161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China is thinking about unbanning bitcoin mining after price rise on: October 26, 2021, 10:16:38 AM
The ban of crypto in China really didn't made much of a negative impact for a period of time since mining farms from other countries managed to produce more and Bitcoin easily recovered in a month and unbanning it (if OP's source is legitimate) won't really make much of an impact anymore, we really don't need China's help as it looks sustainable even without them.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: October 26, 2021, 10:02:00 AM
Not a hater though, but to anyone who actually watched Logan Paul's  recent exhibition matches which when he boxed against Floyd Mayweather, well, it was actually a shit show, they just hugged each other the whole match and then end up Logan winning the match and I doubt that this is gonna be a good fight as it'll definitely be another fixed match, might as well put your bets on Logan, I am a big fan of Mikey but this is just gonna be rigged, trust me.
163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 25, 2021, 09:00:49 PM
Finally, the Lakers had their first win, but, it was a close game and they almost lose this game.

Westbrook is still below his standard, only scored 13 points but I'm glad Melo bring back the clock and he was the leading scorer of the team with 28 pionts and 6-8 shooting from 3, that was insane.  Smiley
One of the best games of Morant in his NBA career but he choked in his final free throw attempt to tie the game.
I'm thinking, what if Morant made that free throw and put the game into Overtime? Will the Lakers win that game? Cheesy

Well, happy for the Laker nation to get their first win and I hope that this is the start for them. Glad to see that the points of the team are distributed as 6 players are in double digits. Melo stepped up with 28 points and Westbrook is starting to improve with a double-double 13 points, 13 assists. Not the best performance for WB but not the worst either and lets give him some time and he will improve over time Smiley.

Young Ja is still in the process, he improved his 3pt shooting though, actually surprised on the performance he showed but never surprised that he'll be the best man in the court, he's just built different, you can see how they almost got LA, if he didn't miss that and forced overtime, I'm pretty sure that LeBron will step up but against a young Ja Morant? now that's gonna be a good battle, I'm pretty sure Ja won't choke next time he gets the opportunity.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon doesn't own Shiba? on: October 25, 2021, 08:57:12 PM
I found a news that the Shiba Inu commuity is not happy with Elon Musk. $SHIB crashed after Musk revealed he didn’t own it and only had BTC, ETH and DOGE. Elon Musk has a Shiba Inu puppy at home. Elon Musk has joked about Shiba Inu, but Elon Musk doesn’t hodl Shiba Inu.

Replying to one of the many Shiba Inu accounts on Crypto Twitter, the famous Elon Musk confirmed that he didn’t own Shiba Inu, despite being a highly influential figure for that community.

I think this will have an effect with the Shiba price but not a big effect because Shiba is still at 0.000042$ at price even if Elon musk revealed he doesn't own Shiba what was your thoughts on this folks?

He did tweet a meme related to SHIBA the other day, nothing major will happen but for the SHIBA community to actually be upset about the news, the memecoin is still doing good after a short crash, also, Elon revealed the coins he is holding last 2 months AFAIK, but, I'm pretty sure that he's just here to support the coin and not invest in it, we don't know what Elon's plan is but I'm pretty sure that he'll continue to support the coin.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance promoting Shiba Inu on: October 25, 2021, 08:50:56 PM
I don't think this is much of a problem. Top exchanges promote coins or tokens they feel have much more traction, over its competitors. And binance is no exception. I think Shiba Inu would eventually eclipse Doge coin as the king of meme coins aka shit coins. Lol
With the current tweets from shiba Inu, they asked Elon about how many Shib he has and Musk replied none. In that instance, Shib drop over of 20% so its unlikely to Shib to overcome the Great Doge backed by Elon Musk. Still many are ignorant with the meme coins they support but we cant blame them though.

Is this legit? I'm not a SHIB supporter nor EM supporter but I checked the real price of SHIB right now and after a short dip, it went back to normal, prior to the tweet, I think Elon was just being honest and I'm pretty sure that he doesn't hold any Dogecoin as well, it didn't entirely affect SHIB but we all know how powerful Elon is when it comes to manipulating the price.

I don't know but the graph you showed might be fake.

166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance promoting Shiba Inu on: October 25, 2021, 12:47:49 PM
SHIB ain't really a memecoin anymore if that's the case, even if we know that Binance promotes cryptocoins a lot, they never did promote Dogecoin back then but SHIB is an exception, I think Binance sees the potential that SHIB has compared to Dogecoin, a lot were actually doubting on this coin but I might consider investing in SHIB if this continues.
167  Other / Off-topic / Re: YouTube channels hacked and rebranded for live-streaming crypto scams on: October 25, 2021, 11:30:17 AM
Recently, a local YouTuber in my country got hacked, he had around 10m subscribers on the day he lost his account, later on, it turned into a crypto channel and a livestream wherein it only showcases a giveaway and description about that currency, everything in the livestream was actually fake, fake crypto and a fake giveaway, a whole channel intended for scamming, and finally Google realizing how impactful this is to the YouTube platform, I'm glad they have noticed this since this scam has been running for quite a long time now.

