141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALTCOIN to the MOON on: June 07, 2020, 02:19:09 PM
There are some good Blockchain infrastructures coming into play and the Cryptocurrency Field in general is much more Advanced than it was three years ago or at the end of the last bull ran in the beginning of 2018. Bitcoin is huge but the big bang last time was lead by Ethereum, but I am thinking this time round you have other blockchains leading up and bringing new technologies, like Cardano, Zilliqa and Tezos for example, to name but a few, who I think will take the lead in this next bull run, in the Altcoin Boom, after Bitcoin Breaks to the North again.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Zilliqa: A scalable blockchain platform with througput of thousands of TX/s on: June 07, 2020, 02:16:04 PM
I may have joined the party a bit late but I still think we have a chance to grow from here. I bagged around 30k today but planning to add more if I can dollar cost average below 3-4 cents. 4-5 cents will be my highest buying point for this coin. I want to stake for growing passive income as my pension plan and hold a separate bag/ say 25% of it for speculation and capital growth, like selling when it pumps high for example and then buying back lower. I see a lot of potential as staking comes alive, the Exchange offering the Average Joe a chance to buy stocks and crypto in one place and of course the scalability of the Blockchain through sharding. This is now my no 3 investment in my current portfolio holdings and plan to buy more over the next fifteen to twenty days.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: High rewards still possible in bounties? on: June 06, 2020, 09:43:50 AM
The Bounty Scene was quite flat the last few years but what I have found is that the projects that actually paid out and followed through with their road maps are suddenly gaining some traction. So for example, a coin I did a little video for around a year ago airdropped me some coins last week worth like over 170 bucks due to some partnership they are having with that project. So although around 150 projects I participated with had useless tokens, this one gave me more than I expected. So you just NEVER know what project might actually take off and be worth something. I am now starting to get back into the Bounty Scene, even if on a mild level as I already have a full time job and trade, but for me I love collecting coins from different projects and see how they blossom, or well die off.  Wink. I don't think the Bounty Scene though will be like it was in 2016/2017, as there are just too many participants now.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite project these days? on: June 06, 2020, 09:34:40 AM
I really am into CARDANO (ADA) now and going in to get as many as I can under ten cents. I really like CHARLES HOSKINSON'S VISION for a better world and future and He is really looking to solve the nasty problems ailing our planet form bad financial policies of world corrupt governments and the Banking system. Also the fact that in August when the mainnet is live, we will be able to stake our coins and earn network rewards, unlike EHTEREUM which has many problems and delays switching to a POS mechanism. I liek also EUREKA COIN, a fledgling coin that is growing and is basically run by a software development company, making websites and owning a portion of different online and offline businesses. They buy back and burn policy has burned already one third of the total supply, as a small market cap coin it has huge potential for growth. So I have two favorites right now.
145  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you handle losses in trading? on: June 06, 2020, 09:20:24 AM
If you lose, like many of have at some point, you just have to analyze where you went wrong and next time try and do things better. Also you need to know yourself and your limits. How much risk can you handle without getting perturbed. As they say NEVER RISK WHAT YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSE. One lesson I learned was NOT to give up, even when the market was flat and down in capitulation. That's the best place to find all the bargains and if you find a good project stick to it. I now play it safe, hedge with some stablecoins always and buy the dips to dollar cost average on my favorite investments. I keep it very simple now.
146  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: June 06, 2020, 09:15:51 AM
I get paid my Salary in BTC, so am partly there already. I own no FIAT and the only Fiat I exchange to is what I need to pay bills with, unfortunately using a bank for now as when I travel abroad it's the only way I can pay my bills. Other than that I don't use the bank or save in a bank at all anymore. I would like to get to a point where I can be 100% sustainable not using the banking system at all for anything. Maybe if I move either to a country like Malta or just bank with a crypto Bank, then it could be possible. I think it's easier for those in Unbanked societies to move to DEFI faster than us in Europe or the Developed world where banking is fierce. I do have a Bitcoin debit card now and I actually pay my mortgage using Bitcoin lol, so that way am almost there.
147  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase the most anti-Bitcoin organisation. Make #DeleteCoinbase great again. on: June 06, 2020, 09:12:30 AM
It has its good and its bad and maybe ugly traits, but on another note Coinbase is bringing in a lot more mainstream folks through it being where it is, more buyers into Bitcoin ad the whole digital asset class market, can only be a good thing for the rest of us long term yes? So while it may have conceded in some ways, it is bringing something to the table as well.  I don't really use Coinbase that much but as the Bitcoin Market is growing, so are regulations coming in some areas whether we like it or not.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: June 05, 2020, 02:25:32 PM
GOLD BACKED STABLECOINS are a great hedge against FIAT. Ever since President Nixon of the U.S un pegged the U.S dollar from Gold, it created a huge devaluation and knock n effect in the world of FIAT currencies. So for me this is a much safer place to hedge against inflation and also against the boom and bust bubbles of the mainstream markets. I like the fact that we can also cash in our GOLD stable coins for real gold and have it stored for us as well. This is a new way to financially plan and secure wealth for the future within a very volatile world. I have a few GOLD and am keeping them long term.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: UTRUST on: June 05, 2020, 02:09:38 PM
They will introduce staking rewards so that alone will bring a lot more value to UTRUST as a whole. They have forged a lot of partnerships and have been implementing their road map to a T. I think personally the price of this token is way undervalued and well below it's all time highs, so it has a lot of leg room to grow. It did jump 20% though today and I wouldn't be surprised if it was because of CRYPTO CROW'S video.. You know some YouTube influences d exactly that: Influence people to buy. It's a solid project anyway and one could easily add some to the bags. I have a small bag of it as part of my portfolio.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coss Exchange Unethical Behaviour on: June 05, 2020, 08:23:11 AM
I remember back in the day when this exchanged opened, we were all very excited about it and of earning the passive rewards by having COSS in our erc20 wallets or on the exchange. I made a big mistake though of not selling at the all time highs and then of course the price tanked and never really recovered. I know my Father has a few COSS tokens left but I gave up following the progress as there were so many changes I couldn't really keep up with it. I will have to go to their telegram and see what's going on so I can try to retrieve my Dad's tokens for him if at all still possible.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More on: June 04, 2020, 02:00:41 PM
I did get one bag for around 4.4 cents per coin but I am still buying now anything I can afford right up to cents. I hope I can double my stash, but I think the time to accumulate hardcore is almost over. I look forward to staking my ADA coins in August.
It's the same with me. I bought the majority of my coins at the end of last year or the beginning of this year and was therefore able to lower my starting price to less than 4 cents per coin. I'm about to reach my self-set target of coins and now buy every 2 weeks to be able to use the cost average effect.

