1421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 25, 2022, 11:07:37 PM
I don't think Butler's skill should be underestimated.  Yes, in the upcoming battle, he is potentially very much inferior to the Japanese.

However, Butler is an experienced and strong fighter.  If he does not lose personal courage and fights with all his strength, then he has a chance to win.  Butler is very unpredictable.  It is not for nothing that this boxer is called the Killer, who has a childish face.  He can outsmart the Japanese.

If the Japanese boxer relaxes, then Butler can launch a surprise attack that will lead to a technical knockout.  Such an option now seems completely unbelievable, but it is possible.

I understand your point there. However, we can't really hide the fact that Butler doesn't have any advantage in this fight. I don't know on what part you consider Butler's experience as an advantage over Inoue. You also called him a strong fighter. And lastly, he is very unpredictable. Might be true if it's against other opponents but we are talking about against Naoya Inoue here.

Didn't you know that all those traits you mentioned were already in Naoya Inoue even before? And there are lots.

That was the reason he was called "The Monster".
1422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: September 25, 2022, 11:01:45 PM
^ He might be a slight underdog, but for me it's better if he will be a huge underdog here, so that it's a win-win situation for Ancajas supporters in terms of bet  Grin.

And maybe if he knows that he become the underdog here, it could added a extra motivation for him, some fuel to the fire and think that he really have to show up and be the champion again. A knock out win will be good. But if it doesn't come, and at the end of the fight he is declared the winner then nothing is going to affect on how we look at it. But it shouldn't be a boring fight (although Filipinos are not known to run, we are all warriors), and then we will see what will his next move is.

Agree with. It's good to place a bet on something that we really like to and the odds for it are worth placing a bet on.

Besides, regardless of the odds or how strong Martinez is compared to Ancajas, there's no way I will bet for the former for an obvious reason. But honestly, even though I'm looking forward to Ancajas winning this match, I still see Martinez still has the upper hand in this fight.

That's why on the day of the match, I want Ancajas to go all-out and reclaim the title that he defend several times in his career.
1423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gacha Game on: September 25, 2022, 10:57:26 PM
Way back then, you will be called as donator if you bought an in game items I remember the game Ran online here which I’m addicted to before. Well, gamers understand the risk and many still want to spend their money for the items that can make their character more better, we might not understand them but this is how they played the game.

Big spender = official server
Donator = private server

Being a donator is not actually a gamble because what they spend will always have sure special items in return. Different from gacha feature where even whales or big spender players spend thousands of $$$, still their desired items are hard to reach.

Honestly, it's even more expensive to play in gacha compare to the usual gambling we have known for. Smiley
1424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 25, 2022, 10:54:21 PM
I am also excited for Kawhi, he did not play the whole season last season. And with the Clippers now have John Wall, I am excited to see the new dynamics in that team.

John Wall also didn't play the whole 2021-22 for the Houston Rockets. His excitement to return must now be at its peak and expect him to slowly return to his usual form, not the same during his prime but a good role player where is known to.

However, we all know that John Wall is now an injury-prone player that started in 2017. He only played 113 games within the last 5 seasons. I hope this season, he can play all of their entire games and if fortunate, can play again in the playoffs.
1425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My worst day in gambling on: September 25, 2022, 10:10:09 PM

I understand that feeling wherein we just want to continue gambling regardless of the risks. It's already common to those people, especially those new to gambling or just recently experienced the feeling of being a big winner. Without the worst experience in gambling, we will never learn.

Just charged it to your experience OP and next time, don't ever stake the money that was originally meant for other important things. You are creating a problem over a problem. Hope you learn your lesson.
1426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 24, 2022, 11:57:30 PM
Whatever it was, it's obvious that his current role on the team is to be a mentor like Haslem for the Heat.

Draymond Green is the advisor and mentor of the Golden State Warriors' young cores for years. Iggy can't replace him. Cheesy

Kidding aside I believed Iggy might boost the performance of his teammates, especially alongside him when they have won a chip. As a former Finals MVP of the Warriors, it's exciting to be reunited with him.

I'm not expecting though that Iggy will have good playing time here but his presence is already enough. Besides, the contract offered is not that decent.
1427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 24, 2022, 11:50:06 PM
The only thing to survive in my opinion is not to dare to deal with toe-to-toe confrontations. I mean not to let
Inoue to box him and allow exchanges of punches.

If Butler will avoid that scenario, he will not win. If surviving is the only goal, what's the purpose of the fight?

He should just take the risks since this is the biggest fight of his career. Regardless of how long their distant, he should just try.

