141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: China to allow ICOs again on: October 30, 2017, 03:46:47 PM
i seriously doubt that news is true though!
a lot of different countries are banning all the ICOs and it would really be surprising to see one country like China change their positions like this. there is a possibility that the Chinese government does a very serious regulation for these ICOs and make them register everything they do with the government before they even allow them to start their fund raising, but the article was not so good about this and i don't think it can even be done.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin Gold have a block explorer? on: October 30, 2017, 03:34:20 PM
a "block" explorer, explores "blocks" and when bitcoin gold has no "blocks", that means there is nothing to explore Cheesy

so far they only set their starting point, you can call it a snapshop of bitcoin blockchain. they did that a couple of days ago and still they have not released anything, no wallet, no code no mining no blocks and no blockchain. the replay protection is also still a work in progress and last time i checked the hashing algorithm (in other words the only thing that makes bitcoin gold as bitcoin gold) is not yet complete either!

I wonder how long people are going to hold this coin before just dumping it because devs screwed up.

unless "people" were holding their BTC on exchanges such as Yobit, they can not dump their BTG and have to wait because of what i said above.
also the devs apparently have to wait a longer time than others to be able to sell anything since their premine is supposed to have a lock time or something!
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is DogeCoin even worth buying? on: October 30, 2017, 03:29:28 PM
Not always but Yes.

dogecoin is one of those altcoins that has nothing going on, specially in the long term. this coin, just as you guessed has a huge supply and like ethereum it doesn't have a cap. this means a growing supply and a dropping price in long term.

but at the same time dogecoin is known for having very good rallies. and during these rallies or pumps the price rises a lot. and because of small price of Doge you can make a lot of profit from these pumps.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction with very low fees on: October 30, 2017, 03:10:29 PM
Bitcoin's transaction fees is very low than credit/debit cards. As there is no middle man this one is one of the reason of lower transaction fees.
Read more carefull before posting. First off all, OP sent Bitcoin Cash, not Bitcoin. Secondly, he isn't talking about low transaction fees. He just sent Bitcoin Cash and set too low fees, so it can take much more time to get comfirmations for transaction.

why would bitcoin cash with lower fee take much longer time to confirm? the Bitcoin Cash blocks are all empty, and i mean really empty as in not having more than 10-12 transactions, so why would it take longer to confirm?
usually altcoins like BCH with empty blocks will have some miner picking up transactions even with low fees!
145  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trustworthy Mixing services? on: October 30, 2017, 01:44:04 PM
you can use ShapeShift website to convert your bitcoin to another altcoin (like monero which also has high privacy and anonymity in it by default) and then convert it back later to bitcoin.

there are also a couple of mixers currently around which you can see they are on this forum such as Chipmixer[1] and Bitblender[2]. i suggest searching in the services announcement board for more and also reading the feedback of these services [3]

146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are Exchances stealing your BTG? on: October 29, 2017, 06:25:19 AM
Yobit was one of the most honest exchanges during this fork, a lot of exchanges like poloniex, cryptoppia or bittrex are just keeping the bitcoin gold for theirselves, and so many other exchanges did the same during bitcoin cash fork, they just keeped the money.

yeah, it is funny how the worst exchange of all times (being Yobit) is becoming a lot better an much more honest than the biggest exchanges that used to be the most trusted exchanges out there (being Bittrex and how they are stealing their user's funds these days).

i still do not trust Yobit but i have used them for Bitcoin Gold airdrop and i had a very good experience with the whole platform. the support answered me fast, the plan and times were perfectly clear with a nice countdown and they did honor the airdrop right on time. and i dumped BTG at the highest price possible ANYWHERE at 0.19BTC and then withdrew my bitcoin the next day.
147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you make money if bitcoin/altcoin prices keep falling? on: October 29, 2017, 06:17:47 AM
when bitcoin price falls i have the same strategy as always:
if i can predict the fall before it happens, i will sell my trading funds and wait until the bottom is reached and buy back with profit.
if i can not predict it and it was already too late, i wait it out and then buy bitcoin at the bottom with the fiat funds that i invest in bitcoin every couple of weeks.
in short bitcoin falling means buying opportunity for me.

