1463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ...then they laugh at you... - London City banksters make their position clear on: April 04, 2013, 01:52:28 PM
This is a weird situation. A bubble is a bubble because the price is too high than the fundamentals. The 2000 dotcom bubble was a bubble not because the internet was a fail, but simply because back then there weren't all the fundamentals and infrastructures that there are today for the internet. It took 10 years for it to transform from bubble to reality and even better. Today internet is much better and much more used than anyone in 2000 even dreamed  Cheesy Smartphones in 2000?  Cheesy
Same for bitcoin, even if it is a bit different. Price is skyrocketing BUT our infrastructures, services, shops, whatelse are growing and getting bigger and bigger.

1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: tired of people saying what if the government + banks bought all bitcoins! on: April 04, 2013, 12:09:15 PM
I'm not in the USA, I don't trade in the USA

And the USA is going to totally destroy its economy in order to kill US use of bitcoins? That's called cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Imagine that u r a president. Bitcoin gives ppl a tool to get rid of u. On the other hand u have Internet Switch Kill. Switch it on and u ruin economy of ur country. But u still will be a president. Don't switch it and u'll become an ordinary person without usefull skills. What will u choose?
Then obama will kill usa. But since i'm in europe, this is not my problem  Cheesy

Also, even if land based connections are fucked, we still have satellites  Wink

Only if you run it as server and use a fail password.

1472  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Multibit Problem on: April 03, 2013, 06:24:40 PM

1473  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: would these graphics cards be good for mining litecoins? on: April 03, 2013, 06:23:07 PM
It is a normal 5870 with 6 display outputs. You can connect 6 monitors to it. Usually video cards have less outputs, since well, almost no one need 6 monitors. But except that, it is a normal 5870, just with moar outputs.
1474  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Multibit Problem on: April 03, 2013, 06:19:23 PM
Did Multibit downloaded the whole chain? Check in the bottom left of the multibit window, near Online, is it downloading something? I suppose yes, let it finish. Multibit is much much quicker than bitcoin-qt, the blockchain it has to download is much smaller, but it still has to download it  Cheesy

1479  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Real noob question! on: April 02, 2013, 03:43:26 PM
Yes you are wrong. Every miner does different calculations, because some part of the mining involve a random number.

The bitcoin calculator tell you that with your hashing power you will make 0.25btc per day. Yes, a block is 25btc+fees, but that only matter for solo mining. Pool mining exists, where the reward is divided between all the partecipants. So, if you pool mine, you will really make 0.25btc per day.

But.. if you make 70mhash/s, there is no way you can make 0.25btc per day  Cheesy
