LiveCoinWatch has added our Max Supply as 5,200,000,000
Ive also contacted CoinMarketCap to add that and add our forum link as well

===

Another Topic, Telegram, the private/secure/encrypted chat messaging service, is really big in the crypto world,

Someone already claimed the channel BiblePay and has 14 members and messages about other coin's airdrops periodically
MarginPro claimed BiblePayForum and has 44 members, Ive seen miners in there talking
I claimed BiblePayBBP and have 3 members

Im not sure who MarginPro is, but Ive reached out to him

So we have the dilemma of which channel to support and advertise?,
do we trust the people running the other channels?,
and do we want to go the route of contacting Telegram for us to get full control of the BiblePay channel?

I havent advertised Telegram because Ive been unsure of what route to go

===

In a similar Note, a miner named Matt owns the BiblePay Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/BiblePay/
He hasn't made any posts since January,
Is anyone interested to run the Facebook group?

Matt in the past has been open to adding admins, but I dont have a Facebook account,
and I havent been in contact with him for a long time but I could reach out to him again

and we can also go the route of contacting Facebook to get control if needed/wanted

===

I currently own the Twitter, Reddit and Discord,
Im open to giving others full power on these if interested and if active/established in BiblePay (and in case I die or something LOL)

Jaap is an admin on Reddit
Luke is an admin on Discord
no one else has access to the Twitter, but I am open to using a service to allow that

Anyways, just trying to get the social media ducks in a row, Telegram and Facebook are both important avenues of communication

Alright everyone,

I've been working on a PowerPoint that we can use for the Ghana Biblepay Awareness Tour. I'd really appreciate if I could get some feedback on it: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1eEz7DvHXIvqyO4vl1GiHuS8BtnOpvgpV

It's a little bit of Togo, a little bit of Lichtsucher, and a little bit of myself. Hope you don't mind Togo and Lichtsucher  Grin

The 'Biblepay and Ghana' section is really basic, but I want to leave that mostly to Cryptoshot (who is doing the tour in person).

This is absolutely fabulous, not just for the tour but also for our website and for new users to read!  It answers a LOT of questions people keep asking.  I can also use this to respond to some of my recurring e-mails!

BEAUTIFUL JOB!

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1eEz7DvHXIvqyO4vl1GiHuS8BtnOpvgpV

Wow this really is FANTASTIC! Great work Jaap!!!

Would love to post this on Reddit and Twitter and have it added to our Website!

Please submit a proposal for all the great work your have been doing Jaap, Support, PR, etc, You have my vote!

I believe these are lists of other BOINC projects:
http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Project_list
https://boinc.berkeley.edu/projects.php

Not sure if and how many of them are CPU only though and also align with our current mission of healing and curing

But yeah no need to jump the gun, but always good to look at options

Are both southxchange.com and C-CEX equally reliable / trusted? Which one is better from your experience?

I would like to buy a significant amount of BBP. Are these exchanges the best (or only) way?

I believe they have both been pretty good to us,
A little while back C-CEX went on vacation with little notice and it also came to light that they lost Verge coins,
I believe they still have new user registration disabled last I checked,
So Id go with SouthXChange

There are other ways to slowly gain coins, but yes using the Exchanges would be the best way to get a lot of coins

Has anyone posted on the Rosetta forums to let them know about tasks running out?

I assume they are probably aware, but you never know

I see the coin supply on this explorer is 450 MM while coinmarketcap shows 496 MM:
https://explorer.biblepay-central.org/info

I wonder which one is wrong...  Biblepay-Central however has the correct difficulty level and appears to be in sync.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/biblepay/
https://www.livecoinwatch.com/price/BiblePay-BBP

https://explorer.biblepay-central.org/
http://explorer.biblepay.org:3001/

Looks like ouur Explorers coin supplys are different,
I am using the Iquidus value "BALANCES" below for the coin supply setting in explorer/settings.json:

Code:
// how to calculate current coin supply
// COINBASE : total sent from coinbase (PoW)
// GETINFO : retreive from getinfo api call (PoS)
// HEAVY: retreive from heavys getsupply api call
// BALANCES : total of all address balances
// TXOUTSET : retreive from gettxoutsetinfo api call
  "supply": "BALANCES",

https://github.com/iquidus/explorer/blob/3a8148edc28c3c6431fd0164d7973e49f53c5a69/lib/explorer.js#L233