if altcoins drop i am rarely there to see them drop because i only invest in altcoins that are rising not those that have risen already or are struggling to keep what price they already have up! and that means i rarely see the drops. i also make sure to dump them just as fast and that means i am always out before the market wide dump begins.
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Wolf of Wall Street] BTC is a fraud ! on: October 29, 2017, 06:00:41 AM
what else is new?

this topic is already 1 month old and that proves they are always scared of bitcoin and at some point what they say about bitcoin makes them look like someone who is drowning and is kicking and screaming and cursing everyone in the world because they fail to learn how to swim.

bitcoin is growing stronger and stronger every year. this year with the mass adoption in Japan we not only saw a huge price rise but also we saw how the physical/offline shops are so happy about accepting bitcoin specially since there are no taxes when they use bitcoin as payment in Japan.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is vertcoin going to 30$ or even more? on: October 29, 2017, 05:55:11 AM
Vertcoin is one of those coins that have been getting pumped for a while now, and that is despite all the dumps that have been going around these days in all the altcoins even the big ones in top 10 altcoins. but i still think this coin is getting closer to the end of its pump cycle and we should soon start thinking about selling our positions instead of thinking about how much more it is going to go.

to tell you the truth i have already sold some of my Vertcoins but i am still holding some more with the hope of more rise although i give it a small chance.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin's future on: October 29, 2017, 05:35:11 AM
There are some people that the bitcoin was the gold and the litecoin was silber but i thunk thay eth will be the rightfull one to be the once whi called the silver because ETH has a higher value.the litecoin eas almost the same age as the bitcoin but thr litecoin was not so popular because there are some other  currencies that beat the litecoin before

litecoin is one of the oldest coins that has been around. it kept the price up all these years and it even went up in value. that is not something small to ignore in an altcoin when you are talking about how good that said altcoin is.

speaking of ETH, you should not compare these two because ETH has a huge premine which they have been using to pump the price, spam advertise about it and generally to manipulate the market. and also there are are all these ICOs that keep coming out and keeping ETH price up despite all the dumps and bubble bursts. if ETH could keep its price up like this as long as LTC did then you can start comparing them.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell alts for Bitcoin on: October 29, 2017, 05:24:19 AM
you shouldn't plan like this when it comes to altcoins. instead think of them as a temporary place where your bitcoins go before they come back with profit.

of course that is more of a traders' strategy but it is a good strategy that works best in altcoin market and will give you the most amount of profit. you start trading different altcoins whenever they have some news or hype and are getting pumped because of it and you always increase your bitcoin that you invest in them.

if you do that, you get the answer to your question too. the profit of trading like this is a lot more than the profit that a forked coin can give you. for example BTG gave me 19% profit which was good but trading can give me 100% profit.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we explain that the bitcoins is not a scam on: October 29, 2017, 05:13:40 AM
don't bother explaining it, let anyone who thinks bitcoin is scam, pyramid, ponzi,... continue thinking that way. i want less people buying bitcoin now that i am buying so that i can buy more as long as bitcoin is still cheap. if they start changing their minds now, price would rise and i can buy less amount with my fiat.

and these people will understand how they fell for a stupid FUD when they start seeing "bitcoin is accepted here" signs everywhere. if they happen to go to Japan now, they can see them already in a lot of shops.
153  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when the market is full of red on: October 28, 2017, 12:17:42 PM
Well, if the prices are down by 3% to 5%, then you have two options. If you have enough funds at your disposal, then you can purchase more coins and hold them for short to medium term. If you don't have the funds, or if you are not confident enough, then you should refrain from trading and never sell any of your existing coins.

that is a bad advice. because when the altcoin dumps begin they don't just stop at 3% to 5%, instead they go on to be at least 10% every day and continue falling even until 80% of the initial value is lost. and by that time it is already too late to make any more at selling!

it is best to sell before the 3% dump starts but it is not always possible. you can however sell when the price is start at the beginning of the dumping phase.
i know it is tempting to buy back altcoins when they are lower than they were a minute a go but such buys must be calculated not just emotional buys to put you more in danger of losing money.
154  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Corrupted Media: "The merkle" washes Bittrex scam on: October 28, 2017, 11:55:28 AM
it is sad but this is the end of another good exchange out there. bittrex is not starting to be added to the list of scam exchanges such as Cryptsy and MtGox now. they are all the same, when they are centralized heavily they start seeing all the free money that goes through them but they only get a small share of it in form of fees so they end up getting greedy and do things like this to scam people and earn a huge amount of money overnight. now most of those people in those countries that got their accounts banned can not do anything about it so bittrex is going to rob them blind easily.

