1401  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and investing, and still very broke.why? Is it spiritual? on: January 01, 2023, 08:55:42 AM
I sit-down to wonder why traders who are consistent in trading and also investing still remain very broke despite the effort they put to erradicating poverty, but it still seems like there is some sort of unforseen and spiritual forces controlling the physical.Or should it be foundational curse from the forefathers affecting the present circumstances?or is it that the poverty is inherited? Or is it a gene or chromosome?.These are questions that that I tend to ask.
I don't believe the few successful traders are broke though they are few in number, according to statistics 95% traders loses their fund, trading and investment thrive well if you have a huge capital and don't totally rely on it as your main source of income because you will be force to trade just to met up with your monthly or weekly profit target unfortunately might ended up in losing streaks, however with a reasonable capital and a working strategy just a monthly or weekly target of 5% is enough with compounding such profits will amount to big sum of money in the long run this is also applicable with investment too.
1402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 01, 2023, 08:40:58 AM
Manchester City is really unlucky, actually they should win 2-1 if the Stones's header ball didn't hit the pole. But it's what it's, they're already trying their best and Pickford was made some great saves too. Is there anyone bet draw in this match? congratulations for the juicy @8.00 odds.

I bet on Man City. that's unlucky. but who would have thought that Everton could have scored an equalizer in the second half? statistically, everything belongs to the City. but they did not get the victory.
after all, Everton played with a strong defense. they managed to stem the many opportunities from City. a nice game. and regarding the bet, it's just my bad luck.
I'm sorry you've had bad luck! With a point against City, Everton ends 2022 on a positive note. As far as City is concerned, the next match is more important than this one. There's no point in crying over spilled milk. There is no guarantee that Haaland will solve all of the problems. This season, City has become predictable unless they're headed into big trouble.

Therefore, the gunners have the opportunity to extend their lead.
Man City total reliance on Haaland to score goals for the team would backfire in a long run, it's evident that Man City players are always trying to provide assist for Haaland to score, except only on set-piece e g cornerkick or freekick where any other player can score, what is the essence of breaking highest goal records by Haaland if the club didn't win the EPL title? I think Guordiola should free the team for any player to score when the opportunity open up just like Arsenal who has many scoring options upfront, Everton took their few chances which eventually or luckily got a deserve equalizer the draw game which  proved all soccer pundits and analysts wrong that is why football is certainly unpredictable in some cases.
1403  Economy / Economics / Re: The poor people with their reasoning on: December 31, 2022, 04:45:36 PM
I believe a lot of people here haven't experience poverty thus their judgement on poor people isn't fair enough, it's absolutely hard to convince a very poor person who couldn't afford to feed and eats from hand to mouth and doesn't know where the next meal will come from to invest in crypto, there sense of reasoning will be out of tune with what is on ground as regards investment, so it's a matter of defeating abject poverty first and attaining a financial freedom before thinking of any investment. It's everybody desire to invest any form of investment provided that there is excess and extra funds having catered for their basic needs.

And now it is really official.

CR7 to Saudi Arabia.

This is actually pretty sad, one of the best player in the world but ended up playing outside of Europe when he could still be playing in some european clubs. Sadly, If he didnt do that interview then I think he would still be playing in Manchester United or some other european clubs might even want to sign or perhaps loan him during the January transfer.
His attitude has killed his career, in fact Ronaldo is still capable of playing at a high level in European competition. He still has everything to play on the European stage, due to controversial interviews making other clubs in European competition discouraged from signing him. It's sad to see one of the world's class players have to play in a competition outside of Europe, now there is no more Ronaldo and Messi competition. We also won't be seeing Ronaldo brilliant actions again on the pitch, because it's literally impossible to watch the Arab League just to see Ronaldo in action.
Do you think there are clubs who are/is willing to a pay weekly wage of £500,000 apart from Man Utd in Europe? I don't think so except the oil rich Saudi Billionaires, thus the best bet for Ronaldo is to accept Saudi Arabia Al Nassr lucrative offer making the highest paid player in the history of football £177m per year till 2025 is massive. Ronaldo will have the opportunity of scoring more goals in Saudi Arabian league to break more goal records probably the highest goal scorer ever by any player in the history of football before his final retirement, of course he will ensure that no player will ever break his records.
1405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 31, 2022, 10:01:17 AM
Faes did a great job today scoring two goals for Liverpool. I cannot tell them an own goal, they were accidental ok but the ball wouldn't enter the goal without his effort.
Liverpool managed to get 3 points but when you see Klopp face you know how angry he was with the performance of his team.
In the other game, West Ham continued its negative results and risking to slide into relegation zone..