"gettxoutsetinfo" command also shows 496 million

Code:
gettxoutsetinfo
{
  "height": 36801,
  "bestblock": "060494963426d106e7fb166b64ec807992e315ce09321eab891553b508c508fd",

BiblePay got listed on LiveCoinWatch
https://www.livecoinwatch.com/price/BiblePay-BBP
https://twitter.com/LiveCoinWatch/status/978263154273804288

I believe its a competitor to CoinMarketCap, I remember reading in the crypto subreddits that people were concerned CoinMarketCap was skewing things, I dont know the details

Is BiblePay's Max Total Supply 5.2 billion? I can contact both to have them list that as our max supply.

Hi, how often are the Automatic Withdrawals in the official pool? Daily? Weekly? After BBP threshold?

I think it only occurs after having 110 BBP, and will take out 10% every time above 100 BBP, something like that, I think the process is daily

please correct me if Im wrong!
1089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay | Masternodes | Sanctuaries | POBH - ASIC Resistant | 10% ORPHANS on: March 26, 2018, 02:15:53 PM
Current Cancer Research Mining requires 500 BBP per 1 Magnitude,
it defaults the staking of utxoamount to 50000,
April 1st we will see the staking requirement become 20 BBP per 1 RAC

Use "exec getboincinfo" command to see your Magnitude and RAC
And add or edit "utxoamount=X" in your biblepay.conf file

If you dont have enough BBP to fully stake you will still get rewarded, you will just get a smaller percentage of rewards
1090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay | Masternodes | Sanctuaries | POBH - ASIC Resistant | 10% ORPHANS on: March 25, 2018, 06:27:07 PM
So the problem I am trying to tackle with our website, is trying to make our messaging clear and simple
and appeal to those that know nothing or very little about cryptocurrency and help educate them

For example, think if Compassion, BLOOM or CameroonONE or a Church linked our website to their audience,
would any of them know what a block time is, or what ASIC-Resistant means, or what a Masternode is?

At most maybe some have heard of Bitcoin, but probably very few actually own any Bitcoin and even less own or know about altcoins.
So we have a very large uneducated crypto audience we want to appeal to.

We have crypto Miners, Day/Swing Traders, Investors, and then we have the general public.

So I think its best to make the landing page non-technical and highlight our main non-technical features
and give paths for the crypto uneducated to learn more and paths for the already crypto educated to dive into the technical details.

Our main non-technical features/highlights in my eyes are:  10% Charity, Cancer Research, and Spreading Christianity

And then more technically, we have the
Coin Specification (block time, number of coins, Biblehash algorithm, ASIC-Resistant, CPU Only, emissions rate, reward breakdown),
Masternodes (Decentralized Governance, Proposals, Voting, Monthly Budget, InstantSend, PrivateSend),
and Mining (POW, Cancer Research)

Ive analyzed over 15+ crypto websites and most of them are pretty bad at appealing to newcomers,
they assume the user already has a ton of crypto knowledge, and they throw too much information at users too quickly
and arent clear in what they are. (Bitcoin and Monero both did a bit of a better job appealing to newcomers)

https://getmonero.org/

Anyways, would love feedback on what you guys think,
Im definitely not a web designer but this is my mockup so far:  http://54.213.89.10

Also any general website feedback you can give here in "Website Enhancements & Suggestions" section on the BiblePay Forum:

A month ago or so, Amanda B Johnson, spokesperson of Dash, cancelled her contract working with a PR firm after 3 months and basically gave up trying to spread the word of DASH to the general public / news outlets and is now doing a Youtube show and targeting the /r/Cryptocurrency subreddit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/dashpay/comments/7zjptw/update_and_path_forward_from_amanda_b_johnson/

"I assumed the most fertile ground for spreading DASH awareness was among the crypto un-initiated. I thought that DASH would do well to try to get its name out there to newbs in the midst of growing cryptocurrency awareness.

I was wrong. Or rather, just not as right as I should have been.

