1401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I will pass KYC later is a bad idea on: August 24, 2023, 11:59:03 PM
You are right, some people who feel that it's good to deposit and play gambles first before verifying it kyc is the best, they are people who complain mostly in gambling websites, kyc verification needs to be done before involving in any act of things in a particular platform, because I believe that why some people do have issues in a particular platform is because they refuse to follow the instructions of gambling platform I know, so in particular gambling platform you need to study their requirements first before associating or working with them properly.

They get what they wanted, though. People who aren't really taking the time to review everything and not act upon what they find are the ones who are really asking for trouble. They already know the possibility, and they already tried the game. What else do they need to find out? If other people are already submitting KYC docs to the casino, what stops them from doing the same anyway?
1402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible Sports Betting Shop Operations on: August 24, 2023, 11:32:25 PM
That's good if they intervene in order to stop what could possibly be addiction. Pretty sure some people would be annoyed on how one of the shop managers handled the situation, but it's something commendable for me. They obviously don't want losing money, but they don't want to be the bad guys either. It starts with small amounts, but if you do it regularly, I'm pretty sure you'll develop a habit and slowly increase your bet size.
1403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 24, 2023, 09:57:23 PM
I actually enjoy watching the games of TI qualifiers but I'm more surprised of how team One Move is actually playing dota right now as even if Witch Doctor has a big winning rage , only a few pro teams have managed to actually win a pro game with him. Right now they are playing against Hydra , a team who is well known in Dota 2 pro scene but One Move is playing so smooth and looks like they are going to 2-0 Hydra and send them into lower bracket chances. Grin

WD is that one hero pick that isn't meta but feels like a raid boss when utilized properly by the team. I've seen a few pro games wherein WD feels like someone that cannot be defeated and an overall effective core hero in midlane. There are times though that WD feels like shit - well it's most of the time - so it's really a highly situational pick.
1405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin Helped Create Big Changes In Your Life? on: August 24, 2023, 02:20:01 PM
bitcoin safe me from fiat inflation, saving fund is very important. I have enough fund to start a business but I need time to learn and analyze the market, maybe I need few months or years before I launch the business. if I save money in form of fiat then some of it's value will be lost but bitcoin price is tend to rise so it help me to keep the value of my fund.

Good for you, man. Congratulations on the upcoming business. However, just a little reminder (and take it as a sidenote as well) Bitcoin price is unstable and can go high and low. Hence, it is better if you analyze properly when is the right time to exchange it for your business fund. It will be hard to miss the best time to do so and it will also be a waste to exchange it if it is low.
1406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would We Pay Taxes When We Don't Exchange Bitcoin for Fiat Anymore? on: August 24, 2023, 12:56:11 PM
As many have already said, it depends from country to country. However, if cryptocurrency is already legal in that specific country then I am sure the government of that country will find a way to ensure that it will fall under their tax laws. Taxes are vital for the government as it is needed for their projects and for the finance of the government. However, it still depends on how strict and dependent the country is on taxes.
1407  Economy / Economics / Re: Which problem will you choose to solve? on: August 24, 2023, 07:07:37 AM
Solving the problem of the poor should be a good decision than trying to solve the problem of some rich people who already have money.
The poor are the people that keep suffering from a harsh government policies and the rich has nothing to do lose since they have businesses that keep giving them money employing people to work for them to earn more profits. The poor need aids to live a better lifestyle than depending on the wrong sources for money or jobs that will not help them to be financially stable.
Playing the devil's advocate, what if solving the problem of the rich benefits the poor? As the problem is not specified and explained by OP, let's assume that it is a big financial problem. More often than not, financial problems of the rich lead to companies closing which then leads to workers losing their jobs, creating bigger problems for the poor. Hence, solving this specific problem of the rich helps and maintain a good place for the poor.
1408  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the market still profitable for new projects? on: August 24, 2023, 06:15:19 AM
So my question is: is this market still profitable for new projects?
Few project that got launched might be doing well but the numbers of projects struggling or that have winded up as a result of the bearish market condition are numerous. I know few projects that have products under development. From the roadmap they are way beyond the time slated for launching, and whenever they are asked about launching, they kept saying they are waiting for a favourable market condition. My guess is they are waiting for the bull season before launching. The moment the bull season kicks in, the crypto space will be flooded with many projects because many developers see it as the right time to launch their projects.
So true. I've also come across a lot of projects where their team says to launch and continue their roadmap when the market improves. But I've always had my suspicions about projects like that. Because the road map must still be passed and completed regardless of market conditions. Because I've seen a lot of new projects with the same reasons but after the market improved it turns out they didn't continue the projects they made at all. I prefer to look at big projects that have big investors in them.

