1521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think on: December 01, 2023, 12:20:01 PM
I fellas I have two questions to ask crypto experts and investors in this forum today

1. Is this a good time to build crypto portfolio?
2. Do you really think that bear market will be a dipping as 2018?

Now that crypto is gaining more investors day by day and crypto adoption is increasing massively I don't think that the next bear market will be crazily low like 2018/2019, what do you think?
Sure this is the best time to build a cryptocurrency portfolio for yourself against the coming year since in 2024 there will be a major event in the industry which is Bitcoin halving and this is going to make a significant change in the value and markets demands of most coins in the market and that is undoubtedly a sure point as to why this is the best time to assemble your portfolio that can help you to prove and increase your chances of making good profits.

Most especially if you are able to divide your portfolio according to their preference and market behaviours and what their possibilities are to make a good market moves when the time comes.

You may consider to put up your portfolio I a percentage manner by aligning higher percent for Bitcoin and other lower percentage also to few potential altcoins also.

1522  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Selfish Nigerians on: December 01, 2023, 12:04:30 PM
Even at this age people are still selfish and self-centered when it comes to sharing update that will help the next person, I have a friend who do genuine things and make genuine money  and he knows I am a student and I need something doing so as to get some of my basic needs as a student but he never tell me about it even when I keep going to see him often he never opened up anything to me,  though he gives me food and some other things  but that wasn't enough because the job he does is something I can do very well  and when I think about it I found out that he wants me to be coming to him for food, help etc I wonder what kind of friend will do that.
However,  I think he was scared that I would be making money like him or,  that I might even make more money than him that is why he decided to keep it as a secret but nothing is hidden under the earth but thank God I figured out what it is and he will be surprise how I knew it.
Don't blame your friend for not telling you his secret to his source of income,  I pray you wake up to realities some days to know that success has a principle and is not a matter of emotions as you want to make it look.

Also be thankful for your friend,  for he has shown you love by giving you things that you need,  because what I can understand from the whole story is that you feel your friend is lucky to have hard what he has instead of you taking a look at the sacrifice he pays to be who he is.

Thirdly if I were to be your friend all the while I would have discovered that what you want is not the love he is showing you rather your eyes are on his position,  and that is another form of jealousy from friends.

Now do you take the time to know why your friend is so sceptical about people around him like friends to the point of keeping his business a secret from them?

How many bullets of betrayal made him to decide to remain private,  sincerely speaking,  not many people know exactly what most successful do for a living,  because it is none of their business,  and because your friend did something and succeed in it,  doesn't mean that you will also succeed in the same venture too,  so stop assuming that you can do what your friend is doing.

He may succeed in that line and you may become a failure in the same line,  so life no is by copy copy,  do your own thing,  pray to God for success be persistent and keep improving in your own little way,  some days,  you will also discover your path to follow.

1524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if Bitcoin shutdown? on: November 30, 2023, 11:34:18 PM
I am just wondering, what will happen if Bitcoin shutdown? Will the market crash? How about the effect of this to altcoins? Can government shutdown Bitcoin? I have a lot of question about this matter, because who knows, right? Also, how about hackers shutdown Bitcoin? What are your thought here? Let's discuss this.
A straight up answer is that..
1. Government can not shutdown bitcoin, they've probably tried more than a million times and have failed, so, if it was possible for them to shutdown bitcoin, they would have some long time ago.

2. Hackers can not shut down bitcoin either, hackers are not more sophisticated than the government, so, if government tried and failed, hackers won't succeed as well. And besides, governments also tried to shut down bitcoin through hackers but still failed.

And yeah, if bitcoin shutdowns for what ever reason,  it is imminent that the entire crypto market will crash to ashes, bitcoin is the pillar that is currently holding the entire crypto market, including that if altcoins, fortunate enough, bitcoin is completely decentralized and out of anybody's control, so it cant be shut by any entity.
I quite agree with you on the basis of bitcoin being the pillar of the crypto industry as a whole,  and anything that can affect Bitcoin well being,  will also affect all other actions in the market today,  this is most likely the validity that has played out several time when there is a direct government law against Bitcoin or anti-Bitcoin policies,  all this are the primary reason Bitcoin is the king of crypto.

