1501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 07, 2022, 05:52:57 PM
Most probably, NLEX does need an experienced coach because they always fall short of their target to be a championship team. However, Luigi Trillo vs Coach Yeng, I think Coach Yeng is the better coach but I don't want to judge because I believe that we should give a new coach a chance to prove himself for at least one season.

Even Phil Jackson or Steve Kerr will coach the NLEX Road Warriors, nothing will changed to this team with that current roster. They are a farm team to considered and MVP's top teams are TNT Katropa and Meralco Bolts. Not even a chance for these Great Coaches to coached a farm team haha. They will surely be assigned to only top teams.

Kidding aside.....

Coach Yeng already pointed out that mid to lower tier teams, farm teams or those independent teams, will always struggle to keep good players on their respective team as these players will always likely be targeted by either SMC or MVP teams or for farm teams, players will be transferred instead to their top teams within the franchise. Since these players will be offered a much good contract by these giant companies, they will choose to be transfer instead as being loyal doesn't make sense in the PBA if you are outside SMC or MVP teams.

Coach Yeng just stating facts about what currently happening in the league for several years:
"The playing field is no longer even. Not just that, it's not any more transparent what happens in the league. Horse trading is usually done now with those promising players. Only those big are getting stronger"
1502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [NEWS] Gambler Charged with Murder after Letting Kids Die on: September 07, 2022, 04:22:52 PM

This does happened not just in gambling-related cases. Lots of incidents already were there are kids, and even pets, leave inside a car in an open parking space with engine off. Can't imagine the feeling of being in a hot temperature for several hours. Even in a mild weather, it's still hot inside an engine off car when a you stayed for several hours.

The bottom line, I don't understand why there are people who left those kids alone inside the vehicle. Heat stroke is waving to them. But there are reports that some cases wasn't intentional and maybe that person is experiencing stress and related behavioral issues.
1503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 07, 2022, 03:58:33 PM
No doubt offensive production, but Melo also needs to adjust to his defense, younger star might expose him and take that advantage, giving him a tough game, treating him as the weak side to make or create a play on his side.
kind of coach doesn't want to see having someone inside as a liability.

Seems not appropriate for me to expect Carmelo Anthony to adjust his defense at the current point of his career. He is almost on the retirement period. Why expect him to adjust on his weak side wherein the best thing he can do is to take advantage of what he's capable to do. The roster can be balance with both offense and defense. No need that all players are good in defense especially if Melo is on the lineup.

If struggling, then sit him out. He is currently averaging less playing time now compare to his usual. No need to give him 30MPG or something.
1504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To all 100x hunters out there on: September 07, 2022, 03:50:52 PM
75% of crypto investors don't understand that projects like Solana, Cardano, Doge, SAND, XRP, Avalanche did a 100x in this recently past bull run and it will never happen again, not even 20x I believe, those who have been in crypto space since 2017 will understand what im talking about, every four years a new adjustment is always made to Top 20 lists on Coinmarketcap, new breeds will take over.

Get rid of the old stuffs and hunt for the next 100x, not a financial advice but DYOR.

That makes sense and somehow it's true. For the majority of altcoins, that was always the case.

However, let those 75% understand that for themselves. For sure, once they are working on their progress here in crypto world, they will able to make and create their own best approach on how to trade and select good and worthy coins.

Thank for reminding them as I also sick of those people who are just depending on luck and hype that a certain coin will experience a 100x growth again during a bull run, at most. But nothing we can do if that's their view. Let them experience the worst.
1505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 07, 2022, 02:29:22 PM
The video was posted last week of August 2022 and there might be a chance that this complete list will change. TNT and Ginebra imports are the ones that I think is confirmed as both of them were saw in a PBA Finals game. We've also seen Ibeh and Prosper played in the same team years ago. Most of them are first timers in the PBA and some are former NBA players but like I said, there might be a chance that the list will have some changes. Let's wait for the official article maybe from spin.ph since I'm pretty sure that they will share it.

Thanks for the link and looks like it's almost a final list.

I take a look at some of those imports and as per their bio, they are already part of their respective teams. I have also noticed that unlike before that usually most imports are already NBA veterans or at their post-prime, some of the listed imports today are young and can consider in their respective prime. It's just that they were unable to be drafted into the NBA.

That means CONGRATULATIONS also to our fellow PBA enthusiast here in the thread:

ls Bay Area Dragons eligible on joining the playoffs in the PBA? Is there any information about this?
I think they will. I mean what will be their reason of playing in the PBA if they will not join the playoffs.
PBA added them to increase the competition around the league. I think they are eligible because it will be useless for the Dragons if they will play in the PBA and will not be eligible in entering to the playoffs for whatever reason it is.

The question is valid though because as Marcial said before, it's Governors Cup where Bay Area Dragons are eligible to win the championship. I don't know if the same eligibility will be given to that team this upcoming Commissioners Cup. If eligible, there will be an obvious change to the rules of eliminations or simply they will just add one team to those who can't make it to the playoffs.

