1423  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Usagi: falsifying NAVs, manipulating share prices and misleading investors. on: December 25, 2012, 05:08:34 AM
usagi, please stop feeding the drama.

Then why did you cause it? You took potshots against me for months, despite nothing ever coming of the scam accusation threads. You sit there and tell me to stop feeding the drama but it's your drama, you made it.

No, you made the drama by deleting thousands of posts, by coming back here telling everyone how many hours you'd put into your Japanese language venture when you hadn't even sorted out the post GLBSE clusterfuck and now by trying to open a new listing which basically involves trying to sell people shares in stuff you already own.  Your internet history shows one drama after another going back years, and they all have a similar pattern.

No-one's ever going to convince you that you've done anything wrong with any of your ventures because you're so fucking delusional that you refuse to accept that the great usagi can ever be wrong.  You say that you invested with the PPTs because no-one trusted you, but apparently you refuse to look at why that was the case.  And when you pull the "other people did too" bullshit, you sound like BFL.  That others may have made the same wrong judgements you made doesn't make you less responsible for yours.

If you want to play fund manager, you don't get to blame it on someone else when your judgement proves flawed.  It was foreseeable that pirate's ponzi would collapse and take the PPT operators down and it's ridiculous to claim that it wasn't.  If anything, you need to explain why you turned to them in spite of that knowledge and the best you've come up with so far is that people didn't trust you so you decided to try to give yourself credibility by association.

It doesn't matter whether you're an intentional scammer or not.  You're unstable as shit and your own actions have utterly destroyed any chance you had at redeeming yourself.  You need to wrap this up and move on to your next obsession.

Take it to IRC or email or reddit.  You're incapable of not being a drama queen here.  And I am sorry about your health problems but perhaps you should be sort those out first before trying to take on business ventures which are going to be inherently stressful even if successful, never mind if they fail (and failure is always a risk in business, and an especially high one in the kinds of Bitcoin enterprises you chose to launch).
1424  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Usagi: falsifying NAVs, manipulating share prices and misleading investors. on: December 25, 2012, 04:36:34 AM
usagi, please stop feeding the drama.  You're saying how tired you are but you've wasted a ridiculous amount of energy in pointless arguments on here which could have been better spent on finding ways to close out your previous ventures.  You need to disengage your emotions and your ego from all of this and focus on the practical.

What's done is done.  It doesn't matter why you made the decisions you did in the past - you did and they can't be changed.  Stop wasting energy on defending them because it achieves absolutely nothing except exhausting and overwhelming you.

You need to think about whether you can close out your previous ventures without posting here or you're just going to waste even more energy on pointless shitfights and it's not going to benefit your shareholders one bit.

1425  Other / Off-topic / Re: Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from the Crypto X Change Team on: December 25, 2012, 03:45:47 AM
It's funny how people complain when someone necro's an old post yet when it actually happens they complain about someone actually searching it out Tongue

In this case there's the potential for confusion.  CryptoXchange ceased trading in November.  If people don't notice the date of the original post they might get the impression that they're going to relaunch in the new year.
1426  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitMarket.Eu - ownership changed (in a way) on: December 25, 2012, 02:52:33 AM

But please, don't put me in the same bag with mybitcoin. The guy just dissapeared with people's funds and provided no solution for this. Also, his core business was storing the coins safely, which he completely broke. I on the other hand did everything in my power to provide great exchange experience, and this was going quite well I think. It's a shane that I failed on the storage part...

You cannot be serious.  You stole user funds.  Whether you "invested" them with Bitcoinica, used them to play at the casino, bought lottery tickets with them, used them to play the stock market, placed them with pirate, or spent them on hookers and blow is irrelevant.  Risking other people's funds without their permission is not doing "everything in my power to provide great exchange experience".  If people wanted to risk shorting on Bitcoinica they would have done that themselves rather than leaving their funds with you for safe-keeping.

Don't blame Bitcoinica for the fact that you misappropriated user funds.  That's like blaming the trainer if you'd taken user funds and bet on a losing horse at the race track.

About to start the Christmas Eve dinner thing.  Hope you all have a safe and happy Christmas whatever you do and whoever you spend it with.

See you on the other side.

