It's temping to give them a call while they're talking about all the advantages of Bitcoin and mention that 16 year olds can offer equity in their companies publicly haha

Also you don't have to have a $2m asset value Roll Eyes

I'll be in the Malibu area around Christmas. Let's make it huge!
1484  Economy / Securities / Re: Cognitive-LTC Possibility on: August 22, 2012, 04:00:04 AM
By creating multiple businesses it give me less confidence in you as an investor.  I'd rather see 1 strong business with growth and expansion then the multiple businesses your creating which all compete for your time.

You know what, I totally agree with that. Now I'm probably going to scrap Cognitive-LTC. (No I'm not being sarcastic Tongue)

I want Cognitive to be hugely successful. Right now it is the largest publicly traded Bitcoin asset offering equity, which is absolutely awesome. Right now the main reason preventing large scale expansion is the introduction of the ASIC. As of now, BFL is the only way to go if we want to invest in more hardware and still remain largely profitable when ASICs are released.
1485  Economy / Securities / Re: Cognitive-LTC Possibility on: August 22, 2012, 03:29:06 AM
Please elaborate. This cannot hurt the original Cognitive at all.
1486  Economy / Securities / Re: Cognitive-LTC Possibility on: August 22, 2012, 12:38:08 AM
Spread your buys and sells between btc-e and Vircurex.com

I definitely would like to maintain one asset, but I also want the best for Litecoin. Driving the price down in Litecoin's current state would not be a difficult thing to do with a large scale mining farm converting all earnings to BTC.
1487  Economy / Goods / Re: Feeler: Quad copters (Semi-assembled kits) on: August 21, 2012, 06:21:25 PM
It should be powerful enough to carry a cmos camera and also a gopro HD for some nice fpv and recording.

If you are ready to sell them please contact me, I am looking to buy a quadcopter for the end of september.

+1 I've been meaning to build one for a while but haven't had the time. This would be great!
1488  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTS BTC or MTGox USD for Dwolla or Cash on: August 21, 2012, 05:41:57 PM
I would like to buy BTC with Dwolla.

How about 3 BTC for $30 in Dwolla?
Sending PM
1489  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: ASIC = The end of decentralized mining on: August 21, 2012, 05:26:56 PM
Jalapeņos can only be bought to BFL, and only in the states, which causes not only delays but also troubles at customs.

I offer a proxy service in the US for FPGAs and ASICs for 10% of the mining revenue.

1490  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: bitcoin will change the hashing algo and render all the BFL shit useless!! HAHA on: August 21, 2012, 05:18:03 PM
new bitcoin hashing algo will use proof-of-stake and a memory-hard algo so that CPU mining will be the new thing.

Link me Tongue
1491  Economy / Securities / Re: Cognitive-LTC Possibility on: August 21, 2012, 04:29:45 PM
If you folded this into Cognitive and it was reflected in the dividends then I would just buy more Cognitive.

If you need to exchange LTC for BTC I hear btc-e is nice.

Just a friendly suggestion.   Smiley

I appreciate the input, and would be totally game for that method, but if we want to expand largely we would put too much negative pressure on the BTC/LTC market.
1492  Economy / Securities / Re: Cognitive-LTC -- Which exchange? on: August 21, 2012, 08:30:01 AM
Eh...do we need to have litecoins to invest?

Heh, go to http://btc-e.com/

Cognitive-LTC will have it's IPO in the coming days, and we're going to need to get some hardware together. Right now I'm looking for one full 4 GPU rig. I hope I will be able to expand Cognitive-LTC far beyond this in the future, but this is how we will start.

I want to pre-arrange an order so we can get mining as fast as possible.

Thanks,
Garrett

Couldn't there be a sub market just for LTC?

There could I suppose, but as I mentioned anything like that is going to take a good bit of work to implement, which means time.

How big IS litecoin? I've never really had more than a passing look at it.

Small, relatively, but growing. You know what, I find myself agreeing with this:
At this point glbse setting up ltc support would seem like the big kid taking someones lunch money Cheesy
Perhaps you should stay focused with Bitcoin, while LitecoinGlobal maintains the Litecoin exchange. This would probably be for the best.

What would be the quickest, easiest method to get litecoins on GLBSE?

As the site developer, shouldn't you have the best answer?

I wouldn't think that it would be an extraordinarily difficult thing to do.

Also:

EDIT:

If GLBSE fully supports LTC within the duration of this poll, we will use GLBSE.

1497  Economy / Securities / Re: Motion Raised! Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive on [GLBSE] on: August 21, 2012, 06:07:35 AM
Thanks for the positive feedback Smiley

Cognitive-LTC is not going to exist. Instead, I will be focusing entirely on the original Cognitive.

Here is a poll asking which exchange you want to see Cognitive-LTC on. I personally support LitecoinGlobal, but whichever comes out on top here will be what we go with.

Right now I am debating on which exchange to use.

Our options are http://litecoinglobal.com/ and https://cryptostocks.com/

I'll create a poll.

If you buy some litecoinglobal stocks then you benefit from people buying ltc mining stocks  Smiley

You cant do that on cryptostocks.

+1

And here's the poll:

1499  Economy / Securities / Cognitive-LTC -- Which exchange? on: August 21, 2012, 06:04:35 AM
https://cryptostocks.com/ has been around for a while and was originally a Bitcoin exchange. https://www.litecoinglobal.com/ Is fairly new and solely intended for Litecoin. I think LitecoinGlobal will be the best bet because Litecoin is their only focus, but I'm going to leave it up to you. Whichever gets the most votes here will determine what we do.

Either way, I look forward to establishing Cognitive-LTC.

-Garrett

If GLBSE fully supports LTC within the duration of this poll, we will use GLBSE.
