781  Economy / Lending / Re: Andrew Williams is an unreliable Lender! BEWARE! on: September 23, 2013, 05:59:05 AM
In light of this revelation of information. I changed the whole post once more. I am sorry for the misunderstanding.

Andrew, a personal advise, Do not lean like this man! What if all this is a scam I organized with Vod? would you send 1.8BTC on "good faith" even though the agreement is clearly saying I don't owe you anything if 5 BTC were not sent on the 22nd O_o? this is Bitcoin land and you felt comfortable after doing the due diligence and getting the signed message that any one can confirm. Why would you risk me stealing the coins now? This defeats the whole purpose :S.

- Lophie

It's up to you. I'm trying to create a good situation out of one that he tried to sabotage.

I'm a very honest person and similarly I believe I can spot other honest people by the way they conduct themselves. If you are generous enough to see past my delay in funding and accept a payment tomorrow, I would be most appreciative.

782  Economy / Lending / Re: Andrew Williams is an unreliable Lender! BEWARE! on: September 23, 2013, 05:46:38 AM
Hi guys. Just came back home. Of course I have to explain myself I don't want to misjudge people.

You all were here ever since I posted the loan request you all read the escalation of discussion of my information, proof of funds and collateral. So lets move from there.

Andrew, Disagreeing with Vod does not make you innocent but again does not make you guilty. Please understand that all of us here understand this. This is Bitcoin world and it is full of FUD.

But the accusations from Vod are real and they described you as an identity thief and described your pattern of behaviour which you cannot deny that you followed it to the letter today.

Finding a person requesting a loan showing intention of willingness to fund that loan and after the "alleged" victim gives their personal information, communication ceases.

(I have to point here that Andrew asked specific questions and did the due diligence regarding my collateral which is too much for just a scammer. This must be noted.)

Now if you kindly explain to us why we should not think that this is the case. May you please enlighten us after all the communications yesterday and agreements, sending of personal information and you finalizing everything with "The bitcoins will be there by tomorrow morning.". Why did you not either send the Bitcoins or PM/post anything regarding the delay.

Now assuming that indeed you had an issue that made you unable to either send the loan or post about the delay. Why did you accept this time constrained loan request if you knew you cannot fulfil it in time? Do you know that this lending market is full of people who are willing to lend me and others for even less interest than you? Yes I willingly jumped waiting for all of them because I was indeed under a time constraint and yes I accepted a 20% interest rate now I could not pay for the family expenses because you did not let someone else take the deal when you knew you cannot fulfil it on time. I hope you can see the extend of how unreliable "as a lender for a time constrained loan" you are.

I am sorry if the thread new subject offends you and I am willing to change it as we discuss what happened with you. I apologize my eyes only see what is in from of them please tell us about what is on the background. Tell us what exactly happened.

I also checked my PM. If what happened was not exactly as Vod's post accused pattern of yours. I wouldn't have posted what I posted. I am sorry and please tell us your side of the story. Thank you.

Hello Lophie,

Because I understand how it looks because of Vod's accusation (made before your thread was started), I go into great detail about how he has lied about me. I will spare you multiple readings:

Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=98684.msg3214203#msg3214203
It breaks down, lie by lie, every falsehood Vod has accused me of, including attacking my Christian religion.

Vod posted that in my trust profile to do exactly that, scare away borrowers. If he hadn't lied and defamed me like that, you probably would have PM'ed me, I would have responded and that's it.

I was taken aback you accused me of scamming you when I did nothing to you Lophie. A PM would have sufficed. But again, I have taken into account the way Vod's lies make me look.

As I posted earlier, I am new to Bitcoin. I have yet to master it by any means. I was caught off guard because the date you expected it was a Sunday, and my main source for getting Bitcoin had reached their maximum output on LocalBitcoins.com. I tried doing it through another lenders but they were cash only, not online transfer. All banks are closed on Sunday in USA, so I was unable to pull it off. Sorry for the delay, I honestly did not aim to do it on purpose. In fact I tried to make sure it would happen today but got blindsided by the learning curve using LocalBitcoins.com.

