1181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Great Alt Depression has arrived. on: January 14, 2014, 10:31:20 AM
Well after having about half my coins either pending withdraw or missing deposit in the span of a few days with sites that used
to be relatively fair I have to say things are not good around town right now. I think the exchanges start to
go nasty when the volume drops and the prices deflate. They are getting a little desperate and some are resorting
to pretty messed up tactics. Even with active traders.

I will give you all a warning. The older Alts are deflating from their pumps. This will go on for awhile. 1 week... 2 weeks.. 4 weeks?
Be careful.

I am officially out of business for now and hope to come back soon after my battles with Cryptsy and BTER to get my coins back.
I moved some from one that screwed me earlier to another that screwed me today. Something is going a little wrong out there right now.
Straight up lost the coins or will not respond. Not good when considering those are the two main exchanges. Mining is a little bit safer
right now but if you want to trade coins often or arbitrage then good luck with that right now. Every time you move your coins you have a
decent chance of them being tied up for a week or getting lost.

Watch your money and don't trust any of these exchanges right now. The only ones that have no serious issues for me are coinedup
and BTC-E. All the rest have screwed me for now. I read into BTER and they seem to be taking people's BTC randomly. Especially lately.

I think there needs to be some big shakeups coming as this plays out. Then things should improve but don't expect new
people to stick around in Crypto when they encounter deflation and exchanges that scam them.

It's too bad. These things happen when things are new. Watch out for now! Keep low and keep a tight hold on your coins.

BTC and keep it safe.
Agree.
The altcoins are dead
Send me all your altcoins to me.
Thanks  Smiley

I would but they are gone. BTER and Cryptsy took them.
1182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Exchange 0daycoins.com legit or a scam ? feedback please on: January 14, 2014, 09:56:11 AM

Most exchanges are scamming now. Even Cryptsy and BTER. BTER just took my BTC today even.
Never had any issues before with them.

It's bad out there. Things are going downhill.

Coinedup and BTC-E have been great for me though but be careful out there.
1183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The Great Alt Depression has arrived. on: January 14, 2014, 09:38:37 AM

Nevermind.. heh.
1184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I too late in cryptocurrency world? on: January 14, 2014, 09:20:55 AM

Maybe come back in a 2-4 weeks.

Looks like everything is dying right now except BTC. Exchanges are grabbing people's coins at random.
Pending withdrawals for days for hundreds of people.

The alt coins are deflating from their pumps. Check back later.
Be careful of the exchanges. I think coinedup is the only one that is run by a decent human being.
Cryptsy and BTER are dangerous right now. They put me out of commission in the span of day.

Moved coins from one that screwed me to another that screwed me when I moved them.
Never had problems this bad until now.

Something wrong is happening. Come back when the money comes back.... trust me.

1185  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does anyone have any contact with BTER.com? 50 mBTC to anyone who can help on: January 14, 2014, 07:38:17 AM

BTC deposit missing all day. No contact from support.

1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Exchange] Bter.com Announcements [ProtoShare/PTS is added] on: January 14, 2014, 07:36:40 AM

Missing my coins all day now.
So this is just me? Anyone else selling BTC on this site lose deposits?
1187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [ N O T I C E ] Cryptsy withdrawal and deposit holds master thread. on: January 14, 2014, 06:25:18 AM

Still waiting

1188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [ N O T I C E ] Cryptsy withdrawal and deposit holds master thread. on: January 14, 2014, 03:57:51 AM

The amateur trolling and blatant FUD in this thread are hilarious as well as epic.

~BCX~

No its not. This way users know to get coins in ahead of time and what to expect. I missed out on a ton of money due to the lock up of a coin for over 24 hours. I am not the only one. There is nothing funny about it at all.

Express is just playing. He messes with Cryptsy all the time. Check his posts. He's not a fan. No one likes their money held for a week while they lose it all.
He also hates Alt coins. Which is understandable sometimes.

Or as he put it once :

"This is total bullshit.

Cryptsy is the king of withdrawal issues.

Fucking BTER trying to steal BigVern's thunder.

Ain't cool.

