1461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I love altcoins. What's your favorite? The shill thread. on: April 27, 2015, 10:06:51 AM
NXT is my favourite. With AE it's just fits for my needs, and when SuperNet will be released I can have many of my stuff together in one place.
1462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dash (Darkcoin) will position itself as a direct competitor to Bitcoin on: April 27, 2015, 08:03:17 AM
Positioning Dash as direct competitor to BTC is a bit of exaggeration. I agree Dash is a good coin for increased security and anonymity use cases but that's a niche market. Most users simply don't need such stuff.

Just to clarify: are you implying that I am a Jew? If so, what led you to this conclusion?

Yes I do. Perhaps because of your signature, or your previous post.

1465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the worst advice you've heard? on: April 26, 2015, 09:18:09 PM
Actually I'm not sure if (apart from some technical stuff) I've ever heard any good advice here Smiley. Perhaps I should join a PD group to get some good ones.
1466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you waiting for the collapse of the fiat system to trigger BTC adoption? on: April 26, 2015, 09:00:58 PM
Or are you waiting for bitcoin to gradually become popular alongside fiat?

What are you waiting for?

I'm definitely not waiting for the collapse of the fiat system. In that case the most popular currencies would be gold, silver, baked beans, bread, corned beef, ammunition, amoxicillin, diesel, petrol, cigarettes, coal, fellatio but surely not bitcoin.

"waiting for bitcoin to gradually become popular alongside fiat" sounds better for me.

I'm also waiting for the block halving and the second coming of Satoshi Smiley.

I wish the Jihadis who openly believe in and praise killing Jews were as controversial as the people who point it out.

If you're looking for people to compare to the Nazis, how about looking at the people who tortured and murdered Ilan Halimi in 2006? Or if 9 years is too long ago, look at the man who killed the Jews in that supermarket in Paris in January? Or the Jewish kids shot and killed at a school a couple of years ago? All these examples are in France and they were all killed by Jihadis.

Jews actually are being targetted and killed. Today. By the people who say their goal is to kill Jews. Because of their religion.

And you're comparing the people pointing this out to the Nazis. Instead of the people who are actually demonizing Jews, actually targetting Jews, actually killing Jews.

Do you ever stop for a moment and think that maybe you're missing something?

Would you like to see a list about all the woman and children who have been killed in Gaza?
BTW jihadist are not controversial. They are scum, but you guys unleashed these scum and I'm pretty sure eventually we will be those who will have to fight and win your war again.
1468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you reading Altcoin Discussions ? on: April 26, 2015, 07:57:06 PM
Learned a lot here about the latest scam techniques. BTW I like the altcoin scene. There are always some drama to watch. Sometimes better than the Investor-based games or the Securities section. (Lending is boring nowadays.)

On the earnest side: this is a place of evolution, therefore we can see some really interesting stuff here.
1469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NeuCoin Presale to start April 28 on: April 26, 2015, 07:43:56 PM
The price for NeuCoin is completely irrational.

Agree, 0.01 USD/NeuCoin is roughly equal to the price of NXT without the advanced features of NXT. Maybe I'm just old and picky but this doesn't seems to be right.
1470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is NXT not the number 2 coin? on: April 26, 2015, 01:43:57 PM
the first with a functioning Asset Exchange, decentralized Marketplace, Monetary System,
False, false and false. I suppose the other first examples don't classify as functional in your opinion despite them functioning.

Damn! I had the impression that AE is working. Then what the f**k I just have bought and where...:O?!? I also got some dividends... so you say it's all just an illusion Smiley?
1471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Best Coin To Purchase For a 1+ year hold? on: April 26, 2015, 01:36:06 PM
What do you think about bitcoin Smiley? As I heard it's quite cheap now but has some good growth potential, credible devs and some serious investors as well Cheesy.

NXT can be a good alternative too.
1472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: April 26, 2015, 12:35:03 PM
Bitcoin = Gold - Litecoin = Silver.