I would definitely not want to be in his shoes right now as people might just be inclined to blame him for the loss against Liverpool. I think Leicester played well and was on top initially but then got demoralized with the two own goals.
I think Liverpool’s gameplay was poor and I think Klopp knew it too. They desperately need to step up their game if they have any chance of finishing in the top four at the end of the league.
I would only blame Wout Faes for the first own goal, I am sure Leceister City goalkeeper Ward must have called him out to allow the ball get to him unfortunately Faes touch deflected ball into their own net, the second own goal was very unfortunate the ball hit the post and met on rushing Faes and enter the net, overall Liverpool deserve the win having missed clear cut scoring opportunities both Nunez and Salah missed good chances, though with time I think Nunez will become a good striker after working on his finishings in front of goal, kudos to Klopp making it four straight wins and gradually pushing for top four spot.
1406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling For Fun - What Does This Mean To You? on: December 30, 2022, 07:06:41 PM
From my own point of perspective gambling for fun mean gambling and betting in my own area of specialization example soccer bettin,  I play bet based on my vast knowledge and exposure on the game being a former soccer player, I pick some fixtures in major leagues make analysis on each of my pick for fun and place my bet accordingly, though the ultimate aim is to earn profit thus serve as another source of income, there is nothing like fun here because gambling involves money and I can't afford to throw away my hard earned money for the sake of any fun rather it's a pure craft, however I always gamble with fund I can afford to lose.
1407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 30, 2022, 03:46:02 PM
Arsenal had better be careful this week. It is a more challenging fixture against Brighton. I know that Brighton don't have Potter anymore and they have been in a phase to adapt to the new manager for some time. But their general results so far have been quite decent. The Southampton victory must also be a big help for them to concentrate on the Arsenal game more.
Brighton have good statistics against Arsenal in home games considering the head-to-head games in this stadium in the Premier League. We will see if they will be able to use this as an advantage somehow. But Arsenal's extraordinary performance is really hard to stop now.
Definitely I’m expecting another level against Brighton at the end of the year. Brighton are a very dangerous team and I think Arsenal should approach that match with caution. For a while now they have found it difficult to beat Brighton. And I owe it all to their composure in their play and directness. I know Brighton to be able to hurt big teams so I can’t say Arsenal will find it easy against them, especially now they’re playing at home.

Arsenal might be in great problem without Gabriel Jesus as he is injured and will not be returning until February of the next year. I think Arsenal might be having problems in their next game against Brighton as the right one has been playing quite well this season as they are seventh in the league whereas even teams like Chelsea are also behind them. I think this might be a low-scoring game but I still think Arsenal have the edge over Brighton. It all depends on what the coach plays as the striker for Arsenal.
The present squad of Arsenal is much more formidable and can match any EPL team now, though their match against Brighton tomorrow is going to be a tough match, however I think Arsenal will still win the match, I watched Arsenal match against West Ham, I was very impressed with how they came back from a goal behind and won that match, they are well composed and always play attacking football, Nketiah who replaced Gabriel Jesus was absolutely fantastic with a brilliant goal to his credit, Brighton knockout Arsenal in Carabao Cup this season but I don't think that will count in their match.
1408  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The high increase of insecurities in Nigeria, how do we combat this? on: December 30, 2022, 11:21:59 AM
The best way to tackle the menace of insecurity in Nigeria is by restructuring the country into six regions as being practice in the sixties, each region taking care of their security architecture with this setup, we will have a state police apart from Regional police including the Army, Navy and Air force, for example in South West here they have Amotekun complementing the work of Police.
Unemployed youths will be recruited in their locality as local Police because they knew all the the terrains and hideouts of criminals.
Unfortunately with this present security system in the country that is not Decentralized we won't get out of this shit, a situation where a commissioner of Police will have to take order from the IG before deployment of troops or officers to tackle an urgent security breach.
1409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 30, 2022, 11:04:24 AM
I really don't expect Liverpool to lose only to Leicester because the opponent this time is not much different from the previous opponent, namely Aston Villa, Liverpool must be able to close this year with a sweet win at Anfield, one defeat will make them further away from the UCL zone and not a thing which is expected to see them not playing in the UCL next season.
Liverpool aren't playing bad, just that this season is not for them as Mane left the club which was a mistake for Liverpool management to let such a good player to leave the club, but they are still playing good and would be difficult for many clubs in premier league to win them. Leicester is not a good club like before in a particular year, and they are not playing that good in this season, if they compare the club and Liverpool, Liverpool would likely win.

