1521  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long do you think the market will take to recover? on: November 21, 2022, 10:11:00 AM

Of course, I'm not going to argue about that.
Current price volatility tends to remain bearish and this is believed to be one of the reasons why bitcoin is having a hard time breaking through the resistance above it after dropping to $15.5K. At the moment the bitcoin price is still having a hard time breaking through $18K despite the growing confidence in the strength of the market. Now is still the time to buy, but DCA is also important.

Bitcoin is falling again, this Monday morning it is trying to break through 16k to go lower and it looks like it will succeed. When exactly is it worth buying is not an easy question, but we are somewhere near the bottom, and if we miss this moment, the market will recover very quickly, I believe that this will happen much faster than many expect it, so it's important now to monitor the market and not miss the time for purchases.
Strong support at $15500 to $15900 rejected the price that was it third attempt in breaking the support downward but was held back, however if that support is eventually broken then the price of bitcoin might dump to the next support between $9000 to $10000 which I believe is unlikely, though the price had been defying all TA by trending downward, however the best bet is to adopt DCA to continue buying at every dip because it's obvious the bearish runs is likely reaching the bottom thereafter price turn around or renounce to the bullish run will be triggered however this is absolutely unpredictable for now.
1522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 21, 2022, 09:54:17 AM
England team is most likely to win Group B England vs Iran match. England is recognized as a strong team, I know their game performance is a lot of defenders. England team has the highest percentage betting on various betting sites to win. Today's match between Iran and England does not seem to be a winner. However, let's see which team wins on the field of play, everyone is confident that England will win.

No one doubts England, even I predict they will advance to the quarter-finals as they did in the last Euro Cup
I am more specific about Senegal vs Netherlands this match is a bit more difficult to predict cuz Senegal status as African Cup champion
If true Sadio Mane is absent today then it's a great idea to make parlay bets on these two matches.
It will definitely be an easy win for England against an underdog Iranian team having considered the quality players to feature for the English team in today's match both the first team and substitutes are topnotch players, it obvious England will only face tough opponent in the quarterfinal stage. Meanwhile It's pity that the Senegalese team will play without their injured playmaker Sadio Mane unfortunately he is not in Qatar to cheer up his teammates, I believe he was devastated with his injury, nevertheless the match is going to be keenly contested with Senegalese team will try to prove a point as the African champion.
1523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I hardly have up to $100 again in all my fait bank accounts since I joined BTT on: November 20, 2022, 11:15:51 PM
... Except you live in a location where btc is accepted for everything in daily expenses, it is important to keep some csah.

Even if you live in a place where bitcoin is fully accepted, it would not be wise to put your entire fortune in bitcoin. Bitcoin remains a risky and highly volatile asset. They may accept bitcoin today but may also ban it tomorrow. Bitcoin is still a very new asset class, not yet widely recognized, so whether it is accepted or not, you still shouldn't risk your entire fortune.
I also shared the same ideology with OP with 90% of my assets is in crypto I only save some small amount of fiat in my bank account which is meant for smooth running of my family, to make it easier whenever I am in short of fiat I do send some coins to Binance where I do P2P transactions to refill my bank account, this is the method used by most youths in my country invariably  preferred saving or hodling their assets in their wallets, though some prefers using a stable coin like USDT while majority uses bitcoin saving huge amount of fiat in bank is not productive with just some few monthly interest.
1524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambling addict? on: November 20, 2022, 05:18:11 PM
People will deny that they are addicted to gambling until they are cured, they are aware of their addiction, and yet they cannot take the right action to cure themselves because they have an urge that they cannot stop, I will deny I'm addicted to gambling because people will see that I'm sick and need help from professional something that my ego cannot accept.
It is rare for gambling addicts to talk about their addiction or complain about it as a problem. Addict takes their addiction as a lifestyle that seems to be okay with them. When addicts notice of their addiction is when it is causing serious problems that can harm they have no choice than to stop gambling.
Now that gambling can be made online and anonymously makes it even worse to detect an addicted gambler because they won't say anything regarding to it or publicized it, how do you do counsel a gamblers who didn't reveal their problems?  but for the addicted gamblers those that uses physical outlets, shops, casinos etc these categories of gamblers problems can be put under check once their gambling activities is detected, I also gamble precisely soccer bettings but I don't take it serious just for fun based on my knowledge and ability to analyze soccer matches, I never get addicted to it so as to avoid problems such as anxiety and emotions mentioned in the article.
1525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Qatar bribed 8 players from Ecuador for the opening match on: November 20, 2022, 10:02:13 AM
It's one of those hot news, and you can find in almost all the Newspapers.