Bitcoin security protocol is highly and has protected Bitcoin from direct action from a third person who may not necessarily be adaptable
1525  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Make We no Dey Use Centralized Exchange to Receive Campaign Payment Directly. on: November 30, 2023, 11:25:17 PM
Right decentralized exchange that offers p2p are hard to find,  or if you have any,  can you please post a link to such decentralized exchanges
If you can not go for Bisq, you can try Agoradesk.

https://kycnot.me/
Ok boss thanks for sharing this,  this is most helpful for me,  but then I will also fry bisq to see how it works,  because the last time I tried visiting the site on mobile,  or seems that the exchange was only available on desktop version and not available on IOS androad devices. which serves and a medium to how things are expected to be done while using the exchange.

Well, thanks once again boss man.
1526  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Make We no Dey Use Centralized Exchange to Receive Campaign Payment Directly. on: November 30, 2023, 11:11:04 PM
The worst is to use Binance to receive payment weekly. You are very correct about that.

But using the noncustodial wallet to receive payment weekly and sending it to Binance is still traceable. The best is to use a decentralized exchange.
Right decentralized exchange that offers p2p are hard to find,  or if you have any,  can you please post a link to such decentralized exchanges,  because a lot of things have been learnt from this whole situation,  although I have always been against the use of Binance or any other exchange the received payment,  that is the dumbest thing anyone can do,  and at some point, if care is not taken,  I will be forced to say its high level of negligence because how can you submit a wallet that you don't have control over for campaign that some already stated that there is no change is wallet address after acceptance.

The best possible thing to do is to submit a non-custodial wallet and thereafter send the coins to any exchange of choice or through direct P2P transactions.

Lol! Good initiative by the people, but I feel that such parades do very little to help out of control gamblers fight their addictions. What truly matters the most is inner willpower in these cases.

The ones that possess strong willpower can overcome their gambling addiction while the ones with weak willpower will probably never overcome this issue.
Many times,  why there have been a lot of setbacks in the recovery processes for addicts is because many of them are not willing to fight the addictions this could be as a result of third-party pressure to quit active gambling.

So for sure,  the individual himself must first of all have the willingness to quit before talking anyone into believing that he is taking constant steps towards defeating the hold of addictions.
1528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: November 30, 2023, 10:56:36 PM
Both teams are in a situation that is not that easy to be dealt with for both of them. I think for Atletico it is a bit easier because expectations are not as high. They are still very high, there is no doubt about that. But for Barcelona it is either the title or nothing. A second place doesn't count much. This game could be quite explosive I believe as everyone knows what Atletico is able to do and what they are known for. Their game plan will be to destroy Barcelona's fluent game. That's when the tempers will heat up. This is one of the games that is worth watching.
La Liga is the home for elite strong teams, they don't easily give up and they always hope for the very best performance in matches. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are kind of relenting matches, they don't serve any solid evidence to bounce back to matches other than giving flimsy excuses in areas they failed to develop. Atletico Madrid headcoach, Diego Simeone has one of the best players in La Liga and he's competent in taking the club to another level. Xavi Hernandez will definitely look for a way to bounce back while Diego Simeone will take a longer time to return to the competitive race.
Both the la liga and the premiere leagues are leagues that provide smaller teams the chance to progress and price themselves better and this is why a lot of times,  they have bigger clubs like Real Madrid seems to dominate the leagues,  but then also,  most of the time a lot of efforts are put in place that can limit the bigger clubs chances.

Clubs like Athletico Madrid will be putting up their best foot in the leagues and much more also how best they choose to handle the majority oppositions that may come their way at some point even though the group stage is seemly becoming tougher for them.
1529  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎰yummygame.io| Join NEW Crypto games! 🎉 on: November 30, 2023, 10:34:22 PM
Not that far but I think it's kinda intriguing to anticipate the launch. Well, probably a good marketing by the OP and hope you provide something like a newsletter on your site or provide weekly updates here if you want more engagement in the community, just a suggestion. I do like the hue vibe though on your site, that's a great one.
The newsletter is a very important tool that can help keep the potential client updated and make some point in the end because many of those who will be interested in playing in this casino when the time comes will want to keep in touch with current happenings and events as they play out at some level,  so for sure constant update and fast development will really go a long way to prepare the players mind ahead of the ultimate aim of the casino and what to expect on the long run.

