1441  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Should I Buy used or new miners? on: January 24, 2016, 12:33:11 AM
I hate to say it and to be honest but the era of mining bitcoin is basically kind of over unless you have ridiculous amounts of money to spend to increase hash power after the difficulty. You should be aware that if you mine, at some point and time, your equipment won't secure you a decent rate of return on your investment. If you do mine, you should take into account the raising difficulty and the amount of money you can make on your equipment.

Sadly this true. These days big mining companies run the mining game.
They and they online can make a profit with mining. Which means bitcoin is becoming more and more centralized.
1442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big banks creating Bitcoin alternative on: January 24, 2016, 12:30:14 AM
They can do whatever thay want but BTC was first and will stay at the top!

Well yes and no.
They can do what they want, yes
But no bitcoin being the first is no guarantee bitcoin will 'make it.' Marketing is very important.
1443  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptsy.com is down on: January 24, 2016, 12:27:08 AM
This is really sad they have 1000s of bitcoins and have no professional security..

Cryptsy has fallen mate. People got their coins in a hostage situation which is sad.
The owner of the site. Paul Vernon seems to make a run with their users coins, claiming they lost it in a 'hack'
1444  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: January 24, 2016, 12:24:57 AM
i actually dont spend any of my bitcoins, i save it all in my wallet and i am waiting for significant price increases that would let me earn a lot of money in a short period of time

Currently this is the main reason for me to use bitcoin or buy it.
The lack of use options makes it solely interesting to buy it for fluctuation purposes.
1445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it profitable to invest in betting sites? on: January 24, 2016, 12:21:21 AM
I've actually never really made a thought about this subject. Surely, you could make your money back with profit investing in major betting sites - but wouldn't that require huge funds? I don't think I've ever seen a betting site have stocks. Maybe you should find some kind of studies/report on the betting world, especially about online betting, and see if it is profitable to invest in.

I haven't heard about it honestly. Which makes it either very shady or it could be a good investment opportunity.
Since it deals with online betting sites, which are in general quite shady, i would go for the latter.
1446  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: January 24, 2016, 12:18:19 AM
That's a tough question but I would have to say 10 BTC personally

That won't cut it for use. I think you need way more then 10 BTC.
If you want to have a good pension/retirement try to get your hands on as many bitcoins as possible.
1447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: January 24, 2016, 12:16:12 AM
1. They don't know exactly what it is yet 2. It is kinda hard to switch fiat to bitcoin 3. Not everyone is interested in technology

Correct, and I think most of them are also very afraid.
They read bad things about bitcoin, which makes them terrified to be scammed out of their bitcoins.
1448  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the Chinese pumpers pump BTC up again in the next 30 days? on: January 24, 2016, 12:13:55 AM
I can't really predict this because nobody knows what they will do, however we are only just a couple of negative statements away from a true Bitcoin crisis. Many companies are leaving and selling their BTC investments and that's the reality. Hopefully the storm will pass and Bitcoin will be able to survive as it usually does, but the next weeks/months will be hard and turbulent.

I don't see as much companies leaving bitcoin or selling honestly.
Thinks are like normal, the high volume is logic when there is much fluctuation.
1449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: January 24, 2016, 12:10:05 AM
One day you love it and one day you hate it. Sometimes it gives you also a bad mood. If you don't want to get frustrated don't play.

Exactly! Everyone should read this...

This is indeed the sad truth about gambling.
If you don't want to be sad or frustrating then don't gamble. You won't run the risk of getting addicted too.
So a win win.
1450  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has been the world’s strongest currency in 2015 on: January 24, 2016, 12:06:25 AM
News like this makes me feel bitcoin can't be killed that easily.
Sure the trolls want it to, but remember the statistics are actually really good when we are talking about bitcoin.
1451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: January 24, 2016, 12:04:45 AM

At least interesting words...but people prefer fast and scam.

There are legit ways to earn good amounts of bitcoins, you just need to find a good service or product to sell.

I`m sick of scammers, people should really look around more, there are legit ways to earn bitcoins too.

For example there was an artist around here that sold sculptures for bitcoin.

It's possible yes, but it's hard too.
Why? Well you need to have to be creative and think about your product to sell. Which can be a pain in the ass sometimes.
1452  Economy / Gambling / Re: How can I win big? on: January 24, 2016, 12:01:00 AM
If you want to win big, You had to use a lot of money to play in gambling, but remember it's very risky to you lose big too and I guess that is really hard to get a profit fast and big, it all depends on luck

Ergo don't bet and you lose nothing.
Big winnings are very seldom.
The time you win big, you have already lost big 10 more times.
1453  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: January 23, 2016, 10:33:14 PM
Yes but those space mining will bring price of gold ..
I don't say nothing bad about bitcoin!
Bitcoin is so good but i'm not sure if it is better than gold !

I feel you. I like bitcoin mining too.
But mining gold seems to make more money.
The equipment to mine gold is very expensive though.
1454  Economy / Speculation / Re: It is Buy time! on: January 23, 2016, 10:32:03 PM
Just wanted to chime in again and say that I'm still buying.  Slowly, a little at a time.  It's kinda neat that you can buy bitcoin any time of day or night.  It's very much like a stock to me, but you can't buy stocks in the middle of the night smoking a cigarette on the toilet.  Not talking about myself necessarily, but you get the point.

I think the time is good to buy, but i expect the price to go lower.
So also buying slot amounts and waitng for a big decline to buy more.
1455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So...bitcoin is now a national currency on: January 21, 2016, 10:43:29 PM
if bitcoin into the national currency means the currency that existed previously will be little used. and the effect of the currency will be eroded its value.

Yes, but it's great for bitcoin.
Sure it is not a country that matters in the world economy, but it's a great step.
1456  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: AdSense banned on major faucets? on: January 21, 2016, 10:40:49 PM
Google is very strict with adsense.
It's not uncommon they just ban sites for adsense. You can try to appeal but nobody is acting replying unless you got a high traffic site.
1457  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The Cryptsy Deceptions on: January 21, 2016, 10:29:36 PM
I know most of you have lost some money, but don't expecty anything from the bounty.
This Big Vern guy is a smart guy who now is giving out pocket money to walk away with the big bucks.
1458  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to invest in Bitcoin businesses? on: January 21, 2016, 10:23:27 PM
I only trust the long existing one entities which have a good reputation of  paying out to investors and running a legit businesses. I know many may turn out to be running away with investors's money. I sugget you can invest in the gambling sites, poloniex, bitfinex, haobtc, bitbank, crypto.fund, coinomat etc.

Offcourse sending your money to any other entity is like saying goodbye to your money.
I think the finance landscape need more transparency therefore i avoid these kind of investments.
1459  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: January 21, 2016, 10:17:10 PM
Hi,

Today, the S7 Maintenance 31.5%. What happens when the fee for block $ 12.5?

I just saw it yes.
Wow what happened? Not only that but also the price is like 30% of what it was just 1 month ago.

People didn't understand what they were investing in and it turned out the units were way overpriced since difficulty shot up very quickly in a short amount of time and the price plummeted.

Way to many people blindly throwing money around without understanding how the investment works.  Creates unrational markets really quickly.

I tend to agree.
It's true either way. The price did go down too fast and look how many people (me included) lost money with their hashes.
1460  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: January 21, 2016, 10:14:01 PM
I try to spend them for things i need. because the price is very good now.
But I have not found a lot of items i need, so know they are safe in my wallet.
