My work here is done!

Funny that you are posting private messages now (which is something considered a no-go in traditional Internet culture btw.) since the quoted post shows how you still haven't released something announced for the "next week" even a month after.  Grin  In the mean time I have already released two stable releases of my new Titcoin wallet.

I hope your work here is done because you are spreading nothing but hate and grudge. My work is not done, I will continue developing the Titcoin wallet to provide the Titcoin users with the best possible experience.  Smiley
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Titcoin [TIT] Community thread - Alternative ANN - The cryptocurrency for adults on: November 26, 2018, 07:19:37 PM
I made it very clear to Gandalf86 that he can do his own thing, however, he insisted on moving into our threads and imposing on what we are doing. That had a knock-on effect that forced our hand to identify him for impersonating the developers and he did that without shame or thought about what he was doing. At this stage, everyone can see what is happening and we already have the support of the "Real"TitCoin community.

I have no idea where you get that "impersonation" idea from, I have never claimed to be anyone else than myself. I am a Titcoin community member making a new wallet under a new repository that is fully compatible with the original Titcoin wallet. That's it. And the reason why I am doing is is because I want to support the original Titcoin like it used to be since it was created, as a Bitcoin clone with a focus on the adult market.

The DailyTitcoin account has existed for quite some time, I have nothing to do with it, it is operated by someone else who also seems to want the original Titcoin to continue to exist. The Telegram channel called Titcoin Official which you linked is operated by one of our community members (which there are more than 3 of btw.  Wink).

You are taking the Titcoin accounts and want to be called the official developers, yet you want to fork the coin into something entirely different than it currently is. I am just being myself making a new wallet for the Titcoin that we currently have. What is the problem?  Huh  You are free to make any forks or create new coins. No need to accuse me of things or make confusing claims about "official" or "unofficial". There is only one Titcoin blockchain, it can have different clients created by different people.

I´m quite happy to see new development and movement wit TIT and TTC.

Why not try to merge these two cryptos.... give it a chance

Because technically you cannot merge two blockchains. You can only combine them in some way and make a third currency, but the original chains will always continue to exist. So if there is a group that also wants to maintain the original coin (which is the case here) it is going to be a big mess and will lead to a lot of confusion.

Before the new developers reached out titcoin was dead so you only can win

Now Titcoin is clearly alive again, so we have two independent currencies.  Smiley  Many people have invested in Titcoin under the assumption that it stays the way it is and not turns into some weird POS-POW-Masternode mix-up.  Roll Eyes Wink  Bitcoin is a very stable and reliable codebase to build an altcoin on.

Titcoin Update
Version 0.16.3 Update 1

Dear community, I am happy to announce a new build of the Titcoin wallet! You can download it here: https://github.com/titcoin/titcoin/releases/tag/v0.16.3-titcoin1

Changelog:
  • Added a download option for Mac OS
  • The download option for Windows includes an installer and has a significantly reduced size
  • Minor GUI fixes
  • Updated checkpoints and chain statistics
  • Refer to new website https://titcoin.github.io (also available via http://titcoin.website)
  • Rebased some commits to reduce the commit distance from Bitcoin

If you are a Linux user using Git, please make a fresh clone of the repository which is necessary due to the rebasing.

We have a new website (http://titcoin.website) that is being developed with the help of our community member "cryptobart"! It is still a work in progress, but it should give you an idea of where we are going.  Wink

Since it is thanksgiving, I think the comunity has to give thanks to you.
There would obviously not be any more titcoin-project without you.

I am buying right now, because I think it is cheap. Though I feel like I am the only one.  Cheesy

Yobit is crappy as hell; would not dare to move to much there, but for the time beeing it is ok.
Since the new wallet is compatible with the old, there won't be any problems, if they don't maintain it.

Chainz.cryptoid.info is a good altcoin-blockexplorer; lots of stats and stuff, but they are a little costly - dunno about their prices at the moment.

