1421  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 20, 2014, 12:30:34 PM
I am currently pessimistic about the chances of the price ever getting much higher than now
I bet you 1 bitcoin that some time during the lifespan of bitcoin the price will rise above the $580 range.  If this does not happen in the next 5 years, I give you a bitcoin.  Sound fair?
And if the price does go above 580$ I owe you nothing? It's a deal, I happen to have 0 BTC to spare. Oops, looks like you already won, contratulations.  Grin

This is why you shouldn't listen to bears.
1422  Economy / Speculation / Re: USD Swap demand on Bitfinex has never been so high on: June 20, 2014, 12:03:38 PM
Thankyou for the explanation TERA.
Technically the market was supported on a bubble that will burst if no more money is put in and this will make the price fall?

Correct ?

Duke

Hello, please never ever take advice from trolls like Tera. She is known here for her doom predictions. Basically all she does on this forum is telling people we will go down. Just like she did with you.
She will manage to turn ANY situation into something bearish. It's beyond pathetic but that's the life of bear trolls.
The only difference between tera and fonzie/falling is that tera includes charts.  She is a very good troll
1423  Economy / Speculation / Re: I give up. on: June 20, 2014, 12:01:50 PM
this thread was started by someone who feels its acceptable to ask for btc donations for his daughters chemo...and then posts a picture of someone else's child to back up his request.

think enuff said.

have fun in fiat land..we will not miss you here!
He was being sarcastic... And that was very obvious in the thread.

Oh and a sell off before July? This consolidation has bear trap written all over it.
1425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] How Many Bitcoins Do You Own? on: June 20, 2014, 11:43:47 AM
There are already few poll threads about similar question, most of them points that more than 70% people who are into bitcoin acquire <1btc.

Though there are only 26 votes currently, 65% of them own between 1 & 100 BTC

I guess people are constantly increasing their BTC holdings.
Everybody lies.

Also another factor is that owning 10 is a very good milestone in case bitcoin ever reaches $100,000
1426  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if Mark Zuckerburg sold his shares to buy Bitcoins? on: June 20, 2014, 07:30:48 AM
Definitely not. He is secretly trying to destroy Bitcoin by supporting other altcoins such as the Devcoin. The reasons are well known to everyone (association of Winkelwii with Bitcoin). So it is not that surprising.

Doubt Zuckerburg would join the Bitcoin wagon for a while since he has his grudges with the Winkelwii he might hedge his bets and purchase a few but in my opinion he will move into alternative protocols like NXT Mastercoin Darkcoin Ethereum or something of that sort to spite the Winkelwii and make a second competing currency

That or invest in Litecoin just to mess with them lol.
I think he is smart enough to see that supporting alts instead of bitcoin is swimming upstream, and when everyone else accepts bitcoin his motives will be very clear.
1427  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 20, 2014, 07:28:29 AM
so if the SR coins don't touch the exchanges, they won't affect the price? or if the selling price is made public in the news, will that become new selling price?
If it does not touch the exchanges, it won't have any more influence on the price than your typical 'x company accepts bitcoin' news story.
1428  Economy / Speculation / Re: Google Wallet + Facebook apply for banking license on: June 20, 2014, 07:24:05 AM
Honestly with Bitcoin apps on your phone using NFC (same technology as google wallet and visa's version) it will be just easy to pay with bitcoins as it will/would be with other payment services.
Yup people forget bitcoin is not a finished product.
1429  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bitcoin bubble bursted, we are going down to $5xx on: June 20, 2014, 07:21:17 AM
see? the down trend just started Smiley

$5xx $4xx $3xx
Let me guess it is going to take another year or two to get back to $600?
1430  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bubble incoming! $3800 - $4000 expected on: June 19, 2014, 02:54:52 PM
The thing with TERA is she posts hundreds of charts, so one of them is bound to be right.
Exactly.
1431  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dreamspeculation Thread (latest post by op: Predicted flash crash) on: June 19, 2014, 11:49:45 AM
Had a dream last night.

The price was rising manically fast - so fast that charts could not keep up and were crashing.  Could not see the price but it was rising so fast that you could not tell someone what the price was because it would have risen loads more by the time you have spoken.

1432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is China so important for Bitcoin? on: June 19, 2014, 10:43:27 AM
China is not important at all. In many ways China banning bitcoin can be considered good simply because the US would hate to ban bitcoin and being compared to China.
1433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Marshall's auction.... It's a trap !!! on: June 19, 2014, 10:40:24 AM
Out of interest, do all coins need to be purchased by one buyer?  Or can they be split?
1434  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bubble incoming! $3800 - $4000 expected on: June 19, 2014, 09:41:49 AM
I wish TERA would make another illustrated prediction so we can add it to our collections of Goofy Forecasts Grin

Didn't Tera turn bull a few weeks ago though?

Aside from the usual trolls pretty much everyone is bullish right now.
In terms of short term trading (the next 6 months) I was bullish for the past 6 weeks, until 550 was breached. Now I am neutral and think there is an equal chance of rallying and of beginning a C wave down and the next 2 weeks of consolidation will be critical.

Long term I have always been bullish and remain bullish.

Jesus you keep that bullish enthusiasm well hidden.
Hahaha Tera don't you think it is a strong indicator that everyone except you thinks you are too negative?
It's an indicator that everyone is short sighted.
So you are right and everyone else is wrong?  Roll Eyes
Why not? Last year, when price was at 800 range everybody was laughing at rpetilla who said that he is leaving the forum until price drops to 500. The price have dropped. He was right and everybody else wrong.
After the gox drop to 400 even repietlia claimed it was never going below 500something again, and I was the one who corrected him and said it was going to 300s, and ended up being right.
Prove it.

1436  Economy / Speculation / Re: Avarus on: June 19, 2014, 08:08:30 AM
Never heard of this company before so I did some digging.

CEO: Paul Howarth

Mr. Howarth is also related to a company called Graystone. A mining company...gold mining. Very interesting.

http://www.graystone1.com/

Perhaps some others have more info to share about Avarus!  Thanks

Wrong forum

This is related to the SR coins. Avarus was one of the names on the email list of interested parties. I'm speculating on why they would be interested in buying 3,000+ BTC...thus it belongs in this forum
They have the cash to splash and see bitcoin as potentially a lucrative opportunity. Same can be said for all bidders.

fiat is going to the moon
LOL Your a half-full kind of guy aren't you?
1439  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bubble incoming! $3800 - $4000 expected on: June 17, 2014, 11:23:53 PM
Most of my charts are not even 'predictions'.  They say something like 'either X OR Y could happen", or "if A happens, then X will happen, and if B happens then Y will happen". One of the options is a bull option and one is a bear option (almost always short term in nature).  People become very upset that I would state that there is even a chance that the price could go down at some point and that it isn't 100% absolutely certain to be moonbound in the immediate future. So I am called bearish,  but I like to think of it is as simply being realist, or just providing objective neutral TA.
Again you are not seeing the full extent of your negativity.  All of your charts are based on bitcoin going no where or falling.  I do not mean this in a bad way, but no one is going to care about your charts until you become more open minded.  It feels as if all of your charts are hugely biased by your bearish tendency and renders them useless