If let's say Bay Area Dragons won the championship, the first time that a champion in our top local basketball league is a foreign team lol.

Anyways, as for the list of imports for the next conference, there's no official list yet but only rumors e.g SMB considering Thomas Robinson, former Los Angeles Lakers as their import next conference, Justin Brownlee of Ginebra, etc.
1507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Set Of Action When Your Account Face An Issue on: September 06, 2022, 11:45:48 PM
So you're playing in a casino and you triple your wager but when you try to withdraw you cannot what set of actions are you going to do,
Are you going to screenshot your dashboard and your deposit, are you going to create a ticket first and ask support what happens to your account or you will ask chat support and screenshot all conversations because of the fear of getting your account ban, or you will directly post your concern here in Bitcointalk.

Obviously, once you send a ticket, your issue should be detailed and complete that's why providing a screenshot is necessary. After that, wait for their response and that should be addressed immediately as possible. In my case, I will give them 2 waiting days.

Depending on their response, if I received a sh*t response, then I will continue the argument. If I received a valid response, they should provide me the complete details of what violation I did and why my withdrawal is not going through.

I will show calm behavior here as much as possible until it is resolved. If everything is still not clear even after a long argument, then that's the time I will share my issue here in the forum and want to know the community's pulse on that issue.
1508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: September 06, 2022, 11:39:31 PM
I don't know much about the caliber of Jake Paul, many say Jake Paul has the KO punch since he easily KO'ed majority of his opponent but I do not think he will effectively release his powerful punches because Silva is good at footwork and punching in an angle that his opponent will have a hard time countering.

The majority of those he KO'ed are already aged and out of their prime. There's even a former basketball player on his record lol.

In fairness, Jake Paul knows the basics of boxing but if only his professional career started against those real boxers in their prime, his current reputation won't be that bad. As for Silva, his experience is the only foundation here in this fight. Regardless of his dominance during his prime, we can't hide the fact that at 47 years of age, his body might not cooperate anymore with his will. I don't want to support or even watch this fight too but as for other people, they want to witness the first loss of Jake Paul in his career so they might want to spend money here.

Is this fight sanctioned as a professional fight? I don't know how they were able to convince Silva to accept this fight aside from money.
1509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 05, 2022, 11:40:39 PM
We are unanimous here with our prediction that Inoue will win, even if OP will create a poll, I'm expecting everyone will be voting on one side only. The fact that we have no debate here about who will win the fight, it's pretty obvious that we all believe that Inoue will win.

Butler will have the biggest fight of his life, it's Butler against the world, so it's a big challenge for him to prove that people are wrong.

That's why no poll was added because the expectation is a landslide victory for Inoue. Smiley

There's no debate about that but some people here are talking about the possibility of upsets on which even how hard I try to imagine that it will happen, I really can't think about it. Just in case Butler will win this, even by 1%, it's not just usual recognition but a very very very BIG recognition he will receive from the whole world if that happened.
1510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: September 05, 2022, 11:36:30 PM
the required weight should not be a problem at all, because it needs work from himself and his camp. it should not be a problem at all but should focus on their strategies how to win his title back.

Unfortunately, that was the problem, reaching the required weight with no extra toll on his body.

What does this mean? His usual training regime is not enough to reach their target weight at the given time. In return, things got rushed and the moment he will now reach the required weight, he was overtrained during the process and won't be in 100% shape once he entered the ring.

But that unfortunate thing that happened during the first match should not happen twice as that was one of the key notes that his camp is trying to solve.
1511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 05, 2022, 11:32:05 PM

Alright, so just a couple of weeks' rest, and the PBA will now commence the 2nd conference of the season which is the Commissioners Cup.

September 21 is the opening of the PBA Commissioners Cup. And as previously announced by the PBA prior to the opening of the All-Filipino Cup, there will be a guest team next conference which is the Bay Area Dragons of the East Asia Super League.

For those who are unaware, Manila will host the EASL next year and PH representatives will be San Miguel Beermen and TNT Katropa.
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 05, 2022, 11:25:26 PM
We do know that each boxer does have different styles on selling up their fights which is commonly on trash talking but i do see some do just keep quiet and let their fists do the talking which i do see or something that i do recommend.

In fairness to Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin, they are not the type of boxers that usually do trash talks as part of promoting the fight.

Their respective "NAME" is just enough to attract people to pay for the tickets to witness them fighting at the ring.

That kind of recognition is not that easy to achieve but these 2 future boxing legends able to build their legacy to a top level.
1513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 05, 2022, 11:21:47 PM
Has anyone seen any news similar to this about Holmgren's injury!!?

Just conclude already that Chet won't play this season even how good the status he will show during the recovery period.

Even fully healed and cleared to play during the time, if ever, OKC reaches the playoffs, not a good idea to just put Chet in the action because obviously, he needs some adjustment first playing several season games and the chemistry is not yet fully blended with his teammates.