Absolutely.
1430  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who here wants to take a big dump on MtGox? on: December 23, 2012, 07:14:18 PM
I've honestly been waiting for something like this.  I think "currency" exchanges like MtGox are dinosaurs who'll find it hard to survive in the long term as more options for buying and selling Bitcoins become available and speculating on BTC price can be done on general "stock" type exchanges.  MtGox needs to re-invent itself.  It was very necessary to the infant Bitcoin economy, but it's no longer sufficient.
1431  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: mt.gox - how long does it take to add my funds to acc? on: December 23, 2012, 12:13:01 PM
Yeah, the weekend's just about to end in Japan but tomorrow is the Emperor's Birthday Holiday.

Mt Gox has already advised that they'll be working in a limited capacity from 24 December to 7 January.  It's a 5 day weekend in Japan next weekend, too so it's not the ideal time of year for doing stuff involving banks.

Dear customers and friends! It is, once again, the period of the year where most of you will spend time with relatives, loved ones and friends for some well earned holidays and for some fun!  While Bitcoin never seems to stop, we at Mt.Gox like you are just merely mortal humans that sometimes also need some rest and fun!  This is why, from December 24th to January 7th, Mt.Gox will work in limited capacity while still being able to help you whenever a question arises or regarding your account.

Is 24th a bank holiday in Japan?

List of bank holidays in many countries:

Even with it being a bank holiday, Mt. Gox has "just merely mortal humans that sometimes also need some rest and fun!" they say:

Too bad there isn't a payment network that is 24/7, and doesn't rely on humans.

Oh wait, ...

Yeah, it's a better idea to look at cultural practises rather than just official holidays.  An awful lot of places here in Australia are now shut down until 7 January or 14 January and many others will have only skeleton staffing during that time.
1436  Economy / Speculation / Re: A very long weekend? on: December 22, 2012, 10:16:33 AM
It's the Emperor's Birthday holiday according to the Bank of Japan calendar I looked up.

The following weekend looks to be a 5 day long weekend with the 31st December being a bank holiday, 1 January being the New Year's Day holiday, and 2 January another bank holiday.  There's another national holiday on 14 January for Coming-of-Age day.

She's one of my favourite posters.  Her lack of tact is one of her best qualities - because she's not out to win a popularity contest, she says things this community sorely needs to hear and inevitably ruffles feathers and bruises egos in the process.  People dismiss it as trolling because they don't want to accept that she's speaking the truth, however unpleasant.  It's easy to attack the messenger when you don't like the message.

If you want even more insight into the philosophy of the organisation she represents, read Mircea Popescu's blog some time.  Just because he's arrogant doesn't mean he's not right about the strengths and weaknesses in the current Bitcoin ecosystem.  People need to get over wanting their truths sugar coated, because the truth is that once really big players enter the Bitcoin universe they aren't going to give a damn about people's egos and they're going totally devour those who can't play hard ball.

1438  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dank Dream 2012 on: December 22, 2012, 05:19:07 AM
why are you guys doxing him? who cares.  Hopefully today will be a wake up call for dank.

No-one's doxxed him - although I do hope that if he fails to pay squall again tomorrow squall will at least consider asking for a scammer tag as it's pretty obvious from dank's recent posts that he's not financially dependable.
1439  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bitcoinica Consultancy abandons customers. Bitcoinica to enter Liquidation on: December 22, 2012, 12:51:04 AM
Turns out today that Bitmarket.eu was heavily invested in Bitcoinica and got owned as well. Along with most of its customers. Admin held it a secret for half a year until he ran out of funds very recently. A perfect date for the end of yet another exchange.

Just when you thought Team Zhou/Intersango couldn't fuck the Bitcoin project up any more, months later you find out the clusterfuck is even larger than life. That's what they call a domino effect.

Good thing I switched my passion to litecoins a long time ago. No disasters as of yet.

He was using customer funds to short Bitcoin.  You can't blame Bitcoinica for that.  Chances are that he would have kept chasing his losses had Bitcoinica not folded.  At least Bitcoinica's liquidation means there's some possibility of a portion of customer funds being recovered, although that's not much compensation for the fact that someone essentially used their funds to play at the casino without their permission.

Also, businesses making claims in the liquidation should be doing so as businesses and not as individuals.  So at least claim as "Joe Smith trading as Bitcoin Scam 5" instead of just "Joe Smith" - otherwise there are going to be even more legal shit-fights.

It came up around Wichita, Kansas for me.  In his hookah lounge thread he talked about the number of colleges in his town (5?).  I'm guessing that Wichita and Bedminster won't both turn out to have the number of colleges dank mentioned.

I might know who he is IRL, but if so, it's a very small world.

He's mentioned previously that his first name is Sean, although that hasn't been confirmed by any of the people to whom he's sent his ID.