So, whatever happens I will be here, as I have been all the time.  Wink

Thanks!  Smiley  Unfortunately Chainz.cryptoid.info has stopped accepting new coins for now, but we will find a different one. And yeah I hope that we will get a better exchange soon, but a good block explorer is probably even more important right now because most exchanges require having an up to date explorer. https://prohashing.com/explorer/Titcoin/ works but it doesn't look like a normal explorer.  Cheesy Getting a new one should not be too difficult, I will focus on that now.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Titcoin™ [TIT] | New Developer | Discussion Forum (2016 XBIZ Awards Nominee) on: November 26, 2018, 12:40:46 PM
Dear TittieCoin developers, thanks for reopening this thread.

Most Titcoin community members I have talked with so far do not want to merge with TittieCoin. Since this thread was locked, I had to create a new ANN here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5018869.0

The previous Titcoin Discord server was closed, so the remaining Titcoin community moved to a new Discord that is linked in the new ANN. We also have a new Github repository (https://github.com/titcoin/titcoin) that contains an actively developed Titcoin wallet based on Bitcoin 0.16.3. Since most of us do not want to merge with TittieCoin, we will obviously also not follow your "updates" and will keep using the existing Titcoin network as before.

I do not claim to be the "official" Titcoin developer, but you have no right to do so either because you were not elected by our community. Buying the official accounts from the previous developer (or making a deal with that one person) does not make you the "owner" of Titcoin and does not give you the permission to decide about its future. The existing Titcoin exchanges Yobit and Cryptopia consider you to be the official listing contact due to that deal with the previous developer; However that does not give you the right to decide about their user's funds.

We are already in the process of building up a new infrastructure with new pools, block explorers and exchanges in order to defend against your takeover attempt. I would like to invite all Titcoin users here to join us. We would be happy to collaborate with the TittieCoin community for marketing campaigns etc., but "merging" two cryptocurrencies (as far as that is even possible  Huh ) is not in our interest.

I hope that you will agree that "merging" two coins against the interest of one of the two communities does not help anyone.

Best regards, Gandalf86
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Titcoin [TIT] Community thread - Alternative ANN - The cryptocurrency for adults on: November 22, 2018, 05:48:59 PM
great new wallet.

very good work @Gandalf86

Thanks bud, it is very motivating to get positive feedback like yours!  Smiley

A couple of things are in the pipe, new website, new explorer, new exchange ... I will let you know when these milestones have been achieved. If you want to get involved, join our Discord.

Also thanks @dr_sergeus for adding us on your awesome pool! The Fairmine pool is the recommended pool in the ANN now, because it is the first pool using our new wallet.  Cool  This is a very important step for the stability of the Titcoin network.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Titcoin [TIT] Community thread - Alternative ANN - The cryptocurrency for adults on: November 19, 2018, 09:24:16 AM
Good news guys and girls. On Yobit, Titcoin deposits & withdrawals seem to be working again! So right now we can finally trade Titcoin again. Yay!  Smiley

Cryptopia is still disabled but I hope they will reactivate their market soon. We are still going to be looking for additional exchange listings though.

This thread looks a little strange because it's only me writing, but the real action is going on in our Discord (https://discord.gg/PADaP7s).  Wink  Most of our community members don't seem to be heavy Bitcointalk users.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Titcoin [TIT] Community thread - Alternative ANN - The cryptocurrency for adults on: November 14, 2018, 07:13:11 PM
crex24 wallet still not working

I have no idea what crex24 is, bud, but we don't have a market there and I don't intend getting listed there right now, either. I'd like to focus on reputable and trusted exchanges for now.