I actually searched crypto on YouTube and it was a bunch of fake livestreams, I am actually surprised that these livestreams on YT had 200+ viewers making it look legitimate somehow, but I myself am knowledgeable and can identify which is real and which is suspicious, seeing this good news from Google I think the numbers of content creators being hacked will lessen from now on.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: October 25, 2021, 12:14:22 AM
I'm not thinking that way. Gaballo is a rising star and if bettors will place a bet on him, it's worth betting and not actually can be considered as a huge risk. Donaire's experience and firepower can't be ignored and even at this age, he can still explode but it doesn't mean he has all the advantages on that match.

In terms of betting, there's no comfort bet whether you bet on Donaire and Gaballo. I don't see Donaire as a Favorite nor Gaballo as an underdog. The latter just becomes an underdog because of Donaire's experience. Gaballo's 24 KOs out of 20 matches should not be treated as an easy task just because most of his opponents are far from being popular.

I'm not with Gaballo to win but I'm sure he will give the veteran Donaire a close match and possibly an upset.

Donaire is considered already as a veteran boxer equipped with enough fight experience from his past fights however the rising star Gaballo is also a type of a fighter that the opponent shouldn't be comfortable with. Gaballo is younger than Donaire when it comes to age but this young fighter have had an experience already with a 24 fights and 20KO considered as underdog because of the experience of Donaire compare to him but betting on Gaballo may not be considered as a huge risk. I had seen the fights of Donaire inside the ring and this fighter is exceptional however with this upcoming fight I go with Gaballo instead.

Betting on the underdog in a fight with a good odd is already good and not a risk in my opinion. Because if the underdog upsets the favourite then obviously it will be a good win.

And in this fight, Gaballo has a good chance to win against Donaire because of his youth. Of course, our sentimental favourite will still be Donaire because he has bring so much glory to PH in the last 15 years or so, like Manny Pacquiao. But this is a fight that could really be the passing of the torch to the new guy that will carry it again for PH in the next coming years.

If there's odds already we will have an idea how attractive the odds of Gaballo in this fight are.

It's hard to decide if we will just follow our heart as most of us will bet on Donaire to win, but if the odds are very low since he is clearly the favorite here, we would not make a good profit in this fight.

We are looking for an upset if we bet on Gaballo, and if he wins, we will also enjoy a good return on our money.
$100 to win $300, I think this one is good enough for me.

I don't really think it's hard to decide on this one, the age gap is a big problem, I know that Nonito has solidified himself inside the ring and considering the amount of fights that he had inside the ring, but will his punches still be as solid as when he was still young? Reymart Gaballo is only 25 whilst Nonito Donaire is 38, there's a big gap, I love Nonito Donaire and have been a fan ever since he started to rise and gain popularity but if we're talking about bets on this fight, I might have to go with the younger and potential boxer Reymart Gaballo, that's my opinion, feel free to give any honest reactions.
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 24, 2021, 06:58:49 AM
What do you think guys? are they capable of getting into the playoffs after winning this game?

A one-game can't decide the overall outcome.

Regarding their chance to make it on the playoffs, can't conclude right away as we have only seen roughly 2-3 games played by teams this season. For the record, Memphis Grizzlies always finished at the bottom of the standing in the competitive Western Conference. They got into playoffs last year but go thru via play-in tournament. Unfortunately, got eliminated by the Utah Jazz in the first round and only manage to get 1 win. Take note, prior to that, their last playoffs appearance was way back in 2017. That's how they struggle in Western Conference.

LA Clippers vs Memphis Grizzlies has started I wanted to see another dunk like this.

Don't worry. You will see lots of dunk highlights like that courtesy of Ja Morant throughout the season.

Can't forget about the Bulls though, you got some highflyers on that roster as well, you got Caruso, DeRozan, LaVine, Green and Zo.  Cool

This season is packed with some crazy highflyers from each roster, I'm still waiting for Jalen Green's first highlight dunk.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 24, 2021, 06:54:33 AM
I can totally see a not great season for Lakers as it doesn't seem that this team have the chemistry between the players so don't expect much from them. Yea , they will reach play offs and stuff but they will not have a long run in it.

Tonight it is time for Pacers to take their first win as they deserved to win both of them their first 2 games as last night they manage to comeback after and still manage to lose in ET...