Many outcomes have been really unfavourable if the potential clients are left in the dark without any possible news and updates.
1530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your ideal altcoin? on: November 30, 2023, 10:19:58 PM
Considering the current market trend it would be wise to invest in any project that is using POS. The next would be limited supply as that can only help the coin price to grow up. I do not think ICO in 2023 is a good way to invest I feel it is better to use a centralized exchange platform or an IDO to invest in a new project. Currently, the trends show investing in meme coins or NFTs can be profitable yet, a new blockchain is always perfect to invest in for long-term gain.
Altcoin is best on the pos network since Ethereum which is the primary source of other coins network have fully migrated to the proof of stake network and for now they are operated on Ethereum 2:0 which is most likely the primary network for most coins that are ready to drive in the market for this season,  this is what most of the projects are currently looking and working on so for sure,  it is better to choose coins that run on those network than having those off the network most especially now that the is network congestion and high fees.

This is most likely the main motive that can drive investors' perceptions and motivate them into investing in such projects which are run on the POS network since they take off all those factors.
1531  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: November 30, 2023, 10:12:05 PM
~
Not every gambler is prepared for KYC that is why casinos need to stated that clearly if they ask for KYC verification or not at the point of registration so that individual gamblers would be aware whether they are interested in furthering the registration or not.
Doing KYC on casinos has different levels and.many gamblers do like to do complex verification where their driver's license would be required for ordinary KYC. It is good for us to stick with non-KYC Casinos so we can enjoy everything that is attached to it and its benefits.

I'm pretty sure most casinos stated they require a KYC and any related verification requirements within their site. When the user signs up, they must accept the terms of service or terms and conditions. Any related information regarding KYC must be stated over there, so they did not necessarily need to state it clearly because it has already been stated on the terms. The problem is most users are ignorant or do not even bother to look over the documents that they agreed/accepted upon.
The first thing a gambler should do is to read through the terms and conditions of the casino and also be able to understand them at all times, be for you even make an account on such a casino,  and this is what most casino users don't understand,  some of them just go ahead with account creation even though they have not properly read and understand the terms and conditions of the service and how the level of their KYC have been.

Before accepting the term of service of the casino we must first of all be willing to hand out our documents for verifications because this is the most important stage that always gets gamblers stock at some point if they don't understand what really is happening.
1532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone been able to make steady income with gambling ? on: November 30, 2023, 09:51:36 PM
Making consistent profits from gambling all depends on the kind of bets we are playing and the level of skills we have to make such a bet a profitable one. There are even people that do not have a strong or reliable strategies and they are still making profits from betting. It all depends on what we can do and concentrating on the aspect we are very good at. If we are good at casino games, then we have to keep betting on it so that we can get aquatinted to it and become a better traders. Gambling can be very tasking and stressful if we don't usually make profits as gamblers.
Really,  is there a way take a consistently win from gambling because at some point,  a lot of us make the mistake of taking such steps as taking gambling as a such of stable income which could be a bad choice to make at some points and this should be totally avoided at all cost,  but then also,  even though there may be a lot of few steps that may be involve in all of those steps,  it's still have to do with luck to be able to make a consistent winnings from such bets that can give a guarantee ending for the gambler at some point.

Most times we also have to choose whether or not we want to remain at a baseline that can easily absorb up every possible form of guarantee at some point in time.
1533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone been able to make steady income with gambling ? on: November 30, 2023, 05:53:12 PM
Has anyone been able to make steady income with gambling ? If yes, what had been your strategy ? Do you diversify to multiple games in order to ensure that end result is always profit ?

I personally feel that there are very less chances of making a steady income with gambling. In fact, if you win a big amount in gambling, from there on , you should play games with less on stake and keep the winnings invested in some good option like crypto. It is important to have self control to end profitably with gambling ventures online. Do you agree with this?
Most of us have made some losses in recent time and gambling have not been the most interesting thing to take as a steady means of income and at some point it will ruin your life if you take gambling as a means to make a steady income,  because gambling winning is not something that can be repeated and at that one can't bet on it winning to make an earn meets.

Most times the gamblers that take gambling as a means of income mostly end up in losses and most can't recover from such losses in the long run.
1534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why sports betting? on: November 30, 2023, 05:34:19 PM

Moreover, I like to know if you really believe you can win in sports betting in the long run, or you just really think no chance because every game can be win by luck, sports betting is not exemption.