Unfortunately these listings cost a lot, so if someone here would like to contribute something for raising the listing fee, please get in contact with us on Discord. Thanks  Smiley
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Titcoin [TIT] Community thread - Alternative ANN - The cryptocurrency for adults on: November 13, 2018, 02:38:48 PM
Unfortunately right now both exchanges (Yobit and Cryptopia) have disabled Titcoin withdrawals and deposits or disabled the market completely following the orders of the TittieCoin devs, who have bought the email address of the previous Titcoin admin.  Angry

We are currently trying to get listed on more exchanges. If you would like to help funding a new exchange listing please get in contact with me.  Smiley

Interesting, thanks.

Titcoin Update
Version 0.16.3

I am happy to announce the first stable release of Titcoin 0.16.3! Smiley You can download it from here: https://github.com/titcoin/titcoin/releases/tag/v0.16.3-titcoin

There are only minimal changes from the previous beta wallet, as no errors have been reported for that. Changes are:

  • Increased default transaction fee to reward miners (0.0002 TIT per kB).
  • Travis CI is set up on Github, all validity checks inherited from Bitcoin are passing (unit tests, functional tests etc.). This is used to make sure that no errors or incompatibilities will be introduced by future releases.
  • All commits (or merge commits) on the master branch are PGP-signed by me (Key ID 5FDB0725323185CC) for increased security.

Some rebases were necessary to fix tests that were broken in previous commits, so please check out a fresh copy of the repository if you are using Git. Gitian builds have been put on the backlog again for now, because the effort for building them is higher than expected and the benefits don't justify the amount of time to be spent on it at this point. I hope that we will have reproducible builds in the future, but I feel that building up a community and starting some marketing is more important at this point.

I hope that everything works, feel free to consult the #support channel in our Discord if you encounter any difficulties. Feel free to message me if you want to get involved into the project or would like to start partnering with the Titcoin community.  Cool

The next steps on the roadmap (for the next 2-3 months) will be:
  • Titcoin giveaway and community building activities
  • Increased activity on social media
  • Looking for someone to create a homepage for Titcoin
  • Getting listed on more exchanges

Long-term goals include:
  • Mobile wallet
  • Reproducible builds (Gitian)
  • Upgrading the codebase to Bitcoin 0.17 (or what ever is the most recent version then)
  • Adjustments to the Titcoin wallet to support live cam (tipping) scenarios better
  • And of course, being accepted as a payment method by adult sites and online stores, and becoming the No.1 tipping method in online adult communities!

any info if the new wallet release is mandatory or optional?

Releases are always optional, unless they are mandatory.  Wink  So in this case it is optional.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Titcoin [TIT] Community thread - Alternative ANN - The cryptocurrency for porn! on: November 05, 2018, 08:15:44 AM
Please be advised that these are not the Official TitCoin developers that you are dealing with.

Anything downloaded or used is at your own Risk as these are provided by a 3rd party and not by the actual Tit developers themselves.

That's right, I am not the official Titcoin developer. I am just a community member making a better wallet here.  Smiley  You should only run software by people you trust, as always. Thanks for pointing out!

Current status:
  • I have fixed some regression tests in the repo that I had previously overlooked. For this, a Git rebase was necessary. If you have cloned the repository before please do a clean checkout or you will encounter merge conflicts.
  • Travis CI has been set up for our repository at https://github.com/titcoin/titcoin
  • In the next days I will set up signing keys for commits and releases (which is required by Travis to accept the code, among other reasons).
  • Signing keys will also be used to sign builds created with Gitian after that.

That's why advertising, like getting mentioned in a book will help.  I hope someone can answer my question.  I believe there is a different difficulty with each coin.  So if you have x million Espers, it might stake X amount of times a week.

5 million Espers, it might stake ? amount of times a week.

1 million Espers, it might stake ? amount of times a week.

This is a crucial utility aspect of the coin, same thing with the mining rush for Bitcoin and other coins, and yet a lot of devs of staking coins don't make it clear, nor the team able to answer the question.

