1421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Paraguay become the second country to legal for bitcoin after El Salvado? on: July 16, 2021, 12:59:14 PM
At tip of iceberg, it sounds good for national legal adoption in specific nations or local areas.

However, the bigger matter would be whether the world accept such ambitious and financial incentivized plans from some nations. I guess they won't and IMF won't.
Honestly, I don't think Bitcoin need any legal allowance as national currency in order to go to mainstream.

Bitcoin is there with us, to give own banks for bitcoiners who hold their private keys. With keys, bitcoiners can make transactions without intervention from governments. Obviously, they need bitcoin miners to find blocks and confirm their transactions.
Yes it doesn't need to but I think that the recognition of the government is a good thing to have even if it doesn't look like it's that needed, I mean the credibility behind that recognition is worth chasing for and I think that the recognition of the few countries is going to be a good foundation to establish a global adoption of bitcoin.
1422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: German Faketoshi is now arrested for his fraud on: July 16, 2021, 12:24:24 PM
If Satoshi is still alive, he might find it annoying and interesting interesting at the same time to see this many people trying to impersonate him and claim his fame without any proof of identity. At the rate faketoshi It would be hard to believe anyone who claims to be satoshi without unlocking that wallet. I think it's the only valid proof of identity since these satoshi wannabes have exhausted other options.

Impersonation is one thing but using it as a plot to scam and defraud others, not cool.
I don't think he won't find it interesting because if there's a big epidemic of people impersonating Satoshi, I am sure that it will cause him.to get out of the proverbial Internet ice and say some things about this impersonators or probably use a different account and try to go for the long run where Satoshi primes people into thinking that anyone who claims they are Satoshi Nakamoto or the founder of bitcoin would always be met with a disbelief.
1423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin completes value transmission, how to perfectly avoid criminal ? on: July 16, 2021, 09:58:11 AM
Even fiat if abused will also have its disadvantages. It's also being used in illegal activities by criminals which only means that any currency by any form could possibly be used to commit crimes. Instead of looking at the negative side, I guess it would be better to enjoy the advantages that Bitcoin could offer. It could honestly provide us financial freedom if it will be adopted by most communities in the future.
Preach! This is what we should be doing rather than obsessively focusing on the never ending negative side of bitcoin, I mean even if people were to prevent it from happening, people will find a way to trick each other again at a much better way.
1424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion on Jack Palmer's thoughts on cryptocurrency? on: July 16, 2021, 09:25:51 AM
I mean, there is some truth to what he said, but correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there anything new with what he said to anyone with decent knowledge in this space? Most cryptocurrencies being centralized, pump and dumps, manipulation, and other shady stuff and all that. In a mostly anonymous and pseudonymous industry, it's almost guaranteed to have a lot of bad actors.
Not to mention that these bad actors is just an inkling compared to stock market where they even have companies dedicated to shorting companies and making the shorted companies on their heels because that's how they make the money.
1425  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Security risk on: July 16, 2021, 08:54:47 AM
The risk is associated with crypto exchanges and not crypto currencies and I guess this insecurity is caused by lack of cyber security experts who would help secure the database of this exchanges or insufficient finds to pay for their services. Let's hope we get more advanced features in the near future or some new or intending exchange could work on this limitation and build a better network for their clients.
It's not just the lacking of cyber security aspect of these exchanges it's also the fact that it's a cat and mouse chase for hackers and cyber security because when one creates an innovation, another one tries to defeat or circumvent the defenses and it will go on and on. That's why many people advice you not to store your coins on exchanges and online wallets since they are vulnerable to attacks anytime of the day.

