Yup - they have my BTC all tied up to play with. Pending Withdrawal.

AKA - we stole your money for a few days but promise to return it. Unless we go under. Then oh well.
1422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy.com won't let me withdraw - is this the end? on: December 19, 2013, 02:47:31 AM
Yes. Been waiting over a day for mine. I am 100% sure they were playing with everyones money.

And there is no way to cancel a pending deposit. So they freeze your money so they can use it.
They will not let you use it on their own site.

I asked them 5 times to cancel withdrawal and posted about 10 posts in the forums. Just kind
of going ballistic nonstop now.

I suggest everyone do this.
1423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Craptsy, I want my damn coins! on: December 19, 2013, 02:45:11 AM
There is no way to cancel Pending Withdrawals. So you will not be able to buy more coins on cryptsy or anywhere for days.
They will NOT reply ever to you. They will hold the money as your punishment for trying to withdraw so you NEVER do it again.
So any money you make there is a waste of time because you lose it back not being able to move it back to USD in a crash.

I've lost a lot because my money is frozen. They are holding because of the crash. They are playing the market
with the money and lost half.

Be scared. Say a prayer.
1424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOGECOIN NOW ON Cryptsy! YAYYYY on: December 19, 2013, 02:41:58 AM
Warning again. If you think you are going to put DOGE on cryptsy and make money. You will regret it.

It's crashing over there. It's (DOGE) down 50% in 1 hour.

AND guess what - when you do sell at a loss you will have your withrawal frozen.

They are not letting ANYONE take money out since the crash.
1425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOGECOIN NOW ON Cryptsy! YAYYYY on: December 18, 2013, 11:15:49 PM
I am warning you guys. Don't do it right now. They are holding ALL withdrawals.

Please read the forums about them and look at their support forums.
1426  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: December 18, 2013, 10:54:16 PM
I lost a ton because they started holding my funds during the crash. Now they will not cancel my withdrawal so I cannot even use them.
I've lost 3x now.

So I have been going all night typing everywhere I can until I get my funds back. I used them exclusively and defended
them left and right. Now I am burned.

So I have my hands... I will type non-stop on every site - forum.. everywhere. 20 years of marketing online put behind it.

So disturbed and pissed now.

And yes they are holding many thousands of peoples funds and deleting peoples tickets.
1427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOGECOIN NOW ON Cryptsy! YAYYYY on: December 18, 2013, 10:48:08 PM
Be warned. There is some serious problems at Cryptsy right now. I have been using the site for awhile now
and trusted them but that is not the case now.

They are holding EVERYONES withdrawals. Yes. Since the crash started they are not letting anything out of that site
all day. Check the forums here and there.

Be WARNED. So even if I wanted to go buy DOGE and move it there. I couldn't. I can't move my BTC.
I have lost money because I could not sell my BTC yesterday. Now I lose more because I cannot buy.

You will find NO ONE selling any of the new coins they listed on the site right now for the last 30 mins.
There is a reason.
1428  Other / Archival / Re: deleted by request on: December 18, 2013, 10:43:37 AM
Now they are holding deposits pending while the market crashes. I could have sold 5 hours ago.
So it's essentially confirmed they are using people's money to play the market.

They got caught in the down swing and now have frozen withdrawals.

So I lost a small fortune because of this.

There was a guy who did this before once. He is the guy that ran payment processing for adult sites all over the world.
He would lag on payouts for months while he used the money to play the markets. Christopher Mallick was the name. Paycom.

Exact same thing is going on here. I really liked the site and helped them earn some nice trade fees.
I supported them everywhere.
I guess this is the reward.

Stuff like this will kill this whole industry.
1429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Exchange] Latest Cryptsy Additions, News and announcements. NEW SITE on: December 18, 2013, 08:49:26 AM
Withdrawal pending for 3 hours.

Basically stole money from me now. I guess that's what good customers get.
I did withdrawals from Coins-E and they were instant. Along with some other silly little website.

So Cryptsy is basically holding people's funds and playing with them for sure now.
It's confirmed.

Now banks do that all the time. And it's fine. But Banks don't say "Hey umm.. hold on. I need to borrow your money
for a bit. You can't withdraw it. Just have a seat while you lose 50% off the top. Then you can have it back. And thanks for the
understanding. I know you need your money but we need it more."

Banks aren't saints but this is bull.
1430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Exchange] Latest Cryptsy Additions, News and announcements. NEW SITE on: December 18, 2013, 07:40:54 AM
I've been a big fan of Cryptsy until tonight. Over the last 24 hours my BTC withdrawals are "Pending"
for hours. Every one of them. So now instead of converting to fiat during the crash I am sitting here
losing money.

Why when the price crashes do withdrawals start to become "pending"? Is that a coincidence?
So they make money instead of me off my own money?

Pretty concerned. I know my funds are safe but now they are 15-20% less because I couldn't sell my BTC.

edit -- soon to be 30-40% less because they will not leave pending status. No other site has withdrawals pending...
What does that mean anyway. Pending. This really pisses me off. Pretty much used them exclusively since day
one. That's over.

Made me smile. I know.
It's always like this when new tech is in the "wild west" stage.
Just like the Adult internet days in the mid 90's.

I smell 20 new exchanges popping up.

1432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency - many coin - wow - v1.1 Released on: December 18, 2013, 04:08:57 AM
This is impressive.

DOGE is UP compared to BTC all day. It's actually the safest place to have kept your funds the last 2 days.
Who would have thought. BTC right now down - DOGE UP.