I have written a short guide that contains some example calculations (for general POS) here: https://github.com/bitcoinx2/tutorials/wiki/Proof-of-Stake

Regardless of the actual amount that you have, you might (theoretically) stake between zero and [the amount of blocks in that timespan] times a week. It's probabilistic. On average though, you will always stake according to your fair share in the network. So if you have 0.1% of the network weight, you will stake every 1000th block. Espers block time is 5 minutes, but only 50% of the blocks are POS, so the effective target is 10 minutes. One week is 7 days * 24 hours * 6 POS blocks per hour = 1008. So with 0.1% of the network weight you will stake roughly once a week on average. Sometimes multiple times a week, sometimes with a break of multiple weeks.

The last time I checked the network weight it was at maybe 6 billion so 0.1% of that would be 6 million. Hope that helps.  Wink
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Titcoin [TIT] Community thread - Alternative ANN - TIT community self defense on: October 29, 2018, 08:52:08 PM
Current status:

  • Tests with other users have been successful so far!  Cool  Sending and receiving coins is compatible with the existing Titcoin network (which is obviously the premise for making an alternative client, but anyway Wink ).
  • I'm back home and will focus on crafting a solid reproducible release now.
  • Community building activities will start when we have a stable release.
  • We definitely need more solo miners, please come to our Discord if you need help with setting up your SHA256 miner for Titcoin. Please understand that pool mining might be easier but does not support the network in the same way solo mining does.
  • Exchanges, pool operators, explorer operators etc. will be notified of the new software version progressively as we continue.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Titcoin [TIT] Community thread - Alternative ANN - TIT community self defense on: October 23, 2018, 09:57:09 PM
Great job!!
I've contacted Cryptopia to make sure they act correctly.

Thanks for your help, I hope they will not swap all their TIT to TTC, lol.  Cheesy

Titcoin Update
Version 0.16.3 Beta

You can now download a test build for Windows (64bit) of the new Titcoin wallet from here: https://github.com/titcoin/titcoin/releases/tag/v0.16.3-titcoin-test

This test build was created on my own production system. I would like to move to reproducible builds in the future (i.e. for actual "releases"), but for now this should work.  Wink  Please treat this as beta stage software and do not use it to access large amounts of TIT coins or mining power yet until enough people have confirmed that everything works. Please share your experience, positive or negative, in order to build up that necessary feedback and to help fixing possible issues early.

This wallet should be 100% compatible with the existing Titcoin network. This is another step towards an upgrade for the entire network and to make Titcoin a robust and modern altcoin again.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Titcoin [TIT] Community thread - Alternative ANN - TIT community self defense on: October 21, 2018, 08:21:23 PM
Support is here Gandalf!

Thanks for your support bud! Smiley With regard to TittieCoin I think it would be best to just ignore what they are doing and focusing on our own stuff. I have already debated with them about this in the past, but it only increased the hostility and created even more misunderstandings than it solved. They might have their own agenda but this shouldn't prevent us from building a friendly and respectful Titcoin community over here. The consensus is what the blockchain says, not what some developers say.

Titcoin Update

You can now build new wallet from https://github.com/titcoin/titcoin/

Changes are:
  • Added regression tests using past Titcoin blocks. With this you can have a very high confidence that the new wallet behaves exactly like the previous Titcoin wallet and is fully compatible with the existing network. You can run the tests by running "make check".
  • Added a seed node by Sneil which is already running the new software. You can find a list of the hardcoded nodes here: https://github.com/titcoin/titcoin/wiki/Peers
  • Improved initial connection speed by not waiting for DNS seeds when we don't have any.  Wink

The new software version is 0.16.3, similar to the Bitcoin version it is based on. The past wallet version released by the original Titcoin devs was 1.0.0. We will be following the new versioning scheme in order to improve transparency with regard to which Bitcoin version our wallet is based on, since we will be closely following the Bitcoin upstream in the future in order to benefit from the most recent improvements.  Smiley

Windows and Mac binaries will be released within the following week or so. Maybe 2 weeks depending on how many issues come up.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Titcoin [TIT] Community thread - Alternative ANN - TIT community self defense on: October 19, 2018, 07:09:56 PM

Source: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=423523.msg47051700#msg47051700

The TittieCoin developers are continuing their malicious attempt to force existing Titcoin users to give up their Titcoin for Tittiecoin. I am currently not available because I am travelling and will not allow them to ruin my vacation during these 2 weeks. Titcoin will continue to exist of course, nobody is forced to give up anything or to install any update. I am very disappointed by their ongoing hostile activities towards Titcoin.