2009Nobody uses Bitcoin

2010Only nerdy programmers use Bitcoin

2011Only nerdy programmers use Bitcoin

2012Only drug dealers use Bitcoin

2013Only libertarians use Bitcoin

2014Only unbanked use Bitcoin

2014Only small companies use Bitcoin

2017Only speculators use Bitcoin

2019Only whale investors uses Bitcoin

2020Only large corporations use Bitcoin

2021Only small countries use Bitcoin

FTFY
You forgot that mathematicians are using bitcoin together with the computer nerds back then because they were fascinated by the cryptography aspect of bitcoin at that time. I don't necessarily agree with only large corporations use bitcoin because there isn't a lot of people in that are using it maybe the investment companies should be the one but they aren't the biggest corporations out there.
1427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is still the favorite choice on: July 16, 2021, 07:44:39 AM
Of course Bitcoin still be a favorite choice for all classes of people because In coronavirus pandemic situations all people are in lock down and they are interested themselves in passive income and Bitcoin a good source of passive income.
That's because it's the representative of cryptocurrencies and it's the first of it's kind so it's the most like thing that people would recognize first more than anything else. I don't think though that bitcoin is a good passive income because either trade or you hodl on it for a long time.
1428  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin Marriage on: July 15, 2021, 02:09:40 PM
Pretty cool and I want to see this trend because I want to see what's going to happen to couples that will be having divorce. I am sure that this kind of gimmick would probably make things worse for marriage. I am not a fan of wedding, I mean they are a waste of time plus do you really have to marry someone to prove your love to them? You only make yourself vulnerable to divorce especially if you are making a lot of money.
1429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: T-Mobile Sued Over SIM Attack That Resulted in Loss of $450K in Bitcoin on: July 15, 2021, 12:41:05 PM
Technically the company isn't at fault since it's an insider and it's not like T Mobile authorized the attack. There's a degree of fault for the company but everything should fall in the hands of the perpetrators more than anything else. I think the lawsuit is a good thing because that means that T Mobile has to answer as they share with the fault.
1430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future money! on: July 15, 2021, 12:05:22 PM
Of course bitcoin is a future money, the concept is futuristic already. No physical contact of the money, and everything is electronic and it is utilize the modern technology, I think that there's no better reason to call bitcoin a future money. Not to mention that it's also a key liberation tool for many people to achieve financial freedom.
1431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency bad for the environment? on: July 15, 2021, 11:29:28 AM
I heard there is some news saying that BTC mining pollutes the environment because it is quite expensive to mine electric energy and to generate this electric energy they use the way to create pollution rate. very high environment.
Does mining produce this electricity? I don't think so, they are just consumers like any of us. It's the source that we should be worrying about because they are the ones that is causing the pollution because they're the one that burns the fossil fuels and oils for electricity.
1432  Local / Pamilihan / Re: muyan66, scam? on: July 15, 2021, 09:30:26 AM
1433  Economy / Economics / Re: Strange massive Btc transfer in block 690755 on: July 15, 2021, 08:47:30 AM
Seen this article in my Facebook newsfeed and  don't think that it's really Satoshi's bitcoins because I don't think that Satoshi really plans to sell his/her bitcoin. Plus what if it's just some other person that have left the wallet for a really long time and now have already opened it because he/she probably have digged it up in his/her attic and has the password and the necessary stuff for accessing the wallet.
1434  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoin is enough? on: July 15, 2021, 08:10:00 AM
My current target of Bitcoins is 1 BTC, but at the prices at the moment this is going to take a while. If I ever manage to get up to 10 BTC than I would be fully happy and say that I have enough. Greed is not good, so I will settle for the middle, 5 BTC. After saving so much in Bitcoins I would only be buying alt coins afterwards. This goal could of course move once the bitcoin price moves again. If 1 BTC would be worth 500,000 USD then owning 5 BTC is too much.
If the prices are consistently going up, I think that 10 BTC is enough but if we are talking about the safest but at the same time an enjoyable life, I think around 100 or 150 BTC is enough because you can cover the money that you have to use for traveling and other stuff plus it will probably be enough to start a family without the worry of where to look for money for daily expenses.
1435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why on earth do you own bitcoin? on: July 15, 2021, 07:24:26 AM
~
Even though it may not be much for some to still see the potential that it has. But we've seen the proof in our lives how bitcoin made our lives better and changed a lot of things in our living aspect.

No need to have that much reasons why we're investing in bitcoin. As long as we've got enough few reasons why we're leaning and believing on it, people will see and regret that they've been late knowing and investing on it.
Well, that's not that many reason in my opinion, having only one reason is pretty weak in my opinion because that means that you don't see the whole picture if you don't have enough reasons to believe in something.
1436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I rather stay hungry than sell my Bitcoin on: July 15, 2021, 06:31:41 AM
Don’t let what others say influence you. You have your own judgment. It’s normal to go up and down in the cryptocurrency market. But don’t take all your own money when investing in cryptocurrencies. Keep some money for yourself to live on, if you’re going to hold it for the long term, don’t sell your bitcoins, no matter what, because if you sell your bitcoins when they’re down and the price goes up, you’re going to lose a lot
Exactly, that is why everyone agrees that you shouldn't invest what you can't afford to lose meaning that you have to leave some for yourself or you will end up with no money for yourself. Also, to every newbies out there, what OP is doing is stupid because it's a sign of greed, always prioritize health before wealth, what's the use of your profit if you are on a hospital bed or in a funeral home?
1437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will never be gone on: July 15, 2021, 05:56:02 AM
From my perspective bitcoin is already too big to be gone. Even though all of the country banned bitcoin or try do something bad into bitcoin community i think at the end the government need to regulated bitcoin and try to walking together with BTC.
Especially if the countries ban bitcoin, it will only get much bigger since it becomes underground meaning that the it becomes much more expensive since it's more rare. Coexistence with the government is a good thing but in either way, bitcoin is only going to go up no matter what.
1438  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2,371 people abducted in Nigeria in first half of 2021 on: July 14, 2021, 01:05:25 PM

Yes, there are many kings in Nigeria, but they are stronger than one another in power and influence. The last king that was abducted that I read about was not even quite long, the king of Kajuru.
Oh, so basically these Kings are like tribe leaders of some sort or are they different? Because I find it hard to believe that a nation has a lot of kings. How are these kidnapped people though, did they all come back safe or some of them have been killed?
1439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Identifying Satoshi Would Be a BAD Thing on: July 14, 2021, 09:59:23 AM
I think it is safe for the inventor of Bitcoin to remain anonymous, and Satoshi has done many things to remain anonymous and to preserve his privacy, he did not reveal the real name, and he chose a Japanese nickname and a pseudonym called "Satoshi Nakamoto". It is also believed that Satoshi was using a Virtual Private Network (VPN), or Tor. Nakamoto previously talked about Tor and told people that it is a good way to hide the origin of a Bitcoin transaction.
I think that's the only way because the other options have been already foreseen and not any them are pretty good for the market. Plus it's a really good thing that he is anonymous because with the enigma behind the identity, people gets curious about the identity. Tor and VPN isn't enough to hide someone's identity, I think Satoshi is also a Linux User because he is pretty good with codes.
1440  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2,371 people abducted in Nigeria in first half of 2021 on: July 14, 2021, 09:24:27 AM
I am curious about the Kings that you are talking about, are there royalties in Nigeria? I think that the only scary thing about here is the kidnapping itself and not the fact that they aren't using cryptocurrencies for payments in the ransom.
