141  Other / Meta / Re: activity calculator on: December 15, 2016, 01:56:34 PM
It means that your activity will stop increasing once your post reach time*14.  Time is the number of activity periods that you've posted in at least once.  You can find the list of activity periods here.

Activity is updated every 30 minutes.
This means that if you haven't reached your max activity and have posted few posts, you'll get the activity in 30 minutes.

If you still don't get it, browse around this thread.  There's like 1000 repeated questions and answers about activity there.
142  Other / Meta / Re: What happens when we copy post from google to bitcointalk ? on: December 15, 2016, 09:33:52 AM
When we copy an post to bitcointalk ; will i get banned from it? What are the things that can make me banned from bitcointalk? If a person get banned from bitcointalk can they be able to use their account again? What are the bitcointalk basic rules? Huh

You'll get banned for copy pasting replies.  There are 2 kinds of bans; temporary which be lifted after some days/weeks (so that means you can use your account again), and permanent which is self explanatory.

More forum rules here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

If you do it repeatedly, then yes you will get banned.

Nuh uh.  You can get banned with 1 copy paste.  Although sometimes the mods might be nice and give you a warning first.
143  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Account Registration on: December 15, 2016, 06:57:01 AM
First of all I admit that I do not have knowledge in regards to bitcoin network. I just want to point out some concerns regarding security.

On my knowledge, bitcoin makes our transaction secured and anonymous. We are aware that before we can make transactions we need a wallet and there are lots of sites that you can get one. Some of these sites requires registration which is totally fine for me. My concern is that, some of these sites requires me to "verify" my identity by uploading government ID's, address, pictures and any other document to personally identify me.

Do you think this requirements ruin the purpose of having "anonymous" transaction over bitcoin network?

You don't need to register in any site to get a wallet.  Simply download a wallet software like Bitcoin Core for full wallet or Electrum/Multibit HD for SPV wallet.  Full wallet will require you to download the whole blockchain and store it in your hard drive (unless you use pruned mode which will make the stored files much smaller).
144  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: [GUIDE] How to Sign/Verify message in NEW Blockchain Wallet on: December 14, 2016, 11:35:05 PM
Thank you!
Yes, I saw.
There is a line of "signature" - what to write? Where to get the signature for the message?
Thanks for the support!

In the last versions blockchain wallet changed his policy and removed some useful features imo. One of these is the ability to sign a message. So, you can sign a message only if you import an address. Till now using this wallet there is no other way. You can verify a message something not very useful since there are many sites to do this.

If you're signing a message, leave it empty.  If you're verifying a message enter the signature there, it looks like a long string of random characters (example: IFtLgDZCpvfw0DT70RCLcYXj3Dbjf68sc6pj/C+u5K6IC8PIhHE4Y/ldllt1/yhrZpVW/shFRf7rxQYdsW/CcBM=).

So, overall I can state that creating custom APIs and similar are not against site policy, can't I?

I believe so, yeah.
146  Economy / Economics / Re: Monetize a Full Node? on: December 14, 2016, 10:08:46 PM
I'm running a Bitcoin Core full node (not pruned) for my hosting one of my hot wallets and for idealism to support the network.  But nevertheless it's on a Raspy it still consumes 3-5W at Germany's crazy electricity costs.  So I was searching the net for a possibility to monetize my full node for a very small amount of Satoshis but did not find anything.  Does anybody know a way how to monetize a core full node for a small return?

// Alex

AFAIK there's none.  There was an incentive program ran by bitnodes.21.co but it stopped last year.
147  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Why this Tx is not showing in Blockchain.info? on: December 14, 2016, 09:38:13 PM
Pushed the tx using https://blockchain.info/pushtx .  You can use that in the future if your tx doesn't show up.  Just enter the raw transaction.
148  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Attitude towards BCT automation? on: December 13, 2016, 10:25:08 PM
Hello! Some forums support, others accept or disallow automation in them. I heard about auto-bump bots and similar on BCT already so I guess BCT is either supports or accepts such automation even though I have not heard about a BCT API yet. Is there an official BCT API? Is creating custom APIs and similar automation/automation-supporting tools allowed for BCT?

AFAIK there's no official API, only unofficial one.  Pretty sure creating your own tools for whatever it is you want to do is allowed too as long as it doesn't break the rules.
149  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wallet Recommendations? on: December 13, 2016, 07:06:09 PM
SOmeone already mentioned Electrum and I can't recommend any better wallet than that which you can use in all three clients. Combined with the mycelium app in android and for IOS. Other than electrum there are only web wallet like blockchain where you can use in all three.