~BCX~"
1189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [ N O T I C E ] Cryptsy withdrawal and deposit holds master thread. on: January 14, 2014, 03:56:59 AM
Now it looks like BTER.com is having major BTC deposit issues today. They changed wallet addresses on me and others it seems.

BE WARNED BTER BTC deposits missing in transfer January 13th

Avoid BTER until I hear back. Waiting on support. I have to say BTER has been pretty great usually but I have to let
people know about this one as they seem to have some issues today.

Will update.

Also IFC hold going on 7 days soon here. 4 tickets and multiple support people keep sending me the same form e-mail.

1190  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bter.com cannot withdraw currency/funds on: January 14, 2014, 03:24:35 AM
So something is going on for sure with these guys. I will be posting nonstop online and here in the forums until it's resolved.
My BTC DEPOSIT (yes deposit) is missing now. 25 Confirmations. They changed my wallet address today.
I am waiting for support.

I have never had a single issue with them before but now reading all this I am super worried.

BTC deposit -- no BTC in my BTER account. I guess it's time to start a 24 hour typing festival of non-stop complaints.
Between these guys and Cryptsy this is a really bad sign for Crypto these days. Feels like a crypto recession is coming for
Alt coins. Maybe time to just grab your BTC and put it away for a few months.

I will be happy to stop and edit all my posts as soon as I get my money.
1191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [ N O T I C E ] Cryptsy withdrawal and deposit holds master thread. on: January 13, 2014, 10:28:19 PM
Amazing. Still no change in any of these. I'm still waiting myself on IFC. Support contacted me 3 times but they just seem
to be trying to make me go away and forget about it.
1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - NEW COIN JUST LAUNCHED] *EarthCoin* Is Here To Make A Splash For 2014! on: January 13, 2014, 08:49:05 AM
Just a quick top level view:

Most volume on Cryptsy:

Doge -  375 (BTC)
LTC   -  209
EAC   -   81
QUARK - 78
BTB    -  54

price may flux but this is amazing to see for us.

By tomorrow the Volume will be near 250-400 BTC. All the weak hands will be gone.

When Doge was listed there were 10% of the coins being generated daily.
EAC is only about 2% of total being generated. 1/5th the dumping of DOGE.

The volume on CMC is off by 5 fold almost.
$ 29,478
http://coinmarketcap.com/
Should be $100k at least now. Maybe someone can let Gliss know.
1193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - NEW COIN JUST LAUNCHED] *EarthCoin* Is Here To Make A Splash For 2014! on: January 13, 2014, 08:47:10 AM
I partially agree. If EAC's long-term agenda is convincing and the team demonstrates a good development effort, then why not. But in most cases, even the most ambitious teams can't prevent the downfall of a coin once it hits Cryptsy. We'll see what happens.

Edit: Honestly, "long-term" in the alt-world screams scam. Why? There's no material backing. Coins can fluctuate and crash to their death in less than a hour. The "long-term investors" are then left with worthless coins. IMO, there's no such thing. Stay updated with the market and ride the short-term wave. Much safer.

You do realize that every single older coin on Cryptsy since October has gone up right?
The % gains are insane. Many of them still rise. Like 95% of the coins on the site are up overall.

There was a huge rush inflating everything like crazy in December. Then a deflate back to stable levels. Now expect a rise over months to come.
In terms of all Alt coins.

You have no idea what is coming. 2014 will bring 10 fold or more increases to the whole industry.
1194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - NEW COIN JUST LAUNCHED] *EarthCoin* Is Here To Make A Splash For 2014! on: January 13, 2014, 07:33:41 AM
The price is slowly rising. This is unusual for a coin in first few hours. Usually just starts high and goes down.
This shows smart miners holding.

Good work. I am buying.

Keep raising the price nice and slow. There is no reason not to be at 0.00001000 tomorrow. If coins like TIX and IFC can be at 5-10 million this should be as well.
I think that would be like 0.00001600 right?
1195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EARTHCOIN TO BE RELEASED ON CRYPTSY!!!! WITHIN A FEW DAYS on: January 13, 2014, 12:27:02 AM
Price looks like it dropped to me in the last few days.
1196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [ N O T I C E ] Cryptsy withdrawal and deposit holds master thread. on: January 12, 2014, 11:29:35 PM
Cryptsy is at fault I have just checked the IFC network from several angles and it is working perfectly!