It looks like Qatar bribed eight Ecuadorian players for $7.4 millions to lose the wold cup opener. And this isn't weird to me, i mean if they already pay a shit ton of money to have the world cup in their country then we can expect from this world cup to be the most corrupt event in the Soccer history.

Some sources:
https://sportsbrief.com/football/28069-reports-qatar-bribed-ecuadorian-players-74-million-lose-opener/
https://www.marca.com/en/world-cup/2022/11/18/6376cfc7ca4741cc208b4573.html

Right now odds pays x3.26 if Qatar win, i know is a risky bet but i'm almost sure they will win. Will you place bets on this game after knowing about the bribe?
Qatar continues to be hit by negative issues even before the world cup starts, I think Qatar might not have any trouble paying the opposing team to give in but it looks like this will be very risky for the progress of football and also Qatar pride,  I don't want to judge whether it is true or not that news because fully I just hope that this year world cup will run smoothly, I think there are many negative issues circulating from the western media such as only aiming to disgrace Qatar or maybe this is just political in nature because previously Qatar has stipulated a ban on LGBT and also alcohol for players or spectators who come to their country?
It's sad that there are a lot of criticism against the Qatar hosting the World Cup apart from ban on alcohol and their strict rules against LGBT there is the issue of unreported death of 6500 migrant workers who worked as casual workers during the construction of their stadium which the country authority outrightly denied but quoted 37 deaths, again the issue of bribery the Ecuadorian players making the latest headlines, whatever the case might be all eyes will beam on the opening match between the teams to confirm the veracity of those bribery allegations, I am very sure FIFA will set up an investigation team to expose those behind the deal.
1526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 20, 2022, 08:31:33 AM
france will have to play the entire tournament without its world class striker Karim Benzema. the striker from spanish cl-winner real madrid had to stop a running session at the national team's first training session in qatar on saturday because of "stabbing pain".
now the confirmation: an injury to the left thigh ends K. Benzema's dream of the world cup title...
A big blow to the French team losing such an in-form profilic striker who recently won Ballon d'Or imagine a World Cup without the current world best player, before Benzema latest injury some of their quality players like Ngolo Kante, Presnel Kimpembe, Nkuku and Paul Pogba were also ruled out due to injury,  honestly this will have negative impact on the team I don't know how the team will cope in their attack and midfield respectively, consequently the team wouldn't be as formidable as expected recall the midfield partnership between Kante and Pogba in the last World Cup, the duo did brilliantly well for the team.
1527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 19, 2022, 08:42:06 AM
Looking ahead, I think they'll be fine and they'll make it to the end in first place without shifting from that position. The most important thing is that their players now do not get injured during the world championship, I think the risk is high, because this championship takes place at an unusual time - right in the middle of the season
Apart from that they also need to make some precautions for them to maintain consistency.
We know Arsenal's problem in the past few seasons has been inconsistency and last season they did the same thing so we don't rule out the possibility that this can still happen this season.
Now the conditions are very good but Arsenal's problems are always unexpected and come at a fast pace so they have to take precautions from the start.
Arsenal who used to be their own worst enemy in their previous seasons had made a remarkable improvement this season in sharp contrast to their previous seasons when they are inconsistent in the league, injury prone players like Thomas Partey who is an influencial player in their midfield is fully fit and plays well, William Saliba is complementing Gabriel in the central defence a perfect replacement for calamitous Holding as well as Zenchenko at their left back doing the job of Tierney while their workaholic striker Gabriel Jesus had been a top performer for the team despite his goal drought he always assist the team defensively which other previous strikers don't.
1528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is here to stay. on: November 19, 2022, 05:50:02 AM
Despite all of the drama with FTX:

-Apple pay added USDC support
providing  an easy on-ramp for 500mil+
-Gaming juggernauts like Riot games are building in web 3.
-Billion dollar brands are incoming to the space.

Crypto is here to stay.

Despite so many good news that have come to the crypto but none of these news were creating the hype. The bad news were still dominating the crypto market. I think that the latest news came from the genesis has been ruining the crypto market again, lending platform keeps halting user's money. This may make people starting to distrust the crypto market. I thought that if the trust will not come easily to the crypto market again. The bad news has been dominating everything.
Bitcoin is not so strong to handle it. It's not easy to attract the billions dollars that have been going away from the cryptocurrency.

I believe the impact of those positive goods will react to the market very soon it's like the bad news overrides the goods news, however I am optimistic that the much needed hype that will trigger the bullish runs is imminent and with the upcoming halving of bitcoin in 2024 is another positive news indicating a better days ahead for crypto hodlers and enthusiast, we had it worse few years ago particularly in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic when the price of cryptos dumped massively, thereafter the price rebound and pumped massively to an ATM of $60K I believe the market will show a similar Price Action again.

