We have a breakdown of 10% for charity, and that slice is sponsoring 188 orphans and is currently in deficit for about $5k. Ill sponsor more from compassion as soon as the deficit is cleared, and as long as someone else does not add a new charity in the budget by then.
REMEMBER ALL: We have IT integration with compassion for the inbound letters, the outbound letters, the orphan row click (biographies), and they have translators, so remember we potentially lose all that if we sponsor children from another charity.
So thats at least 2-3 million coins we will need to do that? Will you be creating proposal soon? I will vote right away! Also, are the budget categories hardcoded in? It seems like its just one big budget and we have to do some work ourselves to balance it out correctly? Im totally okay if it fluctuates. Especially in this case where Charity is #1 priority.

I was also thinking about this. And it's actually awesome to have a budget of $40,000 per month already! I don't know how will the Compassion part be determined every month, but I remembered that with this budget, I think it's completely acceptable to get a listing at masternodes.online ( https://masternodes.online/new-masternode-coins/). Because, even though it's kind of expensive at 0.125 BTC / $2,000, it's only about 5% of the budget, which is not even filled and will get burned if not used. Also, they accept directly BBP, which is great really. I could make a proposal for this if it is a good idea. Go for it inblue! I wasnt sold on the price for masternodes.online, but 616west also likes it. If you guys could negotiate with them that would be awesome. ("every contract is negotiable" )

getgovernanceinfo getsuperblockbudget 24600 We are currently on block 22005 https://biblepay-explorer.org/So 2,595 blocks to go, at 7 minute block rate = 12.6 days, so around January 1st we will hit the superblock There are currently 5,789,219.786313 BBP coins in this superblock budget. So far only about ~10% of those coins have been requested in proposals. Im assuming Rob will request 1-2+ million BBP for Compassion Charity, and Im hoping he requests many coins for his IT work But that should still leave a bunch of coins left in the budget, and if they dont get used they get burned/deleted. ANYONE can create a proposal and request coins: http://wiki.biblepay.org/Create_Sanctuary_2#SUBMIT_PROPOSALIm surprised there aren't more people creating proposals! For a proposal to be approved it has to receive a net 10% of Yes votes (there are currently 48 sanctuaries, so you will probably need 5 Yes votes)

I have a simple question. gen=1 just sets generate coins to true, is that right? It doesn't influence number of processors or cores being used. And genproclimit=X is the number of threads. If you have a 12 thread processor and want to use all threads genproclimit=12. If you have multi processors would you leave it at 12 or use the multiple of processors or cores?
Correct! For best number of mining threads I would play around with different numbers and see which amount maxes out your CPU, Note, it does take a few minutes for the mining to stabilize

And one thing we need to work on Togo, is ensuring we can budget our prioritized items, to ensure for example Orphans are paid before PR, and before wikis, etc.
Very good point! Would you want to create the Charity proposal for this month? I will vote immediately for it and spread the word, I read that proposals get sorted to be paid going from most yes votes to least?

Can only masternode owners submit proposals? I would like to earn my way to one. One project I can greatly expand on is the Biblepay Homeless Ministry (PR budget) and an IT project or two.
ANYONE can submit a budget proposal! There were multiple people asking to be paid first before doing work for the project, now we have a budget! http://wiki.biblepay.org/Create_Sanctuary_2#SUBMIT_PROPOSALTry it out webster!