All other Alts down.
1433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PHS][PoS] Philosopher Stones- Fast | PoW-PoS | ASIC Resistance on: December 18, 2013, 03:35:30 AM
The price is dropping like other coins, any particular reason or is it just following the other coin trends?  Also, is there any other markets taking on the coin?  I noticed btc38 has the coin listed but I dont think its available for trading yet?

When BTC goes down almost all alts go down 25%-75%.

This coin is in the 25% range so top of the pack in stability.
When you look to buy coins always pick one where the Dev actually is still alive. Like this one Smiley
He is posting multiple times today.

There are like dozens of alts that are dead dead... and people still buy them.
Where would you rather have your money? In a company that has an office but it's been empty for a year
and cobwebs have formed. Or in a company that has clean offices and all everyone in their chairs.

PHS is the cream.
1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PHS][PoS] Philosopher Stones- Fast | PoW-PoS | ASIC Resistance on: December 18, 2013, 02:46:51 AM
Thanks. I just got your new 1.2.6 client and I mined my first PHS coin on dmd.minar.cc pool.

I am brand new to this coin, and I have a question:

How does interest work on a cryptocoin such as PHS?

The Philosopherstone site says: "Philosopherstone provides annual interest rate of 50%, for stakes that are not moved during the period. This equivalent to 3.44% monthly interest. PoS blocks will be generated if the stake is held for more than 5-10 days."

Does this mean if I own 500 PHS coins, then after 1 year if I do not touch them, I willl suddenly have 750 PHS?

Can someone explain fully what happens and how interest works?

Lastly, wouldn't that mean there would be way more than 8.8 million total PHS coins made, due to the interest growth? it would seem there would be no actual limit to the number of coins in circulation.

Well after 5-10 days you will notice a transaction show up in your same wallet with new stones, and then this would repeat every 5-10days (Or when you run the client).  You can see these payments here:
http://www.phsblocks.com/

I also put a screenshot of it working on one of the first couple posts on this thread, that might give you a better idea.

8.8 Million was the original estimate of Mined PoW coins, but the PoS activity is bringing this number down, considerably. The cap limit, and coin generation is adjustable and can be changed if a majority of coinholders and miners want to do so at a later date.

The current number of coins that exists is 1,498,297 PHS. Where do you think the available number of coins could be in 1 month?
1435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: December 18, 2013, 02:35:21 AM
Thanks for adding Philosopher's Stone (PHS) Gliss. Finally a great dev and a fair coin getting some limelight.
Looks like it's getting some play on Crypsty.

It was already going up steady last few weeks and I like that it's starting with a low cap.
You also get PoW interest from holding coins. They are nice and rare on top of that.
Like no sell resistance. Totally undervalued.

As I typed this it went up 30% ... hmm ,be right back lol
1436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PHS][PoS] Philosopher Stones- Fast | PoW-PoS | ASIC Resistance on: December 18, 2013, 02:21:14 AM
Congratulations! As of a few minutes ago Philosopher's Stone is on Coinmarketcap.com.

There is little sell resistance on this coin all the way to 0.00060000 and beyond.

Currently at 0.00022764. Considering BTC is down right now and this coin has pretty much done nothing but go up.
And I love the PoW interest factor. Holding makes you more coins.

And then there is this - 8.891 million max coins :
"Expected total mined coins will be 8,891,840 Philosopherstones (Current estimate <3million)"
And only 1,497,659 PHS exist now.

I like the fact it didn't go down 50-70% like some of the other alts the last 2 days.

Well here we go.... Something to take the sting off the last 2 days.
1437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: December 16, 2013, 11:08:13 PM

##If a coin is removed it has been done automatically by the script. It means that the block explorer is down.
 ##Please check your block explorers.

Next coin after Philosopher's stone would be nice to see Orbitcoin [ORB]. It's like the only coin that stable today
with BTC and others down. It just got listed on Cryptsy and they haven't put any new coins up in awhile.

Will get a ABE block explorer showing total coins and hope to see Orbitcoin [ORB] soon.

Thanks!
1438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [GIVEAWAY] 5 ORBITCOIN / EACH on: December 16, 2013, 10:59:31 PM
The official post for the coin is actually on another Forum.

https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/927-orbitcoin-orb-official-release-thread/page-5

They got rid of their pre-mine. Cleaned up the coin. The Dev is a good guy and made things right.
The coin is very rare. 700 coins per day. Also they took the original premine and are giving it away
to miners right now at 2000 coins per day. So total minable coins per day is 2700 over the next 300
days. After that the mining drops to 700 again for the next... something like 3500 years. No kidding.

So there will essentially not be more than 1 million coins anytime soon ever. I think there are like 300k
out right now only. And that will go to one million about but that will take almost 1 year. After that... forget
it. 0.25 coins per block - 700 coins per day.

I like.

Oh ya... they just got back up on Crypsty just last night. Only new coin that has been put up in awhile.
1439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALL COINS DOING BADLY TODAY WHY?? on: December 16, 2013, 10:30:37 PM

AND this ^^

Will be a slow few days. Nice time to buy though.. wow.
1440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALL COINS DOING BADLY TODAY WHY?? on: December 16, 2013, 10:28:05 PM
The reason is more than obvious. I sold a bunch of stuff also.

Christmas presents. There are tens of thousands of people selling coins to get their money out to buy gifts and for the holidays.

If I shed 10-15% so did everyone else on average I am sure. It's the holidays.