The chances of Ronaldo returning to play for Man Utd after the World Cup is slim according to a bbcsport news report the management of the club are seeking legal means to terminate his contract before January transfer window, recall his recent interview with Morgan which Ronaldo publicly criticized Erik Ten Hag for disrespecting him and and revealed his displeasure with some top members of the board in view that the club management is seeking legal means to show him the exit door, personally I think the timing of Ronaldo recent widely publicized interview is wrong which I believe will have an impact on the club especially his relationship with manager if he is allowed to stay thus the best bet is for the club to release once and for all.

I was having a random discussion with someone at along the way and he said he's seen news of Qatar involved in corrupt act before the world Cup against Ecuador which is to be held on Sunday. That they paid some big money to seven players of Ecuador to rig the match and game, can any help me share a link if this is true, I would love to read the full gist on it. Checking the odds it's on the side of Ecuador which means they should win if they don't involve in corrupt ways
if that does happen maybe it is normal for football clubs sometimes there is also a scoring mafia in football and usually this will all affect the bets of gamblers who bet on that sports betting site, moreover Qatar as the host does not want to be embarrassed either at the world cup ceremonial match which will soon start

This cannot be true, if it is truth do you know the consequences of their actions? If it was club games I will agree with you, but this is the prestigious World cup which is the dream of every player. If it is true you will not even know about this, it is not a truth and Qatar is a decipline country, they cannot involve in this kind of scandals that is highly frowned at in football.
That is match fixing if proven to be true FIFA will heavily sanction those involved in the deal both the countries and the players involved will be ban and fined because those involved wanted to bring a bad reputation to competition though it's still a rumour until a thorough investigation is instituted by the Football governing body, I hope the scandal is untrue though I can't rule out some shady deals by some Arab countries because of their oil wealth, Qatar doesn't have a formidable football team however will seek every available opportunity to avoid non qualification from the group stage.

It is very sad news that Sadio will not be able to participate in the 2022 World Cup due to his injury. Because Sadiomane is the second ranked star in the football world who is the star of Senegal this. This sad news is not acceptable as he is a very good and decent player and due to his injury he will not be able to play in the World Cup this time. Sadiomane was the perfect player for Senegal as a powerful and powerful striker.
He injured his ankle while playing a club game. The news of his injury is truly heartbreaking. Sadioman injury is very unfortunate for Senegal. Because Sadioman is one of the best players in the world of football and the best player in Senegal. We were completely deprived of Sadioman game.
It has now been confirmed after further testing and scanning. Sadio Mané will not be attending the World Cup, as confirmed by Senegal. Senegal in particular and the African continent as a whole are very saddened by this news. Since he is still recovering from his injury, he won't be able to join the squad. For his country to qualify for the World Cup, he fought hard. It's so unfortunate. There are so many great players who won't be attending this World Cup.
I feel for the Senegalese team on how they will cope in their World Cup matches without their inspirational and influencial Sadio Mane in the team, unfortunately there won't be a perfect replacement for a player such calibre, this is indeed a sad moment for his country and the team, however they just have to move and get motivated for the team to play well though the team includes some few quality players like Koulibaly, Mendy and Sarr who are experienced and equal to the task ahead, how I wish Sadio Mane a quick recovery so as to play in the tournament unfortunately he had been ruled out.
1532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Gambling Stories on: November 17, 2022, 06:15:27 PM
The guy stealing his girlfriend's money in the story means that the money was collected without the girl's knowledge. If the girl was aware of it, she won't have allowed his boyfriend to gamble with her money. Whatever the guy feels like, is what he will give to the girl. Not 10k or a 40million dollars. Opening up a business for the girl is enough.

About the apprentice and the boss, I won't just listen to him or succumbed to his demands. He should take whatever I give to him. This kind of rubbish will only happen when they see you don't have anyone to speak for you. How can people be this greedy

People really can change when they see money.

And the amount is relative to each person, so someone might do crazy things for $5, others for $1,000, and others for $1M+.