Can you use the same wallets with Electrum and MyCelium? I know in theory you can have them generate the same private keys, but is that actually working?

You can import private keys from your electrum wallet address to mycelium, but honestly I think it's better to use them separately.  Just send only what you need to your mycelium wallet and keep the rest in electrum (or cold storage if you want to).

No creativity at all.  You just copied words from another article and used an auto voice.

152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Urgently!! What the fuck is this ?? on: December 09, 2016, 09:02:34 PM
Hi,

is this a bitcoin wallet or what??

https://s28.postimg.org/5vn7vjb71/Untitled.png

Thank you.

It's an altcoin (ALPS, whatever that stands for) wallet.
Why?  Surprised with the amount?  No single person will ever have 5M bitcoin.
153  Economy / Speculation / Re: Indonesian Largest Bitcoin Exchange Reach 788 USD while Other in 770 USD area on: December 09, 2016, 07:34:11 AM
This happened with Indian exchanges a couple of weeks ago as well and It's not different , you still have to verify your identity by providing an ID or passport + your photo as mentioned in their blog post .
I guess this is the case for all local exchanges and not only this one so unless you are from Indonesia , I don't see how this could turn profitable to you.

Actually you don't need to verify your ID to withdraw.  I have an account there.
You need to verify your identity to increase your withdrawal limit as per this post.
154  Economy / Lending / Re: Need $6 Loan on: December 09, 2016, 06:38:48 AM
Since it's a very small amount, I can lend you 6$ without collateral (I won't have any use for the account) if you can sign from this address.
155  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.02 BTC as Loan! on: December 09, 2016, 06:29:32 AM
Hey, I know my account is not enough but still am giving a try.
Request :
Loan Amount : 0.02 in btc
Interest : 20%
Repayment : 12th December 2016
Collateral : This bitcointalk account
BTC Address :  1LsF1pipDgGaQw2dgGAFe4JwXpBCBdmRkZ

Reason: Got scammed few days back and sort of btc.
Lets see whatever the lendors decide.

Sorry to hear that you got scammed. But your account is not worth 0.02BTC.
If you have a valid collateral that's worth 0.02 I can lend you.
156  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Complete n00b on: December 04, 2016, 04:44:10 AM
The new transaction has been pending for ~30 minutes with no evidence of anything happening.
I'm wondering if these things may be factors:
1) I uploaded a drivers license to circle but they seem to have not completed my verifications process
2) I did not click the enable "Dynamic fees" button on electrum.  I'm wondering if it didn't take a fee because I did not select this.  I have V. 2.6.4

Please let me know if I'm missing something here.

If you're saying that electrum shows it as pending it means the transaction is waiting for confirmation from the bitcoin network.  It might take some time to confirm if you're using the default fee of 0.0005BTC/KB.  It have nothing to do with circle in that case.

Edit:
https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ estimates that a 50 satoshi per byte, that's around 0.0005BTC/KB, transaction may take up to an hour to confirm.
157  Other / MultiBit / Re: Multibit HD - Unconfirmed Transactions on: December 04, 2016, 04:36:21 AM
Sorry for the late reply.

Yes, the balance actually shows BTC0.00 now + unconfirmed BTC2.71

As for the payments tab.
The last transactions are from 23 Nov and prior to that 9th Sept.

The transaction overview says Status: Unknown transaction status.

Can you post the tx id of the last transaction?  To get it simply go to the transaction overview and click next twice.  It's under transaction detail.

You've either got your money stolen or have encountered a bug.  If it's the latter then I'd try reinstalling multibit (back up the seed) and/or create a new wallet and transfer all the funds to that wallet.  If none of that works then use another client.
158  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk account hacked? on: December 03, 2016, 03:55:01 PM
Dear Team,

how can I get back my original account?

Forgot password function did not respond to my email address.

Thx for any help

fubly and not fubly2

Read Recovering hacked accounts or accounts with lost passwords.
It looks like the email of that account was changed in the last 30 days.
159  Other / Meta / Re: password change - where to find on: December 01, 2016, 07:05:36 PM
hi

i often read about checking when the password of an account was changed. but i could not find it. thanks for helping me.

https://bitcointalk.org/seclog.php
The trust page will show a message too if a user changed their password in the last 3 days.  Or 30 days if they changed their password through email.

The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you.

Where do these threads go and is there any way to see them

99% of the time they went to the trashcan.  You can't see them anymore.