Now that Sanctuaries (Masternodes) are live, we have a Budget Proposal System now!: http://wiki.biblepay.org/Create_Sanctuary_2#SUBMIT_PROPOSALAnyone can offer work and be paid in BBP coins from the new budget, so anyone who was interested in bounties/rewards for work can now create budget proposals and sanctuaries can vote to approve or deny the proposals Block Reward Breakdown: 10% Charity 5% IT 2.5% PR (Public Relation campaigns) 2.5% P2P (orphan letter writing, Pay To Preach, Pay to be a Priest, FAQ writers, Social Media functions) 40% Miners 40% Sanctuaries (Masternodes) Emission Schedule: http://wiki.biblepay.org/Emission_Schedule For Example, assuming 70 million BBP coins are minted January 2018, there will be: 7 million BBP for Charity fund 3.5 million BBP for IT fund 1.75 million BBP for PR fund 1.75 million BBP for P2P fund We dont have any best practices yet, this is all very new, and Im curious to see what ideas and proposals people come up with! and Im curious to see how this whole system evolves! Budget/Proposal Questions:
- What is our current budget/proposal schedule? how to look it up?
- Are proposals funded all at once or in payments throughout the month?
- What happens to budget funds that do not get allocated/spent on any proposals?
- How many net Yes votes does a budget proposal need in order to be accepted for funding?

the one issue is right now with the exchanges frozen, the price won't reflect what I think will happen (a gentle bump). But I guess the payout on proposals isn't until January, which brings me to a question. How do we word a proposal that doesn't cite specific amounts of BBP but rather a price/value? Should the proposals say (using current $0.004444 and 23 sat values) 11,251 BBP to pay a $50 expense for some work done based on the current value or should they say, pay $50 in BBP and that price be determined on the payout day? Likewise with prices in BTC, so the above, would the proposal say .125 BTC in BBP or should it say 544K BBP to pay a .125 BTC for a listing expense?
The two issues I see are in the first example (work done), citing the value as BBP puts a lot of risk of fluctuation. Not singling out Togo because he's been HUGE in this, but he's asking for $600 at the current rate for a total of 135K BBP. But if the price were to double between now and the January payouts, he would get a huge windfall, and likewise, if the price plummeted (if BTC dropped to $6K and we stayed at 23 sat), he would not get fairly paid. Either is a poor outcome. In the second case, we MUST pay .125 BTC worth of BBP so expressing it at 544K BBP isn't very workable.

Yes, masternodes.online worths the money, it will bring attention to more people. And mnrank too. I like masternodes.online better, easier to use even though masternodes.pro was the first site I used of the two. The .pro site has much better search engine ratings, .online is better laid out and easier to use. But 1/8th BTC seems way out of line, probably made sense when BTC was $4K, not so much pushing $20K. Does anyone want to reach out to them and attempt to negotiate for a lower fee?

touché, I am profit driven as well I volunteered with the expectation that I would not necessarily be rewarded financially and I viewed it as a learning experience. I will be happy to be paid for past work, but if not, that is okay as well That does bring up proposals! Now that Masternodes are good, we have a Budget Proposal System: http://wiki.biblepay.org/Create_Sanctuary_2#SUBMIT_PROPOSALAnyone can offer work and be paid in BBP coins from the new budget, so anyone who was interested in bounties/rewards for work can now create budget proposals and sanctuaries can vote to approve or deny the proposals Block Reward Breakdown: 10% Charity 5% IT 2.5% PR (Public Relation campaigns) 2.5% P2P (orphan letter writing, Pay To Preach, Pay to be a Priest, FAQ writers, Social Media functions) 40% Miners 40% Sanctuaries (Masternodes) Emission Schedule: http://wiki.biblepay.org/Emission_Schedule For Example, assuming 70 million BBP coins are minted January 2018, there will be: 7 million BBP for Charity fund 3.5 million BBP for IT fund 1.75 million BBP for PR fund 1.75 million BBP for P2P fund We dont have any best practices yet, this is all very new, and Im curious to see what ideas and proposals people come up with! and Im curious to see how this whole system evolves!

Im fine with all the updates, to make an omelette gotta break some eggs and overall this is good practice. Dont be sorry Rob!, Only a few awesome volunteers helped test things in testnet while the rest chased profits The new IT budget will also help greatly in the future! Having a news section on the website is a good idea (a new website is under development by volunteers) I make Reddit and Twitter posts for every mandatory upgrade.
