Well that's just as condescending to Monero - I've stated there that Monero doesn't have NIZKP either (the simple implementation in keyimages aside). I appreciate Fluffypony's comments and questions. They will be addressed by ryno or another in time. Eventually someone is going to ask some kind of question/questions it happens. I'd rather them be from someone with an once of understanding than from a childish person like emilio or benthach etc.
Plus we have always been cool with ANC. Lets try and keep things as civil as we can, and respond with well reasoned and worded answers.
and remember asking legit questions is not FUD. Everyone should be entitled to ask their questions.

What you quoted above isn't what is in the white paper and with closed code, no one can do a deeper analysis or make sure it really will not being created "phantom tokens" or several other things.
This was the first and last time I wasted my time writing something for you or anyone else who don't knows how to talk as a civilized person.
The code is basically open source. The only things missing are RPC commands and UI code... only so people can't direct clone. Everything else is there to do a proper and full analysis of shadowsend v2. The problem is if they do a full analysis they then have nothing to fud about. Plus they don't have the balls to talk under their main account. |

So here is a question I've been curious about for a long time.
I've seen what feels like hundreds of people now, show up here and in IRC, say hopeful things about the project and also say that they are ready to buy and will soon as ZK is out mainnet after SDC has essentially fully proven itself.
I feel like I have literally seen this sentiment well over a hundred times (likely way more). So my question is what the hell are these people going to do when ZK launches? They do realize there is only 6.5M coins? And that as it would seem the vast majority of them seem to be in very strong hands. So what is going to happen? If you look at the order books there is no supply. I'm sure if we blast through 30k and get up to 50k-70k etc Some people will ROI, or eventually sell off, However I feel the buyers demands will vastly, Vastly outweigh the sellers even at prices several times higher than now.
So my question is, is almost everyone going to miss the boat? There have been plenty of chances to get >20k SD, and even more chances to grab it between 20-30k.
Are most of them going to miss the boat entirely? And be forced to kick themselves in the as forever like I do about my BTC stash before it went above $5.00 ^.^
I'm just generally curious what you think is going to happen.

I think this is the root of the issue. There IS irrational fearmongering that is based complete falsehoods to try and take down competing coins. There is ALSO a hell of a lot of scamming and shit that goes on behind closed doors. People who are legitimately exposted try to say that FUD in discovering the truth is the same as the FUD that is the same as 100% bullshit. Being a victim and crying about fudders in crypto is the new status quoe. People use the word FUD as a defense mechanism against criticism of their choice of investment. Most "FUD" is true and most of what is termed as "FUD" are people objections and concerns. Real "FUD" would be statements which offer 0 thought or evidence of validity and malicious behavior like giant red text etc. If a person is crying "OMG FUD!! leetz rofl's your r a hater!" then I just assume they have no idea what they are talking about in the first place. Exactly, and then peoples emotions get involved and the entire thing devolves into senseless posting. Its near impossible to have any sort of discussion with out being labeled a troller or a fudster. Raise a point of discussion and if someone doesn't like it your labeled a fudder 90% of the time. |

One way the big holders could do it is to pay people in SDC to write services for the coin. Sort of like a bounty, but he gets the product of the work done, not the devs.
Example: "Write me an online poker app that takes SDC. I'll pay you 50,000 SDC." Now he's 1) distributed the coin, 2) has a site he can run to make profit, and 3) has created another use for the coin that will increase the demand for it, and thus the price.
I don't have enough SDC to do things like this, just an idea.
Now this idea has much potential. Hrmm, would be a good way to stimulate third party development and attract more attention and talent. I also like that I am seeing much more discussion and decent topics then hype posts and troll posts. |

With the small number of coins available and potential for trillions in market cap due to its technical advantages, I wouldn't want to sell a SDC for less than several BTC.
On the other hand, distribution is going to have to be much better for it to ever realize that potential. Somebody is going to have to bite the bullet. That leads to some interesting economic questions- let's say you hold all or nearly all of a coin- it's worthless if you are the only one using it, and worthless to you if you don't own any, so how would you distribute it to maximize your own wealth?
I don't know that this has ever been addressed.
That is an interesting question and dilemma. Because one of the easiest ways to make a coin go up is to have alot of th currency. That's one reason why not market cap is so high. I think like 7 people got the entire ipo of nxt when it launched. There is an article on it somewhere that breaks it down. |

I think u are overthinking this and are mind-fucking yourself. Pump and dump happens with everycoin. When ZK will be released there will be another pump, but in the future there will be another dump. It's just the way it goes with crypto. Chill out man It is the way of economics in general. Not limited to cryptos. I agree but for example a pump that shoots the price up with 80% in a day is a common sight in the crypto-market while in forex u will never see a move even close to that. Stocks is possible but pump and dumps are easily achieved in the crypto market because of the small market cap that a lot of altcoins have. I get what you mean though  Well I have seen skip around here for sometime. Yes, maybe somebody knows something. Maybe. But inciting sell-off is exactly what you wouldn't do if you wanted to exit nice & quietly. So 'what maybe known' smells like impending good news to me.......because : quo bono ? OK, so I missed the news.
What's the plan the Dev's have for SDC.

I'm still holding despite the huge amount of trolling between XST and SDC communities. You guys should come to some sort of truce as it's really bad for both coins, it will put off potential investors.

Did you actually read the article? The article read SDC community would go attacking any coins who they think could harm their investments. They would also attacking any coins they think it could enhanced their investments. I think you need to go back to reading comprehension class. |