It's fine to see him losing if he tries to fight toe-to-toe with Inoue instead of just avoiding the Monster all the time just to survive. Much better for Butler fans to remember him that way. Smiley
1428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 24, 2022, 11:46:17 PM

Northport is supposed to be on the big news now if they were able to upset the heavy favorites Bay Area Dragons. That was almost a win!

Pre-game betting, NorthPort has a @10 odds to win the game. Aside from that, a tempting handicap was given to them that generalizes how long the distance is between them and the Dragons.

Bay Area Dragons will meet the other 2 teams first before facing an SMC team. I'm waiting for it.
1429  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term investing - Spot, Margin or Derivatives? on: September 24, 2022, 11:43:14 PM
I didn't think you are an idiot. It's just that you test a strategy and since we don't know what will happen next, you end up losing on the process. That's a wonderful experience I should say and not a dumb thing that you did.

What kind of strategy should you do now, I think you already know it but there's a worry that it might lead to you again losing.

I won't say any advice but just continue testing some strategies until you found a working one that's fit on your long-term goals.
1430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A meme coin called baby doge worth this risk? on: September 24, 2022, 12:48:34 PM
I can't mine ETH or any other coins right now but I do find a way that might look good but bad to many, I can mine a meme coin called Baby Doge, I can get 609,000,000 of this token per day but that's because the max supply of the project is enormous, what do you think about Baby Doge, some time back there are a lot of noise about this project, any believer here?

The fact that you have mentioned "some time back there was a lot of noise about this project", and currently seems there's no buzz right now, you should already know what to do. You also mentioned that it might good look but bad to others.

If I will give my own view, definitely no. Not worth my time.

If it's worth your time, only you can answer that. What's the result of your DYOR about that project? From there, decide.
1431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meta universe on: September 22, 2022, 11:59:54 PM
Now on the market, more and more projects related to the meta universe. Tell us what you think the future of this is, and what projects inspire you?

If hype were built, people will always expect that the future is bright as long as the project maintains its good development.

But how do we define "the future is bright"? here? Is it if the project's coin reaches a good market price or if the project is still alive and kicking amid the bear market? There are a lot of concerns for me if the project just becomes hype because of its good price in the market like what happened to some famous P2E games.

To summarize this, no matter how hype the project is, we can't really conclude right away if they will have a bright future. The same happened to other trendy things before like ICO, IEO, IPO, Defi, and many more.
1432  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading = Analysis - (Instinct + Emotions) on: September 22, 2022, 11:59:23 PM
Technical analysis this days seems even more frustrating as candle sticks keeps pushing trades against traders. Because emotions and instincts are been mistaken for analysis. Trading the obvious is rather the aim and not trading the expected or assumed.

Just go with the flow and be used to it. Emotions are really part of the analysis by most. Instincts are even proven effective to others rather than doing some deep analysis using any trading indicators. It's really hard to go along with the volatile price of crypto.

Failures, disappointments, and regrets just become an issue now because of the bear market.

Once the bull market returns, expect that the positivity will now rise again to anyone.
1433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can someone explain to me why did ETH drop after the merge? on: September 22, 2022, 11:57:10 PM
It looks like all the signs for it to go up was there, and for some reason it went down.

What signs?  Can you share those signs that the ETH price is supposed to go up prior to and after the merge?

Normally when something like this happens, the price goes up and even about this, back in 2020 december the price went up because phase 0 of this started, even caused all the coins to go up at the time, we were hyped about everything back then and we hyped this as well.

That's the wrong mindset. What happened is executing a part of the technology.

There's no direct effect in terms of the market price.

By all means this could have been the start of the bull run, its such a great thing and for some reason people just disliked it, why?

Simply, it's hard to build hype on the current market trend. The merge happened in the middle of the considered "bear market" that's why it's difficult for those who will attempt to pump the price to trigger the bullish movement.

We should not look at the current price but rather the good effect of the merge in the long run.
1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How I feel about play to earn games on: September 22, 2022, 11:53:31 PM
At the end of it all no play to earn games can gives player the satisfying reward they deserve, there is no unlimited reward in play to earn games, the only thing that matters is how fun the game can get, people needs to feel like ' well I am ok with the fun more than the payout' its not how much people are going to be earning its how much fun people will have. The game needs to be addicting enough. Am I wrong?

If you are new to these online games regardless if it's a Play-to-Earn or a common online game, you will really have that mindset that it's a failure if you didn't meet your expectations. The key to enjoying the game you decided to play is actually, you really hooked on that game and not because you saw others are getting profits on that game.

