Google isn't stupid.
They will be making big moves to adopt Bitcoin into their current payment and services model.
When this happens, BTC will hit $2,000 plus.

I like the sound of CryptoGenicBullion myself....

Wow so much ignorance here.
PayPal is horrible. No self respecting businessman should use it.
That said, most important thing, I think, is to be willing to use Escrow on the first few purchases, then people can trust you and you can sell without it.

Funny how the cancellations for buys always happen when the price of BTC goes up
|
|
|
If it was just a delay, I would say no big deal... but considering all the problems people including me have had with them canceling orders as the price was rising, I would say they are worse than Mt Gox.

A shanghai or hong kong bank account would not assist you in making withdraws from mtgox. The issue is with sending SWIFT wires anywhere, so you need a domestic bank account either in Japan or in Poland if you want quicker withdraws without paying the 5% SWIFT withdraw fee.
If you're going to pay the 5% SWIFT withdraw fee, MtGox will send you're USD wires to America without issue. The queue for SWIFT transfers is no shorter inside the US than outside.
Best of luck to ya.
So how long does a typical SWIFT transaction usually take to process?

I've been playing with it for a few days.... very nice so far.

Any updates meelos?
Sounds like you need to get an attorney to draft a formal request letter and mail and fax it to them ASAP.

Buy on BTC-E or BitStamp.
BTC-E seems the best to trade on.
If you want to sell BTC look at the current price of BTC on each exchange, sell at the highest one.

Bank wire domestic is $35, international is $45. Those are my bank fees at least.
Don't use CoinBase. They are cancelling orders like crazy if you buy at a good price.
Much better to use BTC-E, BitStamp, CoinMKT, BitKonan, Bitfinex, or Bitcoin Brokers.

Welcome to the club.
Olaf (who is part of CoinBase) said to open a ticket. I opened one today and will see if they will honor their word.
I bought at $530 on 11/19/13 and the order got mysteriously canceled two days later for the infamous *high risk* excuse.
I will post my update to let you know if they make it right or not. If they don't, I'm done doing business with them.

You should see the troll box on BTC-E They're going crazy over there!

I was a little upset also. I made a sale at $770, said 2 days to bank account. I logged back in and the BTC was back in my account. Submitted a ticket and no response. Updated it and still no response.
They never even bothered to let me know they cancelled it, and I am verified with previous transactions.
The lack of response is bad.
It's becoming quite obvious they are not an exchange, but rather a place for the site owner to dump expensive BTC and manipulate members trades to his own advantage. CoinBase, more like CoinScam!

DO NOT USE COINBASE! YOU ARE BETTER OFF PAYING FOR BITCOINS WITH PAYPAL ON THE CURRENCY EXCHANGE FORUM! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

|

DO NOT USE COINBASE!
I put in an order to buy at $530 two days ago and today I get the high risk email, even though I have done all the verifications!
Bunch of thieves!

I'm fed up! Coinbase just cancelled an order I placed two days ago, on the 19th, at $530 .... I get an email TODAY that it was cancelled. Geez, I wonder if it has anything to do with with the price hitting $700! ARGH! Honestly at this point I say everyone boycott Coinbase! I know I am not the only one they are screwing! Their reasoning is that it was high risk, which is laughable. I am verified Level 1, would be Level 2 if they let even one transaction through! To hell with them.

You realize Bitcoin is not mainstream yet, right?
We have about a year to go.
I don't think we're doing that bad to be honest. Astronomical growth if I've ever seen it.

Like him or not, he is helping bring Bitcoin to mass adoption.