I am personally very happy about the very good prices and hope that after the announcements at the Virtual Summit and shortly before the Shelley release the prices will go up again.
What I am happy about mostly, is the Vision that Charles Hoskinson has for a better world and this makes me even more proud to be an ADA holder. I have seen my fair share of scams in the crypto space and its refreshing to come back to sift through the genuine projects that are trying to make a difference and to uplift humanity. As we see with the present fiscal systems which are failing, if Humanity also doesn't upgrade its mindset, it will not survive as a species. I think decentralized finance as a whole, especially through Cardano, could be the way forward in finding solutions for the problems billions on this planet are currently facing. On that note my bag grew by another 1k ADA since yesterday Smiley
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earn and save in Satoshi on: June 04, 2020, 01:56:21 PM
I have had my ups and downs in the Crypto World but am glad and happy that I work for a blockchain company and guess what? I get my salary paid for every month in Bitcoin, which means I literally live on the Blockchain. Fiat for me is a ponzi scheme, outdated and not real money. FIAT is just a bundle of debt that our overlords have for centuries forced us to bag hold. People now are waking up to Bitcoin and the Freedom it promises, through its limited supply mechanism.
Although I have had some terrible experiences and have seen the worst of human nature in this space, I also hold out a lot of hope for humanity, if we pull this experiment of decentralized finance off and help generations to come.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One mistake and l have lost all bitcoin on: June 04, 2020, 01:52:21 PM
This is a good lesson for all of us and believe me I have made my fair share of mistakes as well in the Bitcoin Space. Investing becasue you follow a Youtuber is a bit dodgy in my opinion and though I have a few very good quality influencers that I watch on a regular basis, I never invest because of what some Youtuber has to say about a project. I prefer to do my own due diligence. I also have been scammed by some crappy projects and lost BTC, that's why now I research hard before parting with any of my Bitcoin.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Biggest Crypto Regret? on: June 03, 2020, 09:23:32 AM
I have many regrets, but problem is sitting and thinking about what I could or could have NOT done would drive me nuts, so I prefer to just use the past as life lessons, although some of the lessons can be very harsh.
One big regret is that I once invested in a scam project  and I had a video channel and was paid ten bucks a video for doing videos on the project. I did not share my referral link or had any referrals, I just joined their marketing program they had running for a while, bit like a video bounty. Well they ended up stealing all our investments but I got the backclash for making videos and was being blamed for people losing their money. This I think was grossly unfair because I NEVER took anyone's money, actually there were real marketers out there who DID HAVE REFERRALS and made tons of profit from it when it was profitable. So I ended up closing my channel and will never make any videos, not for a very long time. I realize that spending time with your LOVED ONES is much more important than spending your time on a screen, only to see the worse side of human nature. Unfortunately there are way too many so called investors out there that are too lazy to do their own due diligence and if they blame some youtuber for their loss or investment, I think is really immature and stupid because no one forces anyone to invest lol. Lesson learned for me is that many retail investors are too immature to take responsibility for their actions and they should learn from their mistakes.
Yes, my mistake was I was way too naive and actually believe the company would take off, it had huge potential, but the guys who owned it got greedy ad ran off with all our funds.
So lesson learned: don't make videos about any crypto project because you never know if it goes pear shaped, YOU will be blamed for it.
Other things I regret is not buying Bitcoin at one dollar and eight cents, not selling all my first round of coins at ATH in early 2018, not holding Bitcoin PLUS and NEM to sell at their all time highs. Trusting people in crypto too much, and I got burnt, by developers and scammers alike.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More on: June 03, 2020, 06:46:25 AM
Cardano’s upcoming Shelley launch may spur price