If you are just riding the trend without any knowledge, you are not ready yet to face the risks.
1435  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin for a business on: September 22, 2022, 11:51:24 PM
If I will refer to one of the known merchants here in our place, they accept crypto but not actually holding it.

They are using a service that instantly converts Bitcoin into fiat. That third-party exchanger is a crypto-service.

In short, crypto is just an additional payment method but the company is still getting the converted fiat value of it upon a successful transaction.
1436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gacha Game on: September 21, 2022, 11:19:34 PM

Gacha or sometimes called "Gashapon" in some RPG games is really addictive. Not just to acquire that monster stats stuffs but usually, it was also composed of items that will bring stunning looks at the appearance of a character e.g costumes, wings, mounts, etc.

Is it gambling? Yes, as you need to purchase an in-game currency first before rolling it. In most cases, the price is not that cheap that's why only the game whales can manage to overuse it. However, the reward might not be x10, x20, or x30 of the bet amount like on the usual gambling game but rather in-game items of that said game.

Is it an addiction to consider? Yes, for game freaks especially whales.
1437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 21, 2022, 10:51:13 PM
Now it's more of people watching because of the "ending" bet.  Grin

This is actually true. I'm a regular bettor of the "ending" game and know the feeling of waiting for the game results regardless of what team will be the winner. Since then, oldies are now used to placing a bet on that game even currently, they don't actually know the current roster of a certain team now. It's like a tradition already as "pake" or simply, pay later, is allowed here as long as the person is a regular bettor. Sometimes "pake" can last up to 5 or more games that's why it's convenient for others to play "ending".

I don't know what the whole league is thinking with those recent trades that happened and they will call it fair. The worst is when Blackwater is involved in a 3-team trade and gives up their top rookie Brandon Rosser. It's 100% obvious what will happen next on Rosser. Smiley
1438  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a game you would like to see in an online crypto casino? on: September 21, 2022, 10:31:38 PM
I was wondering... is any online casino offering some kind of game similar to Angry Birds? I don't mean this game exactly because of property rights, but a different game with the same mechanisms, where one can win thanks to his real skills.

I think that, maybe, it is not possible, because of very skilled players winning time after time. What do you think?
I think there is no gambling game that is similar to angry bird in gambling because so far I have not found the game on various gambling platforms, but I saw that on youtube it was only based on slot games but replaced with angry birds theme templates, so in gambling more games about instant games because gamblers want winning streaks for big profits. Types of slot games, badjack, poker are the main games on all gambling platform and besides that they are only optional games for entertainment when gamblers feel bored or just enjoy other pleasures.

For that type of game, the competition will be on a sort of leaderboard, maybe weekly, monthly, or for a certain period that can be called a whole season. The gambling part might be, paying a cost to enter the game like a user should pay if they want to compete on the leaderboards. That type of game can also be done in a room composed of a number of players with an entry fee then the winner will take all the bets etc.

Different from the usual casino games that are under a certain algorithm and facing a house edge and results were instant.

However, I don't see yet a game related to or having the same mechanics as Angry Birds that was introduced by a crypto casino.
1439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 21, 2022, 10:24:26 PM
Manny's known for helping charity so that's really going to be one of his goal when it's up to these profits that he'll make from these matches.

The exhibition match between Manny Pacquiao and South Korean YouTuber and martial artist DK Yoo will be organized as a pure entertainment match as what an exhibition match should look like. The match doesn't have a specific charity project that will support it, instead, both participants have their own plan for their earnings and proceeds.

Instead, and as you mentioned, some of Pacquiao's earnings here will be used to support his own project, Pacman Project. While on other hand, Yoo will give assistance to relieve operations in Ukraine. How will be the exact share of the cake was not disclosed.

So, before Dennis got an offer from them with a huge contract and he declined it? And now, he's got a contract with them but it's no longer great as before.

To summarize what happened to Dennis Schroder;

- traded from Oklahoma City Thunders to Los Angeles Lakers (2020-21)
- he rejected the 4-year $84 million Lakers contract extension (end of 2021 season) as he is eyeing a much higher deal as a UFA
- he couldn't find his expected long-term deal - in other words, no teams offered what he wants
- no choice but to accept a deal with the Boston Celtics - a 1-year, $5.9 million

He received a BIG LOL from the basketball community because of what happened. And now returning to Lakers with a 1-year, $2.6 million contract, the BIG LOL continues. However, it was reported that Schroder really wants to return to the Lakers, if he says so, then I will buy it. If he plays well this upcoming season, I'm sure the Lakers will offer him a good contract extension.