For most people it's just the amount that matters, not if it's the right thing to do.
That is greediness on the part the guy that use his girlfriend's to gamble after winning 100 million he is not willing to part with 40 million that is 40% to 60 %, I think this is fair enough for both parties had it been the guy didn't have access to his girlfriend money the opportunity of winning such a huge amount of money must have elasped invariably lost his chances.
In the case of apprentice and his boss both stories are similar scenario while the former is also very greedy person and not willing to part with the money at a certain ratio having gamble the latter's money, the money should also be shared 40:60 or 50:50.
1533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much was your last big win? on: November 17, 2022, 03:38:57 PM
Of lately I have not had any winning though but I am hopeful I will win but it all depends on how I intend going about it. Winning a game is not as jus playing the game. It takes more efforts and balance to really concentrate on the game. I believe this time around it will be on my side.
I had never had any opportunity of winning a big bet yet because of plenty accumulated odds of which one or two games usually cut my ticket, though I do win some little amount of money with small odds, I am working towards getting my luck of winning a huge bet with a small amount of bet in no distant future, I am well motivated by the news or stories of gamblers who won jackpots and win big, I am optimistic my luck will come someday while betting with the amount of money I can afford to lose to avoided getting addicted and I hope to work towards my soccer matches analysis in picking the sure games.
1534  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Future Trading Liquidated on: November 17, 2022, 03:18:27 PM
                FUTURE TRADING LIQUIDATION
My worst crypto experience is to trading on Future Trade, I trading on future platform as a daily or two to three days trading position, before exit point position, I always find it difficult to make 10% profits, but rather, I always be on the lost side of -40% lost or more, which required me to stay in position 2-3 days or more before the correction of the candle stake to form towards my direction predicted to make  a little gain, and sometimes i will be liquidated from the market.

Alternatively to be on safer side why not start trading with cross margin with a leverage of 3X which is less risky rather than future trading, I tried future trading got a margin call unfortunately got liquidated swiftly due to high volatility in the price of the pair traded thereafter I switched over to less risky option, trading with less risky option and earn small profits is better than trading with highly risky option like future trade in a bid to earn huge profits but ended up liquidated, you have to erase the mindset of becoming rich quickly in trading, earn your small profit while compounding it will amount to huge sum of money in a long run.
1535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 17, 2022, 02:53:09 PM
I also believe that Ronaldo is ready to take that risk because now he has been dropped from the Manchester United squad. He had calculated this long ago and the risks he had foreseen. So he can focus more on the national team squad and let's see because there is no longer a burden on him at Manchester United at least he has the opportunity to show his performance in the World Cup with Portugal and his first match will be against Ghana.

If I'm not mistaken, then Ronaldo missed the last Manchester United matches due to illness, I don't know how he is doing now, he has already recovered or is still ill. Regardless of how he plays in the World Cup, he would still need to change teams in order to have a permanent place in the starting lineup. He is no longer young and has only a few seasons left in the pro shirt, unless he decides to go to Asia later, but he is already rich enough to do it becouse of money.
Ronaldo will miss today's friendly match between Portugal vs Nigeria due to illness known as gastroenteritis a stomach bug, however he will likely play their first match against Ghana on November 24, I don't how his recent outburst against his club manager and the club management will affect his performance at the World Cup, will he be in right frame of mind to play at the top level? I think his present predicament will affect his performance negatively at the competition knowing that he is not coming back to old trafford and the issue of getting a new club all these will occupy his mind and may remain unfocused.
1536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 16, 2022, 06:54:17 PM
In this thread, there ud a question: Who will be champion in the 2022/23 season?
17.2% have bet on Arsenal and 44.3% on Manchester City. Liverpool also have 17.2% with a total of 122 votes. So now it looks different from the predictions. And it's exciting because many seae City as the champions. In the last 5 years they have won 4x and 1x Liverpool 2020. Arsenal the last time in 2004.
The premier league is not meant for Manchester City alone. Let another team takes the trophy home than Manchester City.

I love how Arsenal is topping them with 5 points. At least Manchester City has a strong opponent challenging them to battle the EPL title race since no other club apart from Arsenal is in a good position of stopping Manchester City. The only club(Liverpool) that gives them a tough time is not in their best form this season.
I agreed with you on Arsenal challenging Man City for the league title this season, it's not always competitive enough if a single team is consistently winning the league every season like PSG in Ligue-1, I like how this season is playing out though the league is not yet over however, this is season is in contrast with some previous seasons ago where the dominant team would have been leading the table with a wide gap above the runner-up, if Arsenal continues with this form and remain consistent in their performance week in week out and their players remain injury-free l don't think Man City can catch up with them.
1537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling techniques on: November 16, 2022, 06:20:42 AM
-snip-
I often use the stake doubling technique to several games. I normally do this with dice games and if it played correctly its profitable. What you have to do is simply start with a small stake and every time you lose you double your steak until you win. Once you win, you will recover all the amount you lost. This works if you have enough money to keep doubling your bet, so you should do your math and check with how much you should start. It is not infallible but it works.