I think it will be a tight game, but I hope Liverpool signs off 2022 on a good note with another 3 points in the bag.
Liverpool has done the right thing before and knows what it can do, and If Liverpool plays their game, Liverpool can beat anyone.

Jürgen Klopp reports that Ibrahima Konate is available for a meeting with Leicester. with no fresh injury concerns.

Leceister City without their injured playmaker James Maddison won't be easy for them in Anfield, I don't think it's going to be a tough match because Leceister City last win in Anfield was in year 2000 and had never win their 12 away matches against Liverpool, so I don't know how they will suddenly change those records at this time when they are struggled earlier in the league before moving upward to 13th on the table, meanwhile while Liverpool is pushing up for top 4 spot will motivate the team to win today in front of their vociferous supporters possibly debut their new signing Gakpo.

Does Manchester United need a new striker? Yes... but I don't see that as a big problem.

That, in my opinion, is not a major issue. Even if they don't have a replacement for him yet, they can still do better, as evidenced by their two recent games following the World Cup break. Some people believe Ronaldo was a barrier to them performing well as a team because they have too much respect for him to correct him on the field of play. They've shown that they can play without him; now we'll see if they can keep it up for the rest of the season.
Of course Man Utd duo of Martial and Rashford had a good game and good understanding in their last match against Nottingham Forest in the absence of Ronaldo however how consistently well will the duo play in their subsequent matches? considering the
fact that they played a weak team or less formidable opponent in midweek, we are all aware of Martial as an injury-prone player just like Thomas Partey of Arsenal, IMHO I think Erik Ten Hag should play either of the two players as their main striker while one of them is benched, even with that formation the club needed a backup striker while any of Sancho, Anthony, Ganacho and Elanga plays at the wings.
1412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 29, 2022, 08:52:38 AM
Arsenal next four fixtures are as follow
• 31/12/2022    15: 00 Brighton vs Arsenal
• 02/01/2023    15: 00 Arsenal vs Newcastle United
• 14/01/2023    15:00 Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal
• 21/01/2023    15:00 Arsenal vs Manchester United
If Arsenal still top the table after the playing the above round of matches, then I think they should be considered as one of the EPL title contender this season, I believe they can achieve that feat though Iam not expecting four wins, recall in some previous seasons ago Arsenal usually had a bad results after topping the table before January transfer break, I hope that jinx would be broken this season, I am expecting an outright win over Brighton on Saturday going by their last oustanding performance against West Ham, thereafter a tough match against in-form Newcastle united.

1413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 29, 2022, 07:25:43 AM
it's obvious that Haland came to English premier league to steal and destroy. Have not seen any striker from other leagues that came to English premier league and settled the way Haland is going. Some always found it difficult within two years.
Arsenal has to be serious, because man city won't let them breathe. To me, Man city is still very favourite for the title, but if am to choose I'll give it to Arsenal.
Guardiola personally didn't believe Haaland will playing so impressive in his debut season and 20 goals from 14 matches makes Haaland has break previous records as the players who can scoring 20 goals quickly and before him there was a name Kevin Phillips from Sunderland who can able to scoring 20 goals in 21 matches and i think if Haaland can be consistent he can scoring more than 35 goals during this season or could be more than it however after won from Leeds finally Manchester City has overtake again Newcastle position on standings league and Everton could be their next opponent and it's easy match for them considering Everton still fight to avoiding relegation zone
I believe Haaland will break the record of the highest goal scorer in the history of EPL this season unless he is injured, he look unstoppable and closely watch his teammates in their squad always feed him with final passes and assists to ensure he scores, most often it's Kevin DeBryne yesterday's match against Leeds Utd is was Grealish that provided his assists, obviously more assist for when they play a less formidable opponents in the league, Haaland had already scored 20 goals in 14 matches is indeed a great feat and obviously going to score up to 50 goals smashing whatever records on ground,
1414  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tutored or you learned how to trade? on: December 28, 2022, 07:43:59 PM
For newbie traders to learn.