As of now, I have 1.89 BTC in my wallet, if that helps I can send now, and the rest tomorrow when the bank is open (and I can get my supply of Bitcoin through LocalBitcoins.com). Again sorry, if you don't want to proceed I understand. Otherwise I can lend you the 1.89 now to show good faith, and the rest tomorrow. Or if you prefer we can call it off. Just know I am not a scammer and have nothing to hide. The two loans I have funded speak for themselves.
783  Economy / Lending / Re: Andrew Williams is an identity thief! BEWARE! on: September 23, 2013, 05:19:13 AM
He is purposely interpreting things to fit his agenda. I am the guy that Vod is saying that was Asked for my Social Security Number and other documents that will be used to steal my identity.

Whoa.  I don't know what Andrew Williams offered you, but I never said you were the guy who reported that.  You're making a story up and obviously untrustworthy.   Angry

Wow, it doesn't stop.

I did not offer BitcoinLeader anything, nor did I contact him and tell him to post anything prior to his post. He did so on his own accord. Again, Mods are free to check my account inside out.

Vod, again, shoots first and asks questions later. It took about 2 seconds for Vod to throw BitcoinLeader under the bus and brand him as untrustworthy.

The truth is Vod is abusing his power. Plain and simple. This is not a good way to interact with forum members who seek to grow the community.

[UPDATE]
Now Vod is accusing BitcoinLeader of requesting a reputation scam loan, when Vod made a reputation loan himself today! Vod just want to trash newbies reputation before even giving them a chance! BitcoinLeader closed his own thread on his OWN volution admitting he was oblivious to the fact that it's frowned upon for a newbie to request large loans, yet Vod keeps the bad feedback on him and continues to trash him, including on this thread!

Posting the link to Vod's reputation loan he made, which he so despises.
784  Economy / Lending / Re: Andrew Williams is an identity thief! BEWARE! on: September 23, 2013, 05:14:14 AM
Good post BitcoinLeader, I am glad others are standing up to this bully.

In all honesty, I never, ever would ask someone for their social security number. It is just not true.

I have called out on Vod several times to produce proof. He ignores me, locks his thread he made to defame me, and goes on spamming that I am a scammer with no proof, even having been refuted with evidence to the contrary. Namely successfully funded loans, in which I bear the enormity of the risk.

I am reaching out to the Mods to put Vod's lie to rest.

Also, I would not put it past Vod to use a sockpuppet account to send himself a PM saying I requested a social security number. When I laid it out in the open, that he would be found out by the Mods if he indeed tried this, since there would be no correlating PM from me to the sock puppet account, he responded in anger, locking the thread.

To make it perfectly clear: I already understand that the goal is to stop scammers before they scam, not only giving neg feedback after a scam has occurred. But it is a clear abuse of power in Vod's case, especially when making up the lie that I am asking for socials and bank info, when that is 100% untrue. If Vod needs to go to the lengths of making up things to strengthen his claim of a scam, he is going about this in the wrong fashion.
785  Economy / Lending / Re: A list of defaulted loans (list of scammers inside here) on: September 23, 2013, 04:12:08 AM
Please read the thread in it's entirety.

I have never scammed or stolen anyone's identity. I am a new member and understand why Lophie got "scared," but if you read my post on Lophie's thread you can see I am straight as an arrow.

I have PMed Lophie and hopefully this will be resolved tomorrow.

Thank you.

Vod Is Abusing His Power

Much of the trouble is caused by Vod. I am not the only one he has harrassed, and he does so incessantly and without proof.
If a Mod wants to get involved I would be very grateful. Vod trolls me and is attempting to cause strife in my borrowers by posting untrue neg feedback on me, which he has changed at least 5 different times to fit the lie he is pushing at the time. He also posts in threads of my borrowers trying to scare them. He did this to i3lome's loan thread and was unsuccessful. The loan was funded in it's entirety by me.

Personal Attacks By Vod On Me and My Religion

Also, Vod has made personal attacks against my religion. As a Christian, I posted in the defaming thread Vod made about me in the lending section that I would forgive him if he stopped lying, in the face of evidence that I never did any of the things he accused me of. His response was saying I was a member of a cult (referring to Christianity as a cult).