Winning sports betting especially soccer is not difficult  but it depends on how much that you will win. If you take a small risk then you are likely to win but a very small amount also and increasing the risk means likely to lose. That is the challenge. I'm sure many users here win in soccer bet.

So among the games used in betting, sports is the most practical. It is more friendly, you can relate with sports and understand them without a third-party explanation most likely but other gambling games are rigorous to understand. It is more of practical with sports and people already take part in the games practically by playing them in the field or tracks, so it is self-explanatory, explicit and not confusing.
Not just winning in secrets but also winning in real-time which has made them to choose sports over other games,  most time a lot depends on the ability of the gambler to predict the outcome of the matches or games and that will reduce their chances of losing or increase the chances of winning,  just like Gozie51 said,  a lot of us here win regularly on sports bets and this makes the bets to become our favourite at all time.

Most time before you win on in house games,  you may have lost a lost a lot of time before and this is mostly predictable and avoided in sports bets because gamblers have the chance to analyze the games.
1535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using AI for betting predictions on: November 30, 2023, 05:27:27 PM
Should AI be relied on for sports betting predictions?
In the long run, AI will not help, the casino will have the advantage of the house edge. You can use AI for other things in gambling, but not prediction because AI is not that better than knowledge humans in gambling.
At all,  AI will only predict some easily available data but will not be able to make an on-time decision if the game changes in its dynamism which sometimes needs human actions to either save the total loss or take profits sometimes.

Major reasons why AI development has not really made any headway in major discussions are which is more important than not having some real effect on the success of this development.
1536  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Educational on: November 30, 2023, 04:22:56 PM

The ones that possess strong willpower can overcome their gambling addiction while the ones with weak willpower will probably never overcome this issue.
Some factor that have contributed greatly to the lack of ability to defeat addictions is personal willingness from the addict himself and that must have to do with the ability to defeat the addiction in your mind and head first before every other things,  most times it's better to prevent addiction than to fight it because in fighting addiction you must be prepared to fight an almost impossible evil to defeat,  some times you may need to visit a doctor for some prescriptions.

Most of the time,  many people fail to understand these factors and choose to work much more as preventive than prescription or treatment of addictions.

Welcome to the forum,  but then why rush to announce your project when it's still under development and beside this is a bad way to start,  a lot of members may lose interest in the project after seeing that you have not launched yet,  but so much so we all need to identify the factors that may likely effects your marketing.

Such as:
1:timing
2: mode of marketing
3: site efficiency
4: games features and probabilities.

This and many more are the things that must be carefully looked at.
1538  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can someone explain ? Educated people but all they do is just scam on: November 30, 2023, 02:56:23 PM
Sometimes,  most scammers are most smartest set of forks on the internet but they choose to use the smartness in the wrong directions and that,  so for sure educated or not,  what really matters is what they tend to believe and act on.

Scamming of of different classes and categories and for sure some uneducated people also scam but then they have to put in some dubious tactic that allows them to act on the minds of the victims.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why sports betting? on: November 30, 2023, 02:45:35 PM
Sports bets are more easily won due to the ability of the gambler to easily analyze and speculate the games at some point and being able to relatively predict the outcome of the game,  so for sure since there is no house edge over sports bets that makes it more adapted by many gamblers who have to believe in the sport and are fans that watch the actual sports games such as football matches.

This makes it easier for them to analyse the team based on their player's ability and performance in previous games.
1540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: November 30, 2023, 05:33:21 AM
It's me, In our country our maximum parents discouraged their children and boy's and girls not to do any kind of side work before complete their study. They think that will create defect on their study. Gambling you know in Bangladesh gambling in illigali and it's highly risk to economy. I started gambling on my own and hid this from my family. My parents are not aware of my gambling habit.
I think you have deviated a bit from the original topic of discussion because this question is not about gambling in the country or hiding it from your parents,  but it is about what you do at work,  whether or not you gamble at work and how do you feel gambling in the work environments.

Just like I have been telling folks who combine gambling with other things,  you have to be smart enough to be able to share your time and thoughts between both,  and most times,  that is not as easy as it sounds and for that,  we have to consider some things such as how almost impossible of is to combine gambling with any other thing so the best thing to do is to separate your gambling time from every other thing and only gamble at your free time.