Thanks for the confirmation. Looking forward to getting Cryptsy to fix this. There are many
people that are stuck still. Once Crypsy fixes the issue we can update the thread to show they resolved it.

I agree this is a issue with Cryptsy. It's rather clear at this point. Please note this thread is directed to warn
people of which coins Cryptsy cannot transfer without possible SERIOUS problems.

If you moved a coin out to sell it somwhere and found your funds frozen for a week and not able to trade anymore
you would have wished you read this.

All we can do is wait.

1197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INFINITECOIN – 1.8.5 UPDATE CLIENT! NEW DEV, NEW THREAD! on: January 12, 2014, 11:22:47 PM

People have been having deposit and withdrawal issues with IFC. Please make sure blockchain issues are resolved
if they were not already.

Not sure if Cryptsy is the problem or the IFC blockchain is the issue. Please contact Cryptsy to help them
resolve if possible. This coin is the number #1 stuck coin at Cryptsy right now for withdrawals for over 1 week now.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=411671.0

There are investors and traders that are totally out of luck right now with their coins stuck for days or even a week or more.

We want to help raise the value of the coin. But for now we are in trouble here.

Thanks!

As far as I know our network issues have been resolved for some time, is anyone having network issues OUTSIDE of Cryptsy? I am willing to bet they are simply attempting to deflect responsibility for their own systems failures. Please reflect this information in your thread. You can look in the block explorer yourself to prove there are regular transactions and the network is flowing. You draw the conclusion immediately that the IFC network is at fault when Cryptsy has been having severe issues for some time now. This is not fair to a community who has worked very hard to resolve these issues and is quite a deceptive thing for Cryptsy to tell people.

http://exploretheblocks.com:2750/chain/Infinitecoin?count=500&hi=573233

I have updated the thread. The blame lies with Cryptsy. They seem to have serious issues with large transfers of large number coins.
I have been pressuring them for a several weeks to fix the issues. Looking forward to the community here doing the same. Let's all
keep the pressure on. I know of many people that have given up and are still waiting. You can find them in cryptsy support section.

For now your coins cannot be taken out of cryptsy without very high risk of being stuck for a week or more. There are dozens of people with IFC stuck at
this moment.

1198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DVC]DevCoin - Official Thread - Moderated on: January 12, 2014, 11:15:25 PM
Hi, yesterday something very strange happened to me. I send dvc coins from my wallet to cryptsy, now 10 hours later, after 50 confirmations the coins still didn't arrive. Just before I send the coins I had a message;" there is some pc with the same ip-address at your network". I thought maybe is one of my other pc's.
Is there anyone who understands was is going on?

Thanks for helping.
It's cryptsy

There are other coins as well to be aware of :

Be careful until they fix the issues. And always do some test sends with Cryptsy. Deposits and withrawals.
1199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [ N O T I C E ] Cryptsy withdrawal and deposit holds master thread. on: January 12, 2014, 11:04:00 PM

With coins like DOGE .. CENT .. COL .. IFC.. DVC getting stuck. It's a lot of coins with large numbers.
Maybe it's something to do with large number coin transfers and the way Cryptsy handles these transfers?

I am always seeing CENT taken offline there. And tons of issues with those above coins.

Does anyone know if that is the likely problem? The way Cryptsy is handling these coins with large amounts in the transfers.
1200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [ N O T I C E ] Cryptsy withdrawal and deposit holds master thread. on: January 12, 2014, 10:22:14 PM
The latest regarding IFC stuck coins at Cryptsy :

I spoke with the Devs at IFC and they have told me their network is running perfectly and
that any stuck coin issues should be directed to Cryptsy.

So for the many people with their coins stuck for days please keep on Cryptsy. Do
not stop until they fix the issue. If anyone has heard anything about it from them let us know.

Also I am seeing more people having issues with DOGE for longer hold times. Updated this as well.
These issues can be searched through here :