The upcoming Shelley launch has been a major booster for Cardano’s [ADA] price movement. The native token has emerged as a “hot altcoin” and is currently one of the best performing crypto assets on the market. At the time of writing, the coin was being traded at $0.0786 and it appears that it might be readying itself for a bull run.

https://eng.ambcrypto.com/cardanos-upcoming-shelley-launch-may-spur-price/

At last ADA is getting the recognition it finally deserves. Although some competitors still try to FUD CARDANO, it is moving on with or without them regardless and if CARDANO can stick to the dates that were revealed for Shelly Mainnet Release by Chris in the latest VIDEO update, we should see now a steady and organic rise upwards and the ADA holders at last vindicated. I did get one bag for around 4.4 cents per coin but I am still buying now anything I can afford right up to cents. I hope I can double my stash, but I think the time to accumulate hardcore is almost over. I look forward to staking my ADA coins in August.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Eureka Coin on: June 03, 2020, 06:26:42 AM
Great news today about EurekaX exchange.

Arbitrage option have been released on EurekaX with OKEX and HitBTC. You can easily arbitrage your crypto between OKEX and HitBTC on using EurekaX  Grin
No more fees between exchanges only EurekaX fees will be applicated.

How to does it works ?
Create account on EurekaX - KYC required
Click on Exchange and choose your exchanges.

How to swap exchange?
Refresh your browser

Yes this is true, they will be adding more and more exchange order books, I think Binance is next. The coin has performed quite well considering the CORONA OUTBREAK caused a lot of disturbance everywhere, including the crypto world at large. I also find $ERK very easy to arbitrage as well, although volume of late has been a little lower, due to the lull in the market as everyone is waiting to see what Bitcoin will do over the next few weeks, I am bullish though on Eureka Network for the long term, as it is a small cap coin, it has room to leverage and grow.

158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ICON - Interchain Blockchain Network / Hyperconnect the World! on: May 20, 2020, 03:16:29 PM
I bought at about $4.50 when this, along with other altcoins, were being heavily promoted.  In this case, some (can't remember which one) hedge fund said this was their largest crypto position (probably selling into the pump).

Not trying to troll, but two honest questions to the moderators and/or other members:

Does anyone think this coin will ever have any value again?

Did the developer(s) "take the money and run"?

Based on the activity and developments they are providing will help the coin to increase its price. Even I am also holding ICON funds in my wallet and in return, they are paying 16% rewards on a yearly basis, in this way, you can increase your portfolio because you can stake your coins for the reward.
I want to get a bag of ICX, but want to know where can I stake ICX? I am focusing in this round long term on good staking Blockchain coins and of course I know ICX is going big in its native country S. Korea but would like more info on the staking aspect now.