I want to have a broader knowledge about this because I do not want to be discussing partially about what I did when I wanted to learn crypto trading.

First thing first, this is what I did.
I learn trading myself, using articles and videos from trading sites. It was fun for me because I like to learn if it is about what could earn me money.

After learning trading, I trade. I learn derivative trading as well. But what later happened was that I was losing. I do lost in gambling since 2014 until I had control over it, gambling took money from me, but I had more money in 2019 and trading has taking more from me until I gained more experience about what trading is before my losses reduced and profit increases.

How about you people that had a tutor, were you able to be taught in a way you do not lose in the beginning? I only started to make profit some months ago and till now though, but I lost for almost 2 to 3 years. Maybe tutoring can help to avoid losses?
One of the quickest route to be successful in trading is to have an experience mentor, unfortunately it's hard to secure the service of a mentor because majority of them are very busy with trading, I am a self taught trader and honestly it had been a very tough journey, I started learning trading with forex trading, I read a lot of articles, watch lot of videos and practice with different types of strategies, I had rekt my live account thrice without a breakthrough and diverted to crypto trading without any success, however lately I started getting an edge over the market after sticking with one trading strategy and studied psychology of trading, Price Action and candlestick patterns formed at pivot zones.
1415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 28, 2022, 07:16:50 PM
Yesterday the favorites did not disappoint and won their matches with confidence. I believe today will be similar and Manchester City will also get three points in convincing style. It is true that Leeds, especially at home, can cause problems for the favorites, but today I do not expect a surprise. 8 points behind the leader is enough mobilization for Manchester City to approach this match fully concentrated and not underestimate the theoretically weaker rival.
As Manchester City are missing a few games, the score difference is not exactly true. Manchester City will probably win the game tonight and will narrow the points gap. Haaland's performance is one of the curious performances. He is the Premier League's best striker this season and is breaking all records. Together with Mbappe, we are watching one of the star players whose name we will hear very often in the future. Manchester City is therefore very lucky to have him.

If you look at the previous encounters with the two teams, Manchester City is superior in victory and won several big wins against Leeds, and it is clear that Manchester City will win against Leeds later.
and Haaland is a ferocious striker who is difficult to tame and Haaland with Manchester City has shown his fangs as one of the best strikers in Europe despite his young age. And I think Mbappe and Haaland were like Messi and Ronaldo when they were young and fierce.
Newcastle is seriously threatening Man City in the second position on the table with an emphatic win over Leceister City thus mounting more pressure on Man City to win tonight against Leeds Utd, all the other tops team also won their match convincingly, however I don't think Leeds Utd stand any chances of stopping Man City tonight they just needed to defend very well and avoid heavy defeat recall the last match between Man City vs Liverpool in Carabao Cup last week, the former played their full squad I am also expecting a strong team to be played by Guordiola, it's interesting to watch how the host who usually play well in Elland Road will stop Man City tonight.
1416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 27, 2022, 05:10:45 PM
This is surprising for someone to see, few days ago fabrizo Cody Gakpo hasn't changed plans about moving to Man United why the change of plans now, Virgil of Liverpool his teammates at the Dutch side should be the agent to take the player to Liverpool by convincing him. Man United are trying to cover up that he was never considered a good option even if Ten Hag expressed his desires to get the player he worked with at PSV. He can not be a replacement for Ronaldo he can not match his laces.

Nah ten Hag wasn't PSV coach. He was an assistant manager there but that's long time ago when Gakpo was still 13 yo. I don't think Virgil affected him to choose Liverpool since there is only one Dutch player there, while Man United have two players and one coach. I think it's because he feels that he will get more playing minutes in Liverpool, because there are many injured players who playing same position with him. In Man United, he must compete with Sancho, Anthony, Rashford, and the wonderkid Garnacho.
Liverpool injured duo of Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota who are their main strikers are out for long spell will guarantee Gakpo an instant starting shirt in Liverpool compared to Man Utd who had enough attackers in their squad, though Van Dijk spoke positively about Gakpo just to encourage him to change or switch allegiance from Man Utd to Liverpool despite the fact that almost all the media news had that reported Gakpo move to Man Utd is a done deal, the next move for Liverpool is to bid for Bellingham to beef up their depleted midfield due to injury to some key players and replacement for aging Henderson and Milner.
1417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 27, 2022, 12:25:46 PM
Martin Ødegaard was Arsenal’s main man in their 3:1 comeback win over West Ham:

