lakers team. Trez and KCP are a good defenders and Kuz is a good role player at least.

The problem with those guys is "consistently inconsistent" lol. It's way better for me to ship those as I don't know on what part they contribute big out from their inconsistency. If Lebron James and Anthony Davis aren't present, no one from that 3 is stepping up or just in a few situations.

If the deal will be finalized and Lakers got Westbrook, they won the deal. Westbrook can carry a team consistently. Lakers are surely in good hands whenever Bron or AD, in case, sidelined or not present.

On the other hand, Harrel, KCP, and Kuzma will be a good addition to the Wizards. They lack supporting roles so they have also won the deal.
This past season Russell Westbrook led Washington to the Playoffs where, in five games, he averaged 19 points, 11.8 assists and 10.4 rebounds. These are numbers that make his arrival in Los Angeles full of excitement and expectations around the Lakers (have a look at LeBron Instagram post) for next season.
Surely, that's not it yet for the Lakers' whose market continues, ready to provide coach Vogel with a team capable of fighting for the title.
That's the very title that Westbrook's always been chasing and that with Lakers he could finally win.
158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Million dollar win on $15 parlay whoa on: July 29, 2021, 11:13:13 AM
If it was pure luck, which it may be, then it's no different from those huge and crazy wins coming from lotteries or such. We don't factor it in, but there's always a mega tiny small opportunity to win big, we just don't know if, when we play, we'll be the lucky ones. I once placed a bet that allowed me to win 9999X on a casino but my wagered amount was a single satoshi  Grin
I can say I had my luck already
159  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin bull market back on: July 29, 2021, 11:05:40 AM
By the amount of leveraged positions liquidated on the exchanges and looking at the very fast pace of financial institution incumbents tapping into crypto, I believe the bull market will resume soon. I don't expect much before sept-oct and surely next ath slips to next year. But we should be able to go back to some nice price levels.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin anonymous? on: July 29, 2021, 11:03:15 AM
Yeah, as many suggest, just ever don't link your real ID to your BTC addresses and live with it. Use the LN to transact freely with the world without anyone noticing it (remember only opening and closing is visible on a blockchain tx). And with taproot ready, channel openings/Closings will be not possible to distinguish from other transactions.
So bitcoin can really be 99.99% anonymous, watch out for that 0.01% which weighs like 99
