If your session on the website times out the livestats will change to show question marks for your numbers, except the hashrate gauge which will drop to zero. I'll see if I can find a good solution for this in the future.

Mint Race 4 is over. Here are the final results:

1543  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Safe and Sane temperature control???? on: June 30, 2013, 09:13:46 PM
Why did you eliminate temperature control for GPUs? The bitminter client lets them heat up to 95C and my PC shuts down. The options menu lets one select between C and F, but, I've never seen it display GPU temperature. I can run uninterrupted using cgminer.

I didn't eliminate it - it was never there.

Only BFL ASIC and BFL FPGA are supported for temperature display. Temperature display, fan control, over/under clocking control, etc. are all still on the TODO list.

If your card is not cooled well enough then I would think it is best to underclock it to achieve stable mining. Perhaps this is what you are doing with cgminer? With BitMinter client you'd have to use another program for the underclocking, like MSI Afterburner, which also has nice fan control.

The mint race is over - Congratulations to the winners!

And a big thanks to CloudHashing for providing great prizes! Smiley

Wow. primaxbits, who is not even on the top 50 hashrates list, is showing some excellent minting work. That's easily first place so far, and it will be very tough to beat.

There's barely over 20 hours left of the race. For some miners time is running out...

1546  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mint Race #4: great prizes from CloudHashing.com ! on: June 29, 2013, 11:17:31 AM
SilentSonicBoom finds a good block, earning him 4th place.

F90kX is having the worst luck this mint race. Now also his second block has been pushed off the top 10 rankings. There is still time though, and he's doing a pretty decent 220+ GH/s. Can be get on the top 10 a third time?
1547  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [12 TH/s] BitMinter.com [ASIC support: var diff, Stratum, GBT, rollntime] on: June 28, 2013, 05:54:57 PM
btceic, did you turn off javascript? The login page should not look like that.

Make sure you have javascript turned on and if you get error messages where you see a URL shown double (http://abchttp/://abc) then turn off broken plugins. Alternatively you can try a different browser if you have one installed and you don't want to deactivate plugins. There's a few plugins for Firefox and Chrome (maybe other browsers too) that are supposed to "enhance" webpages in various ways and break them instead.

I just tested Yahoo login and it worked. If you still have issues, try the above and if it doesn't help use the contact page on the website to send a support request.

Fefox snatches first place away from micheletegon. But will it hold until the end of the race?

F90kX finds a better block and is back in the top 10.
1549  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mint Race #4: great prizes from CloudHashing.com ! on: June 27, 2013, 06:28:17 AM
What kind of partnership will take place between CloudHashing and BitMinter? Will their hardware be mining through BitMinter as their main pool?

That's the plan. Smiley
1550  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mint Race #4: great prizes from CloudHashing.com ! on: June 26, 2013, 12:56:21 PM
As Boomz finds a block, F90kX's block is pushed out of the top 10 positions where the prizes are. We then see F90kX respond by gathering up their hash power and pushing up to over 200 GH/s. micheletegon, not to be outdone, does the same. As the two knife for the top hashrate position, this race is getting interesting. Smiley

pszalwinski's block narrowly misses, placing him outside of the top 10 in the current standings. F90kX can breathe a sigh of relief, but his position is looking very precarious.

In other news, today BitMinter is 2 years old! Smiley

Today it is 2 years since the launch of BitMinter !  Grin

I have a problem  with my name coins .  they were cashed out to vircurex  a few hours ago and they seem to be missing it was about 1.8 nmc how do i trace it.

Try namecoin block explorer, at http://explorer.dot-bit.org/

We've seen jocampo, MarcelM and F90kX find blocks today. With 8 blocks found already and only 10 prizes some of those are not likely to be eligible for a prize by the end of the race. micheletegon is looking pretty secure in first place, though, at least for the time being.

Having connectivity issues here too with eu server.......troubles?

mint, eu1, us1, it's all the same at the moment.

Some miners are still on the old server though, probably because of misbehaving network equipment or software not respecting DNS TTL settings.

Pool down again. Nothing mining at least from what the front page says.

Never mind, you were right. There was a reason the stats fell out. Seems to have cleared up almost right away, though.
1556  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [12 TH/s] BitMinter.com [ASIC support: var diff, Stratum, GBT, rollntime] on: June 25, 2013, 09:19:59 PM
Pool down again. Nothing mining at least from what the front page says.

Everything is up.

It's just a little touchy, sometimes it shows zero if there are network timeouts while trying to retrieve live stats from the mining server. This will be improved as I rewrite the software controlling how the servers communicate with each other (current top priority).

If the live stats aren't working but mining is working, it is still safe to mine. And you should still see accepted proofs of work ticking up if you load the workers list, wait a minute, then refresh.

I wonder if any of you could help me. I couldn't find a local stratum proxy solution for bitminter. all the ones I've found are configured for slush's pool.

Is it possible to configure the existing one to work with the bitminter server or is there a version which I have missed?  Huh

Slush's stratum proxy is for all pools, it just has default settings for his pool.

Try something like:

mining_proxy_1.2.0.exe -o mint.bitminter.com -p 3333

There are also many other options you may want to have a look at.

probably not a bitminter website problem : yahoo id works fine

ok, thanks! openid must be having issues then :-/

If your OpenID identity provider's website is overloaded and responding slowly there may be timeouts when trying to log in.

If you see this often then you may want to add another OpenID identity. You can do this on the BitMinter website under "my account" -> "logins" in the menu.

Live hashrates were down for a moment. Back up now.
1560  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mint Race #4: great prizes from CloudHashing.com ! on: June 25, 2013, 06:16:48 AM
is there a place we can check to see if we created a block? instead of going through all the blocks page by page to see?

It's not possible yet, but I plan to add that in the future.

For the mint race though, it's pretty quick to check, since the latest blocks are listed first. Smiley