Hmmm... perhaps copper, as I see the recent LTC/BTC and DASH/BTC exchange rates... But cheer up, even the third place is a nice one Smiley.
1473  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCjam questions on: April 26, 2015, 12:10:40 PM
You might want to ask this question on the lending board. The guys over there are quite proficient regarding such questions and they accumulated a lot of experience with BTCjam.
1474  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Police Officer Caught Selling Stolen Bitcoin Mining Equipment on: April 26, 2015, 12:02:41 PM
I would like to know how he stole mutiple KnCMiner Neptune units.   With all those boxes it and PSU's it seems like it would be one heck of a pain to take.

And I cant imagine having multiple  KnCMiner Neptune units, but no security camera.  The miner should have had some security with unit's like this.

Still sad to see a miner lose his gear no matter who its to.

Perhaps someone else stole that gear and the police officer "acquired" that stuff after the theft. I can hardly imagine police officers as burglars. Racketeering or fencing would be a more likely scenario.
1475  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "Killing Jews is Worship that Draws Us Close to Allah" Ads on NYC Buses on: April 26, 2015, 11:57:28 AM
I guess they want to carry on with the established and highly profitable business model, but because of the lack of nazis they need to create new enemies and maybe sacrifice fellow jews to victimize themselves. If I would be a north african, or ethiopian jew I would be somewhat worried.
1476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best altcoin on: April 25, 2015, 05:37:36 PM
Do not listen anyone here who are talking about great investment potential, big rise, or similar BS. These ppl most likely just want to dump their stash on you. Do your own research or join an established pump and dump group.
1477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: vTorrent: Anonymous Torrents on the Blockchain, seeders & uploaders get paid. on: April 25, 2015, 05:28:22 PM
Several cryptos are currently trying to do this, whoever gets there first will win big time!

http://themerkle.com/speculation/vtorrent-digital-currency-explodes-over-100/

Joking I guess Smiley. Actually it looks like a simple pump and dump instead of long term investors. Talking about an explosion when the daily volume is something around 0.25 BTC is a bit of an exaggeration. Isn't it?
1478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy Owns Paycoin Hyperstaking Prime Controller on: April 25, 2015, 01:39:01 PM
This makes them directly complicit in the fraud instead of merely indirectly profiting off it. They are dead to me and should be avoided and ostracized like the plague. To those only with selfish interests .... this will also expose you to audits , subpoenas and investigations by many dangerous state actors who are currently investigating paycoin. Cryptsy is exposing you to this liability by accepting a prime controller.

Cryptsy is a profit oriented exchange and mining company. Of course they obtained a prime controller. They have to pay for a lot of stuff and I guess their mining operations are barely profitable today, so getting involved with everything what can provide liquidity for them is kinda natural approach.
1479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: USB Mining? on: April 25, 2015, 01:05:33 PM
So I came across some USB miner on Amazon.com.  I wonder how do USB mining work and is it profitable. And also.. do this really have 330 MH/s? I don't think so.. 330 MH/s is too high.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CUJT7TO/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?qid=1429957392

Yes that's an "ancient" 330 MH/s asic miner. Please note that this is not a scrypt miner but an SHA bitcoin miner. Most likely you are not going to break even with that 0.33 GH, so it's only good for learning how to setup a rig but not for making any money.
1480  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Anita Sarkeesian - Feminist Frequency - Donating in Bitcoin on: April 25, 2015, 09:56:20 AM
Published on Mar 31, 2015 is a more recent video of Feminist Frequency: "The Scythian - Positive Female Characters in Video Games"

Want the Bitcoin community to shine a bit? Provide valid criticism(either positive, negative or both) to that video and back your arguments please. If the video is worth anything to you or if you feel it wasted your time then please say so, and please explain why.

Watched it. This video is a good one. She likes a game, she recommends it and she also provided some good reasoning. That's fine for me. I think nobody would have any issues with her if she would carry on with this kind of approach.