Since my name was mentioned, I should point out that AndrewWilliams has publicly stated he is in a religious cult and as a result of that membership he has no moral compass.  He scams and lies, then rubs his hands together, prays to his god, and walks away with a clear conscious.

Honestly, Tomatocage, I know he helps you go through the lending forum to find potential scammers, and looking over his posts and feedback, he does a good job [most] of the time. It's unfortunate however, that he has made the wrong assertion regarding me, and refuses to correct it.

Completed Loans

Please be fair and see that I have only made two loans, but both are successful:

One to i3lome for 4 BTC, and one to russianbusinessman3 for 3 BTC. Both were funded by me. I admit I fund late sometimes (1 day), but that is because I am new to Bitcoin and still getting the hang of transferring Bitcoins using Localbitcoins and the wallets. This is basically what happened with Lophie.

Vod's Untrue Negative Feedback

What really irks me, Tomatocage, is that Vod has changed his neg feedback on my trust profile to this lie:

Quote from: Vod
(updated) This user is an identity thief. He PMs users in the Newbie forum offering to lend money. Users have reported he asks for social security numbers, bank account info and passports. If you post negative feedback he will do the same to extort you to remove yours. He also claims to be working with a lawyer but no such person exists. Finally, has admitted to being in a cult, so will not have any moral issues with stealing. BE VERY CAREFUL TRADING WITH THIS USER.

1. He says I am an identity proof when this is not true and their is no evidence to support it. In fact i3lome has refuted this to Vod directly, but Vod ignores the facts.
I have never asked for social security numbers, ever. I have never asked for bank account info or passports. Lophie, being outside the USA, offered his passport as ID, and I obliged.
2. I have never PMed anyone in Newbie forum who has not started a thread requesting a loan. In fact, the only PM I have made on the newbie forum was to russianbusinessman3 who started a loan thread, and who I successfully loaned to, all public record in the thread.
3. No users have reported I ask for social security numbers, because I never have asked. Please check my PMs, outgoing and ingoing, my posts, and you will see nothing of the sort. I do suspect Vod setup a sockpuppet account and sent himself a PM saying something of the sort to try and incriminate me, but this is easily exposed by looking at that account and seeing I never even contacted them.
4. He started harassing me on i3lome's thread when I answered his baiting question. He asked me why I felt confident lending i3lome even after he rejected lending to him. I stated I have a friend who is an attorney, and was going to help with a contract. Upon me saying those words Vod went on a rampage saying I was a scammer because I was lying. In an extortion like move, he gave me bad neg feedback, only saying he would remove it if I had my friend contact him. I let him know this was an unreasonable request, and I was not going to subject my friend to him, after he defamed me without cause. After all his defaming, I was still able to loan i3lome the amount he requested.
I was fair enough to tell Vod, that if he really felt me saying I had a friend who is an attorney gives me an unfair advantage in lending, I would remove all references to it. Instead of answering me he locks the thread he started just to defame me, and calls me a scammer.
All this, and the fact is that the loan with i3lome was already agreed upon before I mentioned my friend. Classic baiting by Vod.
And really, is the bar set so low, that saying you have a friend look over a contract, who is an attorney, that improbable?
5. Saying I'm in a cult is seriously hateful. He has already stated he hates religion, but this is no excuse to say I am involved in calling my Christian religion a cult. This is just inflammatory, would not be tolerated in an office setting, and should not be tolerated online.

I thank you for your time Tamatocage and trust you will be fair.

I would like to move on from this and continue lending to the Bitcoin community. I do this for fun on the side as a hobby in addition to my full time job. I never thought I would be attacked like this from someone who is in a position of trust in the community (Vod), but unfortunately that is what happened. I hope for a positive resolution and to continue helping people Smiley

P.S. If you would like to talk on the phone, I will gladly PM you my phone number. I am a businessman, so you can imagine how dealing with accusation of scamming is definitely a shock, and not conducive of my nature. Thanks again for your time.

This user is currently ignored.