Looking to invest in big projects that already have big investors backing them is a smart thing. Not only because it gives the confidence that many businessmen and investors trust it, but it also says a lot about the project itself. It is an insurance that it has already been analyzed and assessed by current investors and the project passed their criteria, giving you an idea that the project will most likely be successful.
1409  Economy / Economics / Re: What Actually Drives People/Gov to Adopt New and Bold Decisions on: August 24, 2023, 05:49:10 AM
-snip-
So, the point i was trying to make here is, even after getting our own country other countries are still interfering in governments rules and taking things over. I don't like to mention names but many already knew. And just to clear i am not saying these statements to put my problems (my means my country) in front of you guys instead i am just using it as an example.
Actually there are many possibilities, some of them:

Your country may be one of the independent countries that are not truly sovereign, usually its independence is based on gifts from the former colonialists who have unlimited conditions that they can even dictate after years.

Your country is affiliated with an international organization, instead they can intervene in your country's policies on the basis of solidarity with members of the organization.

I believe that is what a lot of people forget, most countries are part of an international organization that has the authority to influence and intervene in a country's decisions and policies. Moreover, going against the policies there international organizations have may lead to cutting connections and good partnerships with other countries that are essential in maintaining security and economic power.
1410  Economy / Economics / Re: How to avoid over expenses and have discipline on: August 24, 2023, 04:49:52 AM
budgeting and financial planning always work but it honestly also depends on the income, if our income are too small then everything would be over expenses, the first most essential thing is to improve the income first though financial planning and budgeting also should come together with that honestly and then we can start building up the funds that we have, growing wealth and many more.
but we must also remember the very reason why we want financial independence that is to spent for something that we want (well not necessarily overly luxurious items like sports car) and still have so much money left we could be living our dream life, this couldn't be realized by just saving, as my first point still stands, increasing income takes priority.

Financial planning and budgeting revolve around the income you are getting. No matter how small or big your income is, it will then be used to layout your budget and plans. If you have a low income, you should not be buying stuff that is way out of your budget, you should try your best to compromise and stick with that plan. No matter how big or small your income is, those two are vital.
1411  Economy / Economics / Re: It ain't meant to be easy on: August 24, 2023, 02:25:05 AM
Even if you're good at analysis, there will be a point when you will face losses it depends on how much more you have to keep up, some will be frustrated and just give up, and some will take it slow but continue to move on, because of the very high volatility there is no such thing as a perfect investor, we all have our share of ups and downs its the achievement of others are what will aspire us to move on.
He learned our lessons from others who made it they are an example of keeping your focus on your goal.
In this case you are right, there are no traders who, if they enter the market, traders will always get full profits. Yes. as you said there are always ups and downs too and according to the saying why they can and are able to get some profits in trading, it's because they are used to it and understand how the market works.
That is the natural part of the crypto trading world, nobody could make profit constantly and that's fine, there is nothing wrong with that. I get that people want to make as much profit as they possibly could but that doesn't mean that they will, some people will and some people will not.

You should be trying to make it work as much as possible without trying to have any wrong results on the long run. I get that it will not be simple but you should be considering it as something on the back of your mind. Just make as much profit as possible and learn from your losses and mistakes, that way you will make less mistakes because you will be unlikely the repeat same mistakes again and again, it will be very helpful.

This is true. Sometimes you make great profits, sometimes little to none at all. However, being able to still hold on to the goal of making as much profit as you can is vital, as it will indefinitely lead you to success. In times wherein you feel like you are going nowhere, having such a mindset to continue pursuing what you have set as a goal and learning from your mistake allows you to grow and reach the goal.
1412  Economy / Economics / Re: Argentine leading candidate: Pro Bitcoin, anti CentralBank, wants dollarization on: August 24, 2023, 02:09:34 AM
It seems to me that Argentina's Javier's attraction toward Bitcoin is borne out of exasperation. Argentina has been in all kinds of debt crises, banking crises, and other financial crises in many many decades already. Even before I was born, the country has already been through all of this. Milei must have already been fed up with this problem that characterizes the country's economy all his life.

It's not surprising, therefore, that an Argentinian leader would just want to eradicate the highly incompetent, corrupt, and inutile central bank once and for all. It probably explains why, while he is pro-Bitcoin and anti-central bank, he is also compelled to embrace a foreign yet more stable and dependable currency. That to me isn't controversial. That is realistic and practical. That's probably better than just declaring Bitcoin to be the one and only official currency when he becomes president.

While this isn't the solution, this may be a good place to start. This may indeed just be a band-aid solution but it'll at least somehow stabilize the economy. Having a stable currency is a good start.

I agree. As controversial as it is with all the negative notion Bitcoin have and the move for dollarization, if it is the best and only way to bring temporary yet much-needed stable currency and economy for Argentina, then so be it. Right now, it is a step and it is a good beginning to address the financial, debt, and economic crises Argentina has been facing for decades.
1413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos Should Also Be Prepared For Health Emergencies on: August 23, 2023, 11:53:09 PM
I think to enforce casinos to have paramedicals teams would be a very abusive regulation. I think the emergency service must be efficient and reach every locations pretty fast and that is all. Here in our country the service is managed by the government, but in other countries I think it can be managed by the private sector too.