The strategy that you use is called martingale strategy. You keep on doubling your bet until you win and then go back to your base amount bet. The strategy may sound very simple and fool proof, but it isn't. You are still risking equally. The more you lose, the faster you will get wiped out. Unless, you have infinite balance, you will lose in the long run due to the house edge.
proven to be not that worth using as gambling strategy for the lowbies , meaning if you are not millionaire or better called a whales? then try not to deal with this unless you are truly a risk taker and love getting intrigue of what may come to your bets?
this thread completely talk about martingale as one of the most riskier and not bringing back wins .
Martingale is a common strategy that can drain your bankroll fast if you are not fortunate. It is not advisable to use this strategy regardless of if you're a newbie or not, but still many gamblers are still using this as their last resort to get back what they lost. Though it's a risky strategy, some gamblers are able to recover back their money through this, actually I experienced to win also using martingale. Anyway, if you don't want to rely alone on luck and a strategy similar to martingale, much better to play a skill-based games wherein skills and strategy have something to do in order to maximize the chances to win.
I am not a fan of martingale system of gambling I had tried it once and ended up with a streak of losses, I am inclined to soccer betting thus I analyzed matches place an accumulated bet usually with small odd to minimize my risk, I had never seen a confirmed gambling strategy that work perfectly, it's up to every individual gamblers to use their own initiative and adopt a strict money management to have an edge over the bookies, gambling is like a fun to me because of the passion I have in soccer bettings which enable me to predict matches aside that type of betting I don't involve or participate any other form of gambling.
1538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don’t make any crazy/suicidal moves in this bear market on: November 15, 2022, 11:30:12 PM
I like to store my coins at exchange before since it would save me time and fee whenever I want to trade them,
But thinking about the risk on holding it there seem's too much, and this reminds me of a very popular phrase "NOT YOUR KEY, NOT YOUR COIN".
It is better to be safe than sorry so instead of risking my funds due to my laziness and cutting off fee I would rather have them on my personal wallet.
I had also followed your footsteps by hodling my coins in my electrum wallet and only transfer the actual trading amount to my exchange for trading, Thermos  made a bold warning to crypto hodlers to hodl their large amount of cryptos in a wallet where you own the private keys, it's obviously very risky to store our coins in any exchange irrespective how reputable and credible the exchange is,  because it has becoming a reoccurring issues of exchanges hacked by hackers with the help of insider and this seem not abating for now despite all the firewall deployed to prevent hackers from gaining access to the exchange.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Can Be Done To Reduce Gambling Related Issues Like Suicide etc? on: November 15, 2022, 09:57:02 PM
There isn't much to be done honestly, as the gamblers themselves should know whether or not they're already crossing a point of no return. All other people can do is to warn them of the possible negative effects of too much gambling. Ads advocating against gambling won't stop any gambler honestly, similar to how negative ads are already placed on most cigarettes yet people aren't deterred in using them. It's a mental and psychological disorder that the gambler themselves, or anyone close to them, should know before any action can be done—at least in my opinion.
Definitely, the only way to reduce gambling addiction and its related issues is through the gambler itself. No other people can stop him or prevent him from gambling addiction if he is also determined to continue what he’s been doing. Maybe the family members can offer some help but it’s only up to there, because at the end of the day if the gambler refuse to accept the help, then he will continue ruining his life with gambling addiction.
Proper counselling an addicted gambler will also help in preventing their suicidal tendency, when an addicted gambler losses massively and become bankrupt thus such a person needed to be closely monitored and counselled properly mostly by a very close family member, however it's becomes difficult if such a gambler does it anonymously without revealing the huge losses to a close relative except if the relative consciously notice it else such an gambler is liable to commit suicide, above all it's advisable to gamble with the amount of money you can afford to lose to avoid touching stories.

As a gambler we see winning big as success is gambling, do you share and celebrate your winning story with friends ?

Have your winning story or celebration lured someone you know into gambling because he wants to win big like you

                                 OR

Have you ever taught or predicted a game for someone which turn out to be a win,how big was it ?
I do gamble anonymously thus I don't reveal my massive winnings to anyone in a bid to lure them into gambling though I will feel elated after winning a huge bet atimes I do giveaway to some of my friends but I never disclose the source of the money, of course I do discuss some soccer tips with my colleagues in my place of work in a bid to analyze some soccer matches and later bet anonymously before the commencement of the match thus I don't disclose my gambling activities to anybody, I am afraid after luring anyone of them to gambling probably after revealing my winnings they might be addicted to it and might cause some financial problems to them.