👌 81 touches
🅰️ 2 assists
🎁 2 big chances created
🔑 5 key passes
👟 56/60 accurate passes
💨 2/3 successful dribbles
⚔️ 6/10 duels won
No doubt Ødegaard was all over the midfield dictating passes and spearheading Arsenal attack aggressively, he was pivotal to the win recorded by Arsenal in yesterday's match against West Ham thus won Player of the match, Nketiah third goal was very delightful to watch with his clever turn, he indeed performed credibly well in the absence of Gabriel Jesus, I begin to believe Arsenal has the capacity and potential to win the EPL title this season, this present squad is quite different from the previous squad who usually lose steam during Christmas and boxing day matches played within three days.
1418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi network mining on: December 26, 2022, 03:27:49 PM
Lately it seems that Pi network is growing day by day.  Who can touch Bitcoin on the Pi network?  Many say that the Pi Network will overtake Bitcoin.  I had a bit of a laugh when I heard about the Bitcoin leak.  Bitcoin is the number one coin in cryptocurrency.  I don't think comparing any coin to Bitcoin is anything but silly.  But what is your opinion?  If anyone has an idea about pi network, please let me know.
It's truly laughable when they're having that belief that a non-existent project that is still in its testing phase for so long is being said will take over bitcoin.
There's too much with these believers that they've been waiting for it so long and they've got nothing to think about but overtaking bitcoin. It's not even being traded on any exchange or if there's any then it is only available on its own platform. Don't waste your time looking and being curious with that project.
Many believe it and most of them are newbies who have very little knowledge about how cryptocurrencies work, even how to get the coins by just installing the application on their smartphone they consider it as mining, that's indicates that the believers do not also know how mining works which requires equipment and resources
Some of those newbies were told to "Lock UP" their pi coin for a certain number of years to earn more Pi coins of their investment, I tried to convince some them  on unrealistic about such venture, unfortunately turned a deaf ear to my explanation, infact a guy in my country is offering coffee in exchange for pi coin he is hoping to accumulate as many pi coin as possible with the hope of recouping his investment in the nearest future when pi coin is launched in an exchange having the mindset that pi coin will thrive well and higher than Bitcoin in term of price, believe me those guys remain adamant despite all my explanations on fruitless mining their so-called pi coins.
1419  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading With Borrowed Funds!!! on: December 26, 2022, 09:33:38 AM
It is true that some people have become rich through crypto trading in the recent times. But considering the high risk involved in trading, do you think it's proper/wise to trade with borrowed funds as your capital irrespective of your trading experience?
Borrowing fund to trade is highly risky, this is a worst decision to be taken, instead secure your fund from other sources like salary and grow the fund via trading because in trading nothing is guaranteed experience traders do make mistakes imagine losing huge borrowed fund via trading, meanwhile there are some fraudulent traders who flaunt their fake profits on social media in a bid to entice newbies in subscribing to their channels or paid signals thus prompting some of these newbies to go and borrow fund to trade, please don't get carried away with those traders who faked themselves as rich traders.

Arsenal are good at maintaining a solid team performance. Jesus' absence is not good of course but they are accustomed to play without him indeed. There was a long time period that he didn't score even for once. But Arsenal still continued to defeat their opponents by having productive games as well. This is enough proof for the strong bond between the players.

West Ham are not in good condition at all. This break was a chance for them to think about what they were doing wrong of course. But still I don't think they can steal any point in Emirates.
Nketiah will step into the shoe of Gabriel Jesus as their main striker today against West Ham, Martinelli and Saka will retain their position at the wings, Xhaka, Partey and Odegaard retain their midfield position respectively while Aaron Ramsdale manned the post still a compact team obviously I am expecting Arsenal to continue with their fine form without injured Gabriel Jesus possibly if their is a substitution Martinelli can switch over to be their striker if Nketiah is taken out, Arsenal is still very formidable thus West Ham wouldn't pose any serious threat to Arsenal securing their three maximum points today.