Citizens just have to make sure the system is working properly, but not forcing businessmen to increase their debt by hiring paramedicals or acquiring medical equipments for their businesses. After all, I don't think it's their obligation.

It is illegal for a huge business or establishment to not have any nurses or doctors on stand-by during hours of operation. I think the casino in question have the medical team and quick response team on their speed dial, it's just that the dealer failed to assess the situation correctly. If I were the casino, I'd put the blame on the dealer for not calling the relevant team that handles such concerns. Also, the dealer could have alerted a security nearby to wake the person up. Well, what's done is done. The man's lawyer could sue this casino for a huge sum, that's for sure.
1414  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Serious Sportsbet problem, they paid 38.32 LTC to the wrong address on: August 23, 2023, 11:17:40 PM
Clipboard hijacking is still a thing. Are you sure that your machine is free from malware or any other such software? It's easy to dismiss this fact, as our emotions will always go ahead and blame the other party for the unfortunate incident.

I suggest you do a deep scan of your machine and check your findings there. If there isn't anything you find, then I guess you'd still be out of luck given that your case doesn't prove anything. Charge to experience, maybe? And next time, double check the address you pasted before hitting the send button in order to prevent this from happening.

Sportsbet.io has been around for years and have huge appearances in some big sporting events. I believe they have the common sense to not do this thing as it will tarnish their reputation greatly.
1415  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: vave.com - is a rasists on: August 23, 2023, 10:13:55 PM
An example of how the terms and conditions can be used against players. In this case, since whoever in Vave found out that you're Russian, they believe they can scam you out of your money easily because of the ongoing conflict plus the sanctions imposed against Russia. This is the first time I've heard that a person gets his money confiscated on a gambling platform just because of his nationality. Imagine adding a clause on the terms just to fuck with your players.

Create a scam accusation thread and post all evidence there. Might not get you back your money but you've damaged the site's reputation by doing so.
1416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I will pass KYC later is a bad idea on: August 23, 2023, 09:52:27 PM
Personally, I'd like to experience the platform first before I go balls-deep into their KYC. I'd submit the necessary ones, then I'll complete the advanced verification later. Once that's done, I can now have the option to deposit huge amounts and not get put into an endless back and forth with the customer representative once I won a huge amount. Saves me the stress of dealing with the reps, and also gives me ample confidence to just play and think of nothing else.
1417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Personal favorite on: August 23, 2023, 04:45:45 PM
OP is obviously a shill. You come here and expect people to believe that that casino with lots of negative reviews does all of what you describe it to do. And also with a newbie account? If you're one of those who runs the platform, get some decent ANN thread or fix your platform in order to gain people's trust here in this forum. That's the way this casino will ever get something good for itself.

Or if you're really getting lucky in the said casino, congrats to you, I guess. But don't expect people from here to play on the said platform, though.
1418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos Should Also Be Prepared For Health Emergencies on: August 23, 2023, 09:32:04 AM
There are cases when drunk players just fall asleep into blackjack/poker tables, so I guess they thought of this one as another of those cases. Though at the least, the dealer should have called for someone to ask the man to 'leave' in order to check on what's happening with the guy. Needless to say, the dealer should have send someone out to check on the guy immediately after he stumped. I'm pretty sure that the way the man slumped isn't normal, so from that point the dealer should have been alarmed.

Anyway, I guess casinos have these people around, the health professionals and stuff. It's just that the dealer didn't alert any of them at the time the incident happened.
1419  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May Mga Influencer Ba Tayo Na Tutok Sa Cryptocurrency? on: August 23, 2023, 08:06:30 AM
1420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin Helped Create Big Changes In Your Life? on: August 23, 2023, 07:44:58 AM
I feel that for me, Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general have had a significant impact on the way I think about finances and the future.... I can't say that I have become extremely rich because of them, of course, but they have definitely changed my perspective... from the first moment they explained to me about Bitcoin, I was always reluctant to the idea about it, I thought it was some kind of scam or that it was just going to be something temporary.. as I researched more about the subject and read, I liked it more and more... In addition, here in the forum you will be able to enrich your knowledge, there are various topics that will be of interest to you regarding Bitcoin and even other quite interesting topics in other sections. In terms of the way I buy and earn income, although I am not completely dependent on Bitcoin, for my weekly income I have explored opportunities in the field. What I mean by this? That although I am passionate about Bitcoin, I have it more as an investment in the future that I am sure at some point will be of great benefit..
I'm glad someone shared something different that is technically not just about money. Bitcoin has truly opened the mind and interests of people regarding economics. Moreover, the community surely helps a lot in giving thoughts, suggestions, and opinions regarding the Bitcoin experience and the like. Hence, I do really appreciate you pointing out those things that we get that is not entirely financial aspect from Bitcoin.