Hmmm Lophie, you may want to consider locking the thread too, or else A.Williams is going to use it as yet another canvas for his delusions.  I have him on ignore so I won't ever respond to him, but I'm sure the community is getting sick of all the BS he spews in EVERY THREAD.   Sad

You should let Lophie decide for himself instead of trying to bait him like you did with other members on here.

You would love him to lock the thread because you know I am right, that this was a misunderstanding caused by YOUR fear mongering and baseless neg feedback.

You tried the same thing with the loan I made to i3lome, but in that case, i3lome didn't fall for your lies. I was a day or two late delivering the loan to him, but that is based on my newness to Bitcoin and in making transfers. His loan was funded despite all your attempts at derailing it.
..

Lophie, I've messaged you. It's 7 PM here Pacific Time, I know your time zone it's already Monday but, message me when you're back on.

To reiterate, Vod tried the same scare tactic that relied on his neg feedback in i3lome's thread. If you read the thread you can see I successfully funded i3lome. Yes I was a day late, but you can cough that up to me being new to Bitcoin and the learning curve involved.

i3lome's Loan Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=294472.msg3201870#msg3201870

My trackrecord:
i3lome: Successfully funded. Done without collateral, used contract and ID.
russianbusinesman: Successfully funded. Done with collateral, and ID.

Those are the only two loans I have funded. Both borrowers are happy from what I can tell. I have never entered into any other loan with anybody else.

So sorry I am technically late in funding you loan, but being a day late does not mean I am scamming you. Thanks for reading, I hope to hear back from you.

787  Economy / Lending / Re: Andrew Williams is an identity thief! BEWARE! on: September 23, 2013, 02:17:41 AM
Congrats Bitcoin community. Another scammer exposed.  Roll Eyes. Just stole a photocopy of my passport. no coins though  Cheesy. So I am pretty much okay with it  Wink.

Good on you Lophie for figuring it out.  You're not the first person to notice it.

If you wouldn't mind, could you please confirm that in no way did I ask or encourage you to make this post, or change the title of your thread.  I have been at a remote acreage all day.  Smiley

Don't pat yourself on the back yet, Vod you liar.

You have no proof and have accused me of identity theft and asking for social security numbers for the past couple days with no proof. You are nothing more than a lying troll.

YOU STILL HAVE NOT PRODUCED THE PM YOU CLAIM TO HAVE YOU SAY THAT SHOWS I ASKED FOR A SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.

I WELCOME MODS TO CHECK YOUR PM's AND SHOW YOU ARE FULL OF IT.

VOD HAS PUT ME ON IGNORE EVER SINCE I CALLED HIM OUT ON PRODUCING PROOF, THE SO-CALLED PM HE SAYS HE HAS.

THERE IS NO SUBSTANCE TO YOUR ACCUSATIONS, AND ALL YOU ARE DOING IS FEAR MONGORING. I CAN THANK YOU FOR SCARING LOPHIE INTO MAKING A RASH POST INSTEAD OF CALMLY WAITING FOR THE LOAN.

THE LOAN THREAD YOU CITED WAS SUCCESSFULLY FUNDED BY ME. THERE IS NO SCAM. YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE YELLING SCAM OVER AND OVER AGAIN, AND YOU DO IT BASED ON WHIMS, NOT EVIDENCE.

788  Economy / Lending / Re: Andrew Williams is an identity thief! BEWARE! on: September 23, 2013, 01:50:00 AM
It would be nice if you messaged me before leaping to conclusions.

Please read your PM.

I am not an identity thief, so please don't pile on to other trigger happy people, thanks.

Also, I do not think someone would be able to steal an identity with a passport pic....

Tomato, thanks for the advisory, but you can check I am definitely not a scammer. I have lent to two people in the last week on here successfully.
If you would like, I can PM you the threads and their names.

The person that left me a neg feedback is Vod. He has been a thorn in my side accusing me of identity theft with no proof. The borrower whose thread he started trouble on, i3lome, even refuted Vod claims. The loan was made to i3lome successfully. I took the risk with no collateral in that case, and using only a contract and ID.