Woah, hold on there mate, 3 games ain't enough to define the whole season and playoffs for a team, right now the Lakers are on adjustment mode, you can see that these are not your typical young fresh players, these are somewhat considered veterans at their 30's, they've been stuck on a playstyle that is self-centered, Russ is an example of that playstyle, he got used to being the center of attraction and now he's having difficulties, LeBron is a great distributor but it's a bad idea teaming those two up on the same lineup, Russ needs to redeem himself personally as I think he is one of the reasons why the Lakers are struggling in the past few games, the season has just begun, they have plenty of time to fix these issues.

I even watched AD and Howard tussled with each other during timeout, this is a clear reason why I had doubts with the Lakers but the potential is definitely there.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins have the potential for growth? on: October 24, 2021, 06:44:12 AM
Since everyone is talking about NFT projects, I just want to share my thoughts which will give everyone an idea of how dangerous would it be if you landed on the wrong project. Yes! the wrong project existed in the world of NFTs especially in the NFT games where there only made in a short period and there has no real roadmaps but they attracted investors with high rewards in the beginning. Yes, the high rewards are only in the beginning and as soon as you invested and started to play you will see the slow changes. at first, it will give you fewer rewards which will lead to no reward at all just what happened in NFT games like Cryptoblade and others.

This is why you shouldn't just ride the wave without hesitating or thinking if it has potential, Crypto Blades didn't have enough exposure, it did fell off just like the other NFT games, some people will just right away invest in these NFT projects without actually looking at the project's potential growth in the future, be mindful that the hype dies especially if the project isn't established with a strong foundation.

But to focus at the OP's topic, I personally think that SHIBA may or may just be a memecoin but what it's showing is actual potential on growing or even outgrowing some altcoins on the market.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you actually using/buying NFT's, and Gaming Tokens? on: October 24, 2021, 06:31:37 AM
I tried to play one game that was extremely popular in July. It was called Crypto Blades. Now it is abandoned by devs, but at the beginning it was really successful. So I played around 10 days when it was on the peak of popularity and its token increased by 2 times during this period and when I calculated then, I understood that if I had holded their tokens SKILLs without playing I would have earned the same sum of money.

To be honest, Crypto Blades was doing good, I really thought it would compete with Axie Infinity since it looked really promising, I think what lacked from Crypto Blades is that it was all hype at first but then fell off after a few weeks, they even had partnerships with big companies. NFT projects are still on the hype and I'm pretty sure that the devs of Crypto Blades switched onto something new.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme Post sold for $28000 !!! on: October 24, 2021, 02:24:15 AM
The reason why it was bought at $28000 is for somebody else in the marketplace to actually buy it at a higher price, that's how NFT works in the first place, so I guess the person who bought that Elon Musk meme must've been someone related to the owner, and because of the price given, the buyer can actually sell the meme for a higher price, this is just a theory, I might be wrong but that meme is definitely gonna be sold at a higher price.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The risks of using Bitcoin on: October 23, 2021, 09:45:20 PM
Although there are many risks that we face in using bitcoin but it will all be easy for us to overcome if we work in accordance with the procedures that have been set, of all the risks you mentioned one of the most severe is that is against the law and this is very difficult for us to avoid, if a country has banned the use of bitcoin and all transactions that occur then we are very depressed if we have such a large asset but we cannot avoid it. Use it, and coupled with the sanctions given then this will be a big problem.

Just like the Government of China banning the whole cryptocurrency on their country, going against the law means you could face possible charges if caught, aside from the law, we face other risks that were mentioned by the OP and I think that with the amount of time we've spent doing crypto and Bitcoin we were used to facing these risks, it is risky but we do it because it's beneficial for us.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Going public saying you own Bitcoin is not safe anymore on: October 23, 2021, 02:57:50 PM
Since when was it even safe to admit or brag to anyone that you own Bitcoin?

It's just simply flexing that you have a big fat wallet, in the eyes of a thief. In the case of the 14-year old kid, it's the kid's fault but still, his/her parents could have at least know about this since trading at a young age needs adult supervision, can't put the blame on the kid but to the parents themselves.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you pay with crypto??? on: October 23, 2021, 07:00:51 AM
  • Bitcoin
  • Ethereum
  • BNB
  • Stablecoin
those are the 4 coins that I use as a means of payment on the internet, and the ones I use the most are BNB and stable coins. however, I chose the two coins because they have cheaper fees than bitcoin and ethereum. however, under certain circumstances, I also use bitcoin and ethereum as means of payment on the internet because both coins have wider acceptance than BNB.

BNB provides a cheaper fee compared to the other cryptocurrencies you mentioned above, I as well use BNB a lot for transactions since it's really cheap compared to other coins, though I use Bitcoin for such payments if the online store only accepts Bitcoin or ETH, I wouldn't want to use Ethereum though because of the gas fee, my go-to cryptocurrencies will definitely be Bitcoin, BNB and Ethereum.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain Bitcoin to Newbies on: October 22, 2021, 11:14:12 PM
There's a friend about Bitcoin last 2 years who have no interest in it but I was surprised when he came to me last week to tell me what he need to know about Bitcoin. I asked him why the sudden change of heart, he told me about the testimony he hear from someone and how he would have made enough profit effortlessly.