Expect him to be prepared next season and as some analysts say, "he will silent the doubters".
1514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 04, 2022, 11:21:37 PM
Many of my friends say that most of these exhibition fights are happening only for entertainment purposes.
Hence most of the fights are scripted and the fighters are being mega paid to do the fight as per the script.
This is how the sponsors are gaining money and I guess this might be the truth. This is the reason why I don't like exhibition fights.

Since it's entertainment, it just makes sense to believe that exhibition matches are staged and scripted even if it's not publicly disclosed.

However, if the fight is between two great boxers during their prime, regardless if the match will be scripted or not, many people will still spend money watching these as most people in the new generation never have a chance to see those legends fighting in the ring.

Simply, just ignored those shitty matches and only support those matches that have a good initiative (real charity event that makes sense and legit 100%).
1515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 04, 2022, 11:16:38 PM
Inoue surely has the edge on this match, but we can't guarantee what will happen inside the ring.
This is boxing, anything can happen inside the ring and upset is always part of this sports.

Although I agree with you that upset is part of a sport, I can't really apply that upset stuff on Butler even though we do hundreds of simulations.

This is not about looking down on Butler but we are just stating some real thing that is most likely to happen once he faced "The Monster".

Though I am leaning on Inoue's side, but still, we can't disregard Butler's preparation.
But more than likely, this fight will be interesting to watch. I hope Butler will give a toe-to-toe fight on Inoue.

Not saying we are disregarding Butler's preparation for this fight but it's obvious that whatever preparation he will do and even though there are still lots of time left before the fight to improve what he likes to enhance, still not enough to beat the likes of Naoya Inoue.

While Butler is doing some serious preparation, obviously, Naoya Inoue is doing the same thing too as this fight will put him as the undisputed Bantamweight Champion.
1516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 04, 2022, 10:47:50 PM
I think he was that good, but Father Time is undefeated. When your game is built on the back of your athleticism, the aging process is never kind to your career as an athlete. Russell is going to suffer the same fate as an older Shawn Kemp. Unwilling to change his game and unable to perform to prior capabilities.

In terms of athleticism, in fairness to Russell Westbrook, he still has it although obviously, not on the same level during his prime.

With how Westbrook's play, specifically pointing to his first season in the Los Angeles Lakers, I can't consider that "Father Time" as one of the hindrances why Westbrook has the worst plays in most Lakers' game.

The dude is always healthy, playing all games in a season as a starter and injuries just rarely happened to him. The problem is his shooting becomes worst and there are no specific and exact reasons to point out why it turned out like that.
1517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dealing with ISP block on Gambling websites on: September 04, 2022, 10:41:26 PM
Using VPN and changing IP addresses can be beneficial for users short term but gambling platforms may require KYC for letting you withdraw winnings.

I don't know if something like that happened already in the crypto-gambling world but can you name a crypto-gambling platform or crypto-bookies that requires KYC before allowing the withdrawal as that user is using a VPN? If there's none yet, what crypto-gambling sites do have this on their terms?

I think most gambling sites are VPN friendly but obviously, accessing that said gambling site thru a VPN from restricted countries, regions or locations is an obvious red-flagged if got caught. That's a clear violation of the site's Terms and Conditions.
1518  Economy / Economics / Re: Working hours | How many are too many? on: September 04, 2022, 10:37:05 PM
Lots of jobs does have different numbers when it comes to working times but for me 8 hours maximum per day should be standard.
4 days work? It would be great but i dont think companies would really be seeing this to be efficient and effective on making up revenue.

Here in the Philippines, the idea of considering a 4-day work was being suggested to conserve energy due to the continuous rise of fuel costs.

However, there should be an adjustment on the standard 8-hours working time. From 8 hours, the employee should now work for 10 hours and overtime pay will just start obviously after the 10-hours period. However, I don't see that it will really have a big impact to save fuel as a whole. Working for 8 hours is already stressful and imagine adding 2 hours from it, that will be worst.

That extra day off might be useful but imagine how much stress that employee will get on that whole 4-day work especially those who are experiencing daily big problems on their way home and coming home e.g heavy traffic, high fare, pollution, etc.
1519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 04, 2022, 10:12:39 PM

Setting aside those valid excuses why the TNT loses the Finals series, San Miguel Beermen just did their very best to finally sealed the series and take home the All-Filipino Cup title. After a series of exchange leads and TNT getting downed at double-digit before the half, almost a close game until the end of the 3rd. After SMB managed to make a 10-0 run in the 4th, TNT was unable to get back on track.

Congratulations to all SMB fans there!

1520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: September 02, 2022, 11:33:58 PM
Spence's doctor said that it will be critical for him if he pursues the fight because it will lead him to blindness as he can't really avoid getting punched in his eye.

They think it's a bluff although I don't see any reason why to think of that. People have just to move on that issue as it is now settled. Either way, if Pacquiao's fight against Spence pushes through, Pacman might suffer a much more painful defeat as he is not fully focused on his boxing. Ugas turned Pacquiao into a punching bag wherein Spence did the same against Ugas after the replacement.

Going back to the topic, Spence is not that coward but just playing business over legacy.