If you want to help, please spread awareness on social media about this since I cannot even post on the original Titcoin thread because it has been locked. Please also ask the exchanges to not update to the Titcoin software released by the Tittiecoin devs if you are interested in your coins on Cryptopia or Yobit to stay TIT coins and not suddenly turn into TTC.  Roll Eyes
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Titcoin [TIT] Community thread - Alternative ANN - TIT community self defense on: October 18, 2018, 07:28:46 PM
I have good news for you! The current working state for the new Titcoin wallet based on Bitcoin 0.16.3 is online on Github now:
https://github.com/titcoin/titcoin

Beta-Testers are welcome to try this new wallet. You will have to compile it on your own system at this moment, because this is NOT an official release yet. Compilation instructions can be found in the according README files. Please treat this as experimental software at the moment, i.e. make sure that you are not risking your funds.

After enough people have confirmed that the wallet works as expected (including solo mining with it), I will create Windows binaries and then the new wallet should be considered safe to use. Then we will start some first community activities and giveaways.  Cool  This should start around mid-November, and it's going to be very exciting!  Smiley

The new Bitcoin codebase has everything in place in order to deploy protocol improvements like SegWit easily. We can start deploying these changes during the following months if the majority of the community agrees with it. I would like to invite everyone of you to get actively involved! The main platform for our activities will be Discord, so please join to make sure that you are not missing any news.  Wink (The invite link is in the ANN)

If you are trying the new wallet please post about your experience here to inform other community members about whether it is safe to use. Please also report any issues (even the smallest ones) so they can be fixed!  Smiley  Together we can make Titcoin one of the greatest altcoins in existence.  Cool

Wisp News

Hello everybody, I am happy to present our first block explorer! Smiley http://wisp.thecryptochat.net/
I have chosen TheCryptoChat for our first block explorer service because the owners and me have friends in common. If you would like to see other block explorers, please suggest them in the chat and let's raise the money together, as we are all part of this project together.

The wallet is already released and functional: https://github.com/wispproject/wallet However we don't have Windows binaries yet because I'm not a Windows developer. If there is anyone here able to create release binaries for Windows feel free to offer it to other users, you should always decide for yourself whether you trust the person who created the binary or not.

This project is NOT dead, it is just waiting to gain speed again! We're here to create an anonymous currency based on POS that does not rely on any authorities or centralized management, which also means that initiatives need to grow from within the community. If you have an idea that could bring this project forward I will happily support you with implementing that idea. Smiley In particular I would be interested in making a list of use cases where a currency like Wisp would add value right now, in its current form, better than any other cryptocurrency. Let's start adding value where we are right now, life is too short to always wait for things to get better. True opportunities can be found in the present and not in the future. We have the power of an open community here, so let's start brainstorming! Smiley Please join our Discord: https://discordapp.com/invite/2YUewTX

Best regards, Gandalf86

No problem, I am not accusing you of anything. But there is still a theoretical possibility of malicious intents here, so people need to be warned. Generally it would be more helpful for everyone if you would work together with the Espers team instead of releasing downloads on your own. Because then they can verify your work and make an official release from it!  Smiley

Can you give their contacts?
I will send step by step instructions, since I have done everything, they will check and respond.

The entire team is active on Discord every day.  Cool  https://discordapp.com/invite/hhYP8yT I'm not exactly sure who is responsible for the wallet guides, just ask about it in #espers-main.
