All that's left is our shares and then i'm set

142  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: April 07, 2014, 06:46:32 PM
How about the dividends? Are they accumulated and then paid out once exchange is up?

The dividends have been stored here:

https://blockchain.info/address/1DJpsvnM7xTnQbWEhLYyCyfxQyxwupEzCa

They have been relatively flat but now we are putting more power online we might see more.

I don't remember if we get all the dividend from this address once we are trading, some must be used for reinvestment.

Technically after a very informal vote. 50% of the Dividends are going to go out to public shares and 50% into reinvestment (This vote was back in November though the choice is solely up to Ken). Lately there has been a movement to have 100% of Divs/Mining Profit to go into reinvestment until we are at a comfortable place of growth.

If you have an opinion on either path please feel free to state it. Though the decision comes down solely to Ken.

with all due respect:
Technically there's a lot of discussion in here as to how to run this business when in reality none of us have any say whatsoever.

...
What does killerstorm think about it? He is the developer for Colored Coins.

I would imagine it's competing directly with his hard work, but if CP is actually easier to use (i.e. intuitive UI) then it will be the winner…

Last time I looked at the ColoredCoin UI, I was more than a little baffled as to proper usage.

Can I ask again, since everyone ignored me,
what happened to the transferred shares on BitFunder?

Nothing, we are waiting to be allowed to trade on either counterparty, coloured coins or cryptotrade. So far it's wait and see.

To use counterparty do you need XCP?

some info from reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/22erxg/counterwallet/cgm46jb

Quote
Counterparty is like colored coins on steroids. You can
  • declare that a tiny amount of BTC is equivalent to some asset, and exchange your asset, e.g. stock, for BTC; or store it or send it
  • bet on the outcome of sporting events, presidential elections, and quite literally anything under the sun. What will people bet on when there are no rules, restrictions, or requirements for personally identifiable info?
  • broadcast information, e.g. a price feed, from an address, which is distributed across the network
  • pay dividends on user-defined assets
All this in a trustless P2P environment running on open source software.
Counterwallet is a Bitcoin wallet that enables Bitcoin storage, and tracking of user-defined Counterparty assets side by side. It's like what you would get if you put an open source client-side stock market on Blockchain.info, and users could trade with each other directly there, and it couldn't be shut down. Goes well with Tor browser.

btw Ken, I just wanted to humbly say: Good Job…

I'm really enjoying coming on here and reading your ongoing progress reports and seeing the TH/s go up up up.

Thanks for proving me way wrong Smiley

EDIT: Now, just get us our shares this week and you'll put prevailing sentiment and morale on the surface of the Moon.

@Ken et. al.

so this just went live: CounterWallet (very beginning stages but looks more promising and understandable that ColoredCoins)

noob posts with a sarcastic slant are always kinda suspect… my apologies mate.

Just when you thought it was over, ActiveMining seem to be sitting pretty.  Wow, what a turn around.  If drawingthesun isn't selling for 0.00000000001 anymore then things are indeed on the up!  Thanks very much Bargraphics for sharing your Fast-Hash One Prospector Guide.  Props to you.  I'd add that using cotton buds dipped in, or sprayed with isopropyl alcohol is the best way to remove unwanted thermal compound as it leaves components squeaky clean.  This is essential for maximum heat transfer.  And less is more; to cover an area of a square inch, think a grain of rice in terms of thermal paste application.

you still at it fool? still baffles me that you poor ones spend so much time getting through just to post in this thread and get deleted… A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

thanks for being so committed.

Alright guys,

Got the wires in, plugged them into the board and then into my laptop. Powered it all on. Downloaded latest CGMiner (BFGMiner didn't recognize the device) downloaded WinUSB Drivers and it's hashing right away, no issues so far.

You can see progress here http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1FscNBYzd5CqDzUVQ9YapLQNtLbswkM4NL

If you look under workers it will be called Prospector1 - Give it time (like 23 minutes) to get a decent hashrate going on the chart. It will look really low until it has been up for the full 23 minutes.

looking good.
dang dude, maybe we should have invested in you…

are you running KnC jupiters?

Are we expecting any more updates from Ken today? or are we all caught up?
151  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: March 31, 2014, 04:31:15 AM
Wow Ken, amazing. Great work!

It has been a real learning process, I have to give all the credit to my Project Manager.

this is looking better and better Kenneth, good thing I didn't purpose eating my hat if… well.

Would you be so kind as to introduce us to your PM soon??

AND GET US OUR SHARES AND DIVS!
152  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: March 30, 2014, 03:27:43 PM

Has anyone considered that if the price keeps dropping there won't be much point in mining?

Or am I missing something?

...man I shoulda jumped with ffs et. al.

It's not worth mining if we sell the coins. If we hold then it becomes worthwhile in the long run. At this point with the resources we have no other option.

Also it's likely another bubble event is within several months. If we could have our own ASIC by then we would be well positioned to make bank.

So in the meantime how will ken&co. pay for electricity and infrastructure and etc?

(I'm not gonna say "we" anymore because we (as investors) clearly are not part of this op.)

Nope, you are literally the only person to have considered that.

Welp, I may be a Master of the Obvious here; if this pipe dream of an operation woulda been functional even as late as last December, we'd have been in good shape. But as it stands, all this hemming and hawing about product that hasn't materialized in the real world is utterly useless even if Ken is really doing what he says he is... Of which I am highly skeptical based on tract record.

Ken,

Do you have NMC merge mining setup on Eligius. Its pretty easy to configure but some don't realize Eligius offers NMC merged mining and that would be a nice slight addition to the mining revenue.

Thanks!

I will do that.

Still unable to take pics of your hardware?

Shhhhh NDA.

lack of proof or photos is my concern though.

157  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: March 28, 2014, 06:38:53 PM
Ken c'mon man, address my questions:

Ken, can you please be so kind as to offer some proof of what you are talking about?

Also, please show some good manners to your trusting and patient investors and sort out a way to distribute dividends in the interim?

This delay has gone on long enough.
159  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: March 28, 2014, 10:51:38 AM
I'm not touching this kool-aid stew until I see photos and receive shares/dividends.

Until these are furnished, I still consider this "investment" null and void.
160  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: March 25, 2014, 11:04:33 PM
The dividends must be insane for the shares to reach that kind of valuation.

Dividends and Hype. The shares will not be worth that much, but dumb money tends to follow smart money and be irritional when doing so. When this operation succeeds and the selling resistance from shareholders like drawingthesun is dried up the price will be pumped to insane levels by stupid investors, this is when I will be selling. Last year we saw AM share price go to 2-5 BTC +...any fool buying at those prices didn't realize how inflated the company was with a market cap of 2 Million BTC. The same thing is bound to happen to this company when the shock and awe of success kicks in.

edit: I do indeed have information that the public does not, all because of some careful digging by myself Wink

I love how you're stirring up the popcorn kettle.