The lastest trouble Vod has caused is accusing me of asking for social security numbers. He claimed that he had a text from another member saying I asked for their social security number. I called him out on it. I have never, ever asked anyone for a social, and Mods are free to check all my PM's ingoing and out. Once he realized that he was busted on his lie he locked the thread he created to smear me. So again, no one I have dealt with has ever said I have stolen identities. This is a lie by Vod, who has no proof of anything of the sort.

Tomato, Theymos, you can check and see I have NEVER asked for social security numbers. I do not know why Vod has gone to such great lengths to smear me, but his claims are unfounded. My only goal as a member on here is to loan and make a small profit. That's it. I don't care about people's ID info. It's used as security and that's it.

Seems very nice if it's attainable.
790  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFL & The Reasons For the VERY VERY slow deliverys on: September 23, 2013, 01:31:38 AM
I see more people doing Group Buys and investing in companies like ASICMiner instead of trying to procure the hardware themselves.

The miner's worst enemy is time and difficulty.

If BFL is a mint, difficulty is inflation, and time is time.

BFL is more than happy for inflation to rise, and time to go on, since their technology gets cheaper for them the older it is.

ANY person in the tech industry knows, you protect against having delays in time sensitive technology based hardware, by including clauses that imposes a penalty on late delivery, or voids the whole order altogether.

Time for consumers to band together and put their foot down. Angry

l01, you are spot on.

I've done my own research on GB (group buys and cooperatives), and none of them would be profitable at the current $ to Ghz. Spoke to a an organizer and they reluctantly admitted the same. Tongue

My theory is, once the blood starts flowing in the streets come January or February, and the common miner comes to the realization they will not hit ROI, they will stop buying new hardware. Then, and only then would be the appropriate time to buy. Once the "overeager" money is wiped out.

Thoughts?

If he was really a trader he wouldn't say stupid things like:
"Statistically, There is more chance that you die in an airplane crash than losing your money."

If he was a really trader, he would know making statements like that are grounds for losing your license.

BTW, Adam, what Series licenses do you hold?

Don't mind Vod.

He hates Christians and calls Christianity a cult. Apparently this is the way he refers to Sunday Sermons. It also seems to be the reason he gave me neg feedback too (saw my signature is a Psalm).

We'll pray for you, oh pathetic evil one.

I did lock a thread in lending because I have realized you cannot debate with the guy.  I have to live with my words and actions while he does not.

I will be sparing EVERYBODY further annoyance by putting him on ignore and therefore not responding to any more of his BS.

Calling Christianity a cult, wow, you've really outdone yourself now Vod, you troll.

I think you just told everybody everything they need to know about you.
..

FYI, Vod locked the thread as soon as mentioned that his lies were going to be found out by the Mod Theymos since his claim of receiving a PM was going to be checked out, he realized he would be caught in his own lie.

800  Other / Meta / Re: Proper Use of Trust System? on: September 22, 2013, 07:12:48 AM
Yesterday, somebody didn't like a post that I made on a thread and they posted a negative review for me. I don't really understand how this should be related to trust, but more importantly, why does a single review throw my entire rating into red letters? It doesn't involve a transaction or anything.

Is there a process to remove a misplaced rating? How does the weighting work?

If you neg rep a scammer, most times they will neg rep you back to "extort" you to remove yours.  Nothing you can do about it.   Embarrassed

Jumpy, this is exactly what Vod did to me. He's been trolling around trying to spread lies about me. When I called him on it in a thread he started in the lending section, he locked it.

See Vod's post history.

While I do appreciate Vod taking off the false neg rep you posted about me saying I asked for social security numbers (Maybe he realized there was no proof to your lie? Or was it that he were afraid Mods would discover you used a sockpuppet account to send the PM to himself?),
it would be great if he went all the way and got rid of the other two neg reps he posted prior to that:

1. Accusing me of extorting to remove negative feedback. The member you gave me bad rep did so over a difference of opinion. When I told him it was foolish, posted neg rep for him for the same thing, he removed it. Simple.
2. Accusing me of possible identity theft. I either am or not. Don't accuse people for the sake of being "safe." Your made it up, and have no proof. Even the OP on the thread you started your BS on told you your wrong, but your refuse to listen. :shakes head:
