It's not safe to be honest. You carry your phone daily, so it's a daily possibility that you can forget where did you put your Bitcoins at.
If you have good encryption, then they should be safe even if you lose the phone, but of course, you lose the Bitcoins that are inside the phone. In general im too paranoid to carry Bitcoins in my phone.
I believe that it is pretty safe and I am sure that nothing will happen to those Bitcoins. But the only thing I am afraid of is when you lose your phone or it breaks or something. Then you have just lost your phone and your Bitcoins. Yeah I agree with you it is pretty safe to store it on your phone because your phone is something you always have with you and never loose out of sight. But if you lose it you have a problem. I thought about the same thing when you lose your phone you will lose your Bitcoins, losing both important things at once is not a good thing to happen. So I recommend that you save them somewhere else. |

I was kinda hyped when I heard that Steam is accepting bitcoins because I have no other way of adding funds to my Steam wallet because I don't have a Paypal with me (and I'm too lazy go to out and buy steam cards). So far, I haven't had any issue just like you.