but this will remain as a black dot in their history. everyone will know they robbed people and will never be trusted as before.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum a bubble? on: October 28, 2017, 11:33:45 AM
We are still at WAY less than 1% of mankind adoption, so even if all this is a bubble, it has a LONG way to go before it bursts.
And yes... FIAT is the biggest bubble there is.

you talk of adoption but why would anyone adopt "ethereum"? there is no usage for it apart from investing in its tokens and investors don't care about something centralized and buggy and highly volatile with no usage. in other words the "adoption" of this coin is mostly an illusion.

besides to see the bubble you only need to look at the price of it in long term. look at the  charts and you will see the bubble right there. when price went up too fast in a pump and you can even see the bubble run out of air as it is bursting slowly and ETH losing its value slowly but surely.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the currency fluctuate around $ 6,000 and will rush to $ 8,000? on: October 28, 2017, 11:21:30 AM
to be honest with what i have been seeing from bitcoin i can say it is possible to stay around this price ($5k range) and the suddenly break $6000 a gain and reach $7000 in a week and by the end of the year be at $7000+ price.

the reason for it is because we are seeing the same pattern of earlier this year shaping up. the slow drop down when whales sell their coins and then the panic sellers and finally the FUD and all the follow up fear. all this ends up with whales buying back super cheap coins back from weak hands and as the FUD stops the rise starts big time as the money that flew out comes back in and causes a big spike.
this has already happened multiple times and is shaping up to happen again.

although i wouldn't bet on it, but i believe it is a strong possibility.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Has Dogecoin reached it's full potential (Price)? on: October 28, 2017, 11:11:40 AM
Dogecoin started as a joke-coin, it was actually created for fun and it has been fun. but some day in the past people liked the "joke" and since it was a coin anyways, it gained some popularity and some value. with it came traders and the rest is history.

but it is a simple law of supply and demand[1]. you can not beat this law ever. when a coin like Doge has a large supply and then each minute a lot more of it is being created with no cap that means price should go down in the long term not up.

158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Besides crypto, what would be the safest way to hold your money? on: October 28, 2017, 11:04:03 AM
in your post you keep repeating "crypto" and i think that means you have invested in a lot of altcoins and have what they call a "portfolio". this is not a safe investment if you want my opinion, most of these altcoins are currently in big bubbles although they don't show it and the comments you read in their altcoin communities doesn't want you to know that but it is true and the bubble bursts will happen as they have been happening slowly so far.
that means you are in for a huge loss in your "portfolio".

bitcoin is a different thing. it has a lot of potential. day by day bitcoin usage is increasing and more people invest in it. more countries regulate it and it is added to serious investors real portfolios. that means rise in long term and a good investment.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the end of bitcoin and blockchain era? on: October 27, 2017, 12:29:47 PM
thanks for sharing this. i am not an expert at all but i always find these new innovations very interesting to read.

we already know that blockchain technology is pretty cool and it offers a lot but it is not perfect. and just like any other technology there is always room for more innovation and improvement.
this was pretty interesting but it is not the first that plans on ending blockchain or bitcoin era. it will take a long time before something can do it for real though.

reading more about Hashgraph i am reminded of DAG. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Directed_acyclic_graph
there are a couple of altcoins that are using DAG and the bitcoin era is not yet ended Wink
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on there? on: October 27, 2017, 12:16:44 PM
It's supposed to go down as people already got their free BTG after the fork but instead it rised to 5.8k?

it's supposed to?!!
what does that even mean? did you see the future drop in bitcoin price in your magic mirror showing you the future?

some idiots started some FUD campaign that bitcoin is in a bubble, blah blah, bitcoin winter is cumming, blah blah, bitcoin will die,... but all of that was FUD. they wanted to buy cheap coins when the weak hands sell their coins out of Fear. there was never any actual thing going on.
and you should try to not listen to these kinds of stuff anymore and try to come up with your own speculation about bitcoin.
