- there are 19 devices This is because one MiniRig is actually 20 (+/- 1) Next generation Singles (which probably won't ever be sold individually). Both of mine have 18, but each one hashes at the advertised speed. The number of modules has been reported anywhere from 17 to 20, and it seems that some are slower than expected so more are added to make sure the device as a whole performs as advertised.

Just got half of my order (single flame lighter) - it seems to be of reasonably good quality with a capacious fluid tank and reliable fast ignition. Just awaiting the 30mw laser and hoping it is delivered soon.
Btw, the 30mw is a good size because it doesn't seem to be as dangerous as the 100+mw units that burn things, but also is more powerful than the usual 5mw units. My planned applicaiton for this unit is for a presentation pointer that works at very long distances and that is very visible to audience members far away. I'll need to test it though and make sure it won't burn my screen (it shouldn't).

3 addresses ARE valid, but they cannot be created in the same way as a 1 address.

The hard drive I have is a sata 80gb, and the DVD drives are not sata, they are regular ATA. I think they have lightscribe too, and will do double-layer RW discs.

This is not related. The JPY conversion is a stupid fuckup on the part of the intermediate bank, because they convert USD --> JPY and then JPY --> USD instead of going USD --> USD.

Hi all and sorry for the wait.
I can confirm that as of last night all the funds Zhou promised to retrieve (approx. $100,000 USD and 20,000 BTC) have been returned to Bitcoinica, LP's MtGox account. The receivership and liquidation process is underway and I'll post updates here as things move forward.
Best, Patrick Hi Patrick, please could you answer the question myself and others have asked repeatedly: What/Who has given you the legal authority to take custody of these stolen goods? As I'm sure you can tell, I really would like a clear and full answer on this. Even if he doesn't have any such authority (and I'm not convinced that he doesn't), what are you going to do about it? Call the cops?

SOLDAll the stuff I can't use, shipped to you to do what you want with it! Mostly PSU cables, also includes video card splitter cables, hard drive, DVD drives, LED and switches for front panel connections, PCI to PCIe adapter, card reader (possibly broken, not sure), high velocity Delta fans, old PSUs, and anything else that I might toss in at the last minute that I don't need. Asking for 2 of your precious BTC including parcel post to anywhere in the US.

Very much so. Aside - I love the mouseover text on the page: "Correlation doesn't imply causation, but it does waggle its eyebrows suggestively and gesture furtively while mouthing 'look over there'."

I have picked up my rig today ... there are no instructions in the box :-) how do You use the rig ? do I have to install the easy-miner from the bfl page ( http://www.butterflylabs.com/drivers/) ? I hope I can use this on a linux machine :-( Plug in to USB, install and run cgminer, shouldn't be any more complicated than that.

Awesome, I love the concept and I'm always interested in how it proceeds.

I'm not sure whether they allowed outgoing fiat transfers, but I'm pretty sure you could withdraw mtgox usd codes. It's been a while, as you can tell.

Yeah, it sounds like you might be misinterpreting something about an ion thruster maybe. Those weren't efficient enough to use, and they definitely required energy to use.

Bitcoinica offered straight exchange services in addition to interest on deposits and margin trading.
They did? I remember that while you could buy or sell US dollars there, you couldn't actually use Bitcoinica to actually transfer those US dollars. Or did they change that after they were bought? Yes, you could deposit USD with a wire transfer and withdraw as BTC after using the "exchange" tab at the top of the page. I'm not sure if the "old version" of the released source code would have that part in it though.

Yet another article based on the same inaccurate Verge report. Doesn't anyone actually research their stories these days? Even the BBC didn't bother to fact check the ArsTechnica or Verge report before they picked up the story.
Bitcoinica is legally an exchange because the lawsuit defined it as such. Unfortunately filing a lawsuit saying you want money back from a bucket shop you were gambling at tends not to go all that well... Bitcoinica offered straight exchange services in addition to interest on deposits and margin trading.

Awesome, so mark_logan bought Flexcoin from Satoshi in the flesh. Quick, ring him back and ask for a message signed by the alert key.

"Multiplier" implies an output greater than the sum of the inputs, which is impossible. Perhaps it is just a misnomer.

Those CVE numbers were issued a while back, but I guess they only just got around to publishing the actual vulnerability?