He's still a newbie. My question is, is there a way or link for to explain Bitcoin to newbies?

Apart from the forum rules and regulations is there a thread on this forum that explains in detail the whole concept of crypto currency on this forum?

Depends if he prefers watching or reading, if he likes to read blogs/articles online then this forum is the perfect place for him, there's a board called "Beginners & Help" which can really be helpful for your friend, though if you want to teach him then might as well make it enthusiastic, the forum alone has lots of useful threads for beginners, outside the forum you have platforms like YouTube or Reddit that provides information about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole.

178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: October 22, 2021, 01:25:29 PM
0-1 in the regular season so far, still looking for my first win.

We have only 3 games on the table, but I was able to pick the best one for me.
Tonight, I have the Miami Heat to win against the Bucks.

From slight underdog to favorites now, I got the Heat @-2.5, GL!

Lol, Heat just smothered the Bucks by big 40+ points so enough to covered you spread mate, congrats to your first win.

I haven't bet on this game though, I'm 1-1 so far but we all know that there's plenty of games in the calendar for us so better be smart in choosing our bets. Warriors vs Clippers is close, but if I have to bet, I will go with the Warriors yet.

I hadn’t seen the box scores yet and that does sound like the Bucks caught a beat down. Safe to say the Heat covered. They’ve got a pretty good team this year after a busy couple of offseasons signing players. I don’t think they’re as good as they showed here tonight, and maybe is more of a sign of how exhausted the team is after giving their all against the Nets and not yet being in playing shape.

I was not expecting this huge win by the Heat, looks like they already have their revenge and send a statement to the Bucks that they will be a hard team to beat once they meet again in the playoffs. Giannis wasn't a big factor in this game, he was only held to 15 points and when he struggles, the whole team will, so congrats to me, lol.

Tyler Herro alongside with Bam were doing productivity the whole game, they were so consistent that the Bucks weren't able to catch up, Jrue Holiday's defense is pretty essential on Bucks' success last season, and I think this game could've been a close match if Jrue was there, their outside D was pretty bad and resulted to a lot of 3-pointers.

I don't think that if Giannis struggles, the whole team struggles too, bench wasn't being productive and I didn't see Middleton made use of his perimeter jump shots on this game.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 22, 2021, 06:55:23 AM
Keep an eye on the all-time greatest 3 points shooters, Curry is going to make it this season as he already average 5 3 points per game in 2 games so far.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/fg3_career.html
If playing against a team that is not good with defense or a high-scoring team, the chance of Curry to surpass Ray Allen soon is very big.

Curry made 402 3-pointers way back 2015-2016 season, if he stays healthy through the whole season then he'll definitely surpass Ray Allen this season at the age of 33, just imagine if he doesn't get injured this season, he'll probably average 5 to 6 3pointers made per game, today's game is an example on how deadly Curry can be if he's in the zone always, I can sense another MVP from this man if he can get the Warriors to the playoffs or even win another ring.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia took third place in the world in bitcoin mining on: October 21, 2021, 05:40:29 PM
No wonder China rank last in the chart because of its permanent banning on crypto and all its crypto related activities. I even think crypto will be better without China around. As for Russia, its slowly adopting bitcoin and gradually changed their negative views on bitcoin and crypto. And i think Russia will rank up in the chart soon as long as it has cheap electricity that will eventually increase bitcoin mining. And lastly, President Putin itself is now very positive on bitcoin and maybe in the future, bitcoin will also be applied in oil trading which is the President's priority before they come up legalizing bitcoin.

China will be left behind in the dust as other countries adopt Bitcoin for their own benefit. With how everything's been progressing lately, I think Russia will become the next epicenter of Bitcoin mining. It could probably rise all the way towards second place after the United States in this regard. It's a very exciting moment, as Bitcoin continues to take the world by storm. I'm pretty sure other countries will adopt it as legal tender too, as El Salvador's move becomes a widespread success. The more miners are geographically distributed, the more decentralized Bitcoin will be. I see China's Bitcoin "ban" more beneficial than harmful to its existence. Who knows how everything will look like after Bitcoin's next halving event in 2024? Just my thoughts Grin

China will be left out as other countries continue to legalize cryptocurrency, it's really not alarming anymore to see such a stupid decision from the government of China, it also really isn't a big deal that they won't be doing mining anymore since Russia's Bitcoin mining is popping off recently, Russia is a much more fitting country for bitcoin mining to take place, I hope the government of Russia recognizes this.