Most of the un-initiated reporters I’ve been talking to over the last few months pretty much only want to know the supposed reasons for Bitcoin price movements, and whether their readers should buy it. When I steer the conversation toward DASH, it just leaves them even more confused than they already are. They can’t wrap their heads around one crypto, much less the fact that there are many and why DASH is best at so many things.

[...]

I now believe that the most fertile ground for DASH is -- for example -- amongst readers of r/cryptocurrency. That is, people who already own one or more crypto and likely trade on exchanges. Because they’re using exchanges, these people see their options and definitely know that DASH is among them."

Heres a link to the BiblePay website Im experimenting with:  http://54.213.89.10/
(Here is the current website: https://www.biblepay.org/)

Im trying to figure out the best menu layout,

Im not sure where to fit:
- Learning (what is blockchain/cryptocurrency, youtube videos and articles, etc)
- Logo Design Files (will probably be part of a press kit section I think)
- Hiring (open team positions)
- News/Blog

(typically on websites I think press kit and hiring are in the footer of the website)
(and there is space in the top left above the logo to put links to Learning and News/Blog)

I am also not sure of the best messaging for BiblePay and what content to put on the 1st page,
but I will be experimenting this weekend

Im a big fan of competition breeding the best results,
I think Thomas has done an excellent job for the very little amount he has been paid so far,
and I hope he submits another proposal,
I just enjoy experimenting with my own canvas hehe

The question is that why do we need so many currency coins at the moment ? Are BTC , MONERO , DASH not enough ?

Bitcoin, Monero and Dash are not ASIC-Resistant which can lead to heavy miner centralization
Bitcoin and Monero do not have a way to self fund themselves, they rely on donations (and giving money can have strings attached)
Bitcoin and Monero do not have a way to make decentralized decisions

BiblePay is ASIC-Resistant,
BiblePay is self funding,
BiblePay can make decentralized decisions

BiblePay gives 10% to Charity [203 orphans are being sponsored monthly already] (and rewards writing letters to Orphans)
BiblePay contributes majority of CPU cycles to cancer research
Every BiblePay node is a full node
BiblePay spreads Christianity (Bible verses chained into blocks, Bible built into Wallet, Transaction Prayer Requests, Rewards for reading/listening/watching Gospel links, budget for preaching, etc)

That is pretty amazing that we will reach #1 in RAC  Cheesy
but it will take awhile to be the team that has contributed the most work  Wink

Can someone explain what i need to write in the config file in order to solo mine bible pay . thank you and God bless.

https://www.biblepay-central.org/en/mining-how-to/
http://wiki.biblepay.org/Distributed_Computing_2

You will need utxoamount=X in your biblepay.conf
X being a BiblePay staking amount, currently its 500 BBP per 1 Magnitude
and in the next week or so may become 20 BBP per 1 RAC

I went ahead and contacted or submitted forms for:

Name --------------- Website ----------------------- Listing Fee -------- Volume
Crypto Bridge ------ https://crypto-bridge.org/ --- 1 BTC -------------- https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/cryptobridge/ ----- Submitted Form
Coinroom ---------- https://coinroom.com/ -------- ?? ------------------ https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/coinroom/ -------- Contacted
Mercatox ----------- https://mercatox.com/ ------- 1.0-1.5 BTC -------- https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/mercatox/ -------- Contacted
Yobit ---------------- https://yobit.net/en/ --------- 0, 0.1, 0.5 BTC ---- https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/yobit/ ------------- Submitted Form
Poloniex   ----------- https://poloniex.com/ ------- Free? --------------- https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/poloniex/ ---------- Submitted Form

Livecoin is too expensive for us right now at 4 BTC,
I think we can reasonably do 1 BTC from one or two monthly budgets

Bittrex is also free, but we have to have an Enhanced Verified Account with them to submit a listing, which we would need Rob I believe:
"Please provide an Enhanced Verified Account of team member registered on Bittrex.
This team member must be either a core developer or a major shareholder (10% or more) of a company that backs the development of the coin.
That member will need to submit identifying documents to get their account Enhanced Verified."

C-CEX still has new user registration disabled and has drama over losing Verge coins
CoinsMarkets is slowly enabling some coins, but has basically been offline for us for a couple months now
SouthXChange is doing well for us
